CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit their Gerrit Code Review.

You were able to boot the device? What are the changes you made to the device tree? If possible can you share your code? And which ROM did you build?

I did not do anything at all! I flashed the Marshmallow stock rom months before and yesterday the phone just freezed while i was playing a game. The it restarted itself and got the bootloop... Neither the recovery or the Qualcomm service menu can boot. I tried the QFIL unbrick method by flashing all the stock roms i could find but nothing changed.

Yeah, I am able to get the logcat and dmesg. Pretty likely it's the kernel or dt causing issues.

If you are referring to Xiaobai's CM builds, they aren't for the x3_row.
There are a number of reasons why it wouldn't work well.
One thing I haven't really tried (primarily because there is no reason it would help; my device tree is written from scratch for the x3_row), is flashing the Chinese stock before flashing my builds.
I have uploaded a newer build(not booting yet). So, if anyone can test out flashing over Chinese stock and report, it will be great.
EDIT: Tried swapping the boot image with Xiaobai's builds, device booted fine, most of the things were broken though (not so surprising). Things were very much the same as they were when I had built using Xiaobai's tree the very first time. Yet to test flashing over Chinese stock firmware.

Was on S217.
Tried flashing over CN, same results.

@arpit_nnd, you tried using the stock kernel? That should at least bootup if I am correct, just made a assumption as xiaobai uses stock kernel as well.

Why another build of CyanogenMod 12.1?
Completely new repos made from scratch.
Lollipop kernel from V500-30A sources.
Lollipop blobs from palman 5.1 and V500-30B.
To be used with kitkat bootloader (check post 3).
Camera works for all models (ov5693 included).
Autobrightness values corrected, improved gamma and backlight, ...
Power profiles enabled, BFQ I/O scheduler set as default, F2FS support (cache & data), ...
Control vibration intensity, 'knock on' works anywhere on the screen (not just the center), ...
And many other small improvements.
Install instructions:
Reboot into recovery (official TWRP recommended).
Wipe Data, System and Cache if it's a fresh install.
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache if you're updating from a previous build of CM 12.1.
Flash ROM and Gapps.
Reboot.

Known bugs
IR Blaster doesn't work.
* If you want to report any other bug, please explain how to reproduce it and attach a logcat and dmesg (you can use this app). Please, do not report bugs if you use a kernel from a different thread.
Bootloader
This rom is meant to be used with kitkat bootloader. If you are unsure of what bootloader you are using, you should flash the following zip within recovery (official TWRP recommended):
V50020D Bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952613675
* Some stock based roms in this forum flash bootloader files without the user being aware of it. So just to be safe, I recommend everybody to flash the above zip to make sure that you are using all the correct bootloader files.
Thanks for creating this! Finally there is a CM12.1 solution for v500 devices that use the other camera module. I am able to dirty flash this ROM on top of the latest official nightly cm12.1 build without any problems.
Thanks for this one, sounds awesome, flash time

Of course, you can extract it or even better, build from source. But it's possible that you need some extra changes in the device repo.
Thanks for your reply. I'm not an expert to extract kernel. Can you extract this please? If you can. Tanks a lot.

If you think that will fix camera for all available roms, that's not how it works. Kernel aside, you need new blobs (vendor files) and changes in the device repo (sepolicy rules, ramdisk, ...) to fix camera. I publish all my repos so everybody can see them, and other devs can either use them to build their roms or try to "extract" the changes for camera to fix it in their builds. But I cannot do much more than I already did publishing my sources and this rom...
New build released
With the following changes:
- Set lcd brightness to default value during first boot.
- Kernel updated to latest caf tag for our soc.
- Fix vidc firmware error.
I will keep publishing new builds of this rom whenever there are significant changes in CyanogenMod's or my repos.
really awesome build, i can even push apps to sd, for some reason this never worked for me on default cm
it even feels smoother
Thanks for your work. I"ll notify arcee to take a look on your sources maybe they can be used officially.

works fine for me, but I'm pretty sure i've read something similar yesterday on the official cm12.1 thread,
the "solution" seemed to flash the rom another time.
Thank you for this ROM! Smooth and stable! Still getting the external sdcard bad removals when device sleeps, but thats the only issue i have found. Thanks!
This is just a perfect build!
No issues. Even my BT/Wi-Fi disconnect issues are addressed.
Thanks a lot!!!!

I had the same problem - multiple rebooting and re-flashing the rom didn't help. I finally fixed it by flashing the latest official nightly CM12.1 rom (which immediately fixed the rotation problem), and then flash back this rom.
BTW I came straight from stock 4.4.2. Never flashed anything before. Not sure if this had to do with the rotation problem.
New build released
...with working HDMI and improved gamma. I think I also solved the issue some users are having with auto-rotation, but since I cannot reproduce the bug I cannot confirm whether it's fixed or not.

About NLOS
NLOS is an unofficial LineageOS build with many additional features, originally created by @nvertigo67. I have built it for the Essential Phone, so keep any questions or concerns to me, and don't direct them at him, as he's got nothing to do with this port and probably doesn't want to be bothered with problems he can't solve.
Extra Features
Signature spoofing
Custom kernel based on @return.of.octobot's awesome neutrino kernel
Wireguard support
KCAL
Additional CPU governors and I/O Schedulers
Signature spoofing for microG
One handed mode
March security patch
Pixel boot animation
Pixel GApps included
Other stuff I'm forgetting
Issues
I'm not sure yet. Let me know.
Instructions
Flash like any other ROM. Boot temporary TWRP, wipe data, cache, dalvik, flash the ROM, flash the TWRP installer
(optional) reboot to recovery, flash Magisk, nanodroid, addonsu

He's probably talking about the issue I had: no touch in the main rom. TWRP in my case worked flawlessly, but upon rebooting into the rom to set it up, well, it was unusable as touch support wasn't functional.
I'll probably throw this on my phone again temporarily later to try and get logs. My gut says it's something to do with HALs.

Logs would be incredibly appreciated, if possible. Unfortunately, Lineage no longer ships userdebug builds with ADB enabled by default for some odd reason. I made the changes to fix that, but they won't be in effect until next build. So if you have another method of input, like a usb mouse, that's the only way I know of for now.

Yeah, adb off by default negates any ability to get logs when the touchscreen is non-functional. Was an idea, though!

It is working on some pie ROMs. For example on havoc 2.9 it is working fine. And also it is working all miui ROMs. Maybe for Android 10 ROMs you need Android 10 firmware. But I think it will be released tomorrow by Xiaomi eu team. Thanks.
thanks a lot..been waiting for this for so long.
rom is very smooth, bitgapps works fine, magisk works, viper works
though its a first build, still a few notes-
- battery percentage and styles doesnt work
- network indicator in the middle cut by notch
- expanded desktop option is not accessible.
thanks
First of all thank you for your work.
I'm facing an error message on every reboot.
Also trebuchet stopped working message after changing the language and using full screen gestures.
Camera does not work (did not even try GCam as the rest of the ROM is so immature you have to roll back anyways)
GApps installation a nightmare
Whatsapp does not link with Google Account
Thx for picking up the work!!! Really apreciate it and hope it goes stable and eventually official.
Your source code link only does somehow not link your work on the rom. Can you add the device specific sources ( I guess it is https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender, https://github.com/daniml3/android_vendor_xiaomi_lavender) ?
Looking at the fork history am I thus right to assume that this ROM builds on and tracks the recent developments on PE ROM?

That's not happening to anyone, make sure it was a clean installation, and you met the firmware requeriments.

The base of the trees are taken from PE yes
OTA update from 1/2 version to 1/3 version caused boot loop. The phone kept going to recovery. Clearing caches did not help.
I do have magisk installed. Maybe that's the issue? Clean install of 1/3 version worked fine.

Thanks! will try with the next update. That also means that I cannot try to install from the OTA update feature because the phone boots up right after flashing the ROM update.

LineageOS is working on a fix so addon.d will work and there wont be the needed to reinstall GApps. A workaround for using OTA is disabling auto-reboot after OTA in recovery, or just when the phone auto reboots, press volume up button to boot again into recovery.
Does this ROM need Gapps to work or can it work with microg? I tried installing LOS 16 without Gapps and I was never able to get it to boot without Gapps.

Hi,
here you can find my preview build version of LineageOS 17.1 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
At first I want to thank @forkbomb444, @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot to bring this up.
This is a preview build, so don't install it if you want a stable rom and don't report my already listet bugs!
Because Android 11 is very similar, I will proceed here:
LineageOS 18.1
I'm working nearly every day on our N80xx devices, but my focus is still mainly on LineageOS 16.0, which runs already pretty good.
Here you can see how far everything is working for now.
Spoiler: Whats working
N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
Boots
Audio
Bluetooth
Graphics
Cameras
Sensors
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
OTA Updates
GPS
Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
consumerir transmitter
Stylus with gestures and hovering icon
Spoiler: Whats not working
Graphic / Video bugs
Deep sleep
Maybe more

If you are going to use Gapps,
I recommend to use the pico package!
https://opengapps.org/
For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.
Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.
donate
Spoiler: How to improve GPS
You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.
Spoiler: How to install it?

I see that LineageOS 17.1 folder is updated only for the N8010 version. I have a N8000 which is the 3G version. Could I use it anyway?

Because I only build it for N8010, yes you can test this version also on a N8000,
for sure you wont have RIL functioning.
To flash it, you have to change TWRP to N8010 version or modify the install script.

In the end i installed 16.0 . It is a perfect rom and gave a life to my tablet after years. I was trying to use it as a car display unit in my car and thanks to you this will work perfectly. If I see a bug I will right it here but so far it is very smooth. Can't say that this tablet is more than 7 years old. Thank you very much for your time and effort.
I install the Gapps via TWRP. But when the tablet starts and tries to setup the Google, it crushes before it finishes . I can come until to the screen where it asks to sync the tablet with my other devices. I say skip, it loads a bit and crashes . Any idea ?

Which Gapps did you install?
And did you installed them directly after the rom without any reboot?
I made a complete fresh installation yesterday and it worked without any problems.

You are right. I had installed gapps after the first reboot. I re-installed the rom and installed the gapps before the reboot, and now everything is working just fine. Thank you again.
Good Morning!
Once again I come to thank you for the excellent work on our device. I'm taking advantage of your post to find out if you know anything about Lineage 18 for our equipment ?, as a compilation dated 12/13/2020 appeared in Lineage Os Statistics.

This is my build, it's running with the android mainline kernel, so 5.10. There is still some issues and missing drivers, too early for an alpha release, but I'm getting there.

In theory this should work as the devices are basically the same from a hardware point of view and the original sources and defconfig have only little differences. It would definitely be interesting to know whether it works.
Unfortunately I havent seen any hardware reports on this device, could you download the following app and upload your report?
Device Info HW - Apps on Google Play
Hardware and software information app for Android devices.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Somehow it was my fault. I tried to get back to stock image with fastboot, and may be got something wrong with gsm module. I got back to stock image with MSMToll ( sadly works on windows only) and flashed again with the image from 20211203 - and mobile worked like a charm, then I've updated the LineageOS to the lastest image from 20211209, with encryption and SELinux enabled.
It works great!
Thank you!
