Lower brightness. Lock GPU frequency to 133 unless you play games. Use greenify, wakeblock, block alarms when screen is off. Use L-Speed.

I don't know.

I am using OOS 4.1.6 with blu spark kernel for the performance. Now usually SOT : 4~6 hours when battery life is under 10%. I feel OK with this for awesome dash charging.
But if u really concern about battery life I think you should stay on OOS stock, because when I updated OOS 4.1.6, using stock kernel for some days, SOT is very impressed. Over 7.5 hours I remembered.

there's no such thing. its your personal use and your signal quality that determines your battery life.
Is this how people are pushing 7 hours on screen time? I dont get how they do that. I have to atleast charge my device 2x a day in order to make it through the day. Fee like my battery drains so fast and I barley have any apps on it. I installed BetterBatteryStats to see if anything fishy is going on in the background but I havent seen anything strange.

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Moto G4 Plus before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
never took the battery down much past 50% but at the 50% mark I'll usually have about 3 hours of SOT. my moto g³ is pretty much the same. great battery life and SOT on the g⁴plus! especially if you're like me and mostly use IRC and open a few links and youtubes throughout your session. you're going to have PLENTY of SOT
Compared to the screen in the G3, it is sharper despite being bigger at 5.5 inches. This is due to the higher resolution of 1080p. The text looks crisp on this phone. But where it truly excels is in showing colours. The contrast and the colour depth on it is brilliant. The brightness is more than adequate, although it is also a very reflective screen and that poses some difficulty during outdoor use. The viewing angles are average -- the screen darkens when viewed at an angle -- and that too affects the outdoor visibility. But I have seen worse. And seen better. The G4 Plus is closer to the best.

[Battery life] OOS 3.2.8 public vs OOS 4.0 N beta

Hi i'm on OOS 3.2.8 and i through my battery life very good (SOT 5h) but i'm afraid about the 4.0 battery life and the bugs of this build . Should i flash it ? Because i realy want to try N thank's
bugs are pretty minor and battery life is good and pretty similar to 3.2.8, you should get sot of over 5 hours with light / medium usage.

I get in OOS 4 Open Beta ~7 hours SOT. I belive it is even better than 3.2.8. where I got 5-6 hours. Previous stable versions 326 or 327 got me < 4 hours.
I've got half of the battery still left on open beta and already 4h30m sot... Mixed usage... Superb

Yes, it can be used as daily driver. And op releases an update for community builds every couple of weeks so those few bugs will also be taken care of soon.

Haven't done anything special, sideloaded update like everyone else and did factory reset after that. No battery drain for me. Haven't had a single issue with this "beta"?

This "beta" locks really dope got 6 hours screen on with lots of vainglory and social media
Battery life on open beta 8 is awesome with doze mode really reducing power consumption during standby. I unplug at 8am everyday and I emptied the battery at 9pm on open beta 7. Now it goes until 1 or 2am. Medium usage with lots of standby in office.

How do you factory reset through settings or recovery?does it format the internal memory?my device is fully stock on oxygen 4.0.
I have gotten excellent battery use so far, no worse than the last Community build. Android Auto is now working properly again, so that's good. No issues or hangups.
If you see battery drain, try uninstalling Antutu. First, its scores are meaningless, second, I have several times now seen it chewing up my battery... And what was really weird was that I had not actually run the app in weeks, yet some service was running in the background draining the battery...

Very confusing needed advise here, flashing ce8 changes partition to f2fs or is it open us to format and change the format in recovery?
I hardly care about the increase in speed but i am more concerned about the future flashing

Several who tried the beta 8 (N preview) reported better battery life than 3.2.8.
Beta 8 has been hard on my battery. Android System is once again draining more than my screen. Went from 6-7h of SOT to 4.5h average.

Isn't saying just "google it" worse? At least I said why we can't give any reliable suggestion. The same rom for me can be a good battery saver, but with the FB app on it can be the worse. It all depends on usage and apps...

It does but I'm that much familiar with flashing that different Roms give different battery life with same apps....so if you gave him a suggestion on what you feel is best in terms of battery would have been much better(as you would have used every ROM you tried with your preferred set of apps and settings so you could have compared them in terms of battery life ). But I said that tell him to Google it next time after giving your suggestions!
Anyways happy flashing
I got 8 hours sot with the stock kernel. I'd say that's pretty good.

The battery life of the X527 running 16S is awful.
This phone has about 66% of the battery life of my old ZTE Z958 Zmax2 before it needs charged up.
Do I need a different ROM to improve battery life as it's really quite pathetic, despite the reviews saying it's great?

Akt mean Advance kernel tweaks n as the name suggests it basically tweak kernel profile. There are two version u can choose from.. One is profile zip This tweak is applicable to every phone with any ROM or kernel--stock or custom--that provides the Interactive Governor, another one is an apk(which is more user friendly and convenient but officially support only sd 820/821).
U might wana use xiaomi doze with greenify for better results.
