x98 plus ii c2d6 - need stock image to flash - Teclast X98 Air 3G

i bricked my tablet.. does anyone else hav ea stock image of the c2d6 build? i found c2d4.
also - can anyone assist with figuring out how to install only android and completely elimate the windows partition on the plus II??? [email protected]

Hi,
I'm in a similar situation. On techtablets.com you will find a thread about the C2D4 variant of the X98 Plus II, but there is also a link to the C2D6 images. You will also make windows unbootable by using the android recovery procedure. Even though it is for the C2D4 it is worth to read the whole thread, since it covers also information about how to setup windows and stuff.
Would be interested how you will succeed. Please keep me updated here.
Update: have just reinstalled Android with the downloaded package. It works as long as you do not have blanks in the path to the files.
2nd Update: the win installer does not contain network installation, so you will have to add it manually.

[Q] How to flash latest firmware?

Hello once again. As usual, I've first tried to search my question in the forums, but I couldn't find the answer. So, here I go:
I have a Lumia 925, for which the latest software, according to nokia.com, is 3050.XXXX, whereas the version I have in my phone is 3047.XXXX. When I check for updates in the phone settings, I get a "your phone is up to date". If I use the Nokia Software Updater tool, it says the same.
On the other hand, I bought my phone debranded and unlocked, not "linked" to any provider. So, I'll never get an update via network provider.
Now my question is: where can I find and download the latest firmware for the phone, and how can I flash it?
Phoenix Service Software asks me for a dongle, that I have not. Nokia SU for Retail doesn't give me the latest ROM. Which is the appropriate software for flashing a Nokia Lumia, then?
Thanks in advance.
no new update because not officially released to OTA update...
be patient or read forum... is too many posts on forum about this... you must use NCS or Nokia Care Suite (not latest version), and download and flash firmware via Product Support Tool for Store 5.0 in NCS
NCS download
After Nokia Suite installs, copy and replace the usergroupsconfiguration.cfg file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if you’re running a 64-bit version of Windows. Or C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if on 32-bit.
1. Open Nokia Suite. And select ‘Product Support Tool For Store 5.0′
2. When prompted, select ‘CareSuite External’ then hit ‘Sign-in’ button.
3. From the Menu, select Tools, then ‘Firmware Download’
4. Now enter the product code of your device, hit ‘Check Online’ button, to check the latest firmware version of your product code.
5. Then ‘tick’ ‘Optional Content Files and ‘Download’ to save your firmware.
6. Wait a few minutes for your files to download
7. You may now manually flash your Nokia device with the firmware you just downloaded.
- Your firmware should be stored in the C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products folder of your hard drive.

Thank you. I already downloaded and installed NCS, and followed those steps, but I didn't get the prompt for signing in. Perhaps because I downloaded the latest version (2012.50)? To which version should I downgrade? There are a bunch of them.
In any case, the sad part of it is... NCS says that my device (Lumia 925) is not supported. When I plug in my other Nokia (RM-675), it's supported, which means that my NCS installation is working. Then, why the Lumia 925 shows as not supported? Am I doing something wrong, or it's simply and really not supported by the software?

yyou must use old version, dont use latest or upgrade old....
Ok, I finally got it working. Just downloaded the very latest version of NCS and replaced the edited file. Phone supported.
As to the versions, I finally managed to decypher the soup of codes and versions. I'll post separately, just in case someone wonders.

Unlock Samsung Ativ S

Hello, I would like to do this unlock on my Ativ S.
Now I'm in the following condition:
Software: Windows Phone8
OS Version: 8.0.10327.77
Firmware revision number: 2424.13.5.1
Number Hardware Revision: 15:15:10
Radio software version: 2424.13.5.1
Radio hardware version: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader Version: 13.04.19.21
Processor SOC Version: 1.5.32
How should I preocedere order to unlock it?
thanks
You don't specify any particular unlock you want to do, so I'm going to assume interop-unlock + capability unlock. If that's not right, try actually saying which one you mean instead of using a pronoun (this) without any antecedent.
Your phone is slightly out of date (GDR2) but that may actually be a good thing anyhow.
First, dev-unlock. You will need the Windows Phone Development Registration tool, which is included in the WP8 SDK, which is available free from Microsoft.
Then, install the Interop Unlock Helper app (there is a link to it in my signature, if for some reason your search is broken...) using the Application Deployment tool (also installed with the SDK).
Run the helper app and follow its instructions...
Thanks for the reply, so the first thing to do is to install Win8 on my notebook (I have Win7)
After installing Win8 with its SDK, can I ask for help on the procedure yet?
There's a modified version of the WP8 SDK that runs on Win7. The emulator doesn't work (it requires Hyper-V, which Win7 doesn't have) but otherwise works fine.
I really told you pretty much the entire procedure. The helper app will guide you though the rest step-by-step; you just need to get as far as installing it.
Thank you, I have sought guidance on the matter.
Would this procedure?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422751
Can you give me an OK before beginning to drain in the SDK?
You can use Arnold Vink's MiniSDK instead of downloading the whole iso. You can find it in the stickied FAQ. Its actually starting to be pretty comprehensive, covering almost every little subject along the way.
I installed the SDK8 on win7.
Now what should I do?
Where can I find the files Interop Unlock Helper app?
It would be this: EnableAllSideloading_Release_ARM.xap
Thanks
... did you even *TRY* reading the guide linked in my signature? There's a step-by-step in there of which apps to install (with links!) at what times...

I have read the guide but I have not found the link to the helper
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435697
Searching on google I found this which I think is fine too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434884
... that second link you posted is included in the first link (under "Guide for Samsung's ATIV phones"), along with a direct link to the .XAP as well. But hey, you managed to find it eventually (through the mechanism that you should have used in the first place). I guess I should have specified "there's a link that contains a link to the XAP in my signature" but I figured you'd be able to get there yourself.
Yes, because I took the file (Interop Unlock Helper app)
Do you think I should first upgrade to GDR3 and then proceed with the interop unlock or better to do it in a situation where I am (GDR2)?
... I'm trying to decide whether I should stop spoon-feeding you answers or just go on and hope eventually you'll run out of them.
There are a bunch of forum threads about GDR3 and interop-unlock. Short version: installing the Samsung update that comes with retail GDR3 will prevent interop-unlock. There are ways around it, which you should read up on as well because, while it doesn't re-lock your phone, it *does* make interop-unlock much less useful too.
I followed the steps and I completed the interop unlock but when I try to install the xap BootstrapSamsung app:
Status Error: 0x81030120
I have not updated in the GDR, are in the same terms as the POST1
How can I fix?
Thanks
You either didn't actually interop-unlock at all, or you didn't do the part of the process that prevents re-locking. That error code means you are still interop-locked. You need to change several registry values, not just one. This is in the helper app, unless you're running a *very* old version.
They are divided by 0 and I was able to complete the procedure!
I tried to install xap files but I get this error:
"Error - Deployment Optimization failed with error "Unable to read input file". Please Ensure that input XAP is not optimized for device already".
Xap from Market ?
Try this video. It is german, but you'll know what to do.

[Q] Is there anyway to update Huawei Acend W1 -u34 To the latest update?

Just a quick question. I've been looking around the internet for this. I just recently recieved a Huawei Acend W1 from Wind Mobile (canada) and the phone is a U-34, and not the usual u00.
The latest I can normally update my phone is 8.0.10211.204, and I was wondering whether there was anyway to update this to it's latest and third update. Is this just a problem for Canada and huawei not supporting the updates? My only problem is that I'm not sure if I'll EVER get the update here, as tbh I don't mind waiting.
Thanks for all and any help,
Edit: I just found this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51656759&postcount=28 and I'm thinking of trying it. Does anyone know if anyone has tried it?

you can try upgrade via Preview for Developers (preview for developers now upgrade to 8.1)
go to http://apps.windowsstore.com/default.htm and sign in with your Live (Microsoft) account which you use on phone. check mailbox on phone and install cert from mail you received from AppStudio
go to Store and install http://windowsphone.com/s?appId=178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96. Run after install and activate it.... go to settings - check for update
The problem with that is that my phone is currently at the First update, so even though I have the developer preview downloaded, I can't open it as I need my phone to be at the latest OS.
All I am trying to do or want to do at this point is get my phone from G1 to G2.
I tried both of the guides above, and one gave me a handshake error, and the other a cookie error. Does anyone have any advice, maybe something I'm missing, that might help?
Thanks,
Using that same guide you used (http://forums.wpcentral.com/huawei-ascend-w1/229445-those-who-get-their-w1-market-locked-china.html), try flashing this rom: http://www.mediafire.com/download/l...030.5614.46900.20900_USA-Channel.05011TTC.zip. Supposedly it's a GDR2 ROM but I'm unable to test it because I don't have a u34 version of the phone. One thing to note is when following the guide, run all the qpst applications in administrator mode. You need to be running Windows Vista or above. Also, running it on a virtual machine will not work.
Thanks for the reply, I'll try this when I get home tonight. I've heard that a 32 bit windows 7 is the best OS to try it on. I have a W8 64 bit, do you know if that really makes a difference?

For me it does not work on windows 8.1 64bit, on the other hand it works perfect on windows 7 32 bit. But Microsoft has pulled out the latest update on the W1. They are working on it but so far I am still waiting for the update on the W1. You can follow the status of the updates on the following link : http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...d-b6a2-fa6df0ba7c58?page=118&tm=1399777042881
There was a chinese forum that used a trick to get update by tricking the w1 by changing it in registry to a nokia device but I can't find the link anymore.
Tbh I'm perfectly fine waiting a couple weeks, but to get to that point I need to get to GSR2, as I'm still stuck with 1 atm. Didn't get a chance to try it last night, but I should be able to find a w7 32 bit pc to test it on.
Thanks for the reply and link to that thread.

Use thor2.exe to install Windows 10 TP?

There are a lot of people having trouble getting Windows 10 builds to run, even on supported phones. I am one. Last weekend I spent hours attempting every way I could to get the latest build on my Lumia Icon. I'm pretty sure my device has some issues, maybe some bad NAND or flakey RAM or something, because I get all sorts of different outcomes.
Needless to say, the one thing that always works is the Recovery Tool.
So, here's my question. Does anyone have the latest Windows 10 image available for download so that I could use the Recovery Tool to push that image instead of the 8.1 image? A quick review of the Thor2.exe program and how to use it would be awesome for this thread also.
Cheers!
-Nate
The lack of replies must mean I'm not asking the right questions here. Did some more digging and self-educating, maybe this is the right one?
Are the Windows 10 builds showing up in NaviFirm Plus? I've found the threads on how to flash a build once you find it, I guess all I'm looking for now is the .FFU.
Cheers!
