Problem with configuration steps Mokee 7.1 (Huawei G620s) - Honor 4x Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have just flash Mokee 7.1 (170113)+Gapps from CM13. The flash went off correctly. But when I'm in configure steps, after choose Wifi Spot I'm asked to "copy from another android device" I can't dogde this step and my phone is unusable ;(
If you can help me! Thanks you.

boot to twrp > mount > check system > come back to twrp home> now select adwanced> file manager > system> priv-app> stupwizard> setupwizard.apk>delete>
wipe cache/dalvic and reboot
you wil not at all face any setup steps, you will be directed to home screen itself, and you can setup manually, anything you want

CM13 20151114 "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped"

Just flashed cm-13.0-20151114-UNOFFICIAL-titan.zip on my XT1068 and that boots OK, I can also call and data seems to work.
If I install open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20151118.zip after reboot there's only the message "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" and I can't continue...
Any clues?

Wipe dalvik, cache, system ( but dont touch internal storage)
Install - choose CM zip, add another package - add OpenGapps Pico - flash - reboot. Voila.
Be sure to skip cache/dalvik wipe and just reboot

Mi Mix - sound problems after updating on Linieage os 15.1

Hi,
I changed the software of my Mi Mix 6 months ago to lineage os - after the change of the os, the sound was not running properly anymore. In the forum someone did help me out with software for a firmware update. Now I updated on Lineage os 15.1 and the soundproblems are there again. Can someone tell me, if I have to update the firmware again, respectively where I can find the relevant software. Thanks for helping!

I am sorry - I have been not very precise. The sound itself is still working. But my device especially has problems to connect to myBluetooth Speaker. Maybe thats more a connection issue. There are further a bunch of small problems, I cannot explain. For example - I cannot download maps of different regions in my map app anymore. As well - I am using the yalp store to download certain apps I need - downloads or updates are not possible anymore. Half a year ago someone gave me this link for firmware updates: https://mega.nz/#F!zlJBQJhJ!BJuv0brw0doTafuLTXJATw Is it useful to update the firmware on a newer version?
Best
First you do not need to use a firmware for LoS 15.1, just the latest nightly which is here: https://download.lineageos.org/lithium
*Second.... Do NOT use any app store beside Google Play. Because it may cause problems to your phone. Use Google Play only... Any the apps can harm your device.... I would suggest to do a full wipe on the advance wipe option in TWRP... That means everything except for USB OTG.. Make sure you are done... Make sure all data partitions (DATA, Caches) is on EXT 4 before installing. See the info below near the photo.
If your phone still have problems.....I would suggest go back to Stock Firmware by using Mi Flash (make sure you click "Clean All" without locking your phone on the bottom right of Mi-Flash) when you boot your phone to to **bootloader**. You can use Mi Flash and flash the current Global Stable or Global Developer for the Mi Mix which is on en.miui.com/a-234.html then check to see if the problem still happens on either firmwares. If there is no problem, then by all means go back to LoS 15.1. The Miui Rom Flashing tool link is right above the list of the Miui Rom Version. And again i warn you before flashing the stock firmware to click the "Clean All" only.. not "Clean All and Lock" because it will lock your bootloader. Then after your done, check for any problems.. If the phone is ok.. Then go back to LoS 15.1 to determine if these problems still happen.. If it works fine.. Then you know why your phone had problems in the first place.
The photo is for you to see what to wipe when doing a clean installation of LoS 15.1.. Wipe all except for the USB OTG before flashing anything. Repair and Change system file is to check to see if all of your partitions is on EXT 4. Just to make sure you have no errors of any kind before installing.

download and flash the latest firmware i cooked from my google drive : https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1PGmzEcmgG0XhRB7110CDDTgMwmw4N3MM
if the issue still there, it's not firmware problem, maybe it's the ROM problem.
you can try CrDroid : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix/development/rom-crdroid-t3758726

Thanks a lot for your extensive response.
One thing - out of some reason I cannot start TWRP manually (maybe cause I encrypted my hard-drive). I only can start it using adb. Once, my recovery is started, I can not connect to the phones hard-drive via my computer anymore. Am I not deleting the complete hard-drive plus OS, when I am performing an extended wipe - as you are suggesting. My problem is, that I am afraid, that I am not able to install a new OS after a wipe (since I will delete all data stored on the hard-drive and to enter my hard-drive again, I would have to start the phone...).
Ps. I never heard that it might cause problems to install apps from apps like the yalp store. Since I am not interested to have all the google surveillance software on my phone, using a costum rom without gapps seemed a good way for me till now.

Dear Hendrix, I am not a pro just an interested person trying to emancipate myself dealing with smartphonetechnology. Thanks a lot for your guideline. I will try your advice as soon as I find the time. Will let you know, if everything worked out! Best wishes
For what it's worth, flashing the firmware provided by hendrix fixed my lineageos 15.1 problems.
I recently moved into LineageOS coming from latest MIUI 10 by Xiaomi.eu. Initially everything worked fine except for sound when playing media files (notification sound works). The firmware flash fixed everything.

Me too, Phone itself worked great, had NO sound from Google Assistant, no sound from headphones, no sound from speakers, but did have ring/notifications and some sound. Video was laggy and intermittent on youtube and the net..... I tried many different Roms, Many newer firmwares and the ONLY ONLY thing that worked was the suggestion to try firmware 8.1.4
After that all is working great...…………..

[GUIDE] GSI for US V40

Greetings everyone, i go by the name Ainz Ooal Gown. Here i bring you the a guide to flash GSI roms to your V40
Fist things first if you try this and end up with a brick or your device transforms and tries to take over the world; it's not my fault you messed up not me. So just read all of this thread not just the O.P to, and get out of a bind if you reply with "the thread is too long i wont read it please help" don't expect anything short of "there's a search bar use it"
Requirements
Unlocked bootloader
TWRP
Installation guide:
You need to download Lineage OS 16 by Xsavi i recommend the build "lineage-16.0-20190914-UNOFFICIAL-judypn(More LG Stuff use this).zip". Put into your external SD
You need to download a GSI from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development i personally recommend Havoc OS 2.9 and Resurrection Remix 7.0 download the Arm 64 A/B Variant and what ever recommended Gapps Package is linked.
Extract the GSI you downloaded and copy the extracted Folder into your external SD.
Boot into TWRP and check your active Slot in the reboot menu.
Flash LOS 16 Install -> select the ROM zip -> tick Inject TWRP -> Swipe for install (if you're on a, it will be installed to b, and vice versa).
Go to and select Reboot Menu -> select your inactive slot -> select recovery and you should reboot into your inactive slot.
Go to and select Wipe Menu -> Swipe to factory reset
Select install and navigate to your downloaded GSI -> select install image -> select the GSI image -> select the bubble next to "System Image" -> Swipe to Custom Flash.
Select the wipe menu -> select advanced wipe -> select the square next to "System" -> select "Repair or Change File System" -> select Resize File System -> Swipe to Resize.
Install any Gapps and/or Magisk and reboot.
You will probably have to add your Carriers APN settings for Data and MMS to work.
Thanks to: @SGCMarkus @Xsavi

When I flash LOS16 into my inactive B slot, I am unable to boot into TWRP on slot B because there's some Lineage recovery in place and no option to flash anything and the sideload option doesn't work; I am checking inject TWRP. Am I missing something?

If you injected TWRP and made sure it was checked it should've given you TWRP in slot b I'll pm you with what to do give me a sec
On step 9, I get a failed error on resize. The error is:
Code:
/sbin/e2fsck -fp /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/
system_b process ended with ERROR: 1
Unable to repair system
Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT: I tried to install gapps after this, but it failed because of insufficient space. Went to check the /system partition size, and it only has 65MB free out of 1637MB. Is there a way to restore the original partition size and start from scratch?

You have 2 things to try, 1st. resize again and see if the error happens again... 2nd. Reboot recovery and try once more I've had this happen to me.

You can always factory reset after flashing gapps to get all your stuff synced and what not...or just add your account after and it may tell you to finish setting up.

Hey guys any workaround to get pie ? For at&t unlocked v40, currently in malaysia , dont have at&t carriers here .
So this would work with havoc 3 probably? I look forward to trying in a little.

If you mean Los 17 from SGC Markus? Then nope his rom has its own instructions and if you mean as a base for GSI well you can try but I haven't had any luck.
Is there a way to remove the GSI without reflashing the whole thing? RR is having an issue with the camera that is still in development. Is there any way to revert to the LOS 16 without losing my data?

3- Before continue following steps estract on pc "crdrom-v302-210315-arm64-bvZ.img" from "crdrom-v302-210315-arm64-bvZ.img.xz" and activate USB debug in phone settings
4- Reboot in fastboot and connect the phone to the pc with cable
5- Install on pc minimal adb tool (zip at the bottom), flash the TWRP recovery typing " fastboot flash recovery ", now drag twrp file near the command, then vbmeta typing " fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta " and drag vbmeta file near the command. Finished the procedure type " fastboot reboot " and hold volume + on the phone until you see the recovery screen

Happy that many GSI roms are under develment. I hope this phone will die due to hardware, as there are lots of options in future to keep the software updated.
Anyway, if someone intends to try, following is the link of all GSI Roms.

Hey
I'm not using crDroid yet, but I've already installed TWRP.
It is advertised that you should flash vbmeta when you're installing TWRP.
I hope I can help you

I recommend you to remove it from the magisk app to avoid problems but I think that would be the same

I haven't this problem, have you flashed the gsi fixer? Did you start the installation from miui 12.0.1? It's really important, anyway, you can try to do again the procedure
Does VoLTE and VoWIFI works ? It's a GSI so I'm not thinking it works...

Hey !
I'm so happy !
Everything works on that GSI rom, but I haven't the certification on SafetyNet.
With the covid-tracing app, there is a little problem but it's with all the custom roms so...
Thanks a lot for your guide !

Hi, I'm happy for you, for safetynet try the magisk module, I didn't have this problem, anyway, try the rom and than leave a feedback, it could be useful for other people who want to try this rom
I can't get this rom to work correctly. Did the steps as described, but it has SELinux not enforced and Google play isn't certified. Tried multiple times.
EDIT: seems my phone is soft bricked now (Can't install any rom). Going back to xaomi stock to try again.
I tried again and got it to work. The certificate patch throws an error but Google apps are working.
I get an SE Linux not enforcing error. though.
Is there anything I can do about that?
I lost the treble-overlay-xiaomi-redmi8.apk file ,I should problems with the brightness
