MIUI9 has been released, and I wonder if anyone would like to have a Samsung note5 adaptation?
MIUI is a great ROM and really wants to use the latest version! But there is only an adaptation version of XDA on the miui8 at this time.

After xiaomi released miui8 patchrom, wonitor is porting a miui8 base on 6.0MM for all note4 exynos variant(n910[6]c/h/u/s/l/k) now,
I flashed a test build last night, it's not stable to use now, and some seetings dont work or FC, so wonitor is trying to fix them.
So, miui8 will be released soon. Cheers!

I'm planning to buy Mi5 (currently on Zuk Z1), but before I buy I would like to know if somebody tried to use Mi5 with Android Auto?
Does it work on Global Miui or EU ROM? Or maybe somebody tried it on official CM rom?

It should technically work with all of them.
Mine works with global stable and dev, but not China stable or dev so far in the past few months.
Rather than start another thread, Ill ask here.
Dose the MI 5 running global stock work with Android Auto in standalone mode, i.e. on the phone rather than a head unit?

Xiaomi differentiates their product by their MIUI skin. Marshmallow is the core of MIUi 8, I suspect they'll bring out MIUI 9 in the first quarter of 2017.
I'm hoping we get CM or AOSP for the Mix before then. That would be sweet

Thers is only 1 oreo rom available at this moment "pegasis rom" but it's still in beta and camera Bluetooth is not working.
If you want for daily use This is best rom in my opinion
Fast stable without any bugs
Android 7.0 with latest security patch August 2018
Comes with note 8 aircommand+live messages+oreo keyboard+ note 8 edge panels.

SAMSUNG official firmware is the best, TWRP, just debloat, have magisk, xposed & forget the rest.
Trust me it will just save lot of time.
Every custom rom for this device is all JUST TOTALLY NONSENSE, apart from moded stock rom FROM MSR.
IF YOU WANT A REFRESHING LOOK just try launchers of your desired phones or ROM.
Like oreo launchers or note 9 launchers.

I am getting my brand new note 8 soon(2 days max), i have a pie modded version of Gcam, working good on my s7 edge pie custom rom, will try on N8 and report.
You can try IDANs version of GCam, they work pretty well!

Good news, after getting my note8 on pie stock rom and after rooting and xposed, i tried the modded version of Gcam 5x with playground stickers and slow-motion, all works great and smoothly.
Will try to upload it here as so as I can get good wifi.
Any idea about a stable GCam stock/mod v7.2+ available and working in Note8?
Also, will any of the GCam version 7.2+ support astro mode on Note 8?
I am running stock pie rom, non-rooted.
Plz someone upload a working version of GCam app (if possible latest version) working for our device(if there is any though).

It can't work
Is there a version that supports switching between the two backside cameras?
Or is that option hidden somewhere in the IDan version?
