So I noticed yesterday that while listening to Music in my car via Aux and charging at the same time I have static.
Once I remove charger static stops and music plays fine ?
This is with the original cable and I didn't have this problem with my Note 5.
Anyone else?
Can't test this until later today but does it do the same thing when plugged in to the wall charger and using headphones?
This is somewhat normal. Cheap cables and badly shielded electronic systems can create some interference, especially once they are all connected together - think about it, you're connecting the phone to different systems in your car at the same time. I have had this happen with several vehicles, phones, chargers, etc. over the years.

Thanks for the response.
But I've owned almost every Note and a couple of galaxy phones without this issue regardless of what cable I'm using.
That's why it took me by surprise that I'm seeing it now.
And both the charger and Aux are Samsung so it's not the cheap ones.

Yes, I experienced static on my Sprint variant of the Samsung Note 7 when using headphone jack to Aux in my car stereo. The static's volume was substantial and made listening to music unbearable. I was thoroughly disappointed that this brand new phone sounded like garbage, and thinking it was a hardware defect and considered returning the phone. I decided to troubleshoot this problem, and found an odd solution, odd because it seems to be a software issue. So, while my phone was streaming music and producing static while plugged into the Aux car stereo, I jumped into settings and toggled on the 'UHQ upscaler' found in 'sound quality and effects' at bottom of sound settings menu. (( Settings > Sounds > (Advanced) Sound quality and effects > UHQ upscaler )) Toggling this switch immediately got rid of the static issue... even after turning the toggle back to off.
Static Experience Continued....
So, while listening to static free music via Aux cable to car stereo, a call comes in through phone app, static immediately resumes as phone app takes over sound settings. I answer the call and static continues to come through car speakers obscuring the caller's voice. (no, this is not static from a microphone / speaker feedback loop) So, I unplug aux cord and place phone against ear the old fashion way. When call is about to end, I plug Aux cable back into phone, static resumes until phone call ends (phone app releases control of sound) at which point music resumes playing without static.
Troubleshooting methods tried while figuring out static via Aux cable to car stereo:
- plugging in various Aux Cables ( no effect )
- unplugging charging cable while listening to music ( no effect )
- playing music on Note 7 to home stereo via 3.5mm to RCA cable ( Did not produce static )
- toggling UHQ upscaler (( eliminated static via Aux cable to car stereo after toggling on (or off, after it has first been toggled on), static returned for duration of native phone app call and disappeared after call was over ))
This is weird.
STATIC!!!!! sHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I just recently purchased some new earphones (Sennheiser IE7) and when I plug these into my HD7, they randomly activate the speech recognition options (even though I have disabled this in the settings), adjust the volume and pause Zune playback.
Cheaper earphones don't do this when plugged into the phone and nor does a Bluetooth headset, it only seems to happen with these particular earphones.
Has anyone experienced this with other head/earphones or knows of a way to stop this kind of thing happening?

I have experienced this also. When I use a male to male 3.5mm cable to my receiver the phone acts as if the -vol button is held down. This does not happen when I use a really cheap sony behind the head style earphone or the buds that came with it.
My guess is that its caused by the spacing on the connector (you know, between the little rings).
Try a bunch of earphones. If you're desperate, you could try splicing the connector of an earphone that works with the earphones you want to use. Otherwise I would say its not worth it; the audio components in the HD7 don't seem to have great quality anyway. I had a razr2 and the sound quality was better than the soundblaster in my computer.
Hi Guys
I have my Notes dock connected to a pair of active studio monitor speakers (Cakewalk). When the 3.5mm audio jack is connected to the Notes 3.5mm out on the top of the phone all is well.
When I connect via the docks 3.5mm out (and set the Notes audio to dock out) I get an audible 'pop' from the speakers when the screen is touched - seems like a surge of power from the sound card audilbe from the USB but not from the phones own 3.5mm out.
When the phone is awake using fairly regular touches there are no pops, only when it is dormant for a few seconds does it make you jump out of your skin
I have had the same set up running perfectly using an HTC HD2 and Kidiggi docking cradle.
I don't know if it is the Dock or my Galaxy Note at fault
Any help is appreciated

I'm experiencing the same issue.
Audio ouput through the Note's own 3.5mm jack is popping as well. Doesn't matter whether I'm using passive headphones or an active speaker.
The Note I had before I got a replacement had this too, so it seems to be a general problem :/

Forgot to say that it seems that the speaker output gets disabled when there is no sound for about 2 seconds. As soon as something makes a sound the speaker gets enabled again and produces the popping sound.
So while listening to some music or watching videos there is no popping at all. Only when the playback starts.
I have the same problem with my SGN. It's much more noticable, when I connect car charger, but without it it's still there, but u need to focus to hear it. Any of you found solution to this?

No, unfortunately not... :/
So samsung has thrown some obnoxious software on here that not only warns me, like I am a child, literally every time I turn the volume up past 75% that it can damage my ears. But, also its borderline impossible to use my note 3 with my bmw aux in. What happens is when I plug in the aux cable to the headphone jack, and hit play on some music, it will pause and play over and over again, as if I were unplugging and plugging in the aux cable to the headphone jack. The only way I am able to get aux out working is to plug the aux cable into my phone, play something, then plug the other end into the car. Really obnoxious, is there a service I can kill to get rid of this bull****?

If you are rooted you can used manam xposed to disable the loud volume warning. I canthelp with the other problem, although I am having a problem with play music. After it plays a song the volume goes really low on the next song and i have to take my headphones out and plug it back in. There may be problems witht he headphone jack, I'm interested to see if anyone else is havign any problems.
I'm having a problem where I can't seem to put my finger on it. I have 2 week old Nexus 6 and part of the reason why I bought the phone was to stream music in my car. However, every time i try, I get this horrible static coming from the phone. So naturally I thought, well it must be the cable that i'm using to hook up my phone to the aux port of my car . So i bought a shelled Aux cable and the hiss is still there. So i tried my wife's Samsung Note 4 and the cable is fine and the sound is beautiful from her phone. So next logical thing is, this phone is busted. So I put some apple head phones on the phone, the hiss is gone! I can't hear it, it works beautifully. My next thought is, the head phones are just not quality enough to pick up the hiss. So I have some mid-range Sure head phones that are pretty badass. I put those in and i STILL don't hear the hiss. Now i'm clueless as to what it might be. The phone makes the hiss in the car's aux port while on the charger, while off the charger, All audio programs I through at it.
I was wondering if anyone is having the same issue or had any luck solving it.

Are you plugging it into power? You may need a ground loop isolater.
i have that exact same issue.. when ever i connect charger to phone...
forgot to say this is on a GS4.. my N6 will arrive tomorrow or friday..
if its a ground issue.. i should just add a ground to the cars wire harness.. that should take care of the issue right??
i will add the ground wire to the plug for the power outlet.
EDIT: i get my nexus 6 today.. i will try it out. if i still get the noise.. i will add the ground wire.
Aux sounds issues with nexus 6
This is my problem: with my old note 2, also a lgg2, I listen music in the car with a aux male to male connector, at the same time I also received calls and I could talk through the phone and listen through the car speakers. Now I can listen music with the nexus 6 but at soon as I receive a call stop sending the sound to the car and reroute the sound to the earpiece on the phone.
Hello, I noticed this while in a quiet room. I was playing a game and heard a low static noise along with the game's music, but when I turned off the music option in-game, the static still continued, and even when I turned the phone's volume all the way down.
It's the same with playing any music with volume set to silent. The static continues. But if i pause it, the static stops after a few seconds.
I wanted to ask if others experience this with their phones. I'm using NLOS-15.1
I will also check my friend's OP3 tomorrow to see if it's not something with the ROM, or just my 3t
I get feedback when charging my phone and using headphones. I assume it's because the USB-C port and headphone port are right next to each other.

Probably electromagnetic interference from the charging cable, combined with a poorly shielded headphone cable.
