Bug:
I have Filemanager´s (X-Plore, etc.) for open Audios, Videos files saved on internal memory. For opening use menu after tap where is apps for Audio or Video playing... Bug is: if tap on file for opening and select app for playing and tap on save this selection for next auto select app. Then if i open file another filemanager, or application use this "auto selection" and no show dialog for manual select application.
Autoselection is apply for all apps. Before this update is pair autoselection with one apps. Another apps is show dialog now for manual select aplication for open and autoselection in app where is atoselection i select last apply.
I using for any apps (filemenager´s and apps) no same for open apps.
Sorry my english is bad.

Any way to get any of the sony camera apps apk to work on this rom ? Because native camera app of cm is just horrible

Using Ben's builds since 28/01/2017 as my daily driver with daily OTA updates. Security patches from 05/02/2017, rockstable, no freezes, no reboots, no lags ( limited @1134 MHz ), Doze disabled, WiFi, BT, mobile data, Hotspot, adopted storage - EVERYTHING works as it should. Full compatible with "iSu", to hide CMroot. Tested for about 2 months now - bugfree.

NP. Follow this:
Rom has TWRP as FOTAKernel, ( primary, Vol+ during boot ) CMrecovery as secondary recovery ( Vol- during boot ). Go to "settings -> about phone -> LineageOS updates", download your update, wait for finish, click install -> phone will reboot to TWRP. Nothing happens there, now restart to system, wait, press Vol- during boot, CMrecovery will load now and your update will be installed.
2nd way:
Simply download your update, reboot to TWRP, choose your download location, install your .zip, done. Wipes are not needed, tested with and without wipes.

Hi @BenLue
thank you for keeping our yuga up to date.
there is something I wanna ask you
1. what is S3Root?
2. there is so much OTA update, so what's the different on each update?
3. do you have Z or blind build on making this rom?
sorry if my english is bad, and thank you so much for this rom.

good but not yet
Still no camera, laggy unlock screen and lots of random reboots.
Anyone tried 247? i think the bugs mentioned above still persist.
be patient guys, it's an alpha build...
I used fxp247 3 days, restart only once. and The camera is working fine
No bugs
Works PERFECT, no bugs so far for me. :good:
Much smoother and less unremovabloe bloatware than Beanstalk. Though also Beanstalk has some nasty modds that are awesome, but i guess it can all be installed/flashed if googled. And also beanstalk is way slower after TB restore all my apps.
Thank You FXP Team! Camera works perfectly. The ONLY bug i know so far, after installing last night is that camera button wont activate camera. Any fix for that? Or is there som specific forum/thread fo xperia zr cm11 rom Qs?

fxp250 released
https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/cyanogen-mod-11
Latest CM nightly stuck in endless bootanimation. Erased and wiped everything, reinstalled, again the same. Is it just me ?
Edit : couldn't get it to boot with any boot.img I tried from FXP or CM. Finally did with the one from BeanStalk. Sigh.
fxp251 is up
GoOd
Latest nightly with CM11.0 seems to be running very nicely. So far smooth experience with no bugs spotted. Only missing feature : when phone is off and you hold physical camera button, it should start the camera but it dosen't. Same thing when you're on the lock screen, physical button dosen't work there. However it does work on the homescreens and start up really well. Another thing, I flashed Google Dialer add-on. The Google Dialer worked properly but I kept on getting popup "com.android.phone" has stopped, especially when I wanted to change quick setting pulldown menu. Last thing, it identifies my device to be a Xperia Z not ZR and in device model it says my device is "C5503" but it actually is "C5502". Everything else seems to be going really well.
devs could you look at some of the outstanding issues...

A question Herr Walter:
Any chance that the kernel would work on other ROM, such as AOKP?
And, if yes, can this be made into a flashable zip?
Thank you for your input.
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk
Good to see this finally coming to the V. And no the kernel is not separable from the ROM so the kernel cannot be flashed onto another KK ROM.
As for reboots, there should be none - as with the T the new kernel should fix all instability issues.

Any chances you could provide a flashable zip that includes the kernel and those proprietary files you mentioned?
I'd be willing to give this a shot.

Tested this for a couple of hours.
Except the wifi/gps/camera bugs everything else seems to work fine with ART on.
The Omni switch is a really nice feature

It's not as simple as a quick kernel and props flash - the system depends on the kernel that is being compiled alongside - the entire ROM needs to be compiled along with the kernel or you'll get breakage.
this sounds promising...
is there anymore work planned on this rom? i would love to have omnirom...or ANY real custom ROM
I switched to kernel source from sony. Maybe i can compile new rom later. Camera is fixed some firmeware file were missing. Still problems with Wlan and GPS
I am back to omni kernel.
Wifi works now. http://d-h.st/XVF
Use wifi firmware from kernel / mint (xperia t)
check /system/etc/firmware/wlan and replace files with files from Xperia T omni.
Edit:
Recovery fixed: use this in bootrec-device
export BOOTREC_EVENT_NODE="/dev/input/event7 c 13 72"
export BOOTREC_EVENT="/dev/input/event7"
Next Camera and GPS.
both camera fixed.
next step fix gps.
edit:
gps works partial now. It did not work if you have enabled wifi

BSOD's are now as much as you should have on a stock rom, cause it is the same kernel. So rarely Should be really stable like I have on my Xperia T!
I have to update and test my source now. If everthing works well i will build a new test rom. Files from 9.2.A.1.210 official
I m back to omnirom kernel.
Kernel works well.

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] [5.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 for SM-N910F (trltexx), SM-N910G (trltedt)

As someone asked I'm opening this thread mostly for reference and for making the ROM visible, for questions and, why not, future updates
I'm not a developer, I'm just an Android enthusiast compiling from source.
Big thanks to our maintainers @gekkehenkie11 and @slayher, without all their work we wouldn't have any version of CyanogenMod on our Note 4s :good:
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Here you go!
That's my personal CyanogenMod build based on latest CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.1) code, from the 'cm-12.1' branch.
Everything is working (apparently) fine, just make sure to do a full wipe before flashing and, of course, using a 5.1 Gapps package.
I'll try providing regular updates till the official nightlies switch to the new branch.
Please report bugs and impressions about the ROM, it can be useful for other users interested in this ROM too.
#Download#***
Ok guys, official builds are now compiled every day by Jenkins, so my job ends here
Download folder with all the official nightlies
***Latest version: *17/04/2015*
Link to the folder with the ROM and MD5 checksum (download and put in the same folder as the ROM and recovery will check package integrity before flashing).
NOTE: LATEST RELEASE IS NOW ON MEGA:
Download folder on MEGA (mega.co.nz)
THIS IS THE FOLDER WHERE I USED TO PUBLISH BEFORE:
Download folder on Dev-Host (d-h.st)
By the way, I use these Gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2997368
Obviously you can use the Gapps from the Gapps provider you prefer, with the only restriction they need to be SPECIFICALLY for 5.1 (really, they changed the position of a few packages with the upgrade from 5.0.x so there's need of new scripts, or you'll break most apps).
#Changelog#Personal changelog (changes made by me or I think are relevant) relative to latest version available for download:
Code:
17/04/2015
- [STRIKE]Camera is completely fixed[/STRIKE] sadly not :'(
15/04/2015

- We're now on Android 5.1.0_r5 (LMY47O)

Initial release (only available on MEGA)
Here you can find CyanogenMod changelog (changes to source code pushed by developers):

#Flashing#- Full wipe (system, cache, data, dalvik cache)
- Flash the ROM package
- Flash the Gapps for Android 5.1 package(s)
- Reboot and enjoy!
#Updating#If you're coming from a previous build of cm-12.1:
- Caches wipe (cache & dalvik cache)
- Flash the ROM package
- (facoltative, depending if you previously installed Gapps and they had backup script) Flash the Gapps for Android 5.1 package(s)
- Reboot and enjoy!
If you're coming from cm-12.0 or even cm-11.0 you can try to do a dirty flash (not sure if it will work, CyanogenMod stated it's possible, anyway do a backup before trying!):
- Caches wipe + system wipe (cache, dalvik cache, system)
- Flash the ROM package
- (make sure you wiped system and downloaded new Gapps) Flash the Gapps for Android 5.1 package(s)
- Reboot and enjoy!
#Known bugs#- Camera sometimes stop working and shows "Can't connect to camera"
- Compass not working in Google Maps
- Flashlight toggle in QuickSettings not working
- Can't import contacts from local storage
- Can't restore SMS/MMS from backups
+ Almost all the bugs the official nightlies have
#FAQs#- "Can I install this on..."
No! It works just for SM-N910F and SM-N910G, installing this on anything else will bootloop or even worse.
- "Why does *a Google app name follows* FCs in background?"
CyanogenMod 12.1 is still quite unstable, hopefully we will get these Play Services bound apps fixed soon

Probably yes, I think you can even try upgrading from official 12.0 to this without wiping data, except for the Android base change there are no differences in CyanogenMod or device specific code.
Changes from 12.0 to 12.1
Can u give us the most noticeable changes please
-Kinda find it faster when opening the recent apps.
-The Bluetooth and Wifi shortcut from the notification bar is new.
-Some animations.
But everything else seems normal.
As I said there are no changes in CyanogenMod features, all the changes you see are related to the platform switch, just searching on Google "Android 5.1 changes" will answer your question.
Thanks Kylothow! ☺

OpenGapps choose ARM>7.1>micro/nano/pico (micro might still be too big... unless you use the custom install options that allows you not to install everything from the package)
Either way, you might want to further customize your installation (both gapps and system apps), refer to this tutorial
REMEMBER:
ONLY use TWRP 3.0.2-1 or up
/!\ Before installing, read post #3. /!\
HOW TO INSTALL
Requirements: Unlocked Bootloader, a Nougat compatible Custom Recovery and the Downloaded Zips.
NB: as with CM14.1, with a Lollipop compatible recovery like TWRP 3.0.2-0, you will get stuck to recovery, It is MANDATORY to update to 3.0.2-1.; the following error is still present : E:unknown command [log] but will not prevent install.
Place the rom and other like Gapps on the internal Storage or on a USB OTG
Reboot to recovery using the hotkey ( PowerOff+Vol- => With Vol- Go to Recovery => Select the recovery option with Vol+ )
Do Wipes (Data, Cache, Dalvik and System partitions) if you are in a different ROM.
Select the Zips
Swipe to install (if using TWRP)
Reboot and wait 2-3 min
HOW TO DIRTY UPDATE
Same as above, without the need of wiping of reflashing gapps.
HOW TO COME FROM CM13/14?
The Best practice way is to follow the clean install way.
BUT it is also possible to update from CM13/14 using an EXPERIMENTAL data migration build.
Here are the Official recommendations :
This build will allow you to ‘upgrade’ from CM to the signed LineageOS weekly
This build may wipe permissions (you’ll have to re-allow app permissions), but should retain all user data
This build will be watermarked with an ugly banner to ensure that you don’t permanently run this EXPERIMENTAL release, and upgrade to a normal weekly after.
The process for this installation will be as follows:
Install EXPERIMENTAL migration build on top of cm-13.0 or cm-14.1 build (don’t try to install LineageOS 13.0 on top of CM 14.1, that will not work).
Reboot
Install LineageOS weekly build
Reboot
Re-setup your application permissions
Given the EXPERIMENTAL nature of this process, we are going to remove this option in two months time.

As Always, DO A TWRP BACKUP before trashing your device!
Notes, Bugs, and miscellaneous.
Tips and notes:
When choosing a Gapps package ensure it can fit into /system when flashed.
Nano gapps package is recommended as it fits and provides everything in a base package you will need for gapps support. Then, you can install the other google apps from the store later on if needed.
Remember nightly builds are experimental: they can and will be broken from time to time. Always have a backup at hand.
To transfer files from/to PC when plugged in you will get the charging mode prompt status in the status bar, then click it to change from charging mode to transfer files.
Considering the quite low amount of Falcon users left over here, I'm not sure about making a full-sized FAQ;
For now, the following will take that purpose:
[SIZE=+1]Q1: Question?[/SIZE]answer [SIZE=+1]Q2: How to get Root?[/SIZE]
go to : https://download.lineageos.org/extras
and choose "su (arm)" download.
It's been a long journey since I brought this device... Thank you so much Dev for supporting my 4 years old device... Downloading... LineageOS for falcon... Fingers crossed...

Thanks

Basically, what worked on CM14.1 works on Lineage on this device, I didn't thoroughly tested it, but I didn't encounter much regressions after the migration (I performed the "Experimental" migration, to be in worse case scenario)
long live my (g)old device
ROM installed, so far so good, device performs as good as a brand new kick ass phone.
Keep up the good work!
Clean installed, seems to be good...

[ROM][F8331][Oreo][2017-10-13] SonyAosp Builds

Hi everyone. I'm compiling the SonyAosp repository of the official Sony AOSP branch for the XZ F8331 (Single SIM variant).
SonyAosp branch could be considered a bleeding-edge version of the Sony AOSP branch. It already includes GApps and Sony's Extended Settings.
Working:
* HSPDA
* LTE
* Camera (RAW SUPPORT!)
* Flash
* WiFi
* WiFi Tethering
* GPS
* Fingerprint
* Video playback
* Camera recording (tested up to 60fps)
* Reboot to Recovery
Issues:
* Latest builds have broken codec support. Replace media_codecs.xml
* Some video playback and recording has CPU stuttering issues based on codec. Change CPU Governor to OnDemand.
* Camera ISO detection doesn't seem to be working.
* Reboot to Bootloader sometimes fails
* Booting directly to Recovery sometimes fails
* Android Auto USB doesn't work.
Unknown:
* VoLTE
* WiFi Calling
* USB OTG

Please do not ask for support on untested versions.
Flash system.img and boot.img files with fastboot.
Copy vendor image with adb.
Weekly/Nightly builds and dedicated hosting coming as soon as I get my server running.

It's Oreo. XDA's DevDB setup doesn't include Android 8.x as an option yet.
good job
Any thing special about the recovery? It's in the instruction but i'd rather keep my setup

Not really. SonyAosp doesn't do anything special for recovery. I would just do kernel and system if you're coming from AOSP already.
Install without losing datas?
Is there a way to setup this up without losing all my datas and applications already installed on my rooted XZ with 7.1.1?
Thanks for your answers

You can try. Don't flash or wipe userdata. I strongly recommend a wipe though, especially if you're coming from stock.

Safe to use as a daily driver?
I've had to flash these gapps https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...b850aa7a37f94f1b433cedcc9a9aeb9581d3ca3feb5de to be able to use the rom.

Gapps is already included, so you shouldn't have to flash anything. What issues were you having forcing you to reinstall it?

I'm using it as daily driver. But trying to play or record video will make it slow down to a crawl after a few seconds until you stop. So if you watch YouTube videos, it may not be for you.

Without thèse Google apps the systemUI doesn't work. The notification panel is broken, also the home button.

Is there any way to install stock sony camera and enable 4k recording + slow motion?
Google Play have some issues for me, it won't download apps because of staying at "Waiting for download".

4K recording is working while using Open Camera no sure though regarding slow mo.
Solved the "Waiting for download" issue by installing the Gapp package linked in the posts above.
B.t.w. solved also the stuttering video playback and recording issue by applying Rudy's workaround

B.t.w. before I forgot, thanks CLshortFuse for cooking this rom :good: Looks really good so far, keep up the good work :victory:
PS aren't you also the guy behind one-click-root? If so, another big thank because that tool saved me for throwing away a locked Fire TV some while ago
