[Q] Flash EVA-L19 Full Stock Rom on EVA-DL00 possible? - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi!
I would like to know about supported firmwares for the chinese dual sim 32 gb model. If cust will be configured to C432 using SRK Tool will it be possible to flash a full stock rom for the international dual sim 32 gb model (EVA-L19)?
The chinese and international models are not identical as i.e. the supported frequencies are different according to FrequencyCheck.com. In the country of use the missing frequencies of the EVA-DL00 are not used, so from this point of view it shouldn't be a limitation. Will there be problems flashing the L19 rom though or is it possible at all?
Thanks,
ag

I just debranded my phone from 64rom/4ram AL10 to L09C432. For now, I know that dual sim works and that my SIM card is detected and works. (Canadian SIM) The phone detects the good storage and ram capacity. It is most likely that it will support the frequencies of the DL00 that it had in your case with the ROM that you will flash because you're not changing the kernel. (BTW SRK Tool debrands to L09 by default, not that it matters... If you really want L19, You will have to manually find an L19 custom.bin and oeminfo)

In fact I had the L19 in mind as this is the most similar hardware to DL00 as international version. Mostly I was worried about the dual sim support, but as you say it works also debranding to L09 this shouldn't be a problem.
I'm confused by the choice of the rom though related to the roms from here. Thought the rom needs to be the one most similar to the hardware (for the china models: L29 rom for AL10 Dual SIM 4GB,64GB / L19 rom for DL00 Dual SIM 3GB,32GB / L09 rom for Al00 Single SIM 3GB,32GB+NFC - and whatever else for TL00 and CL00) and would also need to match the branded version. Is is not like this? Does only the branding need to fit the rom that can be flashed and the rest (specific functions) will be done by the kernel?

It doesn't need to match the original hardware. When you debrand, the new rom just has to match the debrand model id, everything else is done by the kernel.

Hi monoxian,
I use AL10, too. Now I'm going to debrand it for Europe Rom. Does it need to be rooted? I'm on Nougat, so is it possible to debrand?
Besides, does it have dual sim management in L09 ROM?
Thanks

I debranded mine to L09 with SRK ..

Difference in P8 lite models ??

Hi,
I've receveid a ALE-L02 model from Asia.
I'me living in France
And I see that you are always speaking about L21 or other model
What are the difference beetween thèses models ?
I have no NFC parameter on mine, and this is a big probleme cause I choose this phone for the NFC
I don't think Huawei made different hardware, then perhaps with a other ROM I could have the NFC ?
What about the différences, do you think I could put a L21 ROM in my model ??
Thanks
I believe they have the same hardware just using different bands. Based on the threads I read, they're able to use L21 ROMs on an L02. Just make sure your carrier supports the bands L21 is using. Don't forget to back up though.
OK, thanks for the post
I'm a newbie, and I will try to start flashing a L21 ROM

Converting EVA-AL10 from C00 to another Custom (C900,C433,C432)

Hello,
is there a way to get international rom on my AL10? I bought it because of 4GB/64GB instead of 3GB/32GB.. DualSim isn´t important for me.
But I want better support for german language and Google Playstore..
Since a UL00/10 from P8 could be converted to L09, is there something similar possible for AL10 P9 or at least another Custom? maybe C433? C432 wasn´t present for P8 chinese models, but C433.
I have AL10 too, do you have any luck on this?

VTR-L09 or VTR-L29 - newbie question

hello!
I hope its ok that I open a new thread.
I want to move from my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact to the Huawei P10. I found in german shops the VTR-L09 and L29. I don't know which one should I buy? I don't need a dual SIM phone. But which get faster FW updates or get faster custom roms?
I also want to root my phone, is there any difference between both phones?
And a stupid question, can I put a mirco SD in to the VTR-L29?
Thank you at all
The only difference is the unlocked dual sim feature.
For root there's no difference and the updates aren't connected to the phone version. How Huawei decides which phone will get an update seems to be magic.
You can also rebrand your phone from L09 to L29 and vice versa.
Get the phone which is cheaper, I think L09 in Germany.
I got an L09 from German provider 1&1 and rebranded to L29 for dual sim without any problems.
huawei p10 rebrand
Hello Janno,
Do you mean you could unlock dual sim fuctionality and use an l29 rom rebranding your phone?
Thnks!

And also, what's you personal view of the phone? Still happy? would you buy it again?
ps: did you follow this topic: link ?

what is the closest Chinese counterpart of European EVA-L19?

I wanna rebrand my friend's EVA-L19 (3GB RAM/32 GB memory/ dual SIM) with this tool https://forum.dc-unlocker.com/forum...cker-software/172136-dc-huawei-converter-beta in order to install Oreo on her P9? What is the counterpart of this type of P9 because that are many subtypes (single and dual SIM, various RAM amount, etc.) and do not wann brick her phome. I suspect that this type is EVA-DL00 but I am not certain and prefer to ask more experienced colleagues from the forum.

Just use HWOTA7 method with instructions from this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
and you will rebrand to the latest Oreo EVA-AL10 c00 b540, you have separate Network patches for L09, L19 and L29 to fully utilize your hardware and to get definitions for worldwide mobile operators (also debloating your phone, making GApps fully working, ready for Google app and for Location sharing if you wish - it is blocked in the plain stock Chinese Oreo).
You have also add-on for Face unlocking, instructions (with patched Ramdisk) for Magisk and strong community (it was, now people are moving to newer phones)
From the stock Oreo you can also go to Treble Open Kirin ROMs
