Will there be support for other processors such as AMD CPU's/APU's? - Remix OS Player

Just wondering if there will be support for AMD processors in the near future?
Has anyone had any success with an AMD CPU/APU?

Well...short answer....no.
It use Intel dev tools for android.
And amd does not build android devices unlike Intel.
They need to switch to virtualbox like other emulators.
But it will have slower video support.

To add to what @tailslol said, Android Studio (which is what Remix OS Player is based on) requires HAXM to run. AMD doesn't support HAXM. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

interesting quote about some devices with qualcom..

On the featured demo you will see the Android OS running on a reference device based on the Qualcomm MSM7200 with a 300Mhz processor.
The chipset is gaining popularity with PocketPC manufacturers - it was also in the root of the HTC user upheaval for some reportedly missing video drivers. The Android OS however benefits from the Qualcomm integrated 2D/3D accelerator in a way that the disgruntled HTC users could only wish for - it's playing a Quake demo at 30 fps.
it would be possible to ripp off the drivers from the new devices and somehow put them on htc's that lack such drivers?
Isn't android linux based?
Yes; I doubt such portability of drivers is feasible.

Andriod only support ARM CUP?

I just confuse, android only could run in ARM CPU ? do android cun in intel CPU ?
If no, I think that is why Google said android is not suitable for PAD
No, there is code for at least an x86-version of Android too. So yes, it can run on Intel and AMD processors (not some of Intel's server-specific processors though). All current Android phones use ARM CPUs though.

intel or mtk

One simple question: Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 or intel atom Z2520 1,2ghz ??
Hi LenAsh,
one simple answer: YES!
Or in other words...since you posted your question in a device-specific forum (ASUS MeMO Pad 7 ) I /think/ you wants to
ask: "Does the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 have a Intel or Mediathek processor?"...or do you want to know:
"What is better: Mediathek or Intel?"
Or...
What to prefer is mostly based on the answer to the question: What do you want to do with it?
I wanted my ASUS MeMO Pad 7 ME176CX for two reason: Processing power (this is NOT necessarily graphics
or gaming power, it is more the ability for quick number crunching) and the ease of compiling code for
it (C) I choose the device with the Intel Atom Z3745 Quad Core (1.86 GHz peak), whihc runs x64 code natively,
so any PC based Linux distro could be run on it (I even heard of successful boots of Windows ).
Mediathek is relatively unknown.
I am no gamer in the pure sense of this word, so I cannot comment on this aspect of your question.
If you want a more specific answer please ask a more specific question.
Best regards,
tuxic

why remix os player is not supporting AMD chipset?

when remix os will support AMD chipset?
Maybe they're bought by Intel. Can't imagine/remember any software on this planet not functioning on only one of those two without the interference of the programmer.
Yeah, I wanted to try it today and was super dissapointed because it doesnt work on my PC. Im wondering if they will add AMD support in the future.
I am also a little put off by this. Does not make much sense to support only one chipset... especially when you are cutting out a major chunk of the market
AFAIK The player requires Intel HAXM because it is based on the Android SDK emulator, which also requires HAXM.

why my desktop with intel pentium loads android studio faster than my laptop with i5

My question is about android studio's performance under different processors.
I tried to run the same version of the android studio on
1)intel pentium 3 4gb (windows 7 )and
2)intel core i5 7th gen 8gb (windows 10)
And surprisingly I found that the starting time in the pentium pc was faster than the i5 one!!
can anyone please explain the reason or possibly help me out with anything that I have been doing wrong in my i5 laptop? Is there any settings issue that is causing the i5 laptop to give android studio a slower studio?? What should I do to optimize the i5 laptop's android studio??
Check your RAM speed and Hard Drive speeds. They're likely have a large effect on the load time. Also, the processor variants in laptops are often low-power versions with only dual-cores and fairly low lock speed. the i5/i7 labels are just branding and don't actually give a great idea of the performance, especially on laptop processors.
