Huawei P9 Lite Firmwares
Code:
Hello,Since i'm not seeing any thread that contains Huawei P9 Lite Firmwares for VNS-L31 and other variants, i decided to create one just for reference and not to get me and others having a bad time looking for it on somewhere place. This thread will contain only firmwares for Huawei P9 Lite and maybe i may add firmwares for other variants of P9 Lite too.
Credits: Huawei, and all others who exerted their efforts bring up those links of the firmwares.

I get no update found on SD card when I do this any suggestions I really want to get rid of that unlocked message and sell phone if I had hair I would be pulling it out
I am on 151 version of ROM European model of phone.
If I read right I create a folder in the download folder of the SD card. Extract the update app. Part from the update zip file put in the new folder. Put code in dialler go to settings update by SD card and than it should update but says no update file when I try.
I have tried the same with the internal memory I have put it in the root of internal try flash the update it gets to 5℅ and says update failed.

Yes

Hey there, I was wondering how I can backup my own firmware and make it possible to flash it like these firmwares. Do I just need to make a twrp backup? And what do I have to backup? And will any of my personal stuff be on it, or will it be complete stock?
Sent from my Huawei P9 Lite using XDA Labs

as far as I know you can use the Huawei Firmware extractor in reverse mode to replace the system partition included in the update.zip
your data are saved as soon you saved the system AND the data partition ( Which are nearly any app data's and even the userapps you installed )
I would recommend a twrp backup in any case of something going wrong. How to setup twrp there are several tutorials in this board included step by step guidelines.

Kind of loosing. If you go back to stock bootloader locks and then you are good to warranty so you don t loose warranty only if you don t go back to stock

Huawei Mate S Firmware(CRR-UL00, Android5.1, EMUI 3.1, C433B146, UAE)
as close to b146 as possible
Thanks but to change the location to C433 to C470 would defeat the object as the Marshmallow beta in this instance is for C433 only. I have run C470 and the raw C000 but happy with C433. I still hold a copy of C433B146.
Thanks but someone must have it or why would they set it as a base target ton upgrade from?

*Depreciated* [Global/China] Dev/Stable/Alpha Firmware Packages for the Mi 6

Here will be the firmware packages from the latest Global/China MIUI ROMs for those of you using custom ROMs that require the firmware for radios etc to work.
I will try to keep it as up-to-date as possible so every time you need to update your ROM you can grab the newest firmware here and use it to keep firmware up-to-date as well.
Installation Instructions:
I recommend using firmware from the Stable builds, but the firmware from the other ROMs should be fine too. Let us know in the comments if you see any differences between them.
For Oreo ROMs use Oreo Firmware.
For Nougat ROMs use Nougat Firmware.

In theory it should be fine since it doesn't replace anything to do with /system.
In practice I'm not 100% sure as I've seen a few people mess up their installs by flashing firmware after ROM.
You can just flash firmware then dirty flash your ROM to be sure.
Kind of like if you were updating your ROM just using the zip version you already are on.

There doesn't seem to be noticeable differences between the firmwares.

No its not necessary.
Nothing from the zip should affect the system partition.
However I recommend flashing the firmware before flashing your ROM eg with an update or dirty flash just to be 100% sure.
But many users choose to just flash the updated firmware over their ROM and it works just as well
Maybe I'm just OCD about my install proceedures

One of the latest ones
On LineageOS I'm using the latest stable firmware.
I haven't been able to update the firmware packages for the last week as I'm away ATM but will be back soon and can resume uploading them.
You can also make the zips yourself if you download the latest ROM from miui website and use one of mine as a template of what files to remove and what to leave.
And then compare the updater script to see what lines to remove.
Its really easy I'm just uploading for people that don't want to download an entire ROM

No sorry.
You can make it yourself very easily though by downloading the full package from end.muiu.com and then using one of my firmware packages as an example of what to remove and what to leave.
Then copy the updater-script from mine to yours or edit it to be the same and flash

I'm planning to use custom ROM like LOS, but everytime i flash, the mic always not working properly, for example when recording, my voice can't be recorded, but if i tap the mic, the tapping voice is recorded..in the MIUI 9 Stable and Beta, the voice can be recorded but we have to speak very closely to the mic and the voice result also very low..and when i tried to flash back to 8.2.2.0 the mic is working normally, so do u think it's the firmware problem?

My proximity sensor didn't work with this rom. So the screen didn't dim between calls and the autobrightness setting didn't work. Otherwise its a great rom, but becouse of the issues I switched back to Lineage 14.1. Is that a bug or is it just an issue on my part?

Wdym? Like install Nougat through a ota update? I can't if that's what you mean but I thought this is android 7 but it doesn't need a emui 5 firmware to be installed
Try it then, but first backup everything

Can't boot custom ROM in Huawei P9 Lite
Hi!
First of all sorry if this is not the right place to post this problem!
I'm having a very dissapointing experience trying to install custom roms in the Huawei P9 Lite, after many instalations of different roms I always get stucked in the initial screen with the message "Your device is booting now...." . I've tried everything and I've followed all the instructions:
- bootloader unlocked
- device rooted
- twrp from meticulus
- swipe data, system, cache , davlink before installation
- installed the gapps
Everything seems to work perfectly, however it is impossible to boot in the operating system . I have a vns-l31 that originally was L31c900B130 and thenI changed to L31C432B162.
Please I need some help, I don't know what else can i do!
thanks!!!
what do i type here
nnnnnnnnn
Is this ROM still updated and supported?
ViperOS itself is discontinued. This specific Viper rom also seems to be abandoned.
Awesome Job on this ROM. I have it working on my Honor 6X (BLN-L24) which is also an hi6250 variant, and its the best one out there that I've tried for the 6x. And to think I had to come to the p9 lite forums for better variety! Anyway, thanks for the good work here to the dev team!

Happy new year to all you peoples here !!!
Dude B162 is related to Marshmallow (android 6.0 / Emui 4) firmware
and you cannot flash a rom based on Android 7.0 / Emui 5...
So find a way to upgrade to android 7.0 first, then you can flash
custom roms like this based on emui 5.
I hope I have explained the dynamics well...
P.S.: @Dil3mm4, sorry for the spam..
Does it work on the L31?
I'm looking for a ROM that work on the Huawei P9 Lite (VNS-L31). Even though it says "ROM for the Huawei P8lite/P8 Lite", some replies contains "Sent from my HUAWEI P9 lite using Tapatalk ". So does it work on the VNS-L31?

[TWRP] Stock 9.0 Stable [V10.0.14.0][October 2019]

Welcome to the new thread of twrp flashable stock Android One for Mi A1
There will be only stable TWRP flashable builds of stock with no modifications.
All these builds of mine contain everything which a fastboot ROM does, so it's a complete replacement.
How to install
1. Reboot to TWRP (CosmicDan TWRP is recommended)
2. Wipe system, data, dalvik and cache. (if coming from a custom rom) (you may skip if coming from stock)
3. Install the ROM file.
4. Reflash TWRP installer (if you want to have TWRP installed in your phone later).
5. Install Magisk (if you want to have root).
6. Reboot to system.

Original credits go to Xiaomi and Google.

Hey, can you share how you get the full source? like from MI official site or from Google directly? Do you mind sharing how you able to find the direct link to the full stock ROM of October security patch for Xiaomi A1 global?
I can't find it in official MI and I like to "Take bug report" to locate the OTA link that it tries to download and manually unpack the payload.bin, but Magisk seems can't patch the boot.img

I just had payload file from official google OTAs which I decompiled using python codes and made a twrp flashable zip that just works well and yeah, I'll keep it up to date. You all will get TWRP flashable stock within a day of OTA release but only for stable versions.

I do get the payload.bin and able to extract the boot.img, but how you recompile into a full version? the payload.bin from Septemeber patch to October patch is 200 MB++ while the TWRP flashable stock you provided is 1.1GB, how you recompile it?

Payload bin from September to October is different from payload bin of October OTA as a full package. Also, I used kitchen + wrote updater script to flash it in A/B partition device (A1 in this case) using TWRP.
Too many people have downloaded the filee?
So you cannot access the file
Showing this on download page!!!
Yeah can you rehost this with another download link?
Downloading now!! thanks for this one bro. Plz always keep up-to-date this thread. And can u tell me which custom kernel should i use for better battery life with stock rom? any idea?
Please, uploud to another serwer - thanks!
Hey guys, I'm having major exams this week so I am not sure if I have any time to reupload. If someone has it downloaded, please mirror it for time being and I'll add it to OP.
What should i do to increase charging speed as charging speed on stock is pretty slow

It is fine for me. Same as in other roms. On a side note, if you want more than official then flash a custom kernel e.g moun/franco and manually increase it.

Redmi 9 with NFC - which ROM can I download?

Finding the right ROM is confusing as there are many variants of the Redmi 9.
I want to unlock and root my phone but I understand I need to find the right MIUI ROM so I can patch the boot.img.
I have a Redmi 9 with NFC and these are the current details direct from my phone:
MIUI Version: Miui Global 11.0.9 Stable V11.0.9.0(QJCEUXM)
Android Version: 10 QP1A.190711.020
Model: M2004J19AG
The closest I can find is for the Redmi 9 EEA
https://c.mi.com/thread-3225794-1-0.html
Does this ROM support NFC?
If you look closely at the wording in the download link, this ROM is for codename "Lancelot" phones
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM/miui_LANCELOTEEAGlobal_V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM_239fd3ba13_10.0.zip
However I am a little confused as my understanding is phones with code name "Lancelot" do not have NFC but my model (M2004J19AG) with NFC is code name "Galahad". Can someone please clarify if this is the correct ROM or which ROM I can download?
I have the same device, ive downloaded the last rom version with updater and have used this for root.

Thanks, I was able to go to System Update on the phone and found the option to re-download ROM. I didn't realise you could download the same ROM if you were already at that version.
I found the rom file in the "downloaded_rom" folder in the phone and it has the same name as the one I found on Mi.com (in my original post):
miui_LANCELOTEEAGlobal_V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM_239fd3ba13_10.0.zip
So this one for the Redmi 9 EEA must support my model as NFC is working.

I have just successfully unlocked the phone 9 (after waiting for 7 days).
Because my phone has a MediaTek CPU, I found this guide to root:
[GUIDE][MAGISK] Root Access for Redmi 9 Mediatek Helio G80 without TWRP
Since our device still no TWRP Support, i will give you a simple guide how to root redmi 9 using magisk. Original guide is here Big Thanks to N3OMOD :good::good::good: EDIT: NO FORMAT DATA REQUIRED BUT BACKUP ALWAYS RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENT : -...

I saw your post in that thread where you indicated that it worked on your phone. So I tried it and it worked for my Phone. I have Root now.
