Backup your media files (photo, music, downloads) stored on internal storage
Download LineageOS i9100g ROM, OpenGApps (ARM, Android 6.0, Stock) and .gapps-config.zip (details see below) to your sdcard. Extract .gapps-config.zip to same place as your opengapps file on sdcard, usually root of sdcard.
Boot into TWRP Recovery. If you don't have TWRP 2.8.7.0, flash TWRP and reboot into twrp recovery. Then wipe system, data, internal, dalvik and cache.
Flash LineageOS 13.0 rom and OpenGApps Stock with .gapps-config file. It will install opengapps nano and replace aosp keyboard with google keyboard. Reboot system and follow instructions in setup wizard. After finishing all, reboot again.
To get root access, download su-arm-i9100g.zip and flash it in twrp recovery
Set default phone app, before you make your first call. Go to "Settings/Apps/Advanced/Default Apps/Phone App" and set it to "Phone".

Not supported:
Manual selection of network carrier is not supported -> use automatic network search
Snap camera supports picture and video recording. Panorama mode is not supported (but working with some other camera apps). Digital zoom is not supported.
Some display features are not supported, for example 'night mode'
Problems and/or not working:
Sound distortions with some codecs and sample rates. In some situations or with some codecs, sound/ringtones etc. sounds like with some kind of electronical effect. -> try different equalizer settings or use cm12.1, if audio quality is not accectable for you
GPS does not find enough satellites to get a location fix -> use cm-12.1 if you need this feature. This bug could be solved by replacing proprietary libstlport.so with opensource external libstlport.so, but this breaks simcard detection.
When you found a bug/error/problem, post a logcat with description. Postings without these informations are likely to be ignored.
FAQ/Solutions:
Root: To get root access, download su-arm-i9100g.zip and flash with twrp. Then go to settings/about phone and touch build-number seven (7) times. This will activate developer settings. Then go to settings/developer settings/root access and set it to apps only or apps and adb.
Recovery: LineageOS 13.0 comes with Cyanogen Recovery by default. But this rom supports booting IsoRec TWRP recovery. If recovery is not working, enter 'download mode' and flash a new recovery via odin, for example TWRP 2.8.7.0.
Bluetooth connections to headsets, speakers -> When you have connection problems try to disable battery optimisations for your audio app: go to settings/battery, select menu on top right and choose 'optimisation', in dropdown menu choose 'all applications' and select your music player app (for example cyanogenmod eleven), select 'not to optizime'. Reboot after you set this option.
Android security patch level: Google releases monthly security updates. Security bulletin is split into different security patch levels. Relevant for i9100g lineage 13 is only first part of this bulletin, for example patch level 2017-05-01, with changes in aosp source code. These issues gets fixed with an updated lineage 13.0 rom. Other issues mentioned in drivers and kernel are device specific. We could be affected by this errors or similar bugs, but only manufactor of this hardware could update (driver) binaries (and they don't care about old devices). The same with kernel bugs, i9100g kernel could be affected by this errors too, but there are no active kernel developers for this device and so these problems will often stay unfixed.
Galery app: If galery app does not display all your albums/pictures/video for example of your sdcard: Open file explorer and search for a file '.nomedia' on your sdcard root/picture/video folder. If it's there, delete it. It tells android not to index this folder. Then make a new folder on your sdcard, for example 'media'. Move your pictures/videos/music to your new media folder. Mediascanner will scan these files automatically now and they should be visible in gallery app.
Optimisations:
Low app space: If you are low on app data storage, think about repartitioning your phone storage. 4 or 6 gb should be sufficient even for many apps. Follow instructions in this thread. Alternatively use Lanchon Repit Tool.
Battery: Display and data connections/syncing use most energy. I suggest to reduce display brightness to a minimum or switch off adaptive brightness. Also switch off background data connections/syncing for apps you don't use or which will be updated when you really use it.
After first flash give phone some extra time to complete all tasks, even when it's reacting already to your inputs, it's working hard. Wait some minutes. It's also a good idea to do another reboot after some time. This solved some problems in the past.
Force closes: If you are experiencing force closes try first to clean cache/dalvik cache in recovery. If it's still not working, go to settings/apps, find the offending app and clear data. Still no solution? Then do a clean flash with factory reset and re-install apps without importing backups.

Change:
- Touchkey backlight fixed and working normally again

I miss this device, thanks OP for keeping this device alive.

Thanks Man YOU ARE GREAT.

thanks for the new ROM.

Great job!
Any way we could help in pinning down the issue with the libstlport.so open source version which would fix the GPS issue? Probably only with coding knowledge?

I don't care how many time you ask.
Learn how to compile yourself. cm11 is old, you may need an older environment to compile it. sun java6 for example, which is not supported any longer. You will run into some problems, when you want to compile cm11 today.

What are the known bugs in this ROM?
A QUESTION DIRECTED THE THOSE WHO TESTED IT

Just installed the ROM today. Gave my old I9100G a new lease of life. It's working perfectly fine. Thanks to @adxamg !
Hope this ROM continues to get updates.

low system space
I get the message "insufficient storage space available in System partition" when installing Open Gapps. I tried the stock version. Something to do about that?

Additional Information: This is the FIRST ever released Z5 Compact custom AOSP ROM that is using the Stock kernel and blobs. What this means? Not much, exept for the stock like camera of cause, if that is something you care about
Now stop reading this post. Seriously. You are wasting your time. FLASH THIS AND TAKE PICTURES!
HUGE THANKS; to all the lineage and kitakami devs who have been working on this, and continue to work hard on this to get you (and me) the best rom that they can!
NOTE:This uses stock kernel and blobs - meaning NO RECOVERY. Please know how to use "fastboot boot boot.img" if you get stuck anywhere
NOTICE:
It has been really fun porting and Lineage and Carbonrom top the Z5C, and it has been amazing to see you guys (The community) try it out for yourselves and make your own builds. Due to my Z5C being broke I have passed it on to a recycling company - meaning I can no longer test or update builds. Please do feel free to link your own builds in the comments (As long as they do not breach the rules of course )
Thanks for the support this year - and I want to thank those who are keeping their own builds up to date!

Great work !
Finally we're able to detach from Sony's shackles, it's annoying to be limited by that proprietary crap (e.g. texfat module) in pushing the kernel or the ROM further
Not sure what wifi driver you're using and how you got it to work on suzuran but I had to fix it up + add some bits from the AOSP kernel source to make it work:

Seems you select wrong architecture when download gapps.
Before flash LineageOS, first flash boot.img and then boot into TWRP from this kernel or simply wipe system partition.
I have TWRP 3.1.0-0 installed. I have followed tutorials https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...de-tutorial-sony-xperia-tablet-z-lte-t3392831
Pos. 8)-10).
and have tried to install GApps arm, 7.1
Why I cannot install back Lineage 14.1?
Btw
AOSP CAF (LA.UM.5.7.r1) is working correctly but I am missing GApps.
Edit
It is something wrong with TWRP 3.1.0-0. I have flashed TWRP 3.0.2 and it has been possible to flash this rom and GApps at once. This rom install TWRP 3.1.0-0 automatically and it is impossible to flash SuperSU afterwards
I am back on Lineage 14.1..

LineageOS 16.0 for Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus (YTX703F / YTX703L)

2018-10-02: It is my pleasure to announce, together with @Quallenauge and @matshias, the availability of unofficial LineageOS 16 builds for the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus devices (YTX703F and YTX703L).
2019-03-12: And now official lineage-16.0 builds as well!
Issues
Audio over Wi-Fi Display is transmitted at the speed of sound, instead of speed of light
Flashing over anything else (official Lineage 15.1 etc) is not supported - data wipe is required. Working on 2 migration packages: unofficial <-> official and 15.1 <-> 16.0
Double tap to wake (dt2w) does not work too well over long term and I don't recommend enabling it - only added to build per user request
Official Instructions
LineageOS wiki: [YTX703F (Wi-Fi)] | [YTX703L (LTE)]
Migrating from Unofficial 16.0 to Official 16.0
Boot to TWRP
Install Lineage OTA zip
Install the provided migration-to-official.zip
Reboot from TWRP to system
Migrating from Official 15.1 to Official 16.0
Boot to TWRP
Wipe system partition. This step is critical. User data is not lost when system partition is erased.
Install Lineage OTA zip
If you had OpenGapps in 15.1, then you must install new OpenGapps for ARM64 for Android 9.0. If you didn't have OpenGapps in 15.1, you must not install any Gapps package.
Reboot from TWRP to system
Migrating from Official 16.0 to Unofficial 16.0
Boot to TWRP
Rename the provided migration-to-official.zip to migration-to-unofficial.zip
Install Lineage OTA zip
Install the renamed migration-to-unofficial.zip
Reboot from TWRP to system

No. If you don't want to get your hands dirty then best just wait for official 16 builds (probably at least 2 months from now).

I know right? Maybe by the time the Lineage 16 bringup is over we can do something about it.

Yup but first you have to backup, in case you want to roll back to 15.1
Can it be that the display is quite dark, even with 80% brightness, seems similar to the 15.1 update 2 weeks ago, where something with brigtness was no good.
I know, it´s a beta version now, but brightness should be a must to test the next 2 months....until official, thanks.
Is your issue that the display is dark despite being at max setting (a hardware issue), or rather that the automatic brightness control won't stay at max setting (a framework issue)?

sorry, but i did not understand very well your comments.
i wanted only to say, that comparing with my last installation 15.1 with 45% brightness, now with LOS 16 seems to me, that 45% brightness is much more darker than before, so i put it on 80% now to have the same. But sure battery will spend more ....
In the meanwhile i could install opengapps 9 nano, magisk 17.1 all with not any problems, i like it very much the new build, thanks a lot... will use it and test it...
concerning dolby atmos: with 15.1 i had successfully installed the dolby-atmos-axon7-oreo installed---do you think i can flash ist also now with the new build?

I mean: if you disable automatic brightness control, is the screen any brighter?

no, it´s the same.
for me is a similar issue as we had short time ago with 15.1 official rom, when @Quallenauge wrote this:
Thanks, there were some changes in the background made which changes the way how the brightness is controlled to achieve the battery save mode. Maybe there is some tuning needed (if possible).
Other issue: i tried to flash dolby atmos, but got boot loop, so i had to wipe once more all and flash the new build once more.
but could reinstall all my apps with my google account, installing opengapps nano 9 - great thing.
thanks for all
After making a backup I just dirty flashed this release with open gapps nano for 9.0 (arm64) and until now evertything works like a charm! Did wipe cache and dalvik afterwards. Thanks for the update, great work!

It is my pleasure to announce, together with @Quallenauge, the availability of early access release LineageOS 16 builds for the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus devices (YTX703F and YTX703L).
To the best of our knowledge, the hardware works and SELinux is in enforcing mode. However, as Lineage 16 bringup is not complete yet, many operating system customizations are not yet available and there might be various minor glitches in the SystemUI.
These builds are of BETA quality and are not intended for stable, daily use yet. Installation is "as usual" - non-specific instructions given intentionally to deter people that are expecting stable software from installing and then complaining about things that are irrelevant at this point.
The purpose of these early builds is to speed up development by figuring out the next top priorities. Today also marks the movement of Lineage 15.1 into maintenance, no-new-features mode, as we are now investing our efforts so that most of you can hop on 16 in the near future.

Can't wait for it to become stable enough for me to use this. Sadly I can no longer spend much time testing and trying things out.
But you guys are doing great work. It's hard to believe such a unknown device is getting so much development and such a great little community and devs.
Cheers
At this moment I have only 2 main issues:
Display missing brightness (too dark)
Sound could be louder, don't want to go to 100 % volume

I don't know what you're seeing/hearing, but I'm telling you for sure that the backlight brightness fix from 15.1 was integrated in these buils. Also we changed nothing about audio.
Look, what I reported is my impression, no critics and only comparation to 15.1 build, nothing more.
I only want to help, right.
to be sure about my display i restored my Oreo 15.1 backup and then restored again my Pie 16 backup and i confirm that with Pie 16 i have to configure about 80% display rate to have the same clear display as with 40% on Oreo 15.1
I don´t know why, i have automatic display disabled in the 2 builds, so we have the same conditions.
Concerning sound: ok, the comparation was not correct, because in Oreo 15.1 i could use the dolby atmos tool which i had installed.
I will continue with Pie 16 because it is the future and i like it, principally closing open apps works so fine swiping up...
And sure, i hope the display setttings will improve and one day i can get my dolby atmos also installed in pie...:good:
Is there any chance for DT2W in this new Pie build?

These unofficial builds are only meant to exist until the Lineage 16 bringup is over and officials start shipping.
There is a 5% chance that my initial estimation is wrong and the touch panel really supports wake gestures at the firmware level. Now that I got a hold of a Synaptics datasheet, I can take some time and read the relevant registers to figure out whether that is the case or not. If it does, I'm glad to add it back. But if it doesn't, I hope it's understandable that I don't want to waste my time again by putting in and testing a temporary feature.
But by any means, do feel free to do that yourself if you want to, the community is not a single person or 2. Patches are here:

This is just what I wanted. My father is using my Kenzo since the last 2 years and the little issues in P+ ROMs weren't something that he could deal with. So I had installed AEX 4.6 by Magicxavi. But it was EOL in Feb 2020. For updated security patches my only other option was LOS 14.1 by e/foundation which wasn't what I wanted as it had microG built-in causing several apps to not work/crash. Plus active drain in Nougat is 10-12%/h vs 15-16%/h in Pie+ and multitasking is way better as RAM usage is much lower. Gonna try this when I return home next.
Thanks.
thanks bro..

Can't. My exams are ongoing. proly won't be updating until next month
Tested the build over the last few days. Seems stable enough. Battery backup seems decent. Little over 13%/h AD and 0.6%/h ID, primarily web browsing and WA. It could be better as Jio coverage, despite LTE-CA, isn't really good indoors compared to Vi in my locality. RN3 is now being retired as a primary device in favour of RN10 Pro.
One issue I have noticed (which could be related to something at my end) is that the home screen seems to sort of redraw everytime I go back to it from any app. It's quite jarring.
Edit: Goodix fingerprint sensor doesn't work.

The 20220923 build should really be considered a demo as accessing the Internet isn't possible yet, we will fix this asap.

What I meant by the Internet isn't the WiFi icon or LTE icon, it's the fact you can't connect to any website.
@tipzrickycheung
The recovery link in the OP points to Wingtech/Xiaomi Redmi 2's LineageOS download page. It should be replaced with this one.
Anyone been able to install GApps? There was something regarding a zip file to resize the system partition in the OP yesterday, but not seeing it now.

Thanks! Will give a try tonight. Were you able to install NikGapps with the new build? I tried Basic and Core on the initial build and got a "installation failed due to lack of space".

That's interesting, I will have to check what's wrong with that. Thanks for reporting.
Opinion from the people using this - how does the PH-1 handle the ROM? Mainly asking from the perspective of the phone's hardware capability Vs Android 13.
The RIL stack on msm8998 devices may be too old to work well/properly on A13.
I'm not the right person to comment on the PH-1's A13 status (or that of other msm8998 devices), or on whether fixes are possible (or not)... these need a dev's reply.
