Copy OTA Update to Computer on Unrooted Phone

Like the title says I'm looking on how to copy the OTA update I'm downloading right now onto my computer. I'm on RC29 and I'm doing the AnyCut trick and the file it's downloading is signed-kila-ota-14721.2cf0eca0.zip and I'm guessing this file is RC29 -> DRC83 since it's 47385871 bytes. So yeah I'm just looking on how to copy this update from my phone to my computer and sorry if this was already posted somewhere I just couldn't find it.

OK so I activated adb on my phone like stated above is at RC29. What is the exact location of the file I have to pull the OTA .zip file?

Anyone know how to do this? (Sorry for bumping my own thread it's just I forgot you can't delete posts in this forum )

don't know if this would work, but you could try adb pull /cache [dir on computer]

After Downloading @ HD7 where can I find download flie?

Hello,
I would like to know how can I find the downloaded files in HTC HD7 with WP7?
I have downloaded files from my hotmail.
It says downloading when download is finish,I can't open the file.
WP said Can't open attachment.
(There's no application associated with this file type)
I'd like to know where this downloaded attached files saved in phone.
I looked for the files by using TouchXplorer but I can't make it at all.
I have Registry Editor, TouchXplorer and my OS version is 7389.
Can someone give me an idea?

i think that file can't be accepted with wp7.

I am trying to install .ttf , wp7 can't accepted.
But the download was finished.
I wonder if I can find this downloaded file.
I have chance to move to Windows\Fonts folder

The system does not work that way. Once you download an attachment, it gets stored by Outlook in some encrypted, hidden file somewhere that can only be accessed through the e-mail app. If the phone can't read it, then you are pretty much out of luck.
You are not meant to have file system access, so WP7 works very differently than a computer with file system access. Opening files that the OS does not support is not something you can do... yet.

Thank for all your advice.
I attached as a txt file to hotmail.
It saved as to the office hab. By using TouchXplorer, I found my text file under Document Folder. I changed file extension to .ttf.
Copy & paste at Windows\Fonts
can't do yet to change fonts in WP OS , still trying

OTA update file location

Does someone know where the OTA update file is downloaded, exact location? i have checked /cache and there is update.zip or different file, but phone says update ready with posibility to install update, so for sure zip is downloaded somewhere, but can't find the right location

Depends what version you're on.
Early versions 4.2.1 stored in download folder .
Not sure where later version stored

I would suggest to make sure the OTA downloads and then use a file explorer to search your sdcard for zipfiles. One of those should be the OTA, my guess would also be the Download folder.

OTA's usually are zip files, stored temporarily in the download folder. As soon as the update is finished, the file is deleted.
So it is possible to access it after its download is finished. But as soon as you update, its gone.

Slight correction. IOTA files are usually downloaded and stored in /cache. Not download.
And you need root to access the folder.

I was assuming on that... I've never actually taken an ota..... But either the M8 or the N5, forget which, stores it in downloads.

Hello, I just want to know where is the update.zip saved before install, when I download OTA update on stock firmware. Can somebody help?

They should be stored in /data/update/HwOUC

can't find data folder on my device.

You need to be rooted for access to /data.
