I think so.
In any case it's always nice seeing development on our device, everything matters really.

Holy crap my favorite opo roms thanks!

I can't sign into any Google accounts, trying to set up Validus. Using 3/30 stock Happened, and am on b19 bootloader and modern. Thinking that shouldn't be the problem, because I've tested several Roms this week, and haven't had any trouble so far.

I'm having the same issue with Validus. Im using a A2017U with b19 bootloader and was flashing from AICP. Also, settings crashes when I try to change the display size at the welcome screen. I restored my backup and will test out one of the others later tonight.

If you flashed the A2107U Modem referenced in the OP, can you please tell me the Baseband version shown under Settings|About phone? Thanks.
Edit: So I flashed the A2017U Modem in the OP and still show a 00090 Baseband with my Android 7.1.1. I was expecting the 00095 Basdband.

Hey guys, after playing around a little, I managed to compile PA for the i9300! Anyway, I don't have any changelog as such
Story:
At first I'd successfully managed PA to officially support the i9300, but since the developer who replaced me would really listen to anybody and continued building with Nameless sources, which led to seriously messed up builds, which in turn made PA drop support for i9300, I decided to step in and provide unofficial support for the i9300 (Again). So enjoy!
Features:
Theme Engine (Not available in 5.1 Alpha 1, available in the newer build)
Bugs:
Video Playback
Android File Host
Basketbuild
Now Basketbuild
Thanks to:
The awesome PA team!

Awesome dev
OH MY GOD! you're awesome, thanks a lot for this rom!
Awesome, thanks a lot!
Some screenshots please or review
Seeing all these people taking care of our i9300 and brining unofficial builds to us makes me really happy
Thanks will download and test
Oh yes ! I will test it !
I will test this too! Great job! ???
My favorite rom,on my S3. U.U
Downloading.
Thanks!
but i think that i will wait for it to be more in development.
The wake up from home butten, and probably other things as this is an alpha version.
BUT, as always, its good to see roms for our device. keep up the good work.
will definitely try this out when it go on a little.
It is happening!!! I know this day would come!! Love PA, downloading now. I'll post my experience later on! Thank you, so far.
Edit 24/02/2014 12:19 GMT -4 (Almost 48 hours after flash)
I've flashed it together with Boeffla-Kernel NG CM12, SuperSu Update 2.45, and Micro PA Gapps. Wifi works, Mobile Data, Camera and GPS either. I've not tested anything else. Only bug found is that TRIM is not working, but I dont know the future implications of it.
It is good for daily use, but some apps, as Mozilla Firefox and Facebook present FCs...
Wow i didn't expect this so soon for our device
great to see PA here
will see how it goes, will certainly try it very soon :good::good:

Edit 1 (22/02/2014 - 18:58 GMT -4)
I've just flashed it, together with Boeffla-Kernel NG CM12, SuperSu Update 2.45, and Stock PA Gapps. It is very laggy. Don't know if it is only me, or is normal. Any help would be appreciated.
Aside from it, Wifi works, Mobile Data and GPS either. I've not tested anything else.
Edit 2 (22/02/2014 - 21:09 GMT -4)
New clean flash, using the same kernel, SuperSu, but with the Nano-Gapps, seems to have improved performance. Only bug found is that TRIM is not working, wich may cause future problems, as slowdowns, lags and crashes. Camera is buggy, as always.

I tried the app and get some PIE error.
The so mentioned "PIE" is the very reason CM dropped support for old devices apparently
Congratulations on the build
I am curious.
Why did you choose to use the boeffla defconfig to build the kernel? Why not use the cm12/nameless/omni/slim stock kernels?
That would probably make the rom boot with stock kernel. Users who want boeffla can simply flash over the kernel aftwerwards, which they have to do now as well

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Sorry, I made a mistake
Just clarifying: This rom inherits the same bugs CM13 by k2wl.
SIM issue, 2G / 3G issue. etc.
Who needs to use two services (SIMS) will have problems. Who needs 2G (???) will have problems. I could not test it with more time because the Smart in which it was installed is not mine.
rom is good but with cm related bugs.
to use 3g phone must be in 3g on one sim before flashing rom. After that can't be changed anymore.

Same here, I noticed that somehow Substratum runs in legacy mode which is kinda weird since it's mentioned that the ROM has OMS support.
But nevertheless the ROM is awesome, no doubt about that!
One more thing....
Any chance Ambient Display could be fixed? Although it'd be quite tough since no ROM for our device ever had working Ambient Display except for a build of crDroid by Bigbing. But keeping Ambient Display enabled on that ROM never let the device go into deep sleep.

Finally a proper RR build not requiring post flashing any fixes. I was asked to do it many times so thanks for doing for the community what I didn't.
Helium patch just in case.

Sometimes the signal indicator isn't visible
Just one question regarding flashing here:
Is it necessary to change the install-script or is this ROM one that can be flashed directly on a Helium?
Some Hydrogen ROMs do a check and return a TWRP error unless the first row in the script are changed (i.e. Hydrogen check removed).

Sounds like the traditional install-script issue. Perhaps one option would be to remove this part of the script from the Hydrogen ROM so it can be flashed on both devices without further modification.

You need to modify the update-script and change all the hydrogen to helium
Okay, cause I can't help you guys on that patch thing, helium is now officially in. Nothing to patch/change or modify, just flash, and download further updates over OTA, you'll get a notification when new builds are up.
I got pity with the helium guys
@ajsmsg78: Nevertheless, big thx for your work. Now you can be more relaxed with your decision to leave
Finally! Thank you all for making this possible!
Thank you very much for the Helium build. Your effort is highly appreciated and two ✌ for everything (two thumbs up).

I am downloading the Helium build right now. Will dirty flash over the 20170707 ajmsg78 build. Will report back when everything is done.
One question: Should I flash the Zola III scripts or are they included (considering the @njiel8 base)?

I'm not into flashing kernels. I don't know if that's the same with ViperOS', its when the ambient display comes on and you have to double tap to go to the lockscreen unlike other roms I've tried. Since ViperOS was discontinued I'd be happy to switch to this rom if it'll get updated to oreo.
Have you fixed the random reboot problem? That is in almost all ROMs but no in andersonmendes builds
@Flipz77 how did you get mokee 8.1 to boot?

I flashed pop kernel with it and finally the error screen in Chinese disappeared.
About the freezes and reboots, I was getting them on Anderson builds and I'm still getting them now ;(
