What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then I started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.

thank you for your help! I have solved this problem.
But thanks to my country GFW, I can not download your attachments, so I went to a v3.4 version of RADIOACTIVE_REBORN_KERNEL, after the flash is no longer a touch of the problem.
Maybe you can try to fix the kernel in the next release.
Thanks again!:D

I was waiting for this rom, thanks..

After a 2 day's use, almost everything work smoothly except the camera.Sometimes the shot bottom would take response for the type gesture but no photo could be created..

What do you mean by Nougat firmware files, other than the ROM and RR kernel what else is there ??

Installed this.
Steps followed >
1. From Android M, Reset phone.
2. In TWRP, clean everything except internal storage.
3. Flashed ROM, XOSP Apps and OpenGApps Pico
Experience >
1. Touch screen not calibrated properly, couldn't get past start screen
2. Flashed latest Andy Kernel, it worked.
3. Messaging app supports dual sims fine.
4. In Settings, default sim for calls is grayed.
5. Incoming calls in sim 2 don't show up in screen so can't receive, neither in call log as missed calls.
6. All calls go via Sim 1 though in the grayed portion in settings shows sim 2, and also the call screen shows it is going via sim 2. I know this because after calling the carrier message comes for the balance deduction of the sim that was called from which was not the one showing on the in-call screen.
7. Third party caller/dialer apps though giving the sim selection option when placing calls, still it goes via sim 1.
5. From India, not using Reliance Jio, used Vodafone and Aircel.
6. Quite a few FCs in settings app, only in Sim Cards settings.
** I don't use mobile data, but the option was there to select default sim for that so assuming it works well.
** Really great ROM, one of the best screen resize options and default media players out there, sorry to opt out.

What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?
Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

What is XOSP?
XOSP is an after-market firmware based on CodeAuroraSources (CAF) destinated for a wide range of Android phones. The name stands for the Xperia Open Source Project and the project was initially created by @nilac for the Galaxy S+ (his old device) years ago when back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there it was rebranded to XOSP. Calin worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. How do we release updates?
We release new updates for our Official devices each week by providing Delta updates to the users,so maintainers of the other devices can do the same as well if they want to keep up with the changes. We will make full zip releases only once a month except special cases like for example XOSPDelta is not working or something like it.

You should set up apn by yourself for a now.
So far it is working good, But no default massaging app in this Rom.
Browser app crashes , not much customization features available.
waiting for new updates may be 7.1.2
In setting data usage in WiFi no option to disable WiFi access in individual app...?? Lineageos rr roms n other roms has it
Battery drain is minimal. Better that original LineageOS.
I nominate this ROM for Lite or Slim ROM.

This is an unofficial build of XOSP Nougat for S4 Mini 3G (GT-I9190), DS (GT-I9192), LTE (GT-I9195), and USC (SCH-R890) only.
The ROM is now based on AOSP-CAF (changed over from Lineage) and while nilac maintained as much compatibility with CM hardware as possible, some unexpected bugs are possible. For the same reason build is not the simplest, so do not expect weekly updates. I will try to do my best to update once a month, but no promises.

Will try to build an update at least once a month. So far this is the only AOSP-CAF based nougat ROM for our device and it is quite unique so it would be nice to have it as an option. Problem is that because it is CAF based, building it is not a sure thing. I exchanged a few messages with nilac who helped me get going with it, will see how the future goes.
I like this ROM a lot, but AOKP is still my favourite.
You should be able to turn off Ambient display if you don't like it. I didn't look at home button wake option yet.
Hi all, does this ROM have the "USB Internet" option in network settings that enables reverse tethering to a connected PC? Thanks a million if someone who has it installed can check!
@csendre Volume buttons doesn't work when display is off. Also camera crashes when I try to make photo with flashlight

I didn't check volume buttons but you are right about the camera. I' am afraid it could be a CAF incompatibility, I'll try to figure something out if I can.
Update: you are right about the volume too. I will ask nilac if it is normal
Hi, great to see a different rom, CM/lineageos still the same since many years
Great projects dev, thanks

Volume is now entered as bug in the bug tracker. I received a response which works as a temporary workaround:
"It is caused by the feature that makes the tracks change when volume buttons are long-pressed when the screen is off. Disabling it in the sound settings makes them work again."
Twrp 3.1.n1-0
New TWRP builds are uploaded
Starting with this version sources are maintained by my as Matt decided to stop working on it.
A few updates on XOSP: Sources are now updated to 7.1.2_r11; the volume button issue is solved, and the home button wake entered as feature request.
I will hold off for a few more days with an update as nilacis looking into this strange camera issue when taking pictures with flash. Apparently no other device has this problem, yet I don't believe it to be device related as we don't have it on LOS based ROMs
Wonderful rom, just need more customized menue
, camera issue still persist
New builds based on 7.1.2 are uploaded
- Volume buttons should work with screen off
- camera FC while using flash is still there unfortunately; nilac is helping me with this, it is very strange issue
@jason972000 will hopefully maintain this ROM for the LTEUSC variant and this thread will be extended to include this serrano variant as well.
Thank you Jason!
