Are Android One bootloaders unlocked already? - Android One (First-Generation) Cross-Device Genera

Hello everyone. I just wanted to know if Android One First-Gen phones have unlocked bootloaders cos I am going to root my QMobile A1 and install a recovery on it to flash a Nougat ROM later on. If it's locked then how can I unlock it? Thanks for helping!

T-Mobile XZ is locked bootloader so u cannot unlock it.
cause in standard method of xperia unlocking u should get unlocking code from sony but they won't send it to C6606
:good:

I have already a custom recovery (I think its like in OMAP devices like Moto Dx2 or Razr XT910-912), so my question is if I can flash customs roms and if every rom on developers section is compatible...
So u can first flash custom boot loader and then try custom kernel and rom
But it s better to ask rom developer that u wanna install it

What?
1. There is no such thing as a "custom boot loader" for the Z.
2. Custom kernels will not run on a locked bootloader. Flashing one via recovery will soft brick the device.
To answer the original question, you should be able to flash any stock based custom rom on the C6606. I'm not sure on how it will affect LTE, but I've seen quite a few people around the forums using custom roms on the C6606.

There is no way to root android 6 yet that doesnt require custom recovery (which needs either root or unlocked bootloader to install) or an unlocked bootloader. You would be better asking for help in the forums for your device as its more likely news of a bootloader unlock or root would be posted there than in SuperSU.

Please refrain from posting unnecessarily, it clogs up the threads and makes it harder to find what you need from the thread.

Root and Cyanogenmod

Hi all! I recently got a Huawei P9 vodafone branded (L09C02B123) and I am very happy with it. I wanted to ask if there is a safe unlock bootloader and root guide for this version or do I have to de-brand it? And if I wanted to unroot the device can I go back to the vodafone version as it first was? And since I don't like the MIUI software (the only downside) when will the CM 13 roll out to the device?
Thanks

Hi.
Please download the SRK Tool. It can do almost anything you need on your phone.
Wrt the custom ROM, you asked, unfortunately we only have one custom ROM and one slim ROM atm.
What i did was, root, debloat the ROM myself, flash a 3rd party launcher, and flash the L Speed app from Play store.

Thanks for the answer. Your method is smart but do you know when Cyanogenmod will be launched?

Cyanogen Mode is quite different from stock version of the p9 software or variants of it. Drivers would be a great issue in that way. Since the Kirin 955 processor is relatively new and not as common as Quallcom's Snapdragon, there would be a long long way to see a Cyanogenmod for our p9s.
However it is a job for ambition and determination. So, who knows maybe one of the great developers around will take a step forward
Hi guys again, I remember I am running the EVA-L09C02B123 which is a vodafone branded version. Can I root this version? I heard that you need to de-brand it first. Is it true?
You can root it without de-branding but you must unlock the bootloader first. That's going to trigger a factory reset, so back up your stuff.

International version - Should I flash official china ROM and relock the bootloader?

Hi all!
Loving my new device!
I bought it from Gearbest and it's the International version that came with an unlocked bootloader and the Official Global ROM installed (no idea how they unlocked the bootloader).
Just after I booted it for the first time I got the official update to MIUI 10 and everything went perfectly.
My question is: should I reflash the official China ROM and relock the bootloader just to be able to unlock it again on my own? What's the advantage of doing it since it's already unlocked and with an official ROM?
Is it safer? Can I be in trouble in the future if I don't do it?
Sorry for asking this basic question, but this is a new ecosystem for me.
Cheers!

What do you mean ?
It's the case for all ROMs and all phones
i mean instead of flashing an android rom, to flash a linux rom.
but when you say its the same trouble with bootloader unlocking, then its senseless
