So weird that it updated without intervention, was starting to suspect I'd been Mr. Roboted or something. I never set stuff to auto update.......
Thanks for the info.

Maybe mine did. Was fumbling to get on charger late night. Probably just a simple prompt missed.

This was quite a big update. Mine needed ca. 1/2 hour to update with several restarts and I needed to reset to factory and configure watch again resulting in 50% battery-loss.

So, I have a new watch (that I haven't opened, yet), and I'm thinking that I should just wait for Android Wear 2.0 to come out before my first usage, rather than install an update now, and another big update in a couple of weeks.
What do you all think?

Well as far as I know its never been confirmed our watch (original urbane) will get 2.0 I don't know they have made a statement either way actuallu. Now if you have the lte urbane yes you will get 2.0 but waiting seems silly either way. You spend all that money on a watch why not use it?

Yeah not really understanding the thought process on that. You've bought it. Just use it and enjoy it. Android wear 2.0 will be a nice chance if we get it, but there is nothing wrong with the current software.

on spanish lg urbane site it states that this watch has 2.0
as a physical button is a requirement (which the urbane has) it's very likely to get 2.0 while seeing they are putting out a good job delivering security patches.

I've read numerous sources saying the Urbane will get Wear 2. And given that it's LG's last generation of smartwatch behind only the Urbane 2nd edition, and that it fulfils all hardware requirements to get the update, it really wouldn't speak well of LG's support for their hardware if they refuse to give it the update. And strictly speaking, the Watch R should also get it given that the only difference between it and the Urbane is visual, but as that is two generations back it's perhaps expecting a little too much.
I for one will be p****d if LG leave the Urbane behind with this update.

I've always been of the mind that people are more likely to post to complain than otherwise. You rarely see, "hey, this is great!" .. I think it is often assumed that posting those kinds of comments add nothing to the discussion, so people don't do it...

Agreed. I see what you did there.
If it turns out to be true and even if they they just push it to those who oped in for soak test and whatnot and not a full out release in the next few weeks i am happy with Lenovo and this phone. I love what Lenovo did with the phone. I said updates will make or break it and i was scared about that when they said they could not commit to the security patches. But were getting those patches and have a word on the update so far so good. Hope they keep it up. This is the best phone out all around.
I'll still believe it when I see it. Moto has really been sucking badly on updates the last few years.

I agree 100% the funny part is I decided I needed a non samsung device as soon as I saw that lil wayne commercial that had him dumping champagne on the phone. I told coworkers that wanted the Note 7 prior to the release to get this phone instead because Samsung spent far too much for lil wayne for proper research and development, they all made fun of me...until the note started exploding.

Off topic but the issue is simple with the Note 7. I checked this my self. But its not cheap for them and the "Fixed" ones were not fixed and there was no way for them to fix it.
Simple version. The IC samsung chosen to handle the monitoring of the voltage for the battery was the cheapest they could find. That being said they can be way off in terms of calibration. The note 7 i had charged my battery to 4.9v. Phone would read 4.405v but a fluke on the batt reads 4.921v. And that is dangerous. So for all i know they could be charging to 5+ volts and no wounder they are bursting into flames. Issue has nothing to do with the battery and changing it wont do a thing. Its an issue with the ic on the board. And the IC has been used in other things that handle li-ion and li-po related charging and also caused problems on them.
Back on topic.
So we get 7.0 before the end of the year. Im guessing November. So far so good on the updates. But im wondering if they are going 7.0 or just going to jump to 7.1. Chances are no 7.1 that fast but so far the updates have been good. And the moto mod updates have been amazing. I would like to see 7.0 by Nov. 17th. But we prob wont see the roll out start until the end of Nov.

Not that I'm aware of. I've done plenty of soak tests for previous Moto devices and I got invites for soak tests for the camera and projector (which I don't have either), but I never got one for the phone. The update just popped up for me last night.
So far the only Nougat issues I'm having is the fact that my Ambient Moto Display no longer works. Slightly annoying, but it could be worse.

Great that means it's a general release!
Do a hard reset, it's always recommended to do a hard reset after a major update for optimal performance and user experience.
Strike my last statement. I just got it working. I need up just clearing the data for the Moto app and set it up again. Moto Display seems to work perfectly fine now.

Who got the Android Wear 2.0 update

Hi,
just wanted to know if anyone got the Android Wear 2.0 update for his Zenwatch 3 already, as we donĀ“t have an exact timeframe from Asus.
All I know is that Google released the software for existing devices to manufacturers on 15 February.
This will need to be tested by individual companies before it is sent as an over-the-air update.
So if anyone got the update already please let us know...
:good:
I would have thought that we should get this quickly, as Asus had planned on releasing the watch with 2.0 originally.
Unfortunately nothing with Android happens quickly.

But aw 2.0 changed quite a bit since then. As well I am thinking since Google showcased two new watches with 2.0 they are probably not going to allow the final version to go out right away. I am also thinking mid March

Seems a bit like unfair competition to me, especially since Google KNEW that Asus planned on this watch being a 2.0 watch. I would guess we will see it around the first week of March, hopefully anyway.
Seems like we have to wait until late spring/early summer:

Ridiculous, considering that it was meant to ship with AW2.0
I bet other companies are way faster here.

This is Twitter ASUS North America. My knowledge is, that north america is quite late when it comes to Updates from Android Wear. So maybe we are lucky and we get it earlier.
Hope dies at last :good: :fingers-crossed:
Maybe other region get it earlier than US.
Don't give your hopes guys.
Never regret getting this so beautiful and attractive watch while being light, compact size and very comfortable wearing it since all other alternative is either bulkier, heavier and uglier LG/Huawei new smartwatch announced on February or limited support with Tizen OS gear s3 with a lot of compromises on other device except Samsung one and very poor app store support.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I don't see what the big deal is about 2.0. My ZW3 is working perfectly fine, and it's the nicest looking AW watch to date. I don't really see what the game changer is with 2.0 for this watch. It doesn't have NFC and doesn't have a rotating crown, so what's the rush? I'm not trying to be snarky, I just genuinely don't understand.

I agree with most of what you said, but it could be a little more snappy (other watches with the same chip are) and battery life could be better. I think, asus developed on base of 2.0, but Google stopped it so they had to switch "quick and dirty" to 1.5. At least that's my feeling with the watch. After that Google changed a lot and they have to adapt a lot now...

I give +1 point but with the exception of lacking NFC and no any benefit from Android pay + no rotating crown witch is LG Watch specific feature and not Android Wear 2.0 we will be benefit in improvements on other aspects Android Wear 2.0 is bringing.
Here's all new feature and improvements Wear 2.0 is bringing.
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/new-prod...lease-date-new-features-upgrade-list-3640616/
That doesn't mean that I'm in a rush of getting it right away and if not it's the end of the world right??
But on the other hand when buying any kind product we all expect support from the manufacturer and that every OEM should offer with feature update with improvements and new features too.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm looking forward to the software improvements coming from 2.0. I'm just confused by all of the people saying they're returning the watch and buying an S3 or what have you. All because of the delay in getting 2.0 until Q2. That just seems odd to me since the watch is still really nice even without 2.0.

Not really, the complaint level of AW2 is so high, of laggy performance, we may be having a favor done for us as tuning is being done before we get. There was an update for earlier released watches this last day which is getting positive feedback. So that is making me think we'll get it very soon now, I think tomorrow.

I downloaded and saved the most recent AW1.5 and AW2 DP. I tried AW2 DP and it was awful, so went back to AW1.5 which I saved in case when AW2 officially released it is still awful.
We're being done a favor getting AW2 late but now I see happy noises on the June release, I'm seeing less reason to wait. But if there is a reason its no bad thing. The only thing I can't do is Android Pay.
If anyone does have the time to try AW2 then by all means flash DP and realize its a totally different everything interface, as I've been on AW now >2 years I find it awkward interface, noobs would take less retraining.
Someone likely has the googleapis link, I just have the file locally backedup.
Android Wear 2.0 fow the W200* is finaly here (well via OTA in Korea... For us via adb sideload )
Here it is the file: http://android.googleapis.com/packa.../af88cfbc96ad65e7b728e27c2decbdc6fb0e08e8.zip

Sweet . Very cool , are you a US model though ? And did you use an OTA update or use PC with unlocked bootloader to flash it ?

Yes I have the AT&T model, W200A. I used the minimal adb and fastboot tool to sideload the zip file from my PC. I didn't have to unlock the bootloader.
i updated my w200a today with the korea version. however it felt more like another preview than a final release. Lag is present like on the preview, overheats somewhat easily and the battery drains way faster when you are using it than when you are on 1.5. At least this is my case on the w200a. I did a fsctory reset to see if that solved but no. Same result.
I have the at&t urbane 2 LTE (unlocked)
Until today I was running developer preview (nemo-nvf41u-factory-e269c504)
I had an update come through which has given me:
build number NXH20E
(ANDROID WEAR 2.0.0.159006699)
with security patch 1st May 2017.
The top and bottom buttons are working (re programmed through the options)
Android pay works.

I'm in the US and I updated using ADB and the file captured from the ota in Korea and these numbers match exactly to mine.
Found any bugs/issues yet? I've had an occasional lag or two. Android Pay is working and I've successfully tracked runs with GPS using ghostracer paired to the phone through cell data (my main usage requirement).
Not found any bugs on mine.
I have a few side loaded apps that may have been causing the odd glitch now and again whilst on the developer preview, but nothing since the update.
(Side loaded es file explorer so I could use MP3 ringtone on the watch & Google drive to download / upload)
I'm in the US with ATT version. Just got OTA last night. So far so good.

Since decryption and debloating it's a very fast phone. Will keep it a while.
The only disadvantage is the round back. On table/desk, input is not easy when the phone is spinning.

The only disadvantage imho is the soon no longer software support, but I don't really know what it really involves as security patches are not quite safer. (critical breaches will always be updated as XP was with wannacry)

Never had a problem with the round back. Using a case and always lay it on table on its front, since the case is closed no problm with scratches on the screen.
Phone is debloated too. But even without debloating it runs fine and for me fast enough.
Think it is usually about the 5 or 6 th of month released if any.

An update on the new version, my first attempt at flashing N6F27H from the Factory Image (not OTA) ended up with the CPU running at 100% nearly all of the time with no Deep Sleep seen. I just reflashed the Factory Image for N6F27H again and I'll update whether the results are the same or better this time.

H87210h ota fail!

Today I decided to snoop around and flex my knowledge on these companies. I spoke with several TMobile representatives and LG representatives. It was like pulling Alligator teeth, but I finally got the answer I wanted.
"The G6 H87210h update was pulled from OTA due to complications."
What complications?
"In some cases, the update would download and install incorrectly and cause handsets to cease functioning properly."
Basically the OTA was killing phones and bootlooping....
"LG advises users to patiently wait for the next OTA to be pushed. If users cannot wait patiently for the next update they are welcomed and encouraged to use LG Bridge to update their H872 devices to H87210h firmware."
This took me more than 4hrs to get from my personal interrogation from both TMobile and LG.
Also, I have a pretty good assumption that a soon coming update for our device (h872) will be 7.1.1, could be wrong but I'm almost positive.
I tried the lg bridge and it says it couldn't detect my software version
I updated mine using LG bridge 3 days ago. Be warned it took over 2 hours to complete.

Its a serious pain in the arse for sure!
But I'm just waiting for the next update. LG said before launch that the G6 would get 7.1.x and now the Q6 is launching with 7.1.1, so it seems like they may actually give us a better update. Who knows when though?
I'm also hoping my G4 sees Nougat soon as well like they promised. .
I really just want newer security updates since my G6 has March security patch and my G4 (in stock form) has April patch. But I'm running LineageOS on the G4 so it has July Security patch and 7.1.2.
I really just want TWRP & Root for the G6 so I can debloat and enjoy my phone more with ad blocking and little mods like better Bootanimation and various tweaks, maybe a new kernel.. LOL

No, it's just dumb.
Keep your screen on until it recognizes it.
USB debugging on, maybe.
While plugged in, tap the usb notification and change it to different things. Restart LG bridge on the PC..
*To fully stop LG Bridge on your pc you need to end it in task manager. (Ctrl + Alt + Del)

Any difference overall?
I think there's still no fastboot commands?
I'm pretty sure a new update will come out soon.

Cant tell yet after i get 24 hours i will let you know
Hey all, I'm interested in getting a T-Mobile branded G6 but curious what security update it's on? Also, on 7.1? I had an unlocked one from Amazon and it was stuck on March security update. And that was at the end of June! Hoping the carrier models are doing a little better. Thanks in advance
What is new in this update? I keep seeing all this stuff about everyone trying to update and I just want to know if it's really worth my time.
Standby battery life seems slightly improved. Other than that, April 1st security patch is the only other difference that I can tell.
