Sure, i need testers that knows how to make logs and dmesg, so yes
Build should be ready in one or two hours but it's the first build and i don't have the A5 so it may have a lot of bugs.
Like bootloop, or not booting, etc...
Just a simple logcat record of 10 seconds can be suffisant
It's a first try

Thank you !

Hi, i'll need someone that can type there's command (on a local terminal, TWRP terminal, anything), also no need of RR installed, you can do this on TW roms :
1. ls -al /dev/block/platform/13540000.dwmmc0/by-name/ > partitions.txt
2. cat /proc/c > proc.txt
3. df -k > block.txt
Then send my there's three files (partitions.txt, proc.txt, block.txt). It seems that the boot error is maybe due to bad partition type
Thanks !

--' dmesg is a LOG.
NOT A FILE TO MAKE RR WORK.
Please use google before posting stupid things.

Hello here they are.
The file /proc/c does not exist on my phone. It is an A510-M model by the way.

Thanks a lot!
Partition table was not the good i think, let's hope it will fix something in next build
Also a last command that can maybe be useful for futute :
1. cd /sys
2. find | sed 's|[^/]*/|- |g' > /sdcard/tree.txt
That's a long command, this cmd will make a tree view of all /sys/ folder (/sys/ folder contains file for components)
(tree.txt will be at /sdcard/tree.txt)
Also if possible but i have chances to not work, a logcat (not a dmesg) when the rom is stuck at bootlogo

Hi.
Unfortunately I needed to flash stock again. Does the /sys tree is still useful? If yes I can easily get it for you

Here you go (btw I have A510F variant, with Revolution Rom)

Good luck dude

Thank in advance for the logcat, apparently the kernel is working well, so the problem is in the system!
A logcat should be useful

Build from source. The full source code for now come from nofearnohappy, a russian guys (i have already writed into OP), after testing to porting a kernel from another devices (same hardware) to our device I continue to working on device source for fix the problem with radio (sim2 i can't try because i don't use the second sim so for me isn't easy do debug), but I create a group into github and fork all sources I used for compile the cyanogenmod so is free for all to use and send pull request for fix problems. I create a thread in general section for give this informations to all redmi note 2 community, im happy if all we try to complete this porting
Im not a really good developer because this is my first time i successfully complete one rom from source but I like to management the people to found the solutions and working fine in squad

I get the internal error as well, I have had it from the very first bootup. I was testing things so I flashed the ROM and wiped everything numerous times and I got this every single time the phone booted up, regardless of being the first bootup after a wipe and installation or just a regular bootup.
By the way, excellent job, well done!
The previous build by lokjianming couldn't play FLAC files whatsoever. I've registered recently and couldn't make comments but sent him a message about it yet I haven't got a response. I followed the instructions carefully, made sure my FLAC files aren't damaged, made sure I wiped everything (even performed full wipe), but I got "Unknown error 1" all the time regardless of playing from the File Manager or an app. I just flashed your ROM the same way and it plays everything as it should, I am so happy
Noticed the Android security patch is from November, can that be updated?

First of all, congrats bro! Would like to thanks for sharing your first ROM based on CM :good:
Just want to know, why you don't compile and build ROM directly based on CM 13?
Is there not yet available source CM13 for hermes ATM? I have obsolete armani (Redmi 1S) running on Mokee (MK60.1) Android 6.0.1 and it works just fine with custom kernel (God's Kernel) and Xposed Framework (sdk23) with working modules!
Have a great Sunday bro!

So first of all, I appreciate your port, great to see this device receiving some love on xda.
But I am unable to boot sailfish, already wiped cache/dalvik, data, system ... after this I flashed CM13 base from the link on post, cm-13.0-20161221-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO3Y9-victara, in sequence flashed sailfishos-victara-release-2.1.3.7-STABLE1. Now after rebooting system on TWRP I am stuck on bootlogo, I tried waiting for response, but no luck.
On sailfishos-victara-release-2.1.3.7-STABLE1 flash part give me this:
"device check succeeded, mounting filesystems ...
could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata, assuming ext4
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: Device or resource busy"
in sequence :
copying filesystem archive ...
installation script...
running installation script...
flashing hybris-boot.img...
unmounting filesystems...
Done!
script succeeded: result was [Done!]
My previous OS details, aosp extended 4.6 OS version 7.1.2 Oct patch, TWRP 3.1.1-0, I was using encrypted OS, so I figured, might be It, But even after a full wipe, still stuck on bootlogo.
If anyone could help me, I really appreciate
Edit: So apparently my data and system partition are corrupted, I was able to solve by repairing the partition on advanced wipe menu in TWRP. I gonna leave this here, might help someone with same problem

Thanks
wonderful ROM
Loved the ROM works like a charm no problem except for the mic during calls, I can hear perfectly but not heard on the other side, need to turn on the loudspeaker to make/receive calls.
But using since yesterday, no reboots or whatever and will keep using it. Very smooth.
Cool!
That's cool, man. I've been waitin' for it since a lot. Thanks!

For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
NONE !!!!
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Will post a full review soon...
Just flashed it.
UI was very laggy after first boot so I did a restart and that fixed the lag.
It is smooth now with a bit of glitches here and there but smooth for most of the times.
There are no major bugs.
Everything is working fine.
Best pie ROM for osprey no doubt.
Will post if I found any bugs.

Hi, I install yesterday, all was good but this morning my phone didn't response and I need to power off with long press on the power button, after the boot all the system parameters goes to default, I configure one more time and after one hour same problem. I return to the old rom . It's a pity.
It is a excelent rom but it is not recommended to osprey with 1GB from RAM, very laggy in my XT1543. As recommendation is to include a option to remove the search bar, it is ugly and unnecessary, I think.
Hello everyone, does anyone notice that mms (image text message) is not working on any pie rom? I tried 3 different latest pie rom and same problem each time. You can send text but not images! Changing APN is useless or not working.
Except that, it seems that you've done a great job with latest rom , everything else works great ??

Why do you need a link for that!
Go to opengapps.org and download it
Its arm, 9.0 and pico or nano or mini whichever you prefer.

The kernel source will be public of course ... the rest of the source is my property, and I'll see in the future if it will be or not published !
Anyway I created my source from scratch having nothing in common with the previous developers ... as you can see there is no custom ROM with hwcomposer enabled !
But why are you interested in the source, are you a developer ? Thanks !

Well i recently started a scratch tree for venus too, but its incomplete. I was interested on what sources your rom is based. If you need help with something i could look at it and try to help.

So far in the short time. Impressive! I'm already looking forward to the first public rom. Gladly also to test.

Sure, don't worry ... I'll need some beta testers before first Beta Release of LOS 15.1 !
Please, stay tuned and follow this thread ... it takes some time until I choose a few who want to test the new custom ROM !
Good work and looking forward. May our P9 lites last longer
this is really great and promising! we certainly look forward for the future developments!
Nice! Looking forward for BT compatibility. Did someone test it with VNS-L23 devices?
Thanks for the work!
Hi !
Today I made a new TWRP 3.2.3-0 needed for LOS 15.1 - It not has decrypt data support because LOS 15.1 will not enabled such things , instead I fixed CPU temperature patch & also LED is enabled while USB connected !
This new TWRP is supposed to be used ONLY with LineageOS 15.1 Android Oreo 8.1 !

Do you know something about Bluetooth ? I didn't managed to enable it ... even if I already checked logcat & dmesg .... nothing really specifically about bluetooth !
Also you can cherry-pick the fix on TWRP for CPU temperature ... from here for your officially TWRP !
EDIT :
I guess we need also :
on init
# NXP HAL expects /dev/nq-nci
symlink /dev/pn544 /dev/nq-nci
on post-fs-data
mkdir /data/nfc 0755 nfc nfc
mkdir /data/vendor/nfc 0777 nfc nfc

No idea about bt.. Only thing i fixed is the BT crash by building the bcm hal and adding the bt_vendor config but here it fails loading the hci_module. About nfc you dont need the nq-nfc symlink because its already correct in the nfc config. And my device detects my nfc tag without problems. I can even write it..
Oh and thanks for the twrp fix!
Great news, I am really looking forward to installing it on my VNS-L21 with EMUI 5.0.4 and Android 7.0, as more and more apps stop supporting Android 7.0

Fingerprint Fixed !
I just managed to fix the fingerprint ( it will working only to unlock your device and there will be no gesture functions like on stock EMUI ) .
EDIT:
As soon as I'll fix Bluetooth there will be out the first BETA release of LOS 15.1

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

success! I was able to boot this rom but the prompt
> Unfortunately, phone has stopped (button - ok)

prompt persists even after reboot
in a way it's a step forward (?)

can confirm working
- audio (used alarm)
- flashlight
- ADB
- Sensor (auto orientation)
btw mind knowing where did cmboot.img come from? is it dedicated bootloader for cynanogenmod?

hey! why did you ignore me if I can ask?
RIL n bluetooth might be fixed but ... I can't fix WiFi due to different drivers.
These are the solutions for WiFi:
a) you make a custom kernel also a custom wifi driver from scratch
b) you compile from source with j13g's device tree
c) use stock sprdwl.ko (Won't work)
Tri's solution:
a) read that it won't be fixed
b) make logcats if you want the not working thing fixed
c) or don't download the rom........
