How to bypass tethering hotspot device limit?

What I want to achieve is to set up a local WLAN network where other devices connect to my hotspot. Data connection is not required, we just all want to be in the same network. However, there seems to be a limit on the number of devices that can connect to the hotspot, i;e, after 5 devices have successfully connected, the 6th device is unable to connect and gets a "Saved" status against the SSID.
Any solutions are welcome, I am running android 5.0 on a rooted Lenovo K3 Note (k50a40).

Hotspot issue: works internet for the connected devices but not for the p20

As said in the title, when I use my p20 pro as Hotspot for my laptop internet works fine on it but seems disconnected for the phone. Any ideas why this happen? I tried to change option in my device but it seems to behave the same way.

Phone keeps data connection on when Wi-Fi does not have internet access

Hello all,
I have a Wi-Fi router that I use just to transfer data to and control my smart TV and other devices. This wifi does not have internet access. So when I connect my OnePlus 3T to this Wi-Fi , it shows that the Wi-Fi does not have internet access and keeps accessing data connection. Even when I turn off data, the phone does not even try to access anything from Wi-Fi connection. I have not faced this problem on any other phones and those are able to connect to other local devices through Wi-Fi without internet. Anybody have a solution? Thanks in advance.
PS: auto switch between data and Wi-Fi setting is already disabled.

Question Connect Phone to his own tethered network

Hi !
I have a S21 Ultra, and use it as a modem for my house with wifi tethering.
I can access my printer with my computer on this wifi network
But here is the problem : I can't access the device on this network from my phone.
I can't print from my phone,
I can't use app mirroring on Windows (open samsung flagship apps on W10 computer) because both S21 and computer have to be on the same wifi network.
Is there any way to make the phone part of his own wifi tethering ? Or workaround ?
Thanks !
no what your trying to do is hack someones phone....its not gonna happen!!!!

Don't understand your message... It's my own phone that doesn't detect itself in the wifi network list. I have no problem to connect network from one phone onto another. It is on the same phone, both emitter and receiver

I think you can try to make a hotspot on the PC and share wifi (from the phone) to the PC hotspot and connect the printer itself to the PC hotspot
Tethering is like connecting a modem to a device. Hotspot is creating a local wifi network for devices to connect to.
Tethering vs Hotspot: Difference and Comparison
Tethering allows a device to share its internet connection with other devices via a physical connection (such as USB), while a hotspot creates a Wi-Fi network to share the device's internet connection wirelessly.

Based on your description you are creating a hotspot on the phone that the laptop and printer connect to? If so then the phone cannot "join" that network as the wifi stack in the phone is being used to run a network and the phone has access to the mobile data network the wifi is representing.
No, only the computer connects to the phone.
but create a second hotspot on the computer that connects the printer to the computer

Your phone wifi module can either act as a broadcaster or receiver at a time, but not both. It will only handle one wifi network at a time, either the one it's broadcasting (endogenous mobile hotspot) or the one it's receiving (exogenous WiFi)
You can see this as a prompt when you turn on mobile hotspot. Whenever you turn on Wifi Hotspot, your WiFi will automatically get turned off. It will even display a notification and ask for your consent (at least mine does)

Wow! That's nice to hear. Haven't used that feature on a phone before. Didn't know it was doable. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday.
thats what hackers and LEA use.....smh

wifi hotspot traffing filtering

Hello everyone on this forum!
I have an issue with my P20 Pro when using wifi hotspot, or I think it's releated to my phone. To the point...
Sometimes I have to use wifi hotspot from my p20 pro to share internet access to my work laptop. Basically, if I'm at home office I use VPN to connect to internal network of my work place, so I can access internal recources. And everything is working when using hotspot except one program which uses SQL database. On phone wifi hotspot I can't access this database and it looks like my phone is blocking traffic related to this database. Database is giving me error that I'm not connected to internal network. I tried to reset network setting, still the same problem. I checked on some other phones:
google pixel 4a - database access OK,
huawei P20 lite - no database access,
any other non-phone hotspot network - database access OK.
Any segestion why this is happening?
Try usb tether and switching to 5Ghz (if possible on notebook side). Sounds like some routing issues but if you tried resetting already then I don't suppose you'll be able to resolve that.
