B115 is a pretty weird firmware tbh. what i would do is flash B100 then update to B110 then to B164 and finally to B170. i bought my phone with B106 and i wasnt receiving any updates either

Sounds familiar had same on my 6x right ball Ake!! best place find all these update zips?? and is it same process download the zip extract copy update.app to dload folder and *#*#---- what ever it is..
Is firmware finder any good? as lots of builds on there do they work? I use to use to update my 6x Thanks

the B100 doesnt seem to be available anymore so you can just start at flashing B110. use this handy tool to download the firmware itself. i never tried doing the dload thing and flashing the extracted update.app (fastboot flash recovery/boot/system recovery.img/boot.img/system.img) never really worked for me. try doing these two first with B110. if these doesnt work, then try using one of the TWRP restores from here. just translate the page and preferably start from B100. remember that all the updates must be done with stock recovery flashed.

Thanks will take a look , on firmware finder B100 is available but only goes up to B125 and if I'm on B115 will it flash older B110 , why do they make these phones so confusing to update ,,jezz[emoji848]

Edit:: I see now B100 is just a log ,,lol

What's new in 4.06.1540.3 update?

I have just received an OTA update with software number 4.06.1540.3 -size: 180MB.
Android is still 4.4 and Sense is still 5.5.
What's new in this update?

Do you have the OTA update.zip URL? I want to download to extract the stock recovery image. Thanks in advance!
The OTA zip file was uploaded by @Fredouye
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hh3rszox1....06.1540.2_release_343940db83ijxdzt34ryod.zip
I have uploaded the stock recovery

I believe the main fix is related to full disk encryption on KitKat (4.4.x).
I just received this message from HTC Support:
The issue where you device is not able to encrypt has been resolved by an over the air update released just a couple of days ago. The initial KitKat release was at 4.06.1540.2 and has been updated to 4.06.1540.3. In order to successfully download and install the update you must have a locked bootloader.

Specifically, I (and as I've been told, others, even people on other phones) have had problems booting the phone past the point of disk decryption on KitKat. This started immediately after I accepted the OTA update, and was unable to proceed without factory resetting the phone. This was pretty traumatic, since I was unrooted, and the Google passive backups didn't work at all (no settings/apps/etc restored).
I'm still on 4.06.1540.2, but with TWRP recovery, rooted, nightly Titanium backups syncing to Dropbox, and again encrypted. I still have problems with decryption sometimes, but after restarting 1-5 times I'm able to fully boot eventually. So this update should help with that annoyance.
I have another problem introduced with KitKat: I can't actually hear or transmit sound during GSM calls. I asked for release notes to see if this too was fixed:
In regards to the change log in the update that was pushed, I wouldn't be able to provide this to you as this information is currently not available for public release at this time.

Anyone know if the T-Mobile reception with LTE are fixed with this update for the Developers Edition. No matter where I go I only get 1 bar of LTE on this phone. I had bought the unlocked model here in the US of the HTC ONE Developers Edition. It was supposed to be for T-Mobile. When I put my SIM card into a T-Mobile HTC ONE at a T-Mobile shop it gets full bars but on mine it only gets 1 bar with poor reception.
Also does this update get rid of the App Ops Starter option on this device where one has the option to disable permissions for privacy?

@joni2012: You did not issue the correct command. Try this:
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.ZIP
Make sure the commands you put into terminal are correct. In this case, terminal even helped you by telling "Hey bro, what filetype is this firmware thingy? You said I shall flash a zip - what where is the filetype ending?". Press thanks if it helped.
try this one
Use htc_fastboot and then link your file

I received the OTA whilst on B551, haven't installed it as of yet.
Edit:
By tapping "Check for updates" you'll get the OTA posted above whilst on B551, though if you tap "Menu", then "Download latest full package" you'll get the option to download the full 1.51GB ROM update:
Btw the new professional mode could be used as light painting since you could adjust how long the shutter stays open. So yea try it.
i can't install the new ota update, is it because i have an unlocked bootloader ?
Well, i do have unlocked bootloader too but i successfully installed the b565 , try to download the full rom and not only the update itself, to download full rom just press menu, and press search for the latest update . . Well i was stock when i installed the rom, only unlocked bootloader.

If rooted with bootloader locked, casn you get OTA's?

Just curious if I can still get the system updates through my phone with root and locked bootloader?
you dont have to be on locked bootloader to get OTA but you have to be unrooted whithout system changes
I'd say stock recovery as well. What about xposed though? Does xposed make changes to the system?

There is a warning when you do OTA saying don't root your phone.

with this you maybe can update your phone!
and, about battery life, its much better in nuget than marshmalow. but for me at b182 it wasnt so bad, but in b360 its way better.
The battery life of my P9 is outstanding!

you can get unlock code here : http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download under unlock bootloader.
or, you can try using hisuite to upgrade to nuget without unlocking bootloader. No need it, no need root, no need twrp.. I upgradet my eva-l19c432b182 sucefuly to b360.
you need hisuite
you need firware updater
custom room name is EVA-L09C150B360
custom url : http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v72998/f1/
or: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v72998/f2/
duno what difference from f2 and f1. But if it not for your phone, upgrade will fail, but your phone will boot where it was before.
ps. if you try, dont just copy text, copy url as url, kuz its not showing full text whats in url, there in mid are dots, forum are made urls shorter

What is ur phone varient? did u manage to update ur phone? what are the new features?
How to install it. I already downloaded it
Don't try to install it, it's a Chinese only version. It's the quickest way to brick your device.

The Beta is normally sent to China based users or India, Yes it shows up on FF however if you ran a check it states its no ready for the phone just like B144 does currently, I am glad your running Android 9.0 EMUI 9.1 on your phone however you took a risk and a very big one at that.
Hence my statement above as so other don't go nuts and then come on here like it has been recently with "I have bricked my Honor 9 Lite HEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!".
If and when its offered via FF as safe or via the Honor Beta FTA will i even think about installing it.
Also another thing, if you hate EMUI 9.1, how are you going to roll back your device it needs a special firmware (Which yes does show on FF i know, but its the Chinese firmware yet again).
So rather coming out and going its not the truth maybe think why it was said in the first place!
The official beta is available via the Huawei beta app

Not to everyone though. That's my point. Each country has different frequencies for the modem etc. Hence what I was saying above.

Of course. That's a beta also. Whoever wants to try it, must know that is not for everyone.

As of 24 June 2019, there are issues with EMUI 9 update(Build number:9.1.0.112)
Issues:
Wifi connectivity issue.
Performance issue.
Now you have to hold the power button for 7 seconds for the power menu to pop up.
More bloatwares and background services.

I got the same build about two weeks ago. My phone started acting weird after updating to pie.
It started rebooting itself and stuff like that. I hope they fix this on upcoming updates though.
