Try to plug the USB Stick in and restart the device with USB Stick connected. If the device doesnt recognize the USB Stick after the reboot, this stick doesnt work for USB OTG.

That's weird. It could be possible that the ROM isn't receiving the correct input stimulus, i mean, it didn't know that a charger is plugged in.
Since you are a stock user, I'd suggest repairing the device using the Xperia Companion. You may search for the tool on Google. This is an official SONY software though, so keep your eyes so that you do not fall into malware traps!
This problem fixed after change mtp to ptp in menu setting > xperia > usb configuration. The usb work fine.
I think this problem is over, but after ubl, intsal twrp, instal cm 13, this problem is come back.
I was change usb configuration in developer options (in cm 13 roms) but not work again like stockrom 4.3
any suggestion ? i want using cm 13
i think my phone missing configuration / driver usb mtp or something u.u
after searching in google, many other sony device have same this issue...
can i go back to stock rom using twrp ? coz it was the only to installing rom.
my device cannot detect in pc
Oh well, i assumed that by "offline" charger, you meant charging the device while it is turned off.
If you could charge the device without any problems while using the wall charger, it could be possible that the problem lies on your PC. Please install appropriate Xperia SP drivers.

If the issue remains even after drivers installation, I will not be able to help you further.

LG G6 not recognised by PC

I got my new T-Mobile LG G6 today. I am unable to connect the same to my PC (Windows 8.1),
In the phone I am able to set the USB Debugging ON before connecting to PC. But once I connect the
phone to PC through the supplied USB cable the USB Debugging becomes greyed out and the PC is
unable to recognise the phone. I have change the USB ports and tried. Any help please ?

Try to either to use USB 2.0 type C cable or to update the Unified driver to 4.2.0 (add USB 3.1 support)
Install Windows 7 or 10. Install lg mobile driver. Plug in phone.
Did you install drivers?
Go to device manager and find your phone and uninstall it. Reboot. Plug in phone let driver install
Looks like only it's genuine usb 3.1 cable it's working for file transfer with PC!

This is wat system is sayiny aft changing the port
Change cable.
Change port.
TWRP should support OTG, but YMMV, it's very device dependent.

As I said in PM, you absolutely need a working usb connection. If you already tried everything suggested in our PM chat and what said in the previous post, I don't have any other ideas. Check your computer drivers, phone drivers. Make sure to connect your phone directly to your computer (do not se external usb hub/ports, use the ones that are soldered to your computer MB.
