Are you planning to upgrade ? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

So the OP5 is coming soon, we have few leaks about it but are you thinking about an upgrade ? Or you will keep this beast for one/two more years ?

I just got mine yesturday so i plan on keeping it till at least the 6 comes out.

I'll upgrade if the specs are good. 2k screen with a good camera and easily unlockable with good dev support. If not I'll get a new different phone either the international Note 8 version with unlocked bootloader or the new Pixel.

Just saw the news said they drop support for the op2. Hope OnePlus won't drop the software update support on op3t. Otherwise I will use 3t until op6 comes out.

Nah, I´m really happy with the change from a Nexus 6P to the 3T. The only downside is the camera at night and to be honest with myself I don´t use the camera enough to justify an upgrade. I love the 1080 screen, 6gb ram (especially at the beta, app management is the best on any android phone I´ve experienced). And regarding android upgrades, as long as i get security patches I´m happy. Google seems to f#ck things up more and more along the road..

I didn't buy 3T to upgrade it just after the next gen comes. Like seriously, the purpose of all those specs like 6GB of RAM is to last long and endure technological evolution process as well.
BTW I had an opportunity to get my hands onto S8 recently and even for free I wouldn't swap these devices even though 3T is from the previous generation of flagships (which apparently means nothing in this case).

I have the 3T since January. No reasons to upgrade. I'll keep it for 2 years, I hope.

not yet, unless the OP5 is groundbreaking

Maybe

Oh I'm upgrading but def not to the OP5. Probably gonna grab an S8+ pretty soon and then the Note 8 when it comes out. I only buy OPs if I need a new phone and there's nothing out that interests me. They are great interim phones, for sure.

If it'll be under 500€ i'll buy it

Im going to go with a solid maybe. Normally i dont buy phones for cameras. Never have never will. but im very interested in this things camera, those picture samples leaked are SOOOOOOO damn good looking. Normally id reach for my nikon but holy moly the detail. You know youve got a good camera if you can see the scales on a strawberry. The 835 sounds amazing 6gb ram is super useful and if that new leak is true with the 30 minute full charge on dash, thats a buy right there just for the charging feature. My lord-y thats just smartphone bliss right there. Forget battery banks imagine what you can get in a 5 minute charge. Theyll change the tag line to a whole days power in a 10th of an hour.

But if the camera is the only *major* upgrade, while you still consider buying it or you will just keep the 3T ?

Its a low chance that is the only major upgrade. They will definitely be using the 835 or hopefully even thr 850 if its delayed enough.

They've already confirmed it will use snapdragon 835. That's about a 10% performance increase over snapdragon 821.

I do belive that the 5 is a good idea. Im sure they way they use the 835 it will be more than 10%

I've owned alot of phones in my time, but the OP3t is hands down my favorite. The OP5 is gonna have to bring a lot more then just a camera upgrade for me to drop 500 bucks on it.

If the price is between $400 & $450, I'll buy immediately. If it's qHd I'll buy immediately, below $600. If the materials are new (ceramic) I'll buy immediately.
If not, I'm going to wait and see what the Note looks like. Or the Mate.
I love this phone and only got it in March or something.

What's your next device? Note 7 or something else?

I'm assuming a lot of you are like me, and have had the Note 4 close to 2 years now- close to paid for... wondering if anyone is considering getting a Note 7 or something else and why?
I was all excited about upgrading to a Note 7 but the limited research I've done based on the S7 is the bootloader will probably be locked meaning no root, no roms, etc... so now I'm not sure if I just stick it out a while long with my Note 4 or look elsewhere for another device? (nexus ###?)
Comments appreciated.

It's a pain in the butt shopping for where to go from the Note 4. Where, oh where, is it's successor? I so hate the idea of a non-replaceable battery. Maybe, if it wouldn't be too grueling to take my next "sealed" phone apart to replace the dang thing. The next big screen Nexus? Arrrgggghhhhhh!
Well if I didn't just post a lengthy reply to a similar question in the Intl. forum! (In fact I did; this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/moving-to-flagship-t3404126 my ramblings are the first post on page 4 ) Bullet points:
* I think the Note 4 is (still, 2 years in) a great device and I plan on keeping mine after making my last few payments. It will be a super fancy universal IR remote... ...among other things Definitely no shortage of ways to repurpose an old/extra Android device.
* I really hope the upcoming Nexus has expandable storage... I could see that happening this year with Google's "adoptable storage" (and other OEM's failing to... adopt it ) It's equally possible that I just really want that to happen. Either way, if it does, the larger screen version will be my next phone.
* The Note 7 looks beastly and if it doesn't have a locked bootloader I might go for it. The thing is, I'd really like to avoid buying anything from TMO aside from service... ya know, "vote with my wallet" against their abysmally late updates. I have a "new" Tab S2 TMO variant that's now the only model of that tablet that hasn't been updated to MM yet, making it as well as my N4 dead last (including other carriers) to receive the 10 month old OS. No way I can throw down up front for a $$$ N7 though, and I did do a couple of exchanges with the TMO insurance that were super easy, so bootloader unlocked = maybe, locked = not. a. chance. (not that I'd ever pay money for a "computer" that locks me out from self-administration, but particularly since I trust TMO 0% wrt updates and may need to handle that myself.)
* Option 3 = ??? Hoping to find the following: strong/friendly development community, expandable storage, >= 5.5" quality display, standard headphone port (IMO it's ridiculous that dropping this is becoming "a thing" w/o a superior replacement), and "good" battery life. Hopefully not asking too much in 2016, sure was in 2015.
Currently leaning towards a Nexus I suppose... not really in any rush to move on from the N4. Oh and definitely agree @steven.m - sealed battery = planned obsolescence but (clearly) any phone without a completely impractical metal unibody is simply not "PREMIUM" enough for... something something... of today! Note that a removable battery isn't even on my "wish list"... I was trying to make it realistic
I'll keep this N4 until it's dead. Then I'll most likely look at Nexus, HTC or Moto devices. About the only thing I'll miss is the WiFi calling.

Xiaomi Mi Max for me
Xiaomi Mi Max 6.5 inches of Android goodness, plus removable battery and sd card support. Samsung has iphoned their way out of my hands. If I wanted a iphone I would have bought a iphone, but such is life. Wife has s7 edge and she keeps telling me it is the worst phone she has ever owned. With that in house review why would I buy a Note 7?

I'll have to look that model up- I don't know Xiaomi, but maybe I will get to know them. :highfive:
Edit: Hmmm.... love the size of the screen, but not QHD.... and battery not removable. Close, but I dunno.

Yes, and the capacity can be battery capacity can be maximised this way since they don't have to make provisions for the battery to be removed.
I think I'm done with Samsung for now. Waiting for the Note 4 MM update this long and the fact that they basically abandoned the Galaxy Tab Pro six months after they released it have really turned me off.
I think I'll be trying one of the 'upstart' manufacturers. I've been considering the Huawei Mate line for a while now, but their software has always been a drawback (but at least they update it). Now I've been reading that they are making software and their EMUI skin a priority as they attempt to break into the US/NA market. I look forward to seeing what they've got. Also, T-Mobile specific versions of any phone seem to not get nearly as much development, which is understandable. But I think I'll get an unlocked international phone next time.
I will be keeping my Note 4 (just like I still have my Note 3) for use with the virtual reality headset that I will be getting. It still has enough processing power and a very good screen resolution for that type of activity.
I'm thinking about the zenfone 3 ultra 6.8inch monster lol
The note 7 isn't on my radar, I too am think of going with a nexus if it has a memory card slot but all of this won't be for a while as I just traded in my s7 ( which was part of bogo ) and got my note 4 back that I jumped about 6 months ago. I missed it so much I will keep it for ever, even after its paid off. I also have the s7 edge which just became rootable so I might play with it for a while but it's my work phone and I have until November before I can jump again but it won't be a Sammy phone. I don't really like the s7 edge as those edges are a real nightmare unless you have a case on it you will have accidental touches that will drive you crazy. I'll hold on to my note 4 until next year and then start looking.
I didn't realize the s7 had been rooted

I have the Honor 5x which is from Huawei also., bought it a few months to test, for $200 premium looking, metal casing, 2 sim slots and external sd... but no removable battery and we are supposed to get MM any day now..
but yes I think I want a google phone, but it has to have external sd, maybe I can deal with non removable battery, but who knows. and they better start lowering prices of phones, they would sell more and sell every year selling at about $500.. that's just me thinking out load.. :silly:
because I have my father in law had the S2 very outdated and giving him problems.., so off went my note 3 which was my sons, so he plays with it,
I started with HTC, had almost every single phone till the M7, then moved to Samsung from S2, S3, Note 2, 3, 4.. and on the Notes had 2 of each, for me and my wife.. also with the M7.. I have paid to much on phones and then they don't take care of the updates which the dev do it better than Samsung is very disappointing since manufacturing them is really under $200 coming from the take downs of the devices.. way to much profit, then they expect us, to buy new phones every year...
try to return a new phone u buy in T-Mobile, they offer u half of less after 3 or 4 months then they sell it back as certified phones for double than what they paid getting it back from you... really sucks..
remember a phone is for making phone calls......
I have a pc, laptop,
2 tablets Samsung as well, and they stop with the updates after a year. u get lucky maybe give it a year 2 or 3 months...
super surprised about this MM update on our phones giving that we are almost on our 2 year.. very surprised, guess they are trying to say we will support them longer... remember Note 4 came with KitKat, then Lollipop, and now MM... wow....
darn even apple updates the phones till the older phones can't except the updates to slowing it down or not enough space left..
opps rambling, let me stop... haha
This is a good question I guess it depends on if note 7 comes with 820 or something better I won't buy a 820 phone there are cheaper options with same processor. Im thinking Nexus. But if note 7 has 4000mah battery it may get my money. My last 2 Samsung phones have had bad gps

I am getting to the point where I can no longer justify spending $650-700 on a phone. You're right, there are so many decent options now for half the price.
I'm waiting to see what the Nexus phone phones are like this year. I'm hoping they'll have a nice premium phone this year. The 6P was a nice start. HTC may kick it up another notch. Rumors are that Google wants a phone that will directly compete with the iPhone. Well see if that happens. I've had only Samsung smartphones (Galaxy S, Note 2, note 4, galaxy light). It's time for something different
Jeez the note 7 is going to be almost 1000.

Agreed... but then again, do I have enough time to monkey around with ROMs again? Realistically - no. If I get an Android device again, I'm just going to have to get the latest Nexus. I'm tired of TW and trying to hack things to make them behave like I want them to...( I'm looking at you NFC icon ).

HTC 10 vs OnePlus 3t

My phone's battery is running out from 100 to 0 in 10 minutes or so and I need to be next to a charger 100% of the time...
I really need a new phone and thought about the OnePlus 3t and HTC 10... (Both are about the same price in Israel)
I need a phone with an awesome battery life and camera, good display, performance and build quality... Do you have any suggestions? And if not any of these phones, which phone do you recommend?
Any one?
Well, my opinion is very biased, since I chose the OP3T. But I was a loyal HTC fan, and this is my first smartphone that isn't an HTC (after owning 5 different HTC phones).
The main discriminators for me were price (OP3T is $439 US versus $599 for the HTC10) and the fact that the 10 felt like "last generation" to me. It's true that the OP3T is really only a half a year/generation newer. But the 10 really did feel like last years model to me, with the U and U Ultra coming soon.
My last phone is the HTC M9, going on 3 years old now. So for me, the OP3T is a big upgrade. It's blazing fast, takes really nice photos, and the AMOLED screen is beautiful. Now the downsides are the screen resolution (probably only an issue if you want to do VR), lowlight photos (although I've been doing fine, and I take a lot of pics of my kids) and no SD card slot (for now, the 64 GB version is fine - or you can go for the 128 GB version).
The battery life on the OP3T has also been impressive. Plus, with the included Dash charger, it charges really fast.
The 10 is a nice phone as well. I think all you really gain (versus the OP3T) is more audio/music centric features, and an SD slot. Although the OP3T speakers still sound pretty good, even with a single bottom firing speaker.

Honestly, get the HTC 10. It recently became available here in Germany for the same price as the 3T and if I'd haven't bought the 3T a month ago, I'd have chosen the HTC.

I never understood why people keep asking what phone should they buy. Most people just buy their phones only to be seen by other people what a great phone they have. Personally, I buy the phone that I like the looks of it and which fits my needs. And that`s how I got my OP 3T. Before buying it, I`ve seen some reviews which 90% were pretty good for me. The things I wanted most were amazing performance, battery that gets me through 1 day, fast charging, a stock android with a lot customize options. OP 3T has all of them. Have to mention that I had the chance to buy S7 Edge and HTC 10 at around 400 euros. But again, 3T had all the things I need, so I went for it.
Its sad to buy things just to have the best one from the market. Its not like you buy a Buggati Veiron, just to have the fastest car in your city. Same goes for the phones. Just buy whatever you like most and whatever fits your daily needs. If you want performance, go for OP3T, S7,S7 edge, htc 10, Moto Z and so on. If you want photography, go for Moto Z and buy yourself the camera mods, and so on. its very simple

I really not looking for best in market...
I just think that the 10 is better for me and I don't know if I'm right
I need a very (very) good camera
A very good battery
A good performance
A decent screen (at least 400 PPI)
And decent build quality
What phone do you think will be the best for me?
(It will be nice to have OLED display, usb-c, 4+- ram, and SD slot if less than 64 GB)
depends what you want I've gone from a Mi5 128GB to a OP3T and not sure if I regret it or not, the size is a pain for me, yes it's great for media, but daily use on the move the smaller size of the Mi5 was awesome.
Both great phones, but for different reasons.

Well, they aren't the same price for me. And I'm not a big fan of making that judgment, based on a hypothetical situation that doesn't exist for me.
They are both very solid phones, and there is no reason to feel "stupid" in any case. Everyone has different preferences and opinions on what constitutes the "best" for them. So at the end of the day, the only "right" or "wrong" decision lies with you, not what others think.

I had some reservations about moving to a larger screen/phone myself. But honestly, now that I have the OP3T, I'm really liking having a bit larger screen. Not just for video, but for web browsing, and other things. As long as it fits in my pocket, who cares if its a bit bigger? I seriously think I've have trouble going back to a smaller screen at this point.

should i buy a one plus 3t? or wait for 5?

are you guys enjoying the 3t? worth every penny? will u upgrade to the next one plus this year? is it worth waiting?
As long as they continue to update the 3t the way they are, I'll be keeping mine for a while. Phone works great, looks great and I'm experiencing great battery life on the stock rom
I'm simply in love with mine. It has AMOLED display, hardware that secures future, good camera.
This can be told about many phones, but... Do they have so frequent software updates? Beta twice a month! Actually, developers are listening to people's opinions (obviously can't listen to everyone).
From what I've seen, many people who changed their phones from s7e/nexus to OP3T are really content with it.
Battery life is another great thing, it easily goes through a day and charges so quickly!
If you don't need a new phone urgently, you might as well wait for the next OnePlus phone. As much as we don't want to face it, OnePlus is likely going to put development for the 3/3T on the back-burner once the next generation of phones are released (looking at you, OP2). That said, the OP3/T is certainly an excellent device and worth its current price.
yeah its a killer phone. id get one. just did in fact.

I upgraded from the S7 edge to the 3t (like 2weeks ago) and I love this phone. Way ahead of the game, not a single particle of lag. That said, I will probably upgrade once the 5 comes out; as I love having the latest tech, but yeah. Getting this phone right now was worth it for me.
Upgraded from 6p and really like it!,
Just 2 features i really miss front stereo speakers and camera everything else is perfect for me
Best supported phone ive ever owned. Even with the nexus one, support from google still doesnt compare to oneplus.

Is that whats happened to oneplus 1 and 2?
Uhm, no idea.
I justified spending 400+ EUR on the 3T, because I thought at the time that I'm going to keep it for at least two years. And now I'm tempted to upgrade to the 5, because fsck yeah, this phone is awesome, can't wait for the next model. I'll just give this to someone in the family.
I looked to upgrade to something else but seriously - there's nothing else out there. It's at the top of it's game. Get it now, or if not in hurry for a few months. Wait.
Rumor
There is a rumor on OP 5 that it has a ceramic/glass back. Well if you don't wanna break it then...
Nothing official so.....
I still love the block type metal of the OP 3T so it is my ideal choice
When does one plus release its device?. Is it in August?..

It's all just rumor at this point. No announcement yet. And manufacturers usually don't tip their hand too early. Doing so would not only potentially damage the sales of the current device, but also may give their competition an edge.
I've seen some stories around that state that Samsung is buying up all the Snapdragon 835 supply. And being the Android market juggernaut, most (all?) other manufacturers are going to have to wait to get the 835. This alone may cause OnePlus to delay a launch.
The OP3T is amazing and I think OP5 will be even more. If you aren't in a hurry, would be nice to wait.
OP3t is a great device. Even if OP stops updates at nougat, the dev support will continue.
Look at the OPO, it has perfect nougat ROMs that are current. The OP3t will continue on with devs, cause it's a solid built device (as was the OPO). The OP2 had no nfc and the crap 810 cpu, and still solid on dev support.

I currently have a Note 5 and am looking to pick up another device for some additional R00T fun. My ONLY concern is the 1080p screen. I know this sounds absurd but we've been spoiled with 1440p. Can you really actually see a noticeable difference?

I understand you haha. I was a little worried myself, as a lot of people hyped it "down" .
Honestly, Samsung has the best screens any phone manufacturer can have. Comparing both, I noticed that the colors looked better on the S7 edge, and that the S7's screen gets brighter. Are those deal breakers? Absolutely not. The screen is great and 1440 p is not different compared to 1080p .
It'll definitely take the screen downgrade for a absolutely lagfree device. It's been almost 2 weeks and not a single app, or animation has lagged. Also battery life is great. Damn I still feel like I'm not using this device to its full capabilities lol
With how things are going, they seem to have found the hardware they really love, so they're developing their software now. I think they want to love their software as much as their hardware, so they may be sticking with the 3t. Look how many special editions are coming out, they got an otterbox deal and they acrually ship on time now.

If you want to use some vr hardware, then yes, 4k is better. Otherwise 1080p is faster to drive, and uses less power. So it's a trade-off.
I would get it definitely. Well i already did actually. Great phone I love it definitely worth the money and had a great supporting dev community. And if your worried about oneplus stopping updates it's no big deal cause there a lots of custom roms for this phone and there is a great community surrounding it.

Note 9 quick charge

I can't believe Samsung again made this phone with the same old 2.0 QC Wtf? No finger print scaner in the display. Same old design as last years model and only 2.0 QC and only Android 8.0 what a shame. The only pro is a bigger battery that's it. I don't care about the camera or the BT S Pen.
Then don't buy it, it's a simple as that. There's really no need to create a topic under Questions and Answers rambling about how much the phone is a disappointment to you.
if it wasnt for Samsung pay, I would not buy Samsung. where's the F is LG pay ?

Great points, spoken like a true juvenile. Mad? Not at all. I was merely stating the fact that you posted in the Question & Answer section and what you submitted was neither a question nor an answer. Maybe next time try posting in the Guides, News and Discussions sub forum. Regardless, I don't care nor will bother reading any other useless rants you decided to post going forward. Save those for your social media followers as I'm sure you have a legion of people who are so eager to read your opinion on the Note 9.
this phone charges in ~1h40min from 0% to 100%, and after 30mins charging i have ~50%, good enough for me
Lol @ charging speeds. ?
Phone charges plenty fast. Lasts 2 days sometimes.

The 9 smashes the note 8 off the planet for many reasons. 512gb storage, faster, smoother, more battery life, more ram, better screen, much much better audio and speakers, better camera. I am sure there are more reasons. Note 8 sucks so bad.

512gb? I don't even use my 64gb or my 256gb card in my note 8. Better screen? Barely better speakers yes not a big deal. Camera I could care less about I take about 1 pic a year. Better battery Ok. That's it for 1,000 dollars? Wow and it looks exactly like my phone. I would take a design change in a fingerprint scanner in display over all that other stuff that you just mentioned
You don't have to try to convince me that it's an upgrade worth $1,200 from the Note 8 cause it's not. Also multiple phones are about to drop with Android 9.0. The Note 9 will get 9.0 in about another year good luck
Samsung threw a couple of low end features in the Note9 because they didn't want a repeat of the S9 flop. You know the reason why it flopped was because it looked exactly like the S8 like the Note 9 does.
The Note 9 is a money grab phone for Samsung. They just put that out fast to focus on the 10 which will have all the features the Note9 should have.
it's ridiculous to charge 1000$ for a phone with outdated technology quick charge 2.0
that's like buying a 70000$ sport car that goes 0-60 in 8 seconds. WTF

I see it as a sports car that goes plenty fast and 40 mpg. QC 2.0 is fine. I don't want my sealed battery getting hot and bothered for 2 years. Some of us aren't renting phones for a year to get the next big thing.
I'm plenty happy with mine. Yes, this is what the Note 8 should have been last year. But since I got the Note 8 more than half off due to the previous Note 7 fiasco, it was a no brainer to trade the 8 in to take advantage of the latest promo for the 9. It's looks are not improved, but boy its performance sure is!

no single iteration is worth the full price to upgrade to. no need to have anyone convince anyone else of this fact.
now since you won't be upgrading, goodbye.
Dude. Why did OP start a post whining about QC 2.0 then half the replies to his post are him grasping at straws dissing the note9. Weird. Many facts were known about note9 and people are still buying it. Yes it is pricey. But Samsung finally pulled off an iterative update with minor details to perfect the minor flaws. Many of us have not been paying full price with trades or leases. I for one paid full price and don't regret it because of how close to perfect this phone is. Probably last time I pay this much for a flagship though. Hardware and software have been getting so good it would be ludicrous going forward to not wait a few months for price to come down and OEMs egos and greed to be put in check.
(As an aside, it might be possible we could see Made in Africa soon. There are already items like clothes and minor things being made there. China has developed enough that they're looking for cheaper labor and have been investing in Africa. I have mixed feelings on this but the West neglected their relationship and China has been putting schools there. I mention this because you should keep an eye on it for so many reasons. I don't know if China will move smartphone factories there but they are putting cell and smartphones in the hands of Africans which will have an effect that is hard to predict. Waiting to see Africans speaking Mandarin become common.)

I'm getting about 50 percent better battery life. It's faster, massive memory, more ram and has more features which I will use. It isn't a clone it's an upgrade. If you dont want to upgrade then dont if you cant afford to then too bad, get a better job. Dont come on forums crying and calling people suckers who want to and can afford to upgrade if they want to. I had the 4 the 7 the 8 and now the 9. I will be due a network upgrade when the 10 is out and I'll be getting that too.
Can't afford it please I can buy you and 10 Note 9s if I so please. I don't buy phones that are thrown out there. You me and every one else was expecting much more from the Note 9 so don't act like it's just me. I will wait for the real upgrade 10. Price doesn't concern me when it's worth it. You know another company that puts out phones that look exactly alike and hold back features Apple why? Because they can get away with it and so will Samsung as long as suckers like you buy these phones.

They have been doing the same thing for years. Innovate, refine, innovate, refine. If you thought that the note 9 was going to be some radical concept then you're a silly boy.

I'm bracing myself for rma hell, touch sensitive, ghost touch, camera, stuttering, battery, heating and overall quality control issues. Hope it's a worthy replacement to my 512gb midnight black note 9 which has been flawless. Looking forward to giving my final verdict.

Only reason is for no notch and larger display. I upgrade when new notes or galaxy phones come out with larger displays then previous but since note 10 has a notch oneplus only other option. If the 7 pro is good I don't see a need to upgrade for a long time because the display cant get any bigger now. So I hope it doesn't disappoint since I've been happy with Samsung.

Thats fair. But I'm not a oneplus fanboy and I'm sure some other people might appreciate a more critical review.
you have to like the OnePlus 7 Pro for its bootloader unlock potential
Bootloader unlock and unobstructed screen are the best two points of the OnePlus 7 Pro, IMHO. If you live in the US, buying Samsung flagships is frustrating due to bootloader locked Snapdragon variants. If you focus on the positive benefits of the OnePlus 7 Pro, you'll be satisfied.

Me neither. Also will appreciate a more critical review, just not yours. You gave a long lists of reasons in your previous thread to not buy it without ever having held the device. So why should your review carry any weight?
Samsung S2,S6,S7e,S8+ user and this was the only device that swooned me away from Samsung. You're gonna love it. (With some minor withdrawals if you enjoyed some of the Samsung add-ons)
Also, don't approach the purchase with negativity, but with anticipation.

Most of the critical reviews were on the release and 9.5.3 FW's. Since the 9.57 the issues people compalined about are gone. No ghost touches (I never had them) and the camera is right there with the Pixel phones now and should actually get a little better still with future updates. The IP rating (most useless thing to cry about) and the Wireless charging (isn't needed, somethign to just cry about) are 2 "features" that aren't needed. I don't have womens hands so it's not that much bigger then some of the other phones out there and the weight is about the same as the Note's and the IPhone Max's weight.
IF those reviewers did a second review after the 9.5.7 update most are completely on board now and don't have anything to complain about.
Bracing for stuttering ?? And your coming from a note 9. That's priceless ??

The thing is they almost doubled the price for this phone. I'm wondering how much loyal people will be if they keep increasing the price with each successor. I had the first oneplus phone on release. For the price it was ahead of their time. They should of fixed all the bugs before releasing this one because people's expectations are higher now especially since they loose their value fast.
I just bought my oneplus 6T a few months ago for 550. Last month I upgraded to my OnePlus 7 pro for 669 with 8 gigs of Ram and 256 Gb of UFS 3.0 memory. I paid about 150 more. So in what world is that double the price. And OnePlus 7 buyers are actually paying LESS. Coming from a Samsung user OnePlus is one hell of a bargain.

The prices of these phones will keep going up as long as the big mfrs (SEC/AAPL) keep raising theirs. I got a 1TB S10+ ceramic for $1279 and that was $$$ but the original price of $1599? And don't even get me started on folding phones. Had one preordered because, well you know, I'm a sucker for it I guess. But times are changing and it seems like innovation is slowing down. I mean, come on, how much more do they expect (a phone) to do?!
