[Recovery]TWRP for Galaxy ON7 [SM-G600FY][Unofficial] - Samsung Galaxy On7 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Ot

Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Is this for 5.1.1 or 6.0.1? I tried on 6.0.1 and the phone is stuck on the first Samsung logo screen. it does not boot into the custom recovery.
EDIT
I tried on 5.1.1 too, but same result. Stuck on the first screen and does not boot into TWRP

Title says 900 - content says 600
Is this one is for Samsung On 7 ? I tried ODIN download mode - TWRP recovery image. after pull out battery and tried login with recovery mode - got boot loader image and error - Set Warranty Bit : recovery and nothing happens after that.
When I reboot, stock recovery is overwritting TWRP. Please help.
Also... include a not responsible note.. NOT is missing.
Thanks.

Is there a way to directly reboot in recovery mode from download mode...? When I reboot from download mode by pressing Volume UP + Volume Down + Power it starts in system boot which overwrites the twrp recovery by system default recovery.

Clock Work Mod Recovery v5.0.2.6 Flashable via Odin

Hello, Everyone!
This is the latest Clock Work Mod recovery version 5.0.2.6 for Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 smartphone. So, if you have got ace (I am sure you do.. LOL!) then, follow the steps carefully to flash this custom recovery on your device.
Thanks to koush (for this recovery ) and others!!!
Disclaimer : Do This At Your Own Risk
I shall not be held responsible for any damage incurred to your device.
Warning! I haven't tested if it works. Want to be the early tester? Go ahead. But, I am pretty sure it will work fine.
Requirements
Make sure you have GB 2.3 and above firmware.
Instructions
1. Download cwm-recovery-ace.tar.md5
2. Run Odin Multidownloader for Ace
3. Select One Package option at the top left.
4. Load Copper_v1.0.ops on OPS field.
5. Load cwm-recovery-ace.tar.md5 in one package field.
6. When everything is set... put your phone in download mode (Volume Down + Home + Power button) and then connect it.
7. When Odin says Detected then you are ready to press the start button.
8. Wait till the recovery it flashed and then after Odin says PASS (in top left box) you may disconnect your device.
9. Reboot to recovery mod (Home + Power button) and enjoy new recovery. You can now flash custom roms, do nandroid backups and many more.
Hope! Everything was clear...
Happy Flashing
You can also use this CWMManager.apk app for managing this recovery... Download here
P.S. Don't forget to say thanks if this thread post is useful...
Reserved.... For future use
Can anyone help me with some of the screenshots or images for this recovery? Thanks!
Nice ,
But why Odin ?
When it's possible to flash it via recovery mode which is much simple ,safe ,time consuming
So no need of Odin !

Ok! Got your points.... But, I thought some other might prefer using Odin rather than flashing via recovery. SO, I posted it.
Also, there is another reason, you guyz don't have clear cut instructions for CWM recovery for ace ... so it will be helpful for noobs out there.
thats great @@
will give it atry
This may help when the phone boots into download mode but fails to boot into recovery mode. After flashing this via ODIN in download mode, the recovery mode may start again. Thanks man

Yup... you got some points there. After you boot to recovery then you can restore your backup and bring your phone to original state. Cheers!
could become very important when you use without having to download the official rom rom manager, and so ....
good job!

I am sure it works since I didn't do much except making it flashable via Odin (from this one which was already flashable through CWM recovery) . You can install it from here :

Work perfect for me. Thks!
does this works when flashed directly from old recovery of stock GB?
oh man thanks you, I search for 1 hour how to change the recovery on the S5830D of my girlfriend, it had the 3E recovery which do a fail on any cwm zip I found. When I finnally found your tar file I had a BIG SMILE. It work flawless. thanks

[Recovery] and [Root] Galaxy Tab 3 Lite T110, CWM, TWRP, Philz Touch

End of support. Thread closed.
If you get stuck in recovery and can't boot into Android, you need to install the stock recovery to get Android to boot.
Stock recovery flashable zip located HERE.

Watch THIS VIDEO tutorial for a step by step visual guide for performing the instructions listed below (thanks @Tomsgt for the video).
Instructions:
1. Download ODIN on your computer.
2. Power off the device.
3. Restart in "Download Mode" by holding the "HOME" button, "Volume Down" and "Power" all at the same time (for about 5 seconds).
4. Hit the "Volume Up" to enter download mode.
5. Start the ODIN exe program. Un-check Auto Reboot. See notes about ODIN below.
6. Connect the device via USB to your computer. Verify the device shows as "Added" in the Message box. If it doesn't show then you need the Samsung USB drivers (just install KIES to get them). Also need to enable USB debugging.
7. Select "PDA" (or AP) then choose the recovery file you want to flash. (Unzip the file you downloaded so that you have a file named "recovery.tar.md5".)
8. Hit "START". Wait for Odin to finish (~10-15 seconds). The message area will display "RES OK" when finished.
9. Restart directly to recovery mode before rebooting into OS.(Hold POWER, Volume UP, and the HOME button all at the same time. When you see the Samsung Logo, let go of the POWER button, but keep holding the Volume UP and HOME until you see the recovery screen).
Notes about ODIN
--Make sure that "Re-Partition" is NOT checked.
--Auto Reboot can be un-checked if CWM doesn't flash correctly on your device. Some have reported that un-checking Auto Reboot fixes this issue. If you un-check Auto Reboot, you will need to reboot the device yourself (refer back to step 9).
After you get the custom recovery working, you can flash the latest SuperSu zip to get root.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watch this video to learn about the navigation issues and Rainbow Mode: http://youtu.be/iCNdxlNzdBI
If the highlight doesn't move on the recovery menu, the selection actually does change. Go ahead and hit Power to select. If the menu goes blank, just hit Volume Up or Down to get it to reappear.
It appears that the menu navigation issue only happens when you use the button combination to boot into recovery. If you use the Quick Boot app or "adb reboot recovery", it seems to work properly. Only use the 3-button method to boot into recovery.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flash at own risk!!!!

TWRP 2.7.0.1 (unofficial)
Click HERE to download the latest version.
I do not have a T110, so this recovery has not been tested by me. Please report if it works for you.
Same install instructions as above.
After installation, you may experience slow behavior in recovery if you use the button combination to boot into recovery. Using Quick Boot from the play store or any other software method to boot into recovery will solve this problem.
Internal card gets mounted as "/data/media/0".
Please report any issues here in this thread and be sure to include which recovery you are using.

If you already have root, you can extract the recovery.img from this zip and flash it without Odin by using Flashify from the Play Store.

[Q] Problem with flashing rom (samsung galaxy mini gt s5570)

Hello,
i am new to the forum and i registered in it in order to have a solution on my problem! I downloaded recenlty cyanogenmod for my mobile for your site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085347
Before i had android 2.3.3 in my phone! The problem is when i flash the rom i get this error: E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (Status 0)
I have searched the forum for previous similar threads and i followed many of them! However because i am not very expert in these kind of things i was confused in many points of them (for example one which explaned the root of the problem something has to do with the binary update and a script)..And i was not given detailed commands on solving the problem I formatted my sd card (after taking a backup on my pc) and only transfered after, the update for cyanogen mod 10.1 and the one for the google apps but the same problem occured. I desperately need your help because i cant practically use my mobile and i need it...
So please tell me what should i do.
Thank you in advance! Sorry for my bad english
(i also have rooted long time ago my phone)

i thins it is samsung recovery! the samsung logo in on the screen and up left:
RANDUMP Mode (ARM9mode)
If you want to flash custom ROMs, you must have custom recovery, like ClockWorkMod, RZ Recovery or TWRP.
You will need to flash it using Odin first, and then you can change recovery by just flashing packages. (You don't must change recovery after you flash from Odin.)

@Nekrofiili said rooting broke his camera and speaker, do you think it's because of wrong kernel?

Which method did you use? The process from the main post or the one posted by @ksa616 on flashing the kernel?

I just followed the instruction in the main post and no issue, no need to flash a different kernel
What version of stock ROM should already be installed for this Rooting instructions to work? I am currently using PDA J530FXWU2AQL4 and CSC J530FOJV2AQL1. Will this work?
Asking
This is work for Samsung J530Y?
Stuck in TWRP 3.2.1-0
Hello All
I followed this thread to root my J5PRO. But when I reboot the system, I get back to the TWRP project screen again and again.
What can I do to get my phone back to use? Could you assist ?
Many thanks

I experienced the same problem, so I had to re-install the stock firmware via Odin. Just look for the stock firmware on the internet (for your phone- mine is J530F), then download Odin and flash it. The process is straightforward and available on the internet, especially YouTube.
Good luck.
Problem with recovery, now Boot-loop
Followed the instructions
When I tried to backup the phone, the storage spaces were all 0MB.
Then obtained error:
' Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer'
Now phone is stuck on bootloop.
