Better Battery Stats: always shows "0 s (seconds)" in the "since boot" section - BetterBatteryStats

Better Battery Stats: always shows "0 s (seconds)" in the "since boot" section
Android 2.3.6
I updated Better Battery Stats to 2.2.2.0 revision: since this revision, when I launch Better Battery Stats, as first screen it shows the "since boot" reference, but despite the fact that when I launch BBS will automatically refresh itself (Computing...), BBS always shows "0 s" since the boot time: it still shows "0 seconds" since the boot also if i manually refresh the statistic.
To have a reference since the boot, when i turn on my phone, I have to manually make a custom reference.
EDIT: After rebooting my phone, inside Better Battery Stats, the reference "since boot" is no longer available; there are only "custom reference" and "since unplugged"; the last one "since unplugged, however, shows the same issue: it always reports since "0 s": is not able to calculate the time since the phone has been unplugged from the charger. As I stated below, with an older revision of BBS, everything works as expected.
One of the previous revisions (Better Battery Stats 2.2.0.0RC3), instead, the "since boot" reference time worked as expected.

Battery issues with CM6 nightly

I had a CM 5.0.8 based ROM a few weeks ago and my battery was working well enough. I just installed CM6 (CyanogenMod-6-09232010-NIGHTLY-DS) and now my battery runs out while the screen is off at night if it's not plugged in.
When I go into Spare Parts -> Battery History, selecting Other usage and Since last unplugged, "Running" has a red bar and is at 99.9%. "Screen On" also has a red bar and is at 7.6%, and the same with "Phone on" with 0.7%. It's almost exactly the same for "Total in all time"
I can't figure out exactly why that's happening, but it seems to be part of the cause. I just have no idea how to fix it
For CPU Usage, "Total since boot" has red bars for "suspend" and "android system", but both are very small
For Network Usage, "UID 10007" has a mostly red bar with a bit of blue.
I can get screenshots if that's not enough information, but that's all I can find anyway.
Also, when I tap the "Running 99.9%" thing, it says that the amount of time without sleeping is 3+ hours. This isn't right; that's the amount of time the phone has been on, but it's been in sleep mode most of that time. It seems like the phone isn't actually going to sleep or something. Either way, while using the phone my battery runs out too quickly.
Are there any apps that cause this in the background, maybe? I have Swiftkey, Google Voice, and Astrid, all of which seem to run processes constantly. Then again, I've never had any problems before.

[Q] strange battery / cpu stats issue

I have a strange problem with battery and cpu stats on the phone, ever since I rooted and upgraded from GB to my first custom ROM as per this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908187
So, my phone is:
Incredible S (duh)
Revolutionary HBoot
Clockworkmod Recovery
The ROM is supposedly just an unlocked but otherwise unmodified ICS RUU from HTC, so
Android 4.0.4, HTC Sense 3.6
Radio: 00_24_M
Now the problem. Using the built-in Battery setting, I can see the the discharge chart and the items using the power, as before. But what's weird is that only Screen, Wifi, and Cell standby are ever listed. And Screen takes like 90%. No Android system, no apps ever show up here. And mobile network signal within the chart is always gray/yellow, even though I have full bars of reception most of the time.
If I use GSam Battery Monitor, I can see that App actually uses up 80% of the battery, whereas the screen takes up about 16%. This looks more plausible based on my usage. And GSam shows the phone signal as constant at 40% (and 0% when I go into airplane mode).
And if I use CPU Spy, it complains that it can't read the file /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/stats/time_in_state. This might explain why in BetterBatteryStat, the CPU States page is blank (unlike before the upgrade).
In short, it looks like some stats files aren't be generated / made readable.
Any help?

So just rely on your GSam battery monitor. Or better yet, use Android Revolution HD or Blackout. Both are based off the ICS RUU (I forget which one and I'm too lazy to find it right now) but they are both modified and tweaked here and there with the latter having many more Mods and tweaks etc. I personally recommend Blackout because I always though of it to be a very speedy, yet battery efficient ROM for me.

[Q] Device is awake since morning, no matter what

Hi
I tride to reboot several times, stay with wifi on/off, it just wont let go.
Im not rooted, with stock rom 23.1.a.1.28.
with gsam battery monitor I see "Android System" & "Android OS" as main consumers.
Very frustrating..usually this time of day Im still 90%+, but now at 77% already

Analyzing the Standby drain from Android OS

Let me keep this short and to the point. As numerous other users, I am also extremely bothered by the huge Android OS drain while on standby. On average, standby drain is 3% - 4% per hour, which is unacceptable. Let me describe my condition and my findings.
My setup
Stock OpenBeta 10 - 12, stock kernel, with Magisk and greenify. Dual sim (Airtel + Jio). 4G mobile data always active on Jio. Drain remains same if I disable both/ one of the sims, turn off data, or switch to flight mode.
What I tried
Used this command from a PC to check if any rogue app is using too much CPU. It once showed me Google drive was constantly using 6% CPU, but it was an one time bug, rebooting fixed it and never showed up again. Clearly, active usage was not problem, only the standby.
Code:
adb shell top -m 20 -s cpu
Then I checked BetterBatteryStats and I always see such alarming "Wake (Screen Off)" times. As you can see in screenshot in attachment. It is almost 50% of total standby. It might seem if the wakelocks are due to Google Play Services or GoogleQuickSearchBox, but no! Google's app take wakelock only if the phone is already awake, the primary reason of waking up has to be checked by this tool called Battery Historian by Google
To use it,
Download the repository as Zip file from https://github.com/google/battery-historian
Install python 2.7 and add python to your path.
Unzip Battery Historian after downloading as ZIP and go to scripts folder.
Run these two commands in cmd with phone connected in USB Debugging mode
Code:
adb shell dumpsys batterystats > batterystats.txt
python historian.py batterystats.txt > batterystats.html
If you cant get python running, skip the second command and upload the txt file here.
Now you will have a HTML file, possibly around 4-5MB. Opening it takes a bit of time to fully load in browser, like 1-2mins. Be patient.
In this graph, compare your screen, wake_lock* and wake_reason rows. In my case, the wake reason is almost always QCOM SMD-MODEM or QCOM SMD-MPM. And loads of wakelock from RILJ_ACK. Both of these point to possible screw ups from OnePlus at proper optimization of the radio interface.
I am not exactly sure what this means as I don't have much expertise on the kernel level, instead I am an app developer. I highly suspect it is a bug at the firmware/radio level.
I urge everyone to post their own findings and also help in fixing the problem with proper explanation if anyone possesses the kernel level expertise. I have also included my own battery stats in the attachments, if anyone is interested in further investigation

Statistics from full load or since it was unplugged, dissappear.

Hello,
since a time ago that I use XDA BBS battery app to monitor battery consumption. I've been using gsam battery recently because it gives me some statistics since the last time the phone was full charged or since it was unplugged that BBS does not give, if the phone restarts. When the phone restarts, those statistics / options disappear.
I bought the application from play store to see if it has added it but seeing that it seems the same, I returned it. That option Is it hidden and can be activated?, or is it not an option will be added?
I know what if the phone does not restart, if there are the options to measure from the full load or since it was unplugged, but when i restart the mobile, these options with their statistics disappear ...
Can it be avoided?
Thanks for help, regards.
(I used it in a rooted OP 7 Pro)
