Thanks for the clarification. Whenever I hit download link on my mobile, Chrome browser goes into a refresh loop on zippyshare. It's weird but I probably should try downloading via PC.
Edit: Downloaded zip file via PC. Testing in progress. Thanks for the effort.

This modules creates and additional path to your sdcard, ( /mnt/media_rw ). Your normal path behaves still as before

Magisk manager shows it as a module so you can uninstall it from there.. Why would you though?

I do not understand how it works, everything works like before, Apps are installed in internal SD Card and data also in internal SD Card .

Oh well, it exposes a user accessible path under the mnt.
I love it cuz apps work so much faster when not using the weird new external storage permission thing.

So, do i have do copy all on External Card or internal card to this mnt point?

no no, it simply is used for allowing apps to access the external sd card without having to use the Document Storage provider. eg. Say you have your titanium backup files on your sd card, you can point to the mount point to access them instead of using the external storage handler or anything else.
Or you could save files on the ext sd card by pointing to the mount point.

This saved me from having to format as internal. I'm running RR5.8. Thank you for this

~moonscapex
wow this is a great idea!
Have you thought of putting the glossy themed build on it?
Didnt know there was one.
Could you post a link?
its on the hd thread. It actually works really nice and looks great. Just replace all the files except the zimage, rootfs , and modules.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624808:)
can this be dl'ed directly to windows phone ? or does it have to go to pc ?
Right now it requires a pc. Im working on a CAB.. And thx for posing the themed version link.
woah woah woah... your telling me your gonna put all the latest updates of xdandroid into one simple place, make the installing easier (which was pretty easy to do already), and it's for the diam500?!
epic. absolutely epic.
cheers to you all!
I'm about to flash this rom + xdandroid on my diamond and noticed that you mention that android "builds can be easily updated" and was wondering what you ment by that. Will all my apps/settings remain or is it just easy to install the newer versions
I downloaded the program. In the Destination Folder dialog, I was unable to select the HTC Internal Storage folder--in fact I could not see the HTC device in the Browes button-only my logical drives. I'm using windows 7 and I could see the device in Windows Explorer.

Connect your phone in the 'Disk Drive' mode not 'ActiveSync' and then you'll be able to see the drive. This just places all the files then onto the root of the internal storage
Thx for helping him.

Thanks for your help. I can now see the phone/drive, but not the Internal Storage folder/dirve... I see a set of folders including application data.
Where would I find how to get to the Internal Storage.

Sorry for being such a newbie... I just selected the root of the "Removable Drive." the files copied there. Now just tyring to figure out what the next step is...
I got it installed last night; very cool!
I note that in the text messages, I can only see the last message received. I can't see any of the previous messages to a contact that I received or ones that I sent. However, in the View All Messages, there is a number in "()" that seems to indicate the total number of messages associated with the contact--just can't figure out how to get to them.
The keyboard has me baffeled. How do I get to the gray numbers/symbols above the regular key letter?
Finally, some of the message and mail screen fonts are quite small. Is there a way to zoom the screen, like rotating the around the "button?"
Thanks for your work on this and your patience with me.

So yes that's the root folder so you have it all in the right place now all you have to do is run the 'haret.exe' this will start up android and the phone will take it from there (first boot will take a little bit). Also, personally, shutting off the wireless crashes my phone so if that happens to you just boot up android again skipping all of the initial setup steps.
I just installed this as well. It installed without a hitch. I'm migrating from the Touch and this seemed a little sluggish.

[GUIDE] Partitioning your SD Card to use swap and or lin2sd :)

There is probably a guide for this already, but if there is, it is deep, deep down
What we will need:
Some way to connect the SD Card to the PC (using the phone USB with storage mode on is fine)
Minitool partition wizard - http://partitionwizard.com - the home edition is fine for this.
The steps:
Connect the SD card to the computer
Launch minitool
{

}
Select your SD Card MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SELECT YOUR HARD DRIVE!
On the left, there will be an option to Resize the drive. Select this and resize as necessary (If you have a 6GB drive, and want a 1GB ext2, resize it to 5GB).
Do the same again for a swap partition.
Check the operations on the left bar, to make sure you are happy with them and click 'Apply'.
Wait for it to complete. DONE! Eject you sdcard, and put it back into your phone. You can now download an app like link2sd to use it, or use swap
NOTE: I am in no way responsible if your data goes missing!
NOTE2: Not all ROM's have swap support. Most (if not all) CM rom's now do, however, you may need the 07swapon script. Please check my post to get that

I think you or anyone could make a tutorial about how to build up a system (not a kernel, but just a e.g. cm7, cm9, aokp, aosp), in order to make our developer thread much more colorful. Just an idea...

So how is link2sd and clockwormod recovery backup?
When I have ext2/3/4 secondary partition and create backup, than do files and linked stuff go to sd-ext? After restore will there be working linking during boot? And what happens when the secondary partition is fat32?

When you backup with CWM, as long as the ROM you are using mounts the /sd-ext.
When the backup file is made, the sd-ext file contains all the symlinks, so yes, backups work (I have made it loads of times).

FolderMount - Link folders and app from internal to external SD Card

Redmi Note Move App to SD Solved (Noob Proof )
A s we know our Redmi note dont have feature to move apps to SD Card, dute to internal memory is in Emulator mode.
Why would we need this app?
1)Today some apps store big files over the internal SD card (e.g. Games, Podcasts, Offline RSS feeds, Pictures, Offline navigation software). Our Redmi note has only 5.5GB approx available for use an the problem is after installing 2-3 big games or apps , you cant install new apps.
Like traditional way you cant move data file (Obb file) to SD card in our Redmi Note and this a big limitation for a High config device like Redmi Note.
2)If you want to make long HD Vedio recording , your internal memory is not enough, this can also be solved by this method.
Requirement:-
1) Root Access.
2) Working Brain
Steps for the trick:-
1)Download FolderMount from playstore
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2)Open App you will see this
3)select + on the top you will get
4)Then put something in Name as i am mounting data folder of Skyforce , i named it as Skyforce.
now select Source it will ask you to locate folder in internal SD ,select that folder like in my case its /Android/obb/pl.idreams.skyforcehd
where pl.idreams.skyforcehd is data file folder for skyforce game.
Now press on tick mark on top , Now it will ask you to create destination folder automatically in external SD , Select Yes
5)FolderMount will offer to move the files to the destination. Click yes.
6) After file moving is compete , you can see new entry with your specified name in the app.
7)Now click on the pin on the right side of the name, it will turn Green, it means mounting is done.
Now run the app it will work like normal , your app data is moved to Exter nal SD Card
Note:- You might need to do step 7 if you reboot your mobile.

Hit Thanks if you liked my Post
Awesome. Thanks a lott
Actually you will have about 2.5GB for use. It may quickly used up by your photos, local backup, titanium backup, Downloads and also big videos.

[PATCH]**Adoptable storage enabler** MARSHMALLOW

As you may all know Samsung disabled the Adoptable storage function in the Tab S. Even the well known S7 hack doesn't work. Well now it's back...
Thanks to some legwork (no pun intended) by @longshanks197 we now have a workable solution.
As previously thought, Samsung disabled adoptable storage in the framework.
I have created this patch to fix the issue by patching the boot image and replacing sm.jar in system.
This will enable the adoptable storage feature in Settings>Storage
NOTE: I advise making a backup with TWRP before proceeding.
INSTALL:
Copy the zip below to your device then install with TWRP.

For information how to enable adoptable storage see the guide below:

You can still do that but you'll have to use adb or android terminal.
Since adoptable storage option is due to a patch, what happens to internal sd partition (and related data) when we update the firmware?

Most likely nothing as the partitions are handled by vold so it should still work regardless
However you may lose the settings in storage.
You can always reapply the patch.

Just noticed maximum storage is showing as 256GB, I have an 16gb tablet with an 128gb microsd that`s an maximum of 144GB so it`s wrong by 112GB
Is there anyway to correct this?

Looks like how much combined storage is messed up, I have 20gb of video`s and a few ebook, but the storage manager says i have used 96%
Just noticed maximum storage is showing as 256GB, I have an 16gb tablet with an 128gb microsd that`s an maximum of 144GB so it`s wrong by 112GB
Is there anyway to correct this?

I would take the combined storage info with a pinch of salt and just pay attention to the individual storage info which seems to be correct.
It's the same issue for the S7 and other Samsung devices.
Looks like Samsung cobbed something else or maybe this is one of the reasons they disabled it?
I am just going to disable AS, I was just giving it a try, I prefer to be able to remove my microsd when i need, but this bug should be listed.
Thanks
John.

Great job, thank you
Thank you so much, this is the patch I've been waiting for since I upgraded to MM and had to realize that adoptable storage didn't work with my SM-T805.
I split my SD-Card via adb and one of those tutorials existing for S7/S7 Edge, I used this one: http://www.modaco.com/news/android/heres-how-to-configure-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
Everything went fine and I had 16 GB more free space. The bug that the amount of total space is not shown correctly doesn't bother me, what counts is the new free space that is displayed correct.
16 GB is a joke for the Tab S.
Before I used Link2SD pro, which was ok, but the app didn't work anymore in the correct way in MM.
Here's the result:
Edit: I can't see the picure in the post, so here's a link to the picture: forum.xda-developers.com/picture.php?albumid=13609&pictureid=54177
