G930T_PG1_Stock_DeOdexed_Debloated_ROM (7/10/2016) - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveri

**You can begin the following process from any Build but you must already have Root Access**
**Required** [root] FlashFire
Download:
- G930T_PG1_Stock_DeOdexed_Debloated_ROM.zip
1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Open the FlashFire app, grant root access, and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Press "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Use the default settings under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and set "Reboot" to "Download."
6. Press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash . The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition.
7. Once the flash is complete and the device reboots into "Download" mode, flash the G930T_PG1_Stock_Modem_Recovery_Bootloader.tar.md5 using Odin's AP slot. The device will take 10 - 15 mins for the first boot!
8. To regain root access, re-run "root.bat" once the device has fully rebooted. Make certain usb debugging is enabled. Enjoy!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Notes:
1. The above process will not affect your Knox Warranty Flag.
2. The above process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Bootloader, and Stock Recovery.
3. The ROM will automatically wipe all User Data!
4. Follow this guide if you do not already have root access: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/root-s7-att-g930a-g935a-t3410538

Nice! Thanks!

First off thanks for posting the first rom in this section. I just wanted to ask if this runs at the speed of the stock s7 or does it lag and delay like mine is now after rooting and applying the fixes?

Others will have to share their thoughts on that. I am running pure stock w/out root. But debloated, deodexed ROM'S usually run a little faster than pure stock.

THANK YOU, will try as soon as I charge my phone and I will post updates.

Running amazing, definitely faster then stick rooted, only issue I'm having is when trying to make a call it takes a few seconds to connect :/ tried disabling Volte didn't make a difference

This rom is a phenomenal start. It is atleast as fast as stock s7 and runs circles around a fresh rooted one. As stated above the only thing I did notice was some weird calling issue but what cleared that up for me was dialer/settings/ turn off volte and also turn off wifi calling. The wifi calling had to be tricked into turning off as the regular wifi calling in settings was grayed out but I was able to get it in the dialer section. Thanks for a great start!

Hey, I also found this weird problem, may NOT be with this ROM, but I've never seen it before. Whenever I try to change the permissions of any app, I get this error. SO, I have to go thru and disable every app before I can change ANY app's permissions. VERY annoying. Anyone have a workaround?

I extracted a APK file out of there and just installed it normally. Hope that helps

Just odin flash the stock PG1 .tar files.
You may also want to remove that link to the regular SuperSU.zip. People should only use the special SuperSU version made for use with adb.

-Turn off the phone, reboot into bootloader mode (power+up on the d-pad)
-Look to see which version you have for your bootloader. Then you want to go to http://android.doshaska.net/rootable and download the SBF for your bootloader. This will enable you to root the phone and install a custom recovery called "OpenRecovery".
-Download the latest version of RSD Lite and the latest version of the Motorola USB Drivers. Place your SBF file on the root of the C drive, and rename it to some one letter name like a.sbf
-Put the phone in bootloader mode, launch RSD Lite, plug in the phone and it should appear. Select your SBF and start. If it all passes, your phone should reboot.
-Once that is done, you want to place OpenRecovery on the ROOT of the SD card. I suggest using FuFu's MiniMod. Once that is done, you want to root the phone. Turn the phone off, and hold power+x, when you see the Motorola M, release the keys and hold camera+volume-up instead.
-You are now into recovery. Using the d-pad, select "apply update.zip", you are now loading up OpenRecovery. I recommend you do a Nandroid backup before you root, and you can do another one after you root.
-Reboot the phone, now you should have Root. If it isn't already installed, install Superuser from the Android Market. This will enable you to manage what can use root permissions.
-Download TitaniumBackup (or MyBackupRoot) and backup all of your applications to the SD card. Anything that is on the phone's memory and not on the SD card will be WIPED.
-Download the custom ROM that you want to flash. For CyanogenMod based ROMs, you will need to flash Google Apps as well. Place them both on your SD card, under OpenRecovery/updates
-Once you are sure that everything you want saved is saved, turn off the phone again and reboot into recovery.
-Select the Wipe Menu and wipe dalvik cache, cache partition and then data(in that order)
-Now navigate to Apply Update and flash the ROM you want. When that is done, wipe ONLY the caches again, flash Google Apps if you need to, wipe caches again.
-Navigate to the miscellaneous menu, and select Change Baseband. Choose the baseband for your country/provider, so you can get 3G.
-Reboot the phone, and you will see that it is taking a longer time to reboot, which is normal because you are booting up a new custom ROM for the first time.
I think that sums everything up If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

If you're looking for an easy (but non-permanent way) of rooting, try Univeral Androot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20401155/UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5.apk
Keep in mind, that root access will be lost upon reboot and has to be activated again

I believe you're mistaken. I rooted my phone using Universal Androot and have to two other Milestones. I'm pretty sure there's an option to choose a temporary root or a permaroot that you would only lose if you reflash a stock SBF.
I know there is such an option - but somewhere I've overheard that a permanent root wouldn't stick to a stock Milestone.
Seems like I was mistaken - but due to this 'misinformation' I never tried to permaroot using UA.

Hi again
I have a question, I got to liking the game Inotia 3 ---
I followed your instructios on rooting and all and I'm satisifed with it...
The deal is the game force closes when I start it. What should I do about it? I used the ROM (CyanogenMod) you suggested.
is there anything that I should do?
btw: super thank you for your instructions... i really like the rom and it's fast

Were you able to play the game before you rooted? If so, then try using zeppelinrox's memory management script called Supercharger(you run it as root in the app "Script Manager")

No need to use OpenRecovery. All you need to do is download Script Manager from the Market, choose the script on your SD Card, Run as Root and voila!

[ROM] [STOCK] [NAE] [4.4.2] Stock Rooted NAE Rom - Yes it boots

Download here -> Link
Thanks to @optimummind, it looks like we have a working method now.
optimummind said:
Happy news to report~!! Everything works~!!
First of all, I give 100% credit to @jt1975 for PM'ing me with instructions for what he did to make the NAE ROM and NAE baseband work on the MF9 Knox-free bootloader with everything working - Wifi, cell service, and data.
Before I undertook the steps he provided, my phone setup was as such:
-Stock, Rooted MK2
-Stock MK2 kernel
-MK2 baseband
-MF9 Knox-free bootloader
-Latest Philz recovery
Now, here is what I did:
1. Downloaded ROM Manager from the Play Store & installed CWM v6.0.4.4 (not the Touch version).
2. Flashed Unknownforce's NAE modem/baseband using Odin v3.07. I shut down the phone completely & booted into Download Mode by holding down Power & Vol Down.
-Unchecked "Auto Reboot" & "F. Reset Time.)
-Once it said "Passed," held down the Power Button for 10 seconds until the phone rebooted automatically.
-Upon reboot, verified that the baseband flash was successful by going into Settings.
-In Settings, it said NAE for "Software version" and "Baseband version."
-At this point, I had no Wifi (couldn't even turn it on) but did have cell service and data.
3. Rebooted phone into CWM v6.0.4.4 recovery by shutting down the phone completely first then turning it
back on by pressing Power Button + Vol Up.
Inside CWM v6.0.4.4, I performed:
-"Wipe data/factory reset."
-"Wipe cache partition"
-"advanced" -> "Wipe Dalvik cache"
-"mounts & storage" -> "format /cache"
-"mounts & storage" -> "format /system"
-"mounts & storage" -> "format /data"
-"Wipe data/factory reset"
-"Wipe cache partition"
-"Wipe Dalvik cache"
-Flashed Unknownforce's version 2 NAE ROM
4. Rebooted phone.
From the get-go, everything began working - the cell service bars were active, 4G LTE turned on, and later, I was able to sign into my home network.
Now, some pictures...
Once again, mad props to @jt1975 for helping me & others~!! :good:

Before it is asked, here is the link to the modem.
It is in post # 2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338919
Installed latest NAE modem, then flashed this, boots fine, wifi/LTE fully functional. Be forewarned everyone (and this is not a shot at uknownforce, just a general heads up), because bloat is still in it, the Sprint ID will install quite a few apps upon boot and set up, so if you only have... say... 1GB of data, either skip setup or make sure you're connected to wifi. Thanks uknownforce! remember your work from the 3vo days (I was ognimnella back then, changed my name) and glad to be running your stuff again with my s4

Thanks very much for this !!!
EDIT: I've been using your work for various things for quite a while, thanks given and $10 thrown your way. Thanks again.

Since this is just the ROM, it shouldn't include the Bootloader (which would typically be included in a TAR / ODIN file). I didn't see comments about him removing the "KNOX" programming however. But that's not a big deal, you can easily disable those with script or via SuperSU.
For those looking to remove knox applications and configs you can look here. [the knox apps/configs are all over the place.]
Open @Kaito95 s script (please hit his thanks button if you find his information useful!) and you will see where the knox stuff is and you can remove it manually or just use his script (with any edits you want) and do it all.
Thanks for this, Unknownforce. Got me back up and running after I screwed myself trying to revert back to a custom rom post NAE ota. Would you happen to be working on, or do you know if anyone else is working on, the all-inclusive stock NAE firmware with bootloader?
Btw, beers on me for your hard work. Cheers.

Yes, it boots
No patch, just rom install
Yes, it's the stock kernel
Yes, everything works
No, it's not de-knoxed
Yes, it's odex
No, it doesn't wipe data, although I would recommend you do that if you're coming from a non-4.4.2 ROM
Yes, you need the latest modem installed
No, you don't need the latest bootloader (Although I've only tested it on MJA, which is KNOX flagged)

As to knox bootloader, no it's not included.
For the full Odin Firmware package, I suppose I could work up something like that, but SamMobile will likely have the official one in less than a week. My efforts and time are better spent on adapting mods to Samsung's disaster of surprisingly functional code.
So this just has knox apps not knox bootloader? Ive been avoiding knox like the plague so I dont wanna be knoxed up now.

Many times developers don't specifically state that you must wipe data, but the fact that not doing so generally gives rise to so many errors, that I'm surprised people still "dirty flash" and complain about errors.
On the other hand, if clearing data for the play store/google framework/etc. didn't work as @matt4321 suggested, and you are still can't access the play store after flashing an FTF (and having wiped /data, obviously), then it's most likely a problem with the GAPPS that come with your FTF/ROM that you flashed (unlikely), or a problem with your internet connection.
If you have any .apk file you wish to install, and you have ADB installed on your computer, just enable USB debugging in developer settings, connect USB cable, connect to your phone through ADB (adb -d shell) and type:
Code:
cd /storage/sdcard0 (or sdcard1, or wherever your .apk file is located)
pm install name-of-your-apk.apk
Something which can also be done with a terminal emulator, which I doubt you have since you don't have access to the Play Store.
Unbelievable
i did all those things, lost all the data, everything i did with that phone so far and now i solved it by simply setting time manually and forgetting and reconnecting to my wifi, i want to sincerely thank you all for you help, namely matt4321, for keeping my hopes up, i'll try towelroot again
i mean, would you believe it? something as simple as reconnecting my own wifi

[ROM][TAR] Stock NG2 Odin flashable

You will get the KNOX bootloader if you flash this.
YOU CANNOT UNDO THIS, ITS PERMANENT. FLASHING ANYTHING UNOFFICIAL AFTER FLASHING THIS TAR WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY
Just the NG2 FULL stock tar.
Do NOT rename the tar file. Even though it may be convenient to do so, Odin may fail the md5 check for no reason.
(L720VPUFNG2_L720SPTFNG2_L720VPUFNG2_HOME.tar.md5)
This is NOT ROOTED. Its the original TAR file for people who need an Emergency Recovery for their phones, and dont want to wait hours for it to download from slow file hosts.
Mediafire
Instructions:
1. Download and Extract tar above and download Odin
2. Put phone into download mode (power off, then power button + Volume Down, then volume up when prompted)
3. Open Odin (right click > open as administrator)
4. Load stock tar into the PDA slot
5. Start flashing
6. Grab some popcorn because it will take a while
7. Profit
Is this going to update bootloader into NG2?

Yes this will flash right on a rooted phone. The purpose of this is to go back to stock from either rooted or custom rom.

You will need to re-root the phone after installing this file! Then you will be able to install a custom recovery..
Thanks for putting this on a speedy host. I just downloaded it tonight in under half an hour at my daughter's house, and she doesn't have a particularly fast internet connection.
A quick question - does this file leave your programs intact? Sometimes I like a total wipe (except for my SD card), and start fresh.
Thanks again

Try flashing the ng2 kernel after the install. Thru custom recovery.

Thanks for the reply. I did try one more time and this time I went back in recovery and did the two wipes, went back in to download, opened odin3 3.09 via administrator and removed the auto reboot check. after it finished i manually rebooted and wifi worked.

Now I have another problem. I am no longer with sprint and my phone is unlocked from sprint. I have been using the GOLDENEYE rom on Walmart Family Mobile and all was warning well except for sometimes not connecting calls so I thought i go back to stock with this rom. Problem now is I can make calls with the Walmart sim card, put in the APN settings but i am unable to remove the Hands Free Activation nagging.. Is there anyway to make it go away?

Have you tried to pull down the notification bar with two fingers > long press on Hands Free icon to see if something is turned on to make it show up on notification bar? If turned on, shut it off. Hopefully it is that simple. If not that simple, I have no clue how to make it stop. Maybe someone else does.
I haven't heard of anyone having that problem.
Yeah, I tried everything, it's part of the rom I think, nothing worked to make it go away..
I just went back to goldeneye rom, all working perfect again. Thanks.
I just flashed this rom through odin and it didn't wipe any of my programs, isn't is supposed to?

Nope. it doesn't wipe data unless stated by the OP that it does. It only restores any apps deleted, or reverses any mods made. Example if you are running Aosp and Odin back to stock. You will get bootloop. After Odin always go to stock recovery and do a factory reset to have a clean install.

Wifi didn't work for me on this rom, coming from a custom mf9 rom. So I odin mf9 bootloader package, and then flashed stock mf9 odexed rooted rom, then odin the mf9 kernel. And did NG2 upgrade through Kies. Now Wi-Fi finally works for me but it's impossible to root. But at least now I got everything working, when I get off of work I can flash the OP version of NG2 cuz at least I could root that 1.

Ya there's root already for 5.1.1.
Go to the unified dev section for GS6 and grab the unified kernel. You'll need to unlock bootloader first in dev options then flash the latest TRWP recovery in Odin. Then flash the kernel and you'll have root.that's the version, so take a look at the details before flashing.

I just uploaded the tar
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347771401
i rooted my t-mo s6 with the above method, but the phone feature broke... can't hear the person i'm calling at all. i'm not sure if the mic is broke since i cannot hear the person on the other end...
i should have kept the phone on 5.0.2 @[email protected]
I finally have root, TWRP, call audio and data without tripping knox on my stock GS6 5.1.1. I didn't think it was possible. Am I wrong? Has this been done already and I'm just late to the game?
please share the method you used, because when i root my s6 on 5.1.1, i get no call audio...
I'm wondering if it's even worth rooting this phone. Setup wise I was able to disable and hide all bloatware with a $1.50 app. If I could get xposed working with temp root. I'd be a happy camper.

I installed the engineering sboot in download mode with odin, then allowed to restart rom, booted back to download mode, then v3 of the unified Kernel for sm-920T in download mode with odin, booted the rom, back up my efs, installed TWRP v12 (g925t_of6_aou_twrp_recovery_v12) with Flashify, rebooted into download mode and flashed g920t_of6_aou_kernel_v1.tar kernel.
I did get the security manager prompt after the restart but there is a way to freeze that prompt with Titanium Back up. I'm looking for that now
Are you sure you still haven't tripped Knox?

Just checked. KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0 (0×0000) is what it shows. I installed a custom rom (Xtrestolite) and all I needed to do was reflash the second kernel again to get audio back. Fingerprint is the only thing that isn't working so far.
I can post an image of the bootloader screen if you'd like.

Fingerprint scanner won't work cause that bootloader is a 5.0.2 bootloader.

Since Sammy issued a DMCA for the sboot, that's probably not a good idea
