Head Unit Dead - MTCB Android Head Units General

Hello everyone, I have a Pumpkin RQ0255 (rk3188) unit: rk3188-eng4.4.4 29032016 firm
What happened is that I wanted to upgrade to the firm Malasyk, but after installation is complete, the unit will not boot again, the screen is dead.
When I press the reset button, the lights blink one second, but nothing happens.
Anyone can guide me ??
Thank you

Had the same issue, read through this! I used a windows 10 laptop and it all worked great!

You do not have a Pumpkin, they are sellers, you probably have a Klyde but you cant find out until you get your screen on. I suspect that the problem is that the Malaysk ROM that you tried to load looks for a "C" at the end of the MCU name and it is a later MTCC based ROM, you can probably upgrade your MCU to an MTCC one and not have the problem, but first I would install @dsa8310's ROM from here :

Post in that thread for more help.
I dont think @shawndak's suggestion is likely to help because it is for MTCD units.

Its in the MTCD forum but my unit is a MTCB. So it will work on a MTCB! Just flash the proper factory rom

Ah, I see.
No need to flash the factory ROM - @dsa8310's xposed mod fools the ROM into thinking theres a "C" at the end of the MCU version number, so it will work on any MTCB unit KLD MTCC MCU or not.

Good to know! I did factory after I got the black screen. Was nervous i'd mess it up even more if I flashed a different rom!

[I9305] Seems to have a blown Digitizer

I openend a thread over at the main forum for the SGS3 and boomboomer mentioned that it would be better to use this forum for the problem.

I got an I-9305 yesterday.
On this device the touchfunction won't work. I still can use a mouse in recovery. In the OS itself there is now mouse.
I thought the one who got it before me had tampered with the devices internals but the screws are all without any scratches.
Could he/she had flashed something wrong on to this device and if so can it be "repaired"?

If touch doesn't work in both recovery and OS then the digitizer is blown, usually this happens when the kernel for another model is flashed.
There is no cure for a hardware fault, other than replace the screen assembly from a second hand handset or time for a new phone.
i9305 has a separate q&a section, mainly to prevent incorrect flashing.

How can I be sure to have the right kernel right now on the system? I mean the person who gave me the phone seems to have put a original Samsungrom on it which is stuck at the first setup screen with no mouse support.
As for germany there are 4 different versions for the stock rom. Even in Odin Mode under Current Binary and System Status there is just "Custom" stated.
So there is no way to tell what Originalrom I should use so that I can safely change the display/digitizer without blowing it at first startup again?
get the latest version for your model
it doesn`t matter which country or carrier.
I have the 4.4.4 germany unbanded version DBT....flashed after i had an UK 4.3 stock version.

Moto X Update Help

Hi all,
First post so please be gentle . I am currently on 5.1 on my 2nd gen device. For some reason I haven't received the MM update over the air. I was wondering if I really need to install a custom ROM at all? I am in the UK and my model is lpe23.32-25.3. Added a a screenshot to be slightly more helpful.
I got the update some time ago. Can you confirm it is an xt1092, and the system version?
Moto X Update
Indeed. Noob problems but I cant seem to be able to attach an image to this reply.
I can't post the screenshot either since I am a new user but yes the model is XT1092 and system version 23.16.3.victara_retgb.retgball.en.GB retde
Ok, if the system version is as you say there's a slight mismatch between GB and de at the end. Did you buy it second hand? Check in the fastboot to see if it's been unlocked (there are guides in the general forum). Have you tried to factory reset and see if the update cones through that way?
I sent it off to repair the screen and there was a issue with the device. Long story short Motorola messed up when returning the device and rather then send me the correct one they provided me with someone else's phone. I shall try the factory reset but I suspect that the bootloader has been modified leaving me with no option but to install the OTA myself? Or do I have any other option?
Hey guys,
Any chance I would be able to do this over the air? Planning on flashing the phone tomorrow and just do the installation that way
I think you need to read all the flashing guides and have a good idea of using fastboot, if you don't already.

Silverstrong quad core allwinner t3 w. android 6.01

I attached a screen print of version info. Problem is I cannot identify the MCU version, as it is all numbers, no mfg ID in there.
It looks the same as the Bonroad allwinner quad core.
Is this an MTCD unit? Can I flash Malaysk ROM on it?
Any help greatly appreciated.
PS: I am willing to do some investigating on this device if someone is interested. No problem to open it up for example.
I rooted it today with Kingroot v5.0.5.397 172
It rebooted 3 times during the proces, than it said it could not root, but on second try it was rooted.
I found more units with the same CPU type and probably from the same factory:
Bonroad C1067106A3
Pumpkin 27-AQTU73-US-A
Anyone tried flashing other rom on it?
Any custom development on these devices?
Anyone??
How can I enter to service mode?
I decided to use the Bonroad thread to post any further findings on this device:

Hi! I have completely F***cked up my USA SM-T813. First post, so im sorry if i get posting etiquette wrong.
##TL;DR I turned my tablet into an asian one with firmware and idk how to change it back##
So, since about march of this year (2018), I had a galaxy tab s2 (sm-t813) rooted with SuperSu. I have just recently heard about Magisk and really wanted to switch. well, from what i saw on switching, i had to (obviously) uninstall SU and install magisk. while i was reading, i read that i had to do some abd bull***t and other crap. well, i guess i did that wrong, which soft bricked my tablet. I managed to fix the soft brick, but now my tablet has the firmware of an asian one. i have no clue what i need to do to fix this. I have downloaded the correct (fingers crossed) firmware, but odin wont let me put it in. It stops at "connection *something*", which when i looked up probably means i need to install the drivers for this firmware. The problem is, i dont know what nationality this firmware is.
The file i downloaded was T713ZCU2BRA4_T713CHN2BRA4_CHN
the CHN at the end made me assume it was Chinese, but when i installed the chinese drivers, it still didnt work.
if anyone could help me get this fixed and (possibly) help me get magisk installed, that would be amazing.
thanks in advance!
Coltonious
P.S. the firmware change unrooted my phone. so supersu is gone. thats a plus i guess!
##TL;DR I turned my tablet into an asian one with firmware and idk how to change it back##
What now? T713 or T813? The chinese firmware you mention is for 713 and not the other one. USA you say? Well that should be Country code XAR: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T713/XAR/ OR https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T813/XAR/ load the most recent of these fitting to your device. And yes, CHN is China. Odin drivers are not country specific. You get one working and all is fine. If you get these errors you mention then the driver is not working or is the wrong one for another device. I use the same Odin driver for all my devices I have and had from Samsung. Some more detailed error description would be useful though. If you have problems loading with reasonable speed from sammobile: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 try this tool.
I don't know if it matters but you stated you have the sm-T813 and you are trying to install firmware for the sm-T713.

Need help for Huawei P30 Pro, your device has loaded a different operating system

So my friend got the Huawei P30 Pro three days ago and everything was working fine until one morning it was stuck in a bootloop, it basically powers the phone then the messege " your device has loaded a different operating system " pops up and some other link below the text, then after that it goes to the Huawei eRecovery tab where it has the option to factory reset, update the emui and power off but, we tried updating the emui and a messege appears that " getting package info failed ", also if you try to power off the phone it just goes back to the first messege " your device has loaded a different operating system " . Factory reset doesn't work too. Anyone experienced the same problem or has a solution to it? I'm totally new to installing software to mobile phones so i would like a whole explanation if someone has the time. Thanks in advance.

Hi There,
I have the same problem. I did flash it with a wrong version. I ran that command here is my build number:
PCT-L29 9.0.1.169(C636E1R2P1)
I cannot find anyway to fix this.
Update: Thank you for the reply. That is the first problem that there is no free version. The second one is that these files are full-base version not the sd-base version. How can I convert the full-base version to the sd one?

Hi m8,
Did you flashed a wrong version cust of EMUI 10 on your Honor View 20 device?
Later edit - i've found the dload firmware for your device (EMUI 10) which is needed to be used to revive your device, but it's a paid one and i don't have an account in order to download it

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately , I flashed it with C434 and I was not aware of it that it can brick my phone. All the blogs I looked into, they were all mentioning the PCT-L29 not the specific version.
That is the first problem that there is no free version. Is there any other website that I can request to download this version?
The second one is that these files are full-base version not the sd-base version. How can I convert the full-base version into the sd one?
Another question that my version is C636E1R2P1 and the one you provided is C636E3R4P3. They have different regions of E1R2P1 and E3R4P3. Does that create any issue?

No, the dload firmware for your device isn't free on other site
You can't convert those files. What you've got is the update zip files that are used by HiSuite when there is an update available for you. But you can't use HiSuite, because you would need your device to be working...
No issues, if you managed to get that firmware, you can use it
