Battery settings are part of the app phone manager.

You mean this option?

Try to reach it through phone manager. Look at the permissions, maybe you have stopped something?
I will try to connect through bluetooth in my car today and will report later.
Edit: Works ok with my Pioneer xxxxx in my car, no problems during calls.

no issue here.

In Bluetooth settings, when paired to the car cclick on the "!" on the right hand side next to your paired device. Is "Phone Audio" selected? Select if not...you may have to unpair and re pair the phone to the car first.
Battery settings, as mentioned above should be in advanced settings, if it's not there then chances are you've changed something, but a factory reset should get everything back to normal. It's a pain I know but ultimately it should work!

battery settings will be missing if the phone manager app is disabled..

^Yes, but it can be disabled only if you have root, otherwise it's impossible, because it's a system app.

Ok...its seems there are some issue on my phone related to " i dont know"... 1. No phone manager app ( at least it is not in app section under settings) 2. Bluetooth is paired but there is no the phone audio option...
now ill try a factory reset...

Ok...factory reset solved battery settings missing...but its still there Bluetooth issue and exchange one...

Try ti reset again.

Try pairing both ways....delete current pairing (On both the phone & car) and then initiate the paring from the car to the phone, see result, and then delete pairing again and try initiating from phone to car if still no joy. (this worked for a weird glitch on mine where the phone would constantly ask for permission to share my contacts with the car!)
Other than that, sorry haven't a clue...maybe have a word with the car manufacturer?

Guys, I have the same bluetooth problem. Although is paired it wont run more than one call the through the car radio, if I tried to call or received another call It wont work. Eventually need to turn on the celphone speakers... Its being like that since.the last android update. Ive tried everything so far and nothing. Its wierd very little people have notice this and they havent work on a patch yet...
Please help is very appreciated, JJ

P9 Lte issues with Car
Seems a common problem of a kind. I have no issues with the Bluetooth connection but I cant ask the car entertainment system to call a phone number it Just comes up and says there is no internet access. Huawei just says reinstall the app.... the app that is used for the voice activation of commands is "Google now" - cant uninstall that. Any Ideas ????
Thanks Meggsy

Anyone had any joy in regards to the car audio issue yet please.
Bought the p9 lite yesterday and have same issue, pairs ok and stereo knows a call is taking place as radio turns off and can see people have answered call as timer appears on stereo display but they cant hear me and I cant hear them.
Have tried all the tips I've found online but still no joy.
Have even tried straight from a factory reset with no accounts set up and still same.
Shame as like the phone and was hoping to get the real p9 on upgrade in couple of months but I really need to have the hands free working properly

WOW you have been on top of your work Jellette. I won't use this, but i'm sure there are plenty of people who would want to pass their old phones like Vibrant down to their kids and don't want the cops coming to their home haha
Does this not have the Play Store?
This has no way to communicate. The full rom will eventually come out though.

I'm flashing this when my contract is up in May.
GREAT. definitely downloading this and using it when i move onto a new phone
That's so sick!! I can't wait to see what kind of battery life people get compared to an itouch.
Vibrant powered by Ice Cream Sammich
Good to see you back in the game man.
A side questions though, how do you take screen shots on a kb5 rom??
Well I can see no activity on this thread in a long time and sadly I have to report the rom does NOT work reliably when you use a BT headset. The sounds stops working. Not sure if your even bothering to work on it anymore but thought I would report back

Does it come on and connect but just drop out at times? Does the BT headset work good on any other ROM you used in the past (preferably a 2.2 Froyo).
I dont have a BT headset but I can always take a look at it for you.

It seems to be a bluetooth specific issue. Everything works just fine until you try to use a bt headset. When you pair the headset everything works fine but the music no longer plays in the headset or on the speaker. Ever after you unpair the bt this is the case. The only way to make it work is to reboot the unit and no use BT at all. The headset has worked on this phone previously and works just fine even on other froyo builds. I have also tried doing this with the default music player and also loading up poweramp. Results are exactly the same which is why i suspect the bt is the cause. I have also tried using bullet kernel also to o avail as the default kernel doesnt support voodoo sound a HUGE oversight. This I am gonna just have to bail on this rim and move to something like a cm with no gapps great idea but it just doesnt seem to work
I don't think voodoo kernel was used due to beats.audio looks to be installed.
Here is updated / added some Bluetooth apks. I also switched it to Bali 1.8.8UV
Its untested - here it is:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ug8c51fehbe18c7
Appreciate the efforts but no dice. This was a great idea but just doesn't seem to be a reality. Seems like I am the only one truly interested in this anyway so time to throw in the towel and just strip a "regular" rom.
Apparently something got removed that is critical to the Bt working properly.
Thanks again but I am done with this, simply not worth the effort anymore
I hope this wasn't abandoned. I got a new phone and wanted to use this. The Bluetooth thing is essential.

Same here. I'll probably give the ol' vibrant to my fiance's daughter instead of buying her an iPod
...Might get myself another vibrant and put this ROM on it just for music/game purposes
Got my SGS3 last week and have been looking forward to trying this out. Wiped everything and Odin to stock. Installed Moschiach and everything seemed fine until I plugged in my headphones and had no sound. The headphones work in my Kindle Fire and SGS3 so I know it's not the headphones. Any Ideas? Tried reflashing without wiping but no go. Maybe another Odin and full wipe?

[Q] bluetooth and ics are enimies- dam I gave up- apple u win

I am really about to throw this phone out the window as it really has pissed me off for a long time.
The story goes like this i was on GB listening to music thru Bluetooth on my car stereo and everything was fine, after the ICS upgrade of which i tried all the roms available from stock to custom rom, and the latest Alliance rom, I started to face a weird problem my phone reboots with any ics rom whether stock or custom rom, it reboots after about 30 minutes while listening to music on my sony car stereo only.
What drove me more crazy I noticed my sg2 also has the same problem, so i checked the sg2 site and boy if you type in the sg2 q+a forum ( ics bluetooth ) you will find 4 pages that complain about that issue.
I am fuming now, as it also only happens with my sony car stereo and not with my bluetooth headset ( philips ). Dam Dam, so shall I go back to dam SLOW GB just to solve this grap.
And why exactly after 30 minutes this dam reboot happens with my sony car stereo when playing music over bluetooth
And for gods sake which controls the sound coming out of the device via bluetooth is it the kernel or the modem, AAHHHHHHHHHHH i am about to throw this out the window!!
WHAT IS CAUSING THIS FOR GODS SAKE, dam I miss my iphone
Strenge problem...
same with me..
well i am sure some will blame for the problem
no problem with Bluetooth and ICS here, listen to music on Bluetooth headphones all day every day at work without issues!
on Paranoid Android of that helps...

have you tried setting the visibility to never time out? in ics, after turning the bluetooth on, tap on the note and press menu, you'll have choice how long the phone can be visible to other devices.

I'm on Criskelo's ICS ROM, and I use Bluetooth with it extensively.
Take today for example, I was at the gym, using a BT heart rate monitor, BT headphones, and my phone was also connected to my MotoACTV sports watch, all simultaneously and flawlessly.
When I left and got into my car, my phone automatically connected to my BT head unit, and Spotify continued to play from where I left off (beta Spotify client for ICS is so much better than the regular one!).
I also happily tether my Transformer Prime to my phone via BT.
All in all, Bluetooth and ICS has been a great success for me.

Dave

i will do that and report tomorrow when i drive, although i don't get how that has to do anything with the random reboot after listening to music via bluetooth in my car only,
On the other hand i don't have random reboot on my Philips headsets even if i listen to music for hours quite weird.
do u think it might be wifi related as I have wifi on when i drive and modem on, so do u think its a bug with wifi that causes these reboots when it is in the car and it is on but not in use

I'm running stock ics (german ota), rooted now with a safe kernel (speedmod). BT with my stock FordSync system works flawlessly, and did when on the risky stock kernel, too. Not sure that helps, though it might weed out something for you.

setting the visibility to never time out this did not, again after 30 minutes a reboot happened in the car while listening to music over my sony stereo bluetooth. Dam its driving me nuts.
One thing that I can say is, Sony bluetooth has never been good to my Galaxy Note. It's probably just the way it is...
I have MW600, keeps on freezing. My friend also report problems on his bluetooth headset that prompt him to change.
So, there's a probability that because it is "Sony" the reason why the problem is there.

Bluetooth headset incompatibility

I am trying to use a bluetooth headset having paired the gear. It looks impossible: the gear forces to have connected the audio in calls that disconnect the headset I want to use.
is there any way to have both devices running at the same time but use only as headset the normal device and not the audio in the gear?
I am able to pair both the gear and bluetooth headset with the note 3. I'll try my S4 to confirm.
Sent from my SM-N900P using xda app-developers app
The S4 is able to pair both at the same time as well. Initially I had to unpair the gear and then pair the headset, then repair the gear.

how to do
I see, you connect gear as device for audio call and the bluetooth as media.
I am doing the same but finally, having both devices connected at the same time, how to redirect the audio of the call to the bluetooth...
Money back!
Finally I confirm it cant work with a normal bluetooth headset. This is fundamental for me.
I am using with n5100 and n7000. Maybe is a bluetooth version problem.
It is obvious than gear screen quality is amazing. But for the rest including notifications communications and so on smartwatch 2 from sony is centurys ahead. Im my case the camera is not important...

Good luck with the Sony 11, I think you may well be eating your words on this one. Still, give it a try.:good:
Even though my Gear is not to my entire satisfaction It is a far more advanced watch than the Sony 11 and I have a preference for Sony. products.

I am a Samsung Fan: I own note 1, s1, s3, tab 8,9, note 10,1, note 8.
Could you explain with facts why is Samsung technically more advanced? I own an mw150 for a long time and it works like a charm. Now is time to change due the screen is broken.
Due some problems with Samsung mktg telling you lies about certain products, this time I will assure 100% on present capabilities each device. Except the ugly aspect and the screen bad quality, rest of the funcionality I claim are included and working in Sony. Again I am not interested in the camera.

I have found that the watch, the phone, and the headset all ring. When I answer with the phone the audio goes there, when I answer with the watch the audio goes there, when you answer with the headset (which is what I do) the audio goes there. In short, what ever device you answer with is where the audio goes. Hope this helps

When you have the N3 connected to your car using multipoint (more than one BT device) the car takes priority over the Gear. My N3 BT connection to my car controls audio playback, phone calls (initiated and received) using the car's controls, and S Voice on the N3 will pause audio to send text messages et.al. which couldn't be done when using A2DP previously. The only issue I've found with the Gear as it applies to BT is if the phone's got its mic open (EG: S Voice "listening") the Gear will display an error "microphone in use, try again." Other than that it's pretty much flawless BT wise.

[Q] asus memo pad me572c bluetooth

I just got this tablet but it is having a problem with the bluetooth. It connects with all of my controllers (Moga pocket, ouYa, and nyko play pad. It does not lose connection. But the controllers no longer react after 9 seconds.
Did you happen to find a fix for the bluetooth issue? I have the same problem using a microsoft bluetooth mouse. I even checked the demo unit at best buy and it did the same thing. Still think I am going to keep the tablet, but I do like to use a mouse when I have it on my desk at work. It just seems to lock up after 10 to 60 seconds but stays connected. If I disconnect it and reattach it works for another 10 seconds.

Silly idea here, go into the power saving app and turn the smart saver stuff completely off and try the bluetooth devices again... I do not use bluetooth on my tablet yet, but do have an ouya controller so I can try it later today...
Good idea, but unfortunately no luck. Turned power saving off and it still freezes. I will y around some more and see if I can find any other settings that may help.
I didn't get a chance to try the ouya controller with my ME572C last night. It is unfortunate that the power savings change didn't do the trick. I was assuming that the power saving setting was turning off bluetooth to conserve power and that is why the bluetooth was stopping...
i heard in an other forum that the wifi and bluethoot are in the same chip and that the can jam each other, I also couldn't fix the problem with my controller , i hope there is coming a solution
I played around a bit and if I restart my tablet with Bluetooth connected, then i use my mouse and it freezes. I can go into my menu/apps settings and see the bluetooth share app running. (Sometimes even with bluetooth on and my mouse connected the bluetooth share app wont show up in settings ) Then I disable the a2dp service in the bluetooth share app and my mouse instantly unfreezes and works fine for a lot longer, then the service seems to restart itself again and it freezes. Now trying to figure out a way to keep the a2dp service disabled. But cant disable the app as it is needed, but just need to disable a2dp service. Anyways will poke around some more today. If anyone knows how to disable just a service in an app please let me know.
I found a fix for it. I discovered with my speedlink myon gamepad that it doesnt work when i have a fully charged controller. Try to fully charge it. Then when you go to sleep let it on in connection mode when the it flashes fast. And try the next morning ito connect it. It workw fine now by me and i dont charge it more than 30 minutes when i want to play with it
My ouya controller had some disconnection issues at first but I was struggling with the configuration in the emulator I was trying to run. It appears to work fine now. Although my testing is not all that thorough.

There are many apps that you can try, but two apps come to my mind when speaking of disabling services : "disable service" and "my android tools". An alternative could be using "lucky patcher" app which can reassemble apks with removed components if you know which one to remove :
Disable service :

Lucky patcher :
Mmmmh don't know what I've done (actually I disabled A2dp service) but my bluetooth seems to be ko now and I can't get it to work by reversing my actions... ?
Disabling services didn't work for me, but the new lollipop update has fixed it. So far anyways, been using the mouse for 10 min with no issues. Happy so far.

"No Service" on car display when connected via bluetooth on 8.1 ROMs only?

When I connect to my car's stereo/head unit display via bluetooth on any 8.1 ROMs (Validus, DU, Z-Unleashed, NitrogenOS, etc), the signal display for cell service displays "No Service" as seen in the attached image below. Sometimes it will show a signal for a few seconds when first connected and then will change and show "No Service".
The firmware on the car's head unit (2016 Toyota Highlander) is up to date and I have not experienced this issue on any ROMs with Android 8.0 and below. The last Validus 8.0 works perfectly.
Perhaps this is an issue within AOSP 8.1 that will need fixed upstream by Google? I'm posting here to see if anyone else might be experiencing the same issue in their vehicle?
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem with my 2017 Rav4 and Oreo 8.1. I can toggle Bluetooth off and back on to connect again. Usually after a few times the problem goes away. I have an older 5 series BMW that does the same thing but it has never shown any service with an 8.1 ROM.

"No Service" on car display when connected via bluetooth
Bonjour
Since the upgrade of my Oneplus 3T with Oxygen OS 5.01 / Oreo 8.00, the coupling with my car kit TLink (Renault) is realized but without service. As you it displays a signal for a few seconds during the first connection, then goes to "No service".
The Renault TLink is up to date.

I'm guessing that because Oreo is so new and not yet widely adopted that others haven't had the chance to experience the same thing. Hopefully others will eventually chime in and we'll know for sure.
It would be interesting to know if folks in the Pixel and Pixel 2 forums are having a similar issue as well on Oreo.
I still have this problem on beta21 rom.
BT connection to my VW Golf works fine on LOS 15.1 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...ment/rom-lineageos-15-1-oneplus-3-3t-t3739169

Bonsoir
The issue is fixed: In fact it was necessary to update the firmware of my Renault system (RLink) which has been upgraded from 2.2.17.803 to 2.2.19.200.
The Renault services did it yesterday and now my Oneplus 3t is linked.
same problem here with my Opel Insignia model 2015. I'm running Nitrogen Oreo 8.1. I've the "zero service" message but the phone is obviously working

Try adding Bluetooth to Magisk Hide like in the attached image and reboot your phone. Seems to work for me.
To the OP:
On my 2015 Highlander with apparently the same headunit, I've not been able to get the headunit to display the media information (name of track playing, or streamed radio program name, artist/title etc.). This is with Nougat (stock, a version or two before they went to Oreo). While you don't get the cell service display working, do you get at least media information displayed correctly? I've held off any updates due to hearing numerous problems with GPS on some versions, worse problems with the bluetooth (failure to even play sound properly with Toyota headunits).
I would trade the "no service" display on Oreo 8.1 (or even 8.0) if I could get the media info playing properly.
My headunit seems to be up to date; I downloaded the latest version of its software a few months ago and ran the update procedure.

thanks mate! I did the same and it works! with magisk hide I've back the signal bar in my car BT
Hiding Bluetooth in Magisk didn't help me. I still have to reboot my phone while my Rav4 is running. So the other part of the equation is what rom are you guys running? I tried this with Nitrogen 8.1.

YES before having fixed the issue (no cell services), media services were correctly working
OnePlus 3T unrooted Oreo
Thanks! I will consider doing the Oreo upgrade then.

Try turning on BT before turning on the Rav4. I just keep BT on all the time. I'm running CandyOS and battery life is awesome even with BT always on. I had issues with NitrogenOS reverting to no signal sometimes.

I always have Bluetooth on too. I had to reboot my phone one time since hiding Bluetooth in Magisk. Since then it's been fine. Much better than rebooting every time I got in my vehicle.
