Samsung keyboard autocorrect has always been an issue for me. I get Judy instead of just every single time, to name the worst offender

Keyboard ghosting?

Is anybody's keyboard ghosting? I'm using the stock gingerbread keyboard. The weird thing is that it only happens with the keyboard, nowhere else. And it's kind of infuriating when I'm trying to text someone and it just adds random letters in. What's going on?
Yes. I took my first one back to the store. My second one does it also. Rebooting works.

I had the same problem the first time i started the phone. I found the issue for me is doing long text messages. Im worried this will piss me off to the point of returning it.

ghosting
Had the same issue when I first got it, rebooting did make it go away for a 3 days, but it came back with a vengeance and the "physical" keys bricked. Took it to the store and they replaced. No-problems since.

[Q] Screen Ghosting

So I have a huge screen ghosting "problem", its most noticeable on the texting app, or when exiting out of the amazon app also you can see the amazon logo on the top of the screen fade out for a good 20 seconds. I called LG to ask if this was normal and they said no, I've read in some places that everyone has this problem though.
Do you guys see this problem on yours?
It is a known issue...it's worse for some than it is for others ...search the forum, there's ways you can reduce the ghosting effect.

I got my flex just over a month ago and I searched these forums about the Ghost issue ( never knew it had an unofficial name ). would you be so kind as to point me to a thread addressing this issue. mine is VERY noticeable and VERY annoying for such a cool phone. thanks in advance!

answering calls difficult

Seems my swipe to answer takes anywhere from 3 to 5 swipes before it will actually answer the call. Is this an isolated thing or are others having the same issue? Missed plenty of calls because of it.
No issues answering calls at all for me.

Some difficulties here, just have to make sure to hit it exactly on mine.

Are there any hardware buttons that answer like the power button can end?

I rest my finger on the answer before swiping. Works better That way. Have seen the same issue.

I find this problem on every Android phone I ever owned, touched or played with.
I changed it to Home Button to answer the call,it's a lot better (you can change in ACCESSIBILITY).
Resting my finger on the answer slider for a split second seems to be helping. Kind of annoying that I have to do this on a brand new phone but what can I do...thanks guys
Hold your finger on the answer button until the green ring gets larger, then swipe.

I think this is a pocket guard feature if your phone is facing your leg. Just my two cents. Don't think it can be disabled.

your right on with that answer, there is about a 500 millisecond delay for swipe to answer in order to prevent the accidental answering of a call while its in your pocket/purse/briefcase etc. this can be modified by changing some smali code in the incallui.apk (i believe) but i wouldnt recomend it.
i find my phone calling people from time to time. when i take it out of my pocket. lol.. dont think the feature is helping me t all.

Gap between camera and logo

Hello everyone
There's something bugging me with my X. When I press between the camera and the Motorola logo I can feel it go a bit down. Also, it makes a really annoying sound. I noticed this while playing Asphalt 8.
Is this normal?

You're not alone
I have AT&T bamboo version, and I can confirm; yes, I experience this as well. While I doubt it's INTENDED, it's at least somewhat common, and I'm sure it doesn't speak too strongly about the quality of your individual device. I had no idea about it until i tried, and had to press somewhat strongly for the effect to be achieved.
Now keep enjoying one of the best smartphones out there right now, and stop worrying about the silly imperfections :highfive:
Solution: don't push down on that spot anymore.

It doesn't happen on mine. But I have choose regular black back, no wood or leather.

Mine does the same thing and I have the leather back. It pushes down a bit and makes a squeek. It seems normal.
Thx guise!
Guess I'd better stop worrying about then.

Why has every Samsung phone Ive ever had show me as driving sideways?

When using google maps in location mode and not navigation mode, the physical phone will always be pointed straight ahead in the direction of travel, but the arrow icon will be pointing off to the side as if I'm driving sideways. I used an iPhone last month and it was much more accurate.

That has happened to me on previous phones and havent checked it out on this phone yet. But i did a quick search and seems like an easy fix. https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6145351?hl=en
Let me know if its fixed.
You need to calibrate the compass

could be something magnetic in the car, if every phone does it, but never seen it myself, so pure speculation.
Magnetic case or holder may affect compass and stylus operation.
