AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

If it's the same as rr, I used open camera and video recording works . But quality when I play it back is really bad.

Can't wait to try it out once it's daily driver ready (fully working camera, hotspot, fingerprint, etc).

The OP would know for sure, but you might be able to use SUBSTRATUM Themes - you can find a bunch of them on Playstore - different from the typical CM Themes in that you are using different aps that apply themes to different parts of the phone. I know it works on the PIXEL and phones using real aosp type roms but I am not sure if they will work on this port.
Good luck....

Interested to know if this is being continued and if themes can be used on this
Edge of insanity

New build is up for Both Devices, Download link update in OP and Changelog in OP.
And yes it has Full Substratum Support

Well, this ROM seems to have a lot of good stuff merged and working which is awesome !! especially the multi window stuff !
I have a question again.. The quick settings panel is merged from CM or PA or SLIMROM ? i think there are subtle differences among these 3 implementations of quick settings panel with the ability to change the layout to hold 4 or 5 columns, toggle settings, long press behaviour, change behaviour etc... I find PA & SLIMROM implementations to be better than CM, but thats my opinion only. I wanna know the what was merged in this project for Quick settings or if its an own implementation, what is it close to among the three ?...
and yea.. waiting for the PIE to be merged already !!!

Battery saving data off
Saving battery by swtiching data off when screen is off, is a great function. Would it be possible to implement 2g/3g switch with screen off as well? And maybe not restoring data or 3g until screen is unlocked? I mean, if somebody wants to check time, there is no need to turn data on again
Great ROM btw, really fluid

Very good ROM with a lot of features. However, zram is enabled with a default of 128Mb and swappiness of 60 which is both way too high. Would suggest 64-80 mb in size and swappines of 20 or 30. Just IMHO...

Great looking ROM. But I use my tablet to make phone calls, so the mic not working ruins it for me.
Installed build 18.01.2017. When make a phone call, the sound is dead for 10..15 seconds, then it starts working. Receiving calls is fine.
Great rom. so far i have no problem at all on T810 but one. it seems that miracast doesn't work. Or is it just me?
Great ROM
Just tested the 18-01-17 build, almost stable.. But the tethering not work. Turned on but shows "Error" and other device cant find it.

Hmm, I was gonna try this today and compare against your RR builds, but when I click the download link it says no files for the GTS210wifi. Any insights?

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, LineageOS, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server![/CODE]
Features
• Statusbar settings and Customizations
• Animations
• OMS Support
• Privacy Guard

Changelog:
HERE
Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enter the recovery
make all wipes (expect internal storage)
choose zip from SD and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 6.0.x
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Big Thanks @martincz for development

Edit;
I'll try this rom for a while, i hope this GPS problem will be fixed in next update soon..

I'm just maintaining this thread. However, been looking into the commits and codes and I don't see anything special. What's there on lineageOS, the same is here. GPS should work if it works on lineageOS.

Ok , i fixed the SDcard Issue. today Nightlys will included the Fix.
Bugs will be mostly the same
as on TI`s LineageOS Builds:
Fingerprint scanner not working (included, but not working)
Camera not working (killed it with kernel update )
Vibration not working (probably also kernel)
Reserved
How big chances there are, that camera, light sensor... Would start working?
