Issue with Zenwatch manager - Asus ZenWatch 3

After yesterday new update version of Zenwatch manager I'm keep getting this massage when launching the app.
It's stays all over time unchanged.
I tried restart the phone, after that reset the watch and from beginning on pair with my phone nothing at all.
I even tried the previous version manually that installed but no results.
It's really really weird issue.
Android Wear app is working fine also watch as standalone perfect, getting notification, making phone, music control management all working great.
But I can't made Zenwatch manager works as it should just like all previous days from the beginning had the watch end of November 2016.
Anyone else had this bizarre experience.

I had the exactly same problem.i have waited for 5min when i got it connected but I could not use the faces from this app, only from Android Wear app. So I uninstalled the zenwatch manager and got a previous version from google (3.2.0.161220). You can find it here:
http://www.apkmonk.com/app/com.asus.watchmanager/

Eventually I did hard reset my phone and now works fine.
I've tried all others solution but didn't work so my last attempt was by trying hard reset my phone before sending it back to amazon.
But I'm having the previous version both Zenwatch manager and Android Wear app.
Not gone install latest version seems baggy to me.

Hello guys, I have problem with Zenwatch manager too.
I can´t use additional watch faces from Zenwatch manager. If I choose some watch face my watch still loading this new watch face. Other watch faces from from different sources like Watchmaker works fine.
I sendind screenshot from my Zenwatch 3 If I choose some watch face from manager.
Is it possible to fix it?
Thank you for reply :good:
edit: I´m using latest versions of Android wear and Zenwatch manager...

I've got also this issue before the Zenwatch manager issue and I think it has to do with crappy Google feed on main screen when opening Android Wear app.
DON'T enable it.
I'm both now as I said at previous version both Android Wear and Zenwatch manager and works flawlessly just like before I did the upgrade on both app.
Now I've disable automatic update on store.

Here is the solution:
First install the latest version of zenwatch
from the play store.
1: uninstall the latest zenwatch manager
2: re-install zenwatch manager but don't open it yet.
3: un-pair your zenwatch 3
4: when it's 100% done pairing and syncing and your watch is 100$ ready to use
then open zenwatch manager and it will almost instantly say "connected" without
you having to do anything at all.
The above solution worked for me.....
Good luck, have a great day!

Finally! +1
I just got a zw3 yesterday and after some more than light searching could NOT find ANYTHING about zw manager not being able to update/load watchfaces and here we go... I just thought that it was quarter baked android wear/watches that were the problem and that all the reviews/etc. missed this....
Actually mine WORK(at least from android wear, switching) UNTIL I pick the GEAR icon to customize, then everything goes to hell in a handbasket...
Do you get the zw manager has stopped as well? then the loading thing -> REFRESH? [EDIT] just to be clear on the zw3 itself and NOT on the phone... [/EDIT]
Man, I factory reset twice, monkeyed with all kinds of settings, etc. only to find that now I am not alone and that ASUS has zero QC on their sw... guess that they shouldn't release over their 'big' holiday... buncha lushes...

Zenwatch Manager Custom Faces Works Again!
FINALLY!
Couldn't find the solution anywhere, and of course, ASUS offered no help whatsoever.
I deleted FaceDesigner (not Zenwatch Manager) and then reinstalled it (fortunately, it did not delete my already made custom faces, for which I am thankful). Once I reinstalled it, my Zenwatch 2 then asked if I wanted to install it on the watch as well.
Yes, please.
I now have the ability to change to my custom Wisconsin Badgers face again! Woohoo!

For all that are still having a issue with Zenwatch manger install this version on your phone, ( 3.3.0.0170620 ) then hit the Zen watch app on the watch a couple of times don't upgrade and it connects perfectly. I tried to upload the apk for you it would not upload.

I haven't got any update notification so far, but I watched the 2.3 video. The URL feature is a great workaround until Mango allows LazyTube to be set as the default youtube video app. Running under lockscreen is nice as well, even though I'll hardly use it. But LazyTube remembering the actual position of a playing video when returning from standby is very nice.
Again, thanks for your hard work, guys. LazyTube is still the best YouTube app out there. By far.

Honestly, it's great to be in such close contact to developers of apps and see them improving their apps with features users wanted to have. And you guys are some of the few who do an outstanding job there.

First I just want to say this is by far the best YouTube app.
you should do that if u look for a URL and there is only one result, it should just go stright to it, so there is one less press.

Sadly, this app has stopped working for me. I don't know what has changed, but within the past week or so, I can only run the app four or five times after a soft reboot. After that, it crashes as soon as the Lazyworm apps logo screen appears.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and also tried the trial version of LazyTube, but both do the same thing. If I reboot my phone, I can run the app a few times again, but eventually it starts crashing on startup.
I've also tried installing SuperTube and EasyTube, and they both work fine (though I don't like either as much as the Lazyworm versions).

Try and contact them via Twitter @lazywormapps, Facebook or through the in app email support. They're really helpful and I'm convinced they'll get that sorted out for you.
Thanks, I'll give that a try. But I am concerned that they won't be able to do much, since it sounds like I'm the only person experiencing this problem. I wonder if I have a registry setting that is corrupted somehow, causing the crash.
The puzzling thing is that both of the other YouTube apps work perfectly.

How To Install Android Apps or Games

There is probably a post on this but this is something a little different. Video How to guide that even the newest noob can follow. I have read about this and searched it but no one did it straight though an made a step by step on How to do this. I did, Here is a list of what you need and a video on how to do it. Step by Step, easy How to guide. Anyone can do this.
You will need to to power on the Galaxy Gear, go to settings and enable USB debugging in about device. Now put the Gear on the Dock and plug it into the computer with the Micro usb. Now open a CMD and run ADB. Find the location of you desired app and type "ADB Install "File Location and Name" into the ADB. Need help watch the Video. Hard to explain in text, Its why I made a video walk through. Deleting apps require another app or factory resetting the Device.

Anything requiring internet access will not properly function. I'm hoping we can get a custom recovery and ROM with bluetooth data tether to the phone. Then the sky is the limit!

Wow left that out. No apps that require any type of internet will work. Games or applications.
also if it was possible to tether the signal though Bluetooth then this watch would become 100 times more use full. like you said the possibilitys are endless we just need to unlock the doors in front of us first.

What worked for me is to first install the hacker's keyboard, reboot, then install google keyboard. This seems to activate the hacker's keyboard which works fine. When you bring up the keyboard in an app that requires it, there is a icon on the lower row which allows editing of the keyboard settings. What worked best for me is a 4-row keyboard with key label settings at 600% so you can read the letter symbol on the key.

Es File Explorer
Hacker's Keyboard
Samsung keyboard (the one that works with watch)
Thanks!
PS: Thanks for tip on Vplayer , gotta love it!
Thanks bro worked like a charm. Wish I could get a keyboard working I also noticed that some apps would not work even when it says success there was no app on the phone but twitter does work just need that keyboard to log in.
Will you do a video on how to delete the apps? Reseting the gear gets old after a while lol.

Large Calc
DicePlayer
Synology DS File (local/watch browsing and file deletion)
CTRL Keyboard (it works, but want something better)
Photos (Mini Gallery accesses them as does DS File)
Custom ringtones

I'm not sure about copyright, but I know they have the PacMan on the Tizen. So I say go for it and ask later? Plus I really want to play Space Invaders....

I think I'll follow the philosophy of, "If it seems reasonable, do it until someone tells you not to."
If I remember correctly they never protected the game just the name, that's why there were so many clones. Would never happen today. Lol.

Which version?
How much space do you have left?
Any modifications?
How did you install it?

Thanks for the game! Yes it installed fine, I sideloaded with Android Commander (GUI ADB) Game started right up, I had to figure out controls quickly, lol....Well the graphics aren't out of this world, but the name of the game is...haha..lolol...Ok, crappy joke.... but the concept is there and it is very entertaining. I just need to learn to play a little better. I wasted my limited ammo... Overall, it's a cool game. Thanks a bunch for sharing.

I'm not fan of using ADB. Everything else works through Wondershare, I'll try to install it through device and report.
Installed it on device itself, it does not work. Freezes my Gear, and also my brothers Gear. Both on the same ROM.

I'm using Null_ 23 BTW, it's weird that it doesn't run on some. Have those of you on older versions of Null thought about updating?

Not really, everything that I use works on 22.1 so absolutely no need to touch anything in this little thing.
I really have no idea what could be stopping it working on the Null_ 22 ROMs, has anyone else tried it with stock or other versions of Null_?
I have one theory and I'll try that fix for the next update later.
Well, I was hoping for more feedback or interest in this project. As it hasn't generated as much interest as I had hoped I'm going to focus more on other things. My original plan was to build the app for the Galaxy Gear then possibly expand it to Android Wear.
Thanks to everyone who commented, I might come back to this in the future if I find time and motivation.
EDIT: Motivation found. I'll be releasing version 1.0 soon.
Sorry, I hate to triple post but I've just uploaded v1.0 and thought that was bump-worthy.

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. Could you try using the stock firmware? If that's not possible, I understand. It would help to figure it out if you found that it worked on stock or other firmwares.
Has anyone else had this issue? I need more information to narrow it down.
Sorry to say same for me just a blank screen and I'm on null 23

I'm sorry to hear that you've had issues too but I appreciate the feedback. I'm seeing 52 downloads of v.1.0, has no one else had that issue or is everyone else staying silent about it? I would really appreciate more feedback to help narrow down the issue.
As far as I'm aware, null_ firmware includes on-screen keyboard support so I've removed keyboard support from the app (it wasn't necessary anyway) and posted a new version with the keyboard layer removed.
Please let me know if 1.01b fixes your issue.

LG Urbane W150 Battery issue fix, uninstalling stock apps.

So guys I bought this watch and couldnt really compare it to earlier than 5.1.1. The battery issue was terrible...terrible..every swipe I lost 1% of the battery.
I read all the threads about Android Wear caused the issue, and I did all the fixes, but it was all placebo effect and the problem returned quicly.
I installed twrp and supersu and then sideloaded es profiler and uninstalled the system apps through es profiler:
1. lge watchface
2. bioprotection app, cant remember the name
3. lg fitness app.
I uninstalled about 10 apps I guess.
Then I tried disable some services in Android Wear app with the "Disable Service" app and tested witch work and so on. About 10-12 services was disabled
I did a factory reset the phone after all this and noticed the stock apps was not there also es profiler was gone which I sideloaded again.
So after all this the phone is so much more snappy and the battery feels much better i task manager looks good without the lg system apps too.
Im so much happier about 2 hour now and lost 3%(97%)
Edit: 12 hours later than 97%
Battery update now 85%..the battery drain here would be lower if I didnt sleep with the watch but I did to test it, that hasnt changed I lose about 10% in sleeping.
ROOT and twrp GUIDE:
http://www.evilsocket.net/2015/06/15/how-to-root-the-lg-watch-urbane-b285/
I followed that guide and when I came to step 10. It wouldnt boot back into twrp recovery and showed me a "bricked" logo of android....But I rebooted into the bootloader instead and from there I was able to reboot into the twrp recovery.
BATTERY UPDATE 20. SEPTEMBER
The battery last me 3 days now. Im really happy with the results.
I turn the watch off when I sleep though

Hey, nice to hear that someone is doing some "research" with this device, the problem with app by sideload is that after a factory reset they vanish, but it's easy to sideload them again. What we need right now is a new rom... Hehehehe

Well its possible to download and restore the watch back to factory right? I didnt research that
I can tell you that the battery is amazing right now. Used about 20% today. I disabled alot more services from Android wear, specially the google app that only needs the nowfetch service to be enabled or else the android wear won open normally.
so I disabled about 40-50 services. The connection between the phone and watch is lightning fast its so snappy.
One downfall is that I have to resync after installing an app sometimes, but Im fine with that. I also deleted the LG Call app....that is the worst app ever. It drains battery so much.

Would you know this would work for the w150 model?
It is the w150 Im using so yes
For those interested im developing a kernel. Im testing it and the result seems good, about 2.3%/hr but more snappy then the stock and without disabling service or uninstalling apps.

Sounds interesting. I do need to uninstall crap Im not using though. Also I have figured out how Android Wear services work. The app can easily be replaced by a developer. I only use 7 services out of the 23 which helps prevent battery loss also.
I have improved the battery life from under a half day to 3 days of usage now with maps and everything

If you are not using the sensor underneath the watch that measures you puls follow this, if your are dont uninstall the apps because they will be gone for good:
1.root according to the provided link (noticed what a said about step 10)
2. Sideload es pro filer....you can use apps2wear or any other guide on youtube
3. Through es pro filer you can uninstall system apps, like the crap lg has provided.
I have disabled almost every service in the google app application, only enabled:
GoogleNowRemoteService
CalendarIntentService
Keep in mind we are talking about 43 services that has been disabled. So if you are a person that uses alot of different features of apps you can have issues. I only use minimal and elegant watchface and have also disabled all of the services in this app, about 8 services that keeps sending receiving infos on weather and batteries and etc.
According to what kind of whatcface and launcher you are using on the watch disable services on the androidwear. Keep in mind I can still use maps, kalender and other apps without issue. Only enable following services in androidwear disable the rest.
DeviceConnectionsUpdaterService
DispatchingWearableListenerService
IncomingCallService
LongLivedProcessStateService
NotificationCollectorService
PackageUpdateService
I have only these enabled in android wear services.
I use following apps without issue:
Wear Mini Launcher
Wear Messenger
Task manager
Calender for androidwear
Calculator for android wear
I havent had so many issues. I only resync when I dont see the app on my watch after installing.
All this fixes helped me with batterylife for 3 days and still 17% left
I also power off my watch when I sleep

Ok, if you were able to root and instal the twrp is basically the same:
To test only ( reboot will give you back the stock kernel):
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot bass-skin1980-v1.img
to flash the kernel:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot bass-skin1980-v1.img
fastboot reboot

Cause although I've pushed via adb sideload twrp, and the last version from android wear, I'm gonna take the damned watch to warranty, yeah still... Cause I didn't had the time to do so, already told in another thread that I was gonna take it to the store, bur still no time to do so...

hi! may i asked which disable service app you're using? cause i've tried this one and it didn't worked on my watch. thanks!
Or... just turn off WiFi...
So you know it drinks battery juice really really bad.
Like the poster above I'm also wondering which app you used to disable services on your watch? I tried installing the disable services app from the play store on mine and it force closes.
Battery life on my watch is terrible, less than 12 hours, have tried factory resets, custom kernels/rom , none have made any difference. Drops around 45% overnight even in airplane mode with theatre mode enabled as well. Would like to try disabling services before consigning it to the bin!
Thanks

hi,
there is a similar thread or 2 about this issue "here somewhere"
(I have posted a reply in one thread)
I also have this issue now or again. (very seldom) mostly with Play store.. back button.
I suspect it could be some software " bug"
Reason ... .( I had this similar
issue with my Note 8.0... same time/peroid when it happens on my Note5.)
So my opinion is its either Play store.. /software.. Rom related.. ? and not hardware etc.
Good luck

i'm waiting samsung update or someone give us solution
Guys any news about this issue ???
Me too' I have the same issue with my n920c. It's random. Please someone tell us if they have a solution for this problem because it seems that there is no solution in samsung side for now.
I have the SM-N920V. I have noticed the same problem, but it only happens when I have rebooted within the previous 5 minutes. Therefore I feel as though it is a software issue because some sort of component had not yet finished loading from the boot. Is this the case you folks have found?

My wife has this issue on her LG V10. Turned out the Facebook messenger app was the cause. Not sure how or why, but since I have uninstalled it the issue has stopped. This has been the case for a few others in the V10. Thought I would share this as it may or may not work for you.

I have reinstalled the messenger app and it returns. Please don't think this is the only fix. I do believe this is a software issue on multiple platforms, just think messenger apk does something to trigger this bug. Again, if it works for you I'm glad it helped, if it did not, I.m sorry and do hope there is a solution soon as this is an annoying problem.
