I tried k ROM from honor 6x on my phone and everything works fine on my device...all the custom settings and else... I don't think there is a difference in those phones...for the firmware at Least...maybe the devs can work together and bring us a new custom ROM or something!

AFAIK honor 8 lite is just another name for p8 lite 2017 so it's possible that kernel sources are the same
Now I will test it, however, does not think that it works.
It wont work. Is also logical.

The about phone hasn't changed at all but i think it's because i restored the system only...not vendor and boot...but other functions work well...like the k rom advanced settings and other stuff

Thank you for the screenshot. It's great to know that K-Rom works on our phone.
Have you observed bugs on the ROM? Bluetooth, Wifi, etc all work? By the way, did you dirty flash the ROM on top of your existing one? And did it wipe anything off of your phone? I'd love to try this on my PRA-LX2

If even the system has restored now. Really functions without mistake. The Kangvip settings do not go on the B164.

Some things seem to work. He's got the clock centered on the status bar.
Now with me it also goes. But, either the Kangvip Settings, or the Dev. Options do not go. Now I develop a B164 custom Rome.

Wifi and other stuff work normally... No bugs till now... Except for some apps... But reinstalling them fixed it...
The method that I used was restoring the system partition only... I didn't restore vendor and other stuff

That's a bit harder. I don't really know what I'm doing and my last attempt at de blurring a ROM failed miserably, but I have debloated sucessfully in the past.
Note that my version will also remove all the Verizon stuff so it probably wont work on CDMA.

Ask DHacker or jsnweitel, they have experience with kexec.
As far as debloating, and i hope I'm not speaking out of turn, just be sure to credit myfishbear for the base.

As for deblurring, I've managed to get eveything except the calendar, which will do for now.
I'm sure MyFishBear or Olegfusion will come along with a properly done debloat later.

i had a similar problem on first boot and setup. the connection would hang on authenticating to my router. tapped it and selected 'forget' and re-entered the password and it went thru.

Most details are there. Nothing really removed at all. All changes are there. I've seen other roms claim to remove OTA updates but that wasn't 100% accurate. I will update the rom soon though to remove a couple unnecessary things such as T-Mobile's spyware.

I totally misread your request. Lol for some reason I thought you requested a stock camera zip. Anyways, I have another thread here in the development section with a rooted stock system image. That'll do what you want.

The new Pixel Dialer now works without ROOT too..
Just Install the APK in ATTACHMENT and you are ready to go.
After installing APK, you must go into "settings > apps > gear icon (top right) > Default Apps > Phone App" and set the Google Dialer as the default instead of previous Phone(Dialer).
Update:- Google Phone V 13 No-Root apk is now available.. See attachments for downloads..
Just ignore the poll.. it was previously made.. Not needed anymore..

I don't think so..
Anyway to get the old xz2 launcher back? I can't install it as a apk because the package names are the same.

Once you root 'if you do' try replacing the APK in the system folder and change permissions, I'm gonna 2ait untill people have rooted theres like and see if the camera works or not other wise I'll wait for a solution

I know that if you root it you can replace it but I want a no root solution. The older Xperia launchers don't work because of the resolution and leave a blank black area (and also the app switcher does not work if you are using the pill)
Unlocking the bootloader does not render the came black this time but there is still no way to root it since there is no custom recovery.

No way with magisk via fastboot? I'm not sure how all that works anymore tbh though as I've not done it in a very long time :silly: probably just best to wait buddy, how come you want the old version btw?

New one is missing features a lot of them. No icon pack support, You can't set icon size. No search function etc.

Fair enough, I did use it a lot ages ago but then I started using Microsoft launcher with turbo settings and everything disabled :silly:
Can not change the icons in the new Launcher?

Old launcher isn't designed for 21:9 ratio.
So it'll look horrible
