Some developers including me tried to port CynaogenMod to our Le 2 but it is unsuccessfull as of now. We dont have a cyanogenrom built for SD652. The closest we have is for SD650 (MiMax) which throws some "page not found" errors by libc when ported to Le2.
My internet connection is not reliable and is too slow. Else I would have tried to compile CM. I have developed an Xposed module which makes it feel like an ASOP ROM. Use it till we have a custom ROM. (link : [MOD][Xposed][EUI 5.8] LeEco EUI Moder)
Dont worry, I know a few who are working on it.

It is being worked on don't worry

Wow good to have a dedicate LE2 forum on XDA. Looking forward to some new developments.

I'm pretty happy with greenify + gb on eui but I'm sure we'll see some nice roms in the following months

You can Port MIUI 8 if you want to check, Download MIUI 8 S652 version (Chinese variant) then port it to Le 2 and We can Install the G Services later? What do you say? will you try that?

While they may not be ROMs, if you flash the Xposed Framework you can install a lot of cool modules that mask the (rather sh**ty) look of EUI pretty well. Android N-ify will replace it with something that looks like Android N. It's pretty cool and definitely worth a shot. There's also very little risk involved.

yeah but the stock kernel is sh*t at idle state all cpus are at max and thats why i am having 3 hours sot and phone got heat up when i install modules on xposed so i am hoping that devs will make a kernel byt unfortunately leeco has not released its kernel sourace so fingers crossed . :x

I really need sony's walkman, album, caller, launcher, yeah almost all the apps. Somehow managed to get walkman and album app. But the launcher I got so far isn't good for le2 screen. I will post link to all apps to make the le2 almost similar to sony. Don't blame me, I am a sony fan and I used Xperia z1 previously. le2 is my first non sony device.

Stock kernel is real sh*t. Use Kernel Adiutor. I am getting more than 6 hours SOT. In idle state all A72 processors remains offline, while all A53 remains at 400MHz. No heating no hanging.
To get rid of sh***y EUI, use EUI Xposed module by zyberkiddy with GravityBox.

Well my advice is get use to logcats(google troubleshooting them, maybe even research a few ported manifactured roms to different devices and kernel porting will also be a big part of a build like this) , if you can get it to a working state these areas will be where most of the problems will be show whats conflicting, But without a kernel built/ported for the rom and hardware confliction issues your gonna have issues logcat may not be able to solve. Its not impossible but its far from easy porting from a different manifactured device but it does happen, htc roms have been brought to samsung for a few devices tho very few if any ever 100% function and it can be very time consuming for even a pro builder. would be nice for a custom factory rom from another branded device on our device!. I i wish you luck and will keep my fingers crossed and will check it out once its posted :good:

You are talking about 2 completely different things here. Our custom Roms are stock based with some modifications. These are no ports.
Sent from my SM-T210 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mm... I see what you mean.
Still, we could get a Nexus 7-like Lollipop ROM when Cyanogen releases CyanogenMod12. Or 13. Cannot remember.. :silly:
btw using a Touchwiz based rom to port a AOSP rom is completely useless that will never ever boot.
if you port something do it from a similair device with the same hardware and uif you port aosp you need a aosp base! if you port a touchwiz based rom use a touchwiz based rom Easy!
Mate not to crush your dream or effort but what the other devs are tell you if true including my self. Educated your self more, all the tutorials and guides regarding porting, building custom rom and more can be find on xda.
As for Lollipop we would have to wait till a compatible / similar device has it before it can be ported.
On that note hope that clear up some stuff for you and understand things better.
So the galaxy tab 2 has official support from cyanogenmod which I think it will be getting cm 12 which the device hardware and specs are not much different someone can port that over to our tab 3.
Or if the tab 4 gets official Samsung android l update you devs can port it to our tab 3??

The only ROM that varies from stock is gr8nole's CM11 ROM. All other are touchwiz

New roms for Zuk Z1

Hello,
I have an Honor 6 and i want to buy a Zuk Z1. My only hesitation to buy it is the rom community...
Do you think that some Rom teams will develop for Zuk Z1?
Thank you
I think no body interested for making custom rom here. I don't know why.?really this is good device.....
http://bbs.zuk.cn/z1/?filter=typeid&typeid=186 maybe this help
I am interested in custom ROMs but so far the experience with the device's software was pretty decent so I didn't have the urge to custom ROM it just yet.
The only thing I did was mod the kernel and key layouts to restore the capacitive home button because I like capacitive buttons better.
Edit: I would love a Marshmallow ROM though.
Oh Yes... Many roms but is only for chinese version ? Do you think this rom can be available in English for the zuk Z1? Why there are not available on xda ?
@gaara19 may be they work i have Chinese version zuk z1 , i installed Resurrection Rom looks fine till now....but as all ROM based on CM you will not feel any difference.

CyanogenMod is the #1 ROM by any device (maybe Samsung not), so you don't need to look for other roms.
What happens with this device??
Oneplus X have many custom roms, kernels and stuff the same with Oneplus 2. Oneplus X is newer than Zuk!
Development for this device is dead?

As for me I've started setting up a build server today and am going to experiment a bit with CM sources tomorrow.
Just to add to this thread, saw that the chinese/english zui rom is reportedly coming with a marshmallow version later this month according to their official comment on it http://bbs.zuk.cn/z1/t46551/ use google translate
Might give this a bash and see how it works when it arrives and if its nice, then make a clean rom without the chinese apps

Looking forward to it. I've tried all the ROMs out so far for the Z1 and found the original ZUI and CM12.1 to be the best choices so far.
Currently I'm running CM12.1 but we will see what the future brings.

No you don't. But you need a account at least.
If you want to download without their app then you need to press the "clone to my baidu" button instead of the download button, and then go into your "my baidu" and download it from there.
Now, instead of forcing you through their app it will just download like a regular file.
Ive managed to download their latest "ZUI 1.2.040" after like 5 tries or so from failed downloads, if anyone wants it just pm me and ill give you a link as ive uploaded it to my mega account (its only a free account and a 10GB bandwidth limitation hence im not making the link public).
Edit: I found that apparently the 10GB bandwidth limit is renewed every 30min (http://freebies.about.com/od/computerfreebies/fl/mega-review.htm) so screw it, here´s a link for the zui rom

Your spot on about that. Marshmallow is coming anyway for this. I was bothered about the lack of roms but this is what you want it to be. I'm happy with this until MM is out. I have it on my nexus 5 and it's a great step forward from Lollipop, but I loved Lollipop until the Nexus updated. I think Google got it right at last. Tyne COS kernel is a weak point.

Hi, if you are I would like to give it a try. Vodafone have given me a Pralx1 on contract. It certainly has lots of room for improvement as it has the usual bloated system install and isn't anywhere near as fast as it could be. It is slightly choppy through the menus compared to similar spec phones. How have you got round the problem of Huawei not releasing the code? Or have they released it recently?

Thanks for the reply VP. Well to be honest any improvements would be welcome. As I have the 16gb version and the current OS takes up 2/3rds of that space, which is insane. If its even partially debloated I will use what ever modified rom he throws my way. Fairly nice phone so will be keeping it and hoping for more custom roms to be released in the future if Huawei ever pulls there thumb out regarding there policies of sharing that is!
John
Debloating is easy if you have root, it's the optimisation that is a bit tricky. I've tried to use Kernel Aduitor to try and optimise it from there, but unfortunately I haven't found the best possible combination of settings yet.
How I wish we had RR, PA or Lineage ROMs, but I don't think that all the sources will be released.
In the meantime, Root and Viper4Android are there to satisfy me, though I hope we'll have Xposed for Nougat and a custom kernel in lieu of Custom ROMs..

Calm down, RR and others which based on LineageOS is consuming lots of battery, that's a normal situation, but if you don't want to lose your RR rom, you can make some in-system tweaks.
I would recommend you to use stock or modified EUI ROM's(23s or 28s in my opinion) like Cuoco's ROM or if you don't want EUI then maybe AOSP.
UPD: Oh well, I see. Which AC adapter do you use? Original from the box with phone?

I tried Lineage, RRemix and OmniRom. all were working fine but all had the same brightness bug, stock camera also flickers & green screens when taking video, I dont remember on which rom.
I also tried pixel experience, the brightness was stuck on high, better than nothing, so if you want to use it you can give it a shot.
From @Dil3mm4 on his GSI rom built
The problems you will face with Descendant are the same that you may face on any other ROM based over Phh work.
So, don't blame me, blame your OEM about their poor Treble implementation

if you are not a noob like me, you might find the files to flash on his github, since it looks like fixed, just waiting on his next rom release for these roms..
Reporting Bugs to @phhusson will help, probably least we can do, he mentioned creating Issue here
I will also do myself after testing more.
thing is the more people use it and report bugs, I believe it'll be a smoother experience for people who flash GSI roms later on the note9, and a great thanks to @phhusson, redoing samsungs lousy work. he deserves a huge thanks from the community.
Actually today I tried one more ROM, it from the same dev phhusson, here is the link
not only it is Android 9, it is stable enough to be used as a daily driver, I moved to it, Didnt want to post until I was sure.
So everything works, wifi, BT, hotspot, Sim, SD, Brightness Control, Mic, The Spen works as a mouse, HDMI, Fingerprints ..etc
what I found is buggy:
- the camera app(green flicker): you can use a third party camera app
- when you open the camera in Messaging to attach something.
One drawback to consider is Android P doesnt support Xposed yet. back to waiting for xposed support! =(
in fact I might keep using this, until Lineage OS 15.1 GSI gets fixed.

I have not. I've tried all the roms you've tried with the same results. I don't really have much time to tinker with roms now a days due to work but maybe some time next week I'll start a bounty to spark things up. The hardware on the Note 9 is just begging to be tampered with lol and it being the first Note with Treble Support really is "The Next Big Thing" :victory:
