Why no one try to send a complaint to huawei about reversed camera audio channels when recording a video with default camera app? I send two time complaint about this problem and i received a weird answer that the problem wasnt attended because there is a single complaint about the problem ( probably me) and again probably there is a problem from my phone. But i already tested on other P8 phone and there is the same problem. The problem is not from the kernel, but from the camera app, because with third party camera apps from google play , audio channels are correct positioned.

how to install.....
After download: File can be found on SD card: HWFF
1. Create a folder DLOAD in the external SD card.
2. Unzip the file update.zip into the DLOAD folder.
3. Disconnect your phone from your PC, if still attached.
4. In the dialer app type the following: *#*#2846579#*#*
5. Select Software Upgrade [option 4], then Update SD Card.
The phone will reboot and install the update.

Thanks guys. I unSUed (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63615067) my B390 firmware SuperSU, installed the B398 firmware as Kris van Kooten wrote above, installed TWRP, installed magisk, rebooted, installed magisk manager so I enjoy the new, rooted firmware now.

It came to my mind that maybe someone will need all the mentioned files needed for flashing and rooting. I repacked the B398 firmware and compressed it with 7-zip. I also compressed TWRP 3.1.10, Magisk 12.0, Magisk Manager 4.33, unSU script, and Huawei HiSuite 5.01 (ought to update to 5.02).
The links should be valid for several weeks and the servers are pretty fast. The MD5 files are B02D09611EAD06BE4C2F4DCDF152C412 (the firmware) and C51A563467D37E106CE211F909A6D8B4 (the tools).

If you view the Changelog, it's a network-branded update most likely - MyWind & WindTalk are apps developed by Wind Telecomunicazioni, an Italian network company.

Perform these steps twice without rebooting the phone. Don't press reboot phone. Just use the hardware buttons, and ensure that nothing is plugged in to USB.

I think with this firmware( B398), Huawei finally ended the support for this phone... There are over 2 years from launching date.

It's our turn to have a taste of EMUI 3.0! Huawei DE made a site where you can become an EMUI 3.0 beta tester. But there's a trap because you need to wait more than few days to receive the update. I made this thread for the people who can't wait. Continue reading to learn how to install EMUI 3.0.

I solved. B133SP01 install and maintain Root with RootGenius and last upgrade to 3.0 Emiu in Local.
When you restart the root remains active.
I guess it still the beta version, right?
1. Downgrade from B136 to B133SP01
2. Setup B602

The same thing happened to me when I tried to install 3.0 from B133 and the problem is when you use 3 buttons or Hisuite (Do not update with these methods), what you have to do is to put the update.zip (3.0 emui version) in the sdcard (remember place it in the carpet /doad/ you must create it), and then you must use the cellphone in the menu update/ choose local update and allow the device reboot itself and start updating properly emui 3.0.
I recommend you go back to emui 2.3 B133 first and do these things before doing any change.
Huawei Ascend P7 L-10 EMUI 3.0 Beta
I've installed the beta version on my P7-L10. The interface looks cool, awesome. But it doesn't have many features in the 2.3 official version. For example, dlna, screen sharing on other smart devices, backup, hide folders and files, Select app to play Gallery files. (images & videos) Also, the battery consumption is high compared to the previous EMUI. When can we expect the official update with all bugs fixed?

Flash it with stock recovery, TWRP or CWM are used for updating Custom Roms only and TWRP only works in 2.3 roms, not in 3.0 roms. All the information you need to ugrade can be found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/ascend-p7-b602-emui-3-0-international-t2971697 :good:

That files that you mention is the KERNEL for the P-7, it is not any FACTORY ROM, so I do not recommend you downloading it unless you are a Developer who wants to design your own Rom.

Thanks for the reporting :good:
Hi,
I'm new here, first of all thanks for sharing this :good:
I would like to try it out, but I was wondering:
a) Why in the phone updater this update it's not recognized (mine is ALE-L21C432B170) ?
b) Can I change language or it will be in spanish only ? I guess so because actually looks like I can switch it.
c) If I want to rollback to the actual firmware, how do I do it ?
Thanks in advance for any answer
p.s. already asked in another thread but got no answers
@de_android
I downloaded the zip file, extracted it and put the dload folder in the internal memory, then went to updater and did the normal local update. It worked for me that way.
Mine was set using English language and after the update it stills. Actually, the update doesn't erase the phone, I think this happens if you update from another stable version, not from another beta.
I don't know exactly how you can make any rollback but I was on B188 and the update completed without any issues BUT, after the first restart, I'm receiving the notification telling that "Google Play Services won't run unless you update Google Play Services." I've received this message several months ago after a factory reset but I don't remember which GPlay Services APK I should install... can you guys give me a hand with that?
Edit: Just disregard my previous request, I just tapped the message and it opened Play with the option to update GPlay services. Another thing... It seems I've made a mistake upgrading from B188, this is because on that version I was experiencing the double tap issue when typing, I had understood that this issue is resolved in B190 and read that some people updating to this version of Android 6.0, are not experiencing this issue but I am so, it is probably because I updated from B188 with the double tap bug. I'll try to find some time to make the propper update process froma a version without the double tap bug... kinda annoying :/

So basically the updater doesn't check online for any updates, but just search for the package inside the phone memory ?

From my perspective, this is half true... The updater do search for updates online but the availability of the update may vary depending on your phone's region and if your phone is running with a carrier build of the firmware. So, what we are doing, is getting the update file and making the update process locally before it is available in some repository that the updater app queries in order to update the phone. After putting the dload folder on internal or external memory you need to tap on "Menu" (bottom of updater) and then "Local update" and you should see the package to update. BTW, that last option to make local updates, disappeared after the upgrade.

According to the PDF contained in the zip file, you wouldn't be able to update that version.
PDF says that the following versions can be upgraded:
ALE-L21C432B524
ALE-L21C432B194
ALE-L21C432B188
ALE-L21C432B170

they haven't resolve the bug with camera app. When you record a video and the sound source is from left you hear it in right side and when it's right you hear it in left side
Ota update comes to me today. The BIG problem with reversed audio channels for video recording was not resolved...

I've installed this as per the excellent instructions.
Here's another datapoint:
My phone previously had the b321a firmware.
I just let the update install itself.
My phone is working exactly as before.
I've not done a hard reset.
I've not wiped anything.
All my online accounts are still connecting without reauthorization
Any ideas when it will reach OTA?

How to get the OTA link location and share.
1: Enable USB debugging
settings>development>enable USB debugging
2: Now plug in your watch to the PC.
3: Now open the command prompt or terminal by holding the shift key on your PC and press the right mouse button. Alternatively, go to start>accessories>cmd or type cmd in the search under the start menu.
4: Now type the following command
adb logcat
5: Once you get the full logcat copy and paste everything from the terminal into a notebook text document.
6: Now that you have the OTA URL, you can start with downloading the OTA.
7: Share the zip with other here in XDA. Thanks

Get the OTA download location. It will be useful for everyone her.
Thanks

Fine if you have adb installed, I guess. Much easier to generate a bug report and get the OTA from it.

Do we just download the OTA update? Then how do we install the update? Are there any instructions or the installation starts automatically?

Yes, here is a tutorial for the Mate 9, but the procedure is similar to our Mate S
Tutorial Firmware Finder
I guess they didn't fix it. Dose someone has similar issue?

I can change my incoming call / sms sound. Maybe a hard reset will fix your issue.
Thank you for the info.
Installed without issues and with no data loss. Runs like the version before but has an updated security patch level and a new eye friendly mode (blue light filter). I also realized a few minor changes in the look and feel of the UI.

Didn't help. Meanwhile phone looped in configuration steps between WiFi+ and google configuration import. Only when I remove sim card and disconnect WiFi I can proceed to home screen.
Is this official or beta release?
...
This is an official release. I assume that your phone is somehow broken. I have none of your issues with any firmware release and two friends of mine with similar phone don't have either. Maybe you need to change your phone over your warranty.

Is there a way to reinstall OS on this phone? I mean clean install from the package - not an update.
Edit:
Ok, everything is clear now - in my case there is no "Theme" app in B370 and B380. Is there a way to install it separately? I've rolled back to B321 and I'm able to change incoming / message sound.

Thanks for the reply. I installed B380 yesterday following the instructions in the German blog. No data lost, everything works fine so far. I hope Huawei to continue the support for mate S and give us some of the features of emui 5 in the future.

well there is 2 ways, the first one is the one I did...For update to 380 I extracted system, boot, cust from update.app and flash them with "adb", then flash magisk in twrp (3.0.2) and in magisk app (this has supersu incluyed) you can install xposed, dolby, etc.
the second choice is go to twrp 3.0.2, go to "advanced/terminal" and write this "echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu"...then you restart the phone in recovery again and flash normaly supersu 2.79

Before you try to root, do back up with twrp to SYSTEM and BOOT...so you can unbrick your phone easily

Could you paste the link to proper magisk and TWRP 3.0.2 because there are many versions eg. 3.0.2-1 3.0.2-0 etc.
