Enable removed Bluetooth tethering (Solved)

Ok, I know many of us USA users have had bluetooth tethering removed. And we all want it back.
I found this thread here that shows how to unlock it but for the Galaxy S3, I am sure the same methods would apply to us on the note3.
I have tried, but I don't have any luck recompiling the files. So if anyone wants to take the plunge and do this for us.
Here are the unmodified files for the Note3 USA TMobile
Update: I have installed and am using the DRAGONSAIR V3 rom. (Thanks AndieRoid for the info, And Thanks to dragonstalker for the ROM)

Possibly, But waiting for someone who has time to try and edit the framework to see if it unlocks.
I've checked through threads in US devices for s4 and note3, but no one seems to have much of a need to even be interested in looking into you. I'd say you'll still have more luck asking in device specific threads than here though
Your carrier may also have blocked it even if you could add it...

That would be wonderful if we could. AT&T= Lock Boot loader, so we have to do things the hard wary.
ATT Note 3 here with no native BT tethering in settings. I tried modifying the apk as per the tutorial with no luck. Going to try and decompile some framework apks from different Note 3 ROMs and compare to ATT version and see if I can make something work. Not too sure what else to do for now.
Edit:
Attempted to look at other Note 3 ROMs' frameworks-res.apk file. The tutorial says to add this entry: "<item>bnep\\d</item>" All of the Note 3 ROMs have a different entry "bt-pan" instead. Tried with both entries and neither is giving me the Bluetooth tether option so there is something else we are missing so we can get Bluetooth tether to show up.

Just flashed it to my note 3 tmoble USA,
It shows bluetooth tethering on the note 3, enabled it. Seem like it will work, just no way to test it as my gear does not show the setting. Trying wipe and null 11.1 I will report back soon.
Update: Still no bluetooth internet option on the gear. Must mean the note is not sending it. Any idea?

I'm not sure if this helps anyone, but the only way I got bluetooth tethering on my T-Mobile Note 3 was to install DragonsAir v3 ROM. It even works when I'm on wifi at home. I also installed Null 11.1 on the gear.

The only thing I did was install TWRP and flash DragonsAir. It's a modified version of the international stock and it's debloated. Here's the link if you want to read more on it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503860. The only not working is wifi calling and samsung video, which I can live without.

I checked and Gomdolight is for Korean version (f340 I think), are you sure you can?
(in the thread of Gomdolight, 1 guy was successfully installed, but he said nothing different, hhope he did not mean about wifi)
Could you report your try here?
Thanks in advance
Yes, I did as well and came to the same conclusion as the Dev did regarding the post stating no real changes noticeable. I plan to pm that member later on to see if he has any more feedback/advice before I commit. From what I gather the more modded features involve Korean based apps and such so for a D950 user not to notice is not surprise. I should know more tomorrow evening weather or not it is effective or not. Would do it sooner but I need to stay connected today so..... I'll keep you posted.
For me, the wifi strength is important. The rom itself does not matter.
Anyway, waiting for your post
==== edit =====
I had some time to check Gomdolight. Actually it is not a ROM, but a Modifier (remove system apps)
I don't think they change something for wifi-driver, which I believe is the problem for the weak wifi.
but just let me know how it is improved with your Gflex
thanks

Hey,my apologies to all who were waiting on the results of my attempted flash of the Gomdolite firmware mod. I'm sorry to report that although it installed successfully( albiet in a limited capacity due to variant and build discrepancies), it did not resolve my wifi woes.I will continue running Gomdolite despite that fact. Off topic and my apologies in advance, but it has improved my devices overall speed and fluidity. Hope someone has a solution soon...Btw, since my D950 doesn't have to function as my primary phone as of yesterday, (returned to Samsung, Note4) I am willing to Guinea pig for the common good of finding a resolution to our issues.Let me know if you got anything to test.

Probably stock.
Stock, rooted, heavily debloated. Runs beautifully for me and has been consistent in the 7 8 months I've had the tablet. Blisspop is a excellent AOSP ROM. If you are going that route I'd definitely recommend it. You also have lollipop now, haven't had a chance to see how it performs with TW. I'm still waiting on it for mine

Yea I read post to fast. Was on my way out. Was referring to the WiFi 8.4 in my post not realizing he was talking about LTE version. I still can't get LTE on skyhigh kernel or else I'd probably be running it too. 807 model is such a small group of people no one develops for it. Hopefully this month the LTE versions both get lollipop. Would be nice.

Thanks, I couldn't remember their model number.
I just know I bought one.
Had it delivered.
Then did a lot of cussing when I found out I couldn't even root the stupid thing.
Ended up buying a T705 from Amazon and put it in my T-Mobile plan for $10/month which gets it 3G but no calling.
Hope this dude gets notified by email whenever someone quotes him so he can cancel his T707-A order because I'm assuming that's what he's purchased from AT&T.

Are there just no debs with the a

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T707A using XDA Free mobile app
The locked bootloader on the T707 makes rooting almost impossible. However, there have been some promising developments in the last week from Team Keen, who may have found an exploitable vulnerability in the linux kernel. There are active teams working on rooting the Galaxy S6 Duos (SM-G9200) and the Galaxy Note 4 (ATT and Verizon). So I'm cautiously optimistic that if those devices can be rooted then those exploits can be ported over to the T707.

You can use the international t705 on ATT. It'll just be 3G/HSPA, no LTE.

built-in permission manager?

Hi all,
So I was testing the GN5 and came across a built-in permission manager first thing. Didn't think much of it I mean yes it's a very nice feature and all but then after I had to return the phone, I looked for other references to it online but couldn't find any. It's not available on the Galaxy A8 that's for sure.
So I'm just looking for confirmation that it does indeed exist on every other GN5 out there..

Android definitely needs something like this...
I hate downloading apps that need random permissions for things (Like a photo editor that needs to read my SMS messages) - It creeps me out and is just weird. I'm sure some permissions are innocent and others are malicious.
This feature will definitely help Android!

yup I was surprised to see it. I'll see if I can clarify with my PR contact...
I've got Android M on my Nexus 6 and that was pretty buggy. Samsung would've needed a miracle to put their touchwiz on it and maintain such stability at this time so that's highly unlikely.
I am pretty sure that ROM wasn't a 6.0 test rom, but just something Samsung cooked into the Chinese (and HK) ROM... already seen it in some Chinese N9200 before... Could be something unique to said variant, or could be something that can be triggered by change of build file...

Got it installed OTA (had to manually pull it) last night on my Tab S 10.6 Wi-Fi T800 USA. Initial impressions are that it's definitely faster & smoother. Camera seems a touch faster to launch and focus but maybe it's just the placebo effect. Too early to tell on battery life yet. I sure wish they had tweaked the ROM a bit more and dumped the Hancom Office apps and replaced them with MS Office like on the Tab S2. Oh well. I can live without the major cosmetic changes too. I definitely feel like performance is finally back to where it was when this thing ran 4.4.4. It took absolutely forever but I am glad to see Samsung finally serving us a decent 6.0.1 build to put this fine tablet out to pasture in style.
Now, how about a Tab S3 10.5 refresh with Type-C, Samsung!?
Thanks Samsung by hearing us! We love you!

Finally after months and months waiting after Marshmallow update, it's good to get it ready installed. Additionally, besides the good results testing it last day, I'd like to add that the security update is dated August, 2016, that it's good after all the issues in all Android devices due the backdoors identified and all the Trojan risks. No themes available (like at S6/S7 marshmallow versions), but more reliable and long lasting operation due the battery management. Really, really thanks Samsung! For me, Tab S still will be rocking for a while, I don't like the screen format copied from Apple in S2, I'd like the Tab S screen size 16:9 instead 4:3...no compliance, right now just compliments for you Samsung!!! I'll continue being a real fan and loyal customer for really good things, and technologically speaking, Samsung always does the best (they accepted immediately replace all Note 7 devices once they validated the battery issue, only biggest brands accepts and fix their mistakes immediately).. we're human beings!!

I'm rooted so I can't get it OTA. The New Zealand version works but I'm going to flash the U.S. version now.

How'd this work out for you? Did you flash the US version on top of the NZ version? No problems?
US Version
The US version would be the "Cellular South" firmware:

Yes I used Odin to flash it over the New Zealand version. I didn't notice any differences yet but I haven't really spent much time checking it out. I really wanted to do a factory reset before flashing but It takes me days to reinstall and reconfigure everything and I'm too lazy to go through that again.
Hi just a newbie here, I'm from the Philippines. I would like to ask if the US marshmallow update will work with my Tab S even if my Tab is not a US variant? I will do the flash thing. the size of the US update is 1.6 Gb. Thank you.
