Note FE - International firmware (N935F) available to download - Samsung Galaxy Note FE Guides, News, & Discussion

So here's the old thread for when the firmwares for the SM-N935S, K and L were launched, however regardless of many tech sites saying there'd be an international Note FE launch by the end of August, there was no sign of it. September is almost over and now this has popped up on SamMobile, and I checked on SamFirm as well.
Now, weird thing is, I believe Samsung has 'pulled' it from the server, or not, since doing a query for 'SM-N935F, XME' on SamFirm yields no results, however manually entering the build number, CSC and model number will allow you to download the firmware.
This is the first sign of the 'N935F' which is supposed to be the SKU for the Intl/EU variant of the Note FE, let's hope this is true and Samsung announces it soon.
NOTE: Please do not try and flash this to your N935S, N935K or N935L. It will NOT flash through Odin, and will throw up a bootloader error since there is a model number mismatch.

Has anyone already tried to install this Korean version?

Downloading at the moment. I'll give it a try. Can't see why this was released if it cannot replace the Korean network releases.

Hi. I think it will be released only in Malaysia. But good news to the N930F users. We will be able to port that rom soon in our Note 7 [emoji6]

Doubt it'd flash on the Korean variants, but give it a try anyway.
Worst case scenario is a soft-brick which would require you to flash the Korean stock ROM.

Odin: Re-Partition operation failed." Pity.
Is there a way of getting the BTU CSC onto the K variant? Would it work? Finding I cannot receive some calls/txt, though I can make calls/txt to these numbers. Assume it's a national network thing.

i tried to flash the N935F firmware to my N935S and it failed.
i have attached screenshots of ODIN and my phone screen below

First you need to switch on "oem unlock" in developer menu. Then you need to make a custom rom. It will never work with stock rom

So does anyone know if should expect Samsung Pay to work on this CSC based on other Samsung flagships with this same CSC? At the very least, I know others who have gotten US cards to take on international variants, but I don't think that means all international regions will work.

thanks for warning me, i wont try with a custom rom. My knox is still intact.
p.s im hoping to get my CSC changed to a BTU one aswell. Hopefully the DEVs will work something out soon

It should be in Odin to change the PIT on the one from ROM 935F. Without this ROM can not be changed.

2nd N935F ROM from Arabia
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/SM-N935F/KSA/download/N935FXXU1AQI5/190183/
Did anyone noticed this:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.12.7
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.12.7
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked?
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Nice, another region has popped up! Are we aware of regions of Samsung Pay where we can load US cards for other F model Samsung flagships?

As mentioned by a user above, stock ROM for KSA (Saudi Arabia) has appeared as well. Things are looking good and hopefully a launch for the International Note FE should be around the corner.
Firmware is basically the same XXU1AQI5, but obviously with the OJV CSC since KSA is part of the OJV Multi-CSC.
Both firmwares have the 19th Sept build date, with August 1st security patch and the Blueborne fixes included in the firmware.

So can we flash this on our S & K Note FE? Just like a stock Rom? Don't want to messing with custom roms.

What is the problem with using this Korean ROM? What is different from the expected international? Will it not be possible to change to an international version with a Korean version? I mean stock without root.

You can't cause odin won't allow you. It's not the same model number. You will get an error at beginning with bootloader error. So it's impossible to install the N935F stock firmware on the Korean N935S, K, L. The only way it's with custom rom [emoji6]

I created an Odin tar with 900M 6.0.1 boot.img, recovery.img and system.img + 900F 6.0.1 beta dump of all bootloader files and modem.bin + 5.0 cache.img.
Flashed to rom with Odin and it booted perfectly!!
I will try root + xposed now and update.

Info
PDA: G900MUBU1CPC3
CSC: G900FOXA1BOJ1 (BTU)
PHONE: G900FXXU1CPB2
What did I do here?
From official 6.0.1 for G900M I took: System, kernel and recovery.
From 6.0.1 dump for 900F I took: bootloaders, modem.
From 5.0 I took BTU CSC.
With all those files I created an Odin flashable tar.
Warning: This will probably trip knox to 0x1!!
As the bootloaders are not official (dumped) and kernel if from 900M.
I don't know if Flashfire will work. My phone is already 0x1.
Rooting: Flash TWRP recovery and install SuperSU 2.68 systemless.
Xposed for touchwiz works as well, Just install it the way you know.
I've tested this after factory reset and dirty flash from leaked 6.0.1. I did not dirty flash it over 5.0 but I believe it will work with no problems.
Thanks firefds..........:good:

Based on Android 7.0, even though some rumours said it'd launch with 7.1.1 instead.
Anyway, they're live now, all ready for the launch tomorrow.
UPDATE (07-07-2017): Don't flash this on your SM-N930x phones to avoid any bootloader downgrade protection issues.
I'm sure once the phone becomes a bit more easily available, some kind Devs would port the ROM over to your OG Note 7's.
UPDATE (27-09-2017): The first International firmware (SM-N935F) has shown up on SamFirm. Move to this thread for discussion ---> https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-fe/how-to/note-fe-international-firmware-n935f-t3680098
Did you taste it on the normal n7?
I guess just trying and flashing via odin won't work? Can anyone test it?

All 3 files are now available on my website, L/K/S let's see what can be done... time will tell. The bootloader is going to be a problem plus the fact that it is now essentially another device (SM-N935X instead of SM-N930X) Same phone but another phone, lol. I think Samsung is going to "Test" the Note 8 Apps/Software with the N7FE, so... ROM developers should grab a copy of this firmware. It's not 7.1.1 as mentioned by OP but I am sure it is good enough for Samsung's N8 testing. Samsung usually use Korea as the testing ground, as they did with the Note 5 & UX (later UX was included with the N7)

N7FE-N935SKSU3AQFE-SYSTEM-CSC-BOOT_(ODEX)_TEKHD.rar
N7FE-N935SKSU3AQFE-SYSTEM-CSC-BOOT_(DEODEX)_TEKHD.rar
Edit: As suspected... there is a BixbyHome folder inside priv-app. Samsung is testing the N8 with the N7 FE. Maybe an update will activate some Bixby functionality.

I thought the new Note FE was Qualcomm Snapdragon 821?
If the Korean Note Fan Editions are all Exynos variants, then it makes sense they'll recycle the Qualcomm variants as well. Come on Samsung! Bring it to China or Hong Kong where I have friends that can help me secure a unit.

Thanks for the ROM!
Could you add WDMCA/LTE only in mobile network settings maybe?
Thanks for the ROM.
I just installed it and am having these two issues so far:
1) GPS is not working. I had the exact same thing on V2.0.0B13 M!Favor 5.0 / 7.1.1.][stock] SL!M VERSION - not sure why I'm having this issue
2) Adaway cannot update the host files, although access is granted through Magisk. I get the message"Applying the hosts file to your system failed! Try changing..." or "Copying of hosts file failed!"
I wonder if these two issues don't share the same cause?
Any ideas?
EDIT 1: is it possible this is happening because I did not wipe internal storage?
It can be, it works for me.
Hey, I tried installing this rom and somehow lost my recovery and fastboot. Whenever I try to boot to one of these, my phone blinks 3 times and shuts off or reboots when it should boot to fastboot mode. The rom is however working and I have root. But I´m stuck.. Furthermore I used the B13 universal bootstack for A2017G (this is my device). Is there a way to get one of these (twrp or fastboot) working again? I appreciate. Thanks

Samsung Health blocked sensors in South Africa version

Hi everybody,
I just bought a Note 9 (SM-N960F) from South Africa and noticed that on Samsung Health app it has blocked the Stress and SpO2 sensors due to legal reasons in that country. Contacted Samsung support and they told me it could be unblocked if I'm in a country where those sensors are allowed but the process is kind of bureaucratic. So my question is how about installing a ROM from a country where both sensors are allowed like Spain for example. Will that can solve my problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
This Article may help you: https://gs5.gadgethacks.com/how-to/...s-any-country-samsung-galaxy-devices-0159489/
Just flash an XFE ROM via Odin. you are probably on a XFA one, check your software version in settings I'm on XFE and all my sensors are working. The article in the previous post only works if your phone is rooted.
I have a XFA vodacom Note 9 which i flashed with XFE from Sammobile, used home csc in Odin to keep my data, and all sensors are working.

Thanks for the info and yes, I'm on a XFA CSC. I'm downloading an XFE XFE ROM from Sammobile. One more question, Do you downloaded version 8 or 9? I'm asking just because latest versions sometimes consumes more battery.
Thanks in advance
I'm on 9 and haven't noticed any adverse battery. If you flash 9 and don't like it toy can go back to 8, just means your will have to reset your device. When you flash XFE 9 over XFA 8 remember to select home csc so you can keep yr data.

Thanks Jostian,
Downloaded the XFE version from Sammobile but just noticed that after loading it via Odin my version is still XFA.
The stress sensor started working but I can't find the SpO2 option anywhere. Any clues?.
Thanks in advance for your help things are becoming better now. Just trying to find the SpO2 thing and why I'm still on XFA.
Still on XFA after flashing via Odin

hi,
The Stress option is is not blocked in S. A.
It's working fine.
I'm on CSC XFV/XFV /XFV
See screenshot.
It might just be a service provider,
MTN (XFA) restriction ?
As for the SpO2 menu option, it is also available, but yes, I you cannot measure .
So it's not working on my device.
Good luck
I flashed one of the Europe csc (DBT or NEE etc.) files to upgrade to Pie and then updated with xfe. And all my sensors work fine. See pic attached

Galaxy Note 9 Japan Model SC-01L

Hello,
I have a Galaxy Note 9 from Japan, model SC-01L from DOCOMO carrier (unlocked).
I need to know if I can flash another stock firmware on this device from another country.
For ex. flash any ROM of the SM-N960U from US.
Well, its a model based on the Snapdragon. Any problem or observation about the modem or bootloader?
Could someone help me?
Cheers,

Ops, the image links.
Wow what a strange phone indeed:
https://whatismyphone.com/vendors/docomo/galaxy-note-9-sc-01l
its a snapdragon. SO no idea if its anything like the n9600 or the american n960u
in both cases, i dont think you will be able to simply flash with odin any other csc firmware.
if you can root it(if it is like the n9600) then you could probably get the csc file on there manually. thats whay i do with my korean N960n , i put canadian carrier files on it manualy.
anyways good luck! (you'll be needing it..lol)

No, it doesn't work.
I've tried to flash US unbranded N960U1 (XAA) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) using modded/patched Odin and It will just fail.
However, I did manage to flash SCV40 (AU KDDI) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) without any issues. It's less bloatware compared to Docomo's Firmware maybe?
No issues with the modem, can make calls and SMS. APN auto-detected and able to use NFC.
Hope this helps!

I don't think there's anymore security updates for Note 9... the phone is already 5 years old and obsolete.

I didn't try to flash TWRP at that time and I've sold the phone long time ago. As there's no custom roms available for Japan Snapdragon variant.
