Cases - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Accessories

I know the phone is just barely released, but did anyone get a case for their phone yet? I'm looking for one that's akin to the otterbox commuter cases. They have rubber corners wrapped by a hard shell. The front is slightly raised, so the phone's screen never touches the ground with the screen down.
The official SCSG60 case looks super sleek but it looks like it blocks view of the notification led, so you'll never know if you have something waiting for you when the flap's closed. Whose decision was that? On the back, they made a hole for the camera and led flash but I don't you can't even use the camera with the flap closed, so what's the point?
I guess another thing to keep in mind with cases is whether the fingerprint sensor should be accessible for easy unlocking. Most cases will cover up all four sides of the phone.

The cutouts in back are so you can take photos with the screen flap open.
I'm looking at this roxfit one at the moment. Not too bothered about not seeing notification LED's. The Sony one looks very nice but its expensive and not out until oct 5th according to amazon.

Oh I derped out on that obvious fact didn't I? haha
Looks like roxfit has some nice bumper cases too

I wrote to the TW Devil Case and they said that soon will be avaivable aluminium bumper case and other accesories for XZ1 Compact.

I got a cheap and cheerful gel type case on ebay while waiting for a Ringke Fusion case to be available.
I've been using the same case on my Z3C for 3 years and it's served me well, so I'd like a similar one for my XZ1C.

I'm waiting for THIS or THIS, anything else is just ugly and/or too bulky.

Too bad that Sony doesn't seem to make one similar to the XZ1 SCTG50 for the Compact... That's the only case I'd consider..

I wrote to Ringke to ask for information because their quality it's amazing.
A to couple of week ago, they replied to have plans to release a case for XZ1 or XZ1 compact. Maybe if many of us request it, we will have a production line.
Here's their response
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ringke.
Unfortunately we do not have any plans for Xperia XZ1, however I will forward this to our development team.

The first one looks really, really sleek. Exactly a case I'd rock, thanks!

Went with the Roxfit
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-R...1506931996&sr=1-2&keywords=roxfit+xz1+compact
Nice enough case and fits well (as you'd expect being 'Made for Xperia') its my first ever flappy fold case so still not sure of that but otherewise happy enough. Case flap wakes phone but doesnt have any clip mechanism or magnetic clasp to hold it shut when in a phone holder etc.
Will do for now however.

Anyone know if the Xperia TGS cases are going to make it to the XZ1c? I really like one of the Pac Man ones.

Just received my two eBay cases and I am really surprised by the quality:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Sony-Xp...Case-Stand-Magnetic-Wallet-Cover/192297984822
and
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Sony-XZ...Case-Slim-Soft-Rubber-Back-Cover/182777433879
The material used for the flip case is soft and smooth while the cover itself is hard to prevent flexing, feels really premium. As for the rubber case, the XZ1C fits snug and I prefer this case over the two since it makes the phone look so sleek. The brushed backing and the rubber sides make it so much easier to grip and hold the phone. Unfortunately, its almost impossible for the fingerprint scanner to recognize my finger since the cutout for the power button is not perfectly aligned.
Please note that the flip case does not have a card pocket despite the images showing one.

Very interesting. It looks like the Ringke Fusion case has a little opening for a wrist strap. I definitely have to get this case then! I think it's a nice touch that they are catering for those who prefer a wrist strap.

Endlesstrail, are the buttons easy to press on the Ringke Fusion case? I have found that many TPU cases have very stiff button covers, so much that in order to use it comfortably I have to take a razor blade and weaken the sides of the button covers.
Thanks.

I feel the case actually adds a slight resistance to the button presses. Bear in mind that this only applies to the Ringke Fusion case I have on my Z3 Compact, which is a little over 3 years old now. The gel material could have hardened over time.

Have just ordered Yiakeng; it looks a bit different than the others in terms of button arrangement. Will report back soon.

Just got this one today:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07539PZQ1?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd
Kind of flimsy and not as protective as the TPU cases. Cutouts were decent, but the volume rocker was anchored at the volume up side and only let me adjust volume down. This one was a bit of a let-down. I don't recommend it.

Turns out the Yiakeng is the same as the Vinve case, just a different name. In the picture on Amazon, it appears to have a single volume button, but it's actually a double button, like the Vinve. The buttons are WAY too stiff, so much that the camera shutter button becomes useless, and the volume buttons are made inconvenient. So, stay away from both Yiakeng and Vinve.

What are people using for Samsung Focus cases?

What case are you using -- and if you bought it online - from where?
Thanks!
Using a Louis Vuitton case that fit the previous HTC Fuse as well. Case is no longer available from LV tho.

That one looks pretty decent from this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835323 )
Maybe move this to accessories? I don't know!
I'm using the Body Glove case they sold at AT&T.
It looks really sharp, and feels safe; it even adds some heft that gives the phone a more solid weight and feel.
My only beef with the case is that the side buttons are hard to find, and hard to feel when pressed (makes focusing while picture taking extremely difficult).
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...sku4980540&source=ECbn000000000000O#tabModule
Under comp accessories, the Body Glove item...
I'm using the CaseMate red and black case from the AT&T store. I would have preferred it in all black as opposed to the bright red, but the thing feels very safe for taking to the gym and it adds some heft to it. The raises rubber edges on the front are a nice touch too for the few times I've had the phone face down. The buttons are very easily accessible. My only gripe would be that the two level camera button is a little bit harder to get to use for focusing-- it requires a bit more finesse as a light press will go straight to taking a picture. Other than that, if you can get past the looks of it (which really aren't that bad), I think this is a fantastic case.
Here is what I got today from eBay, the seller is Bluedot.
The fit it really good. Not too tight to activate buttons, not too loose either.
The color is a really dard brown. The flash made it look lighter than it really is.

The construction seems durable. It cost $9.95 plus shipping.

This case sucks. I bought one from AT&T, and it doesn't fit correctly. You can see the gap from the case to the phone looking into the side where the power button hole is. I'm returning mine as its NOT what i would expect for $30 plus tax. Right now im using my old Nexus One pouch that i tore a small hole on the side to prevent the power button from being mushed in.
PS: to my above post. i see the same case on eBay (i have zero affiliation yet this does look authentic and not a knock off case). See
http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Louis...315509?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3360ad80b5
The top flap does not really work due to the 'extra' height of the phone itself, so i just have it naturally fold behind the phone itself. Note in the side photo it does not touch the power button, so it works well and if i need to silence an incoming call it is easy. Removing and inserting the phone is also easy.
Again, i have zero affiliation with the eBay auction yet this case works well for me.
I have an Incipio hard case that I bought at my local AT&T store. These pics are crappy but I just made them in the last five minutes.
I found this Samsung Galaxy S case at Circuit City and it fit the Focus like a glove! It's not bad, and I found it at a retail location, so that's also kind of a bonus. Hopefully more good ones will come out soon!

I've got one too. I like it, though I also don't mind that it does not cover the top, bottom, or front of the phone.
If that's a problem, then I hope you like having a bright red case because the Body Glove is awful, which leaves your only other choice the bright-red Case-Mate.
I just ordered this, its the only Snap on Hard Case i could find. Hopefully its decent, but for $6 it was worth a try.

I'm not really a case kind of guy, but do hate the glossy surface of the back of my focus. Has anyone come across any back plates for the phone with a different surface? A back cover with a soft touch material would make the phone perfect. Thanks in advance...

The invisible shield covers come in a matte style for the back of the phone. I use it and like it.
I bought this the other day,
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004DFBBCE/ref=oss_product
So far i like it, there are nobs on the side instead of cutouts for buttons, and they work as if they weren't there.
The case protects the back camera lens and covers a bit of the front. The areas where it covers on the front basically masks the edges of the screen protector, which makes it look really clean.
The added silicon near the bottom prevents my palm/fingers from accidentally pressing the capacitive keys, which are a big plus for me
Case-Mate Red/Black POP Case is the one I have, and its the best case out. I wish they made it in ALL black. The case provides great protection, Already dropped it a few times getting out of my car, and the case held up great. You buy a phone like this please dont buy cheap arse $5.00 case from ebay. Dont buy the Incipio, that case is garbage. No protection at all.

Rearth Ringke Case Review

I found out that Rearth made a case for the Nexus S and did some research by reading and watching reviews of the Evo and iPhone 4 versions. Mostly everyone gave it a thumbs up, so I gambled and bought one.
http://rearthusa.com/products-page/google1/nexus-s
The case costs $16.99. I bought the special deal pack which costs $20.99 and includes a screen protector and headphone jack plugs that they call Ringz.
First of all, the headphone plugs work fine. They do the job perfectly. Also, the screen protector is dry application, but doesn't cover the whole screen. It's similar to Martin Field's screen protector. It works fine though. I posted a picture of the top part with the case.
Now to the case. I only have 2 other cases to compare with which are the Amazer silicone case and "S" shaped TPU case (which I will refer to as S case). I'm just going to post my opinions of the pros and cons of this case. Remember, I've only had it for one day so far. Oh, the color I got is called kiwi.
Pros
The case is slim. Doesn't even feel bulky at all. The Amzer and S case adds a little bit of bulkiness that you can notice, while I barely noticed any on this case.
Easy to put on.
The USB slot, headphone jack, volume rockers, power button, camera lens, and speaker positions all fit perfectly.
Yes, the volume and power buttons are easy to press unlike the S case.
The case doesn't interfere with camera lens and flash when taking pictures unlike the Amzer case.
Not sticky. Slides in and out of my pocket fine unlike Amzer case.
Doesn't feel anything like the Amzer or S case. Has it's own type of texture and feels smooth (this one is purely my opinion).
A bunch of colors. I guess this is a pro.
Detailed. This case is detailed. They even have the little slot where you take off the battery cover at the top (I posted a picture).
Cons
Not like an Otterbox case. Of course.
May ruin the "sexiness" of the phone if you like it naked. They do have a black version though.
Price. This is objective to the user, but most of you might find that $17 for a silicone type of case is not worth it. I thought this too until I got it and played with it. I don't regret it.
I say silicone type of case because the Ringke performs in a similar way, but the material doesn't feel like silicone or TPU at all.
There are more pros then cons because I'm basically comparing it to the other 2 cases that I have. If I experience anything that I consider a con, I will add it here.
Neutral
Since I haven't used this case long enough, I'm not too sure if it's a dust magnet. The reviews I've read and watched said it barely attracted any dust at all. So far though from my one day of use, it barely attracted dust. I usually get dust around the screen with the other two cases, while I didn't with this one. I will have to get back to you on this one.
Other
As said before, it doesn't feel like silicone or TPU. It kind of has a small matte feel to it. Can't really describe it well. The closest thing it feels like is the matte part of the S case. Also softer than the S case. Haven't seen any other scratches than I had before so far.
Final Verdict?
For me, this will be my main case for now. It feels like it's part of the phone and with it on, it feels like a hard case. Maybe it's just me, but that's how it feels when I hold it in my hands.
You can Youtube ringke cases to get more opinions on it.
Here are the links to the pictures. I had more than what's allowed by xda so I posted it elsewhere. Three mirrors.

My bad. The one picture I have doesn't show it too well, but it's similar to the Martin Fields one (not Clarivue, my bad).
Here's the link: http://hemorrdroids.net/martin-fields-nexus-s-screen-protector/
Very similar. Basically, the protector doesn't touch the edge of all four sides of the screen. The top and bottom sides are more noticeable than the left and right sides. Remember, the screen protector was probably made this way because of the contour display of the phone. My cheap ones were not sticking on the top or bottom parts of the screen.

Does it look like that on the picture? *Looks back* I guess it sort of does, probably because of the flash from the camera, but the screen protector from Rearth doesn't have any holes except for the head/ear speaker piece thing (forgot what it's called). FFC still looks fine though through the camera app.
Just received my case, and wanted to post some feedback. I had ordered the special deal (audio plugs, screen protector) in black color, which looks amazing on the Nexus S. Most of my feedback really just reaffirms the OP's review.
[Pros]
- amazing detail (The outer carvings as well as trim for the buttons are meticulously crafted. It really differentiates the case from all other options. )
- perfect fit
- little to no bulk (adds the right amount of weight, and thickness to make the phone much more enjoyable to hold and less likely to slip)
- very nice button feedback
- audio plugs add a nice color touch to the phone
[Cons]
- no cons regarding the case
- screen protector included in the package falls short on the top and bottom edges *most likely due to the contour design
Overall, best case I've seen which doesn't hinder the phone's aesthetics or risk scratching the phone (ex. hard cases). A few things I would like to see is possibly more designs with different textures on the backing. The plain matte texture is nice, but I feel that it may easily show signs of wear and tear, through scratches and scuffs, although the functionality isn't compromised. Adding slight texture may also add value to the appearance of the case. Well everyone, that's it. I could add pictures if someone requests. I went with the panda scheme, black case with white audio caps.

At a glance, it seems to fit alright.
But upon close inspection, u'll find that there are linings on the inside of the cases that
Do not sit well into the grooves on the edge of the phone.
All the cut outs works fine, just the wrapping ain't perfect.

actually on the contrary, I feel the phone is much more slippery to hold with the case on. It's due to the material I guess.

[i9023] [Review] Momax iCase Pro for i9023 with lots of photos! (fits the NS4G too)

*** All the photos below are hosted on imageshack. somehow they don't show up if you're using the XDA app. So if you are viewing from your phone, please use your browser. Sorry for the inconvenience! ***
Introduction
Hi everyone, as we the i9023 users know, it's so difficult to find a case that fits our phone.
Almost every case out there are made for the slightly slimmer i9020, and they will not fit the i9023 properly.
I came across this Momax icase pro which specifically states that it is made for i9023, so i decided to give it a try.
Just to share with you guys, this is my review of the case.
The Details
I ordered mine from iooMobile. It was shipped to me within 2 weeks.
So here we go, it comes in a nice looking, well packaged box:
{

}
Out of the box, the case has a printed Momax logo at the bottom, cut-out holes are available for the 3.5mm jack, USB port, camera + flash, as well as the loud speaker.
As for the power button and volume rocker, they are covered by the soft pertruding TPU (which i didn't like, because i can't feel the buttons)
It is made of 2 different materials.
The translucent part is made of hard rigid polycarbonate plastic
The black part is made of soft TPU
The case does bulk up the phone quite a bit (it's subjective though):
So i slot the phone into the case easily due to the soft TPU edge...
Nice big and spacious cut-out holes for the 3.5mm jack, microphone and USB port
Still got lots of room to spare after plugging in, so the case doesn't obstruct anything:
camera + flash and speaker fit perfectly into the holes on the rigid polycarbonate backing
The case is tailor-made for the i9023, the TPU part wraps around the edge of the phone comfortably:
Like i mentioned earlier, i didn't like the covered up power button and volume rocker, because i cannot feel them when pressing. So i cut out the soft TPU to expose the buttons:
Overall Look
Front:
Back:
Extras
I almost threw the plastic box away, and luckily i checked.
To my surprise, it came with a screen protector and a cleaning cloth!
The Verdict
Pros:
- the rigid polycarbonate backing gives a nice solid feel. Somehow the phone feels more sturdy and well protected. Also love the texture and look of the frosted surface
- soft TPU material provides more grip when holding, also allows the phone to slip in and out of the case easily
- one of the few cases that is made for the i9023
- only US$11.50 (from ioomobile, includes a screen protector too!
Cons:
- bulks up the phone a little
- can hardly feel the buttons (volume and power) when pressing because they were covered by the soft TPU
Overall:
Awesome case at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this to all i9023 users who are looking for a decent and not expensive case. It may not be able to match up with the quality of rinke or casemate though, so this is not for users who are looking for top quality cases.

Well, the edges don't flap around easily, but they don't hug the phone tightly as well. I'm not too sure how loosely your rinke case is, are you using the rearth rinke?

Yessir I am.
Mine just shipped from HK yesterday. Can't wait for it to arrive. When the TPU covers the power button and vol. rocker, is it difficult to press the buttons? Or was it just a matter of personal preference that you didn't like having the buttons covered?

I believe it is more of a matter of personal preference.
It is not difficult to press, it is just that with the TPU covering the buttons, i cannot feel the 'click' when you pressed them, if you know what i mean. I just didn't like that haha.

Lol, yeah. I recommend everyone with a Nexus 4g, get this case. I've bought 2 other ebay cases and the Sprint black TPU case and this is my favorite.

No disrespect or anything but no direct linking to anything? Isn't that the whole point of these forums? To find and share information? I'm not being mouthy or anything but I think people should be aloud to link where they bought things. How else are other people suppose to find it? PMing everyone that wants info on it is kinda outrageous don't ya think?
I got this case for 8 bucks from the one largest online computer retailer in Canada. No links cause of the rules, but is 4 letters and starts with N. Fits perfect but not a big fan of ghe included screen protector. I would recommend this case.

This was from the pinned thread. So i guess names and brands can be mentioned, just no direct linking. So it's ok to spell out which shop you buy from as long as you don't provide a direct link or URL to the shop's website.

luckyexpress168 - Ultra Thin Slim Pu Case - quick review and pics.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/15088047618.../sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=150880476182&_rdc=1
I ordered the case on 20th August and it arrived yesterday 31st so not bad from HK to the UK signed for delivery.
The case is very slim, in one of the pics I've included a 5 pence piece for comparison, the case is almost exactly the same thickness as the coin at about 18mm closed.
It looks very smart and the chrome strip for the magnetic closure looks better than I'd expected. The case section is hard plastic like many others and has a soft neoprene style backing to it. The N7 clips in very securely (I've yet to figure out how to get it out again...) and is protected all round. All the cutouts are in the right place and nicely bevelled, the on/off switch and vol controls have their own cutouts which makes finding them easier than my previous case,
In the open stand position the nap of the cloth interior holds the N7 at the angle you want, nice touch. No auto on/off magnet, but that's just a lazy mans gimmick anyway and doesn't bother me as long as the switch is easy to get to. You can see in the second picture the speaker grill and the PU material the 'hinge' strap is made from, because of the way it's made there's a bit of rotational play to the cover when closed but not too much, time will tell if that increases or not.

Is it possible to fold the cover back completely, how does it look?
Yes it is possible, the cover folds back flat and stays flat without any pressure.
even cheaper
Found a cheaper one from the ausies for $13.4 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/ULTRA-SLIM-...ccessories&hash=item46078371f9#ht_6402wt_1194
It comes without the metallic Nexus7 part, I prefer this version.
I'd like to hear the OP thinks based on the photos, is this the same product or a cheaper/inferior replica?

Looks pretty much the same, except without the chrome strip as you say. the magnet is built in to the case so I assume there must be some metal strip in the cover to keep it shut. Auction doesn't give any details though.

I asked the ebay seller. I am afraid that the metallic label and the magnet are missing from this case. I cannot understand how it remains closed.

hhmm, maybe that's why it's cheaper? or maybe there is a metal insert inside the cover that connects with the magnet.
I just got mine in today and I actually like it a lot. It has a nice soft leather feeling in hand and the plastic back feels quite sturdy. The tablet really clicks into the back solidly, it actually takes some work to remove it from the case. The construction is pretty nice, it has the felt on the inside of the lid and the plastic, the cutouts are nice (especially the separate power button) and the magnet holds it closed firmly.
The downsides are minor, the lid is a little oversized and doesn't lock into place when closed. It can wiggle and twist around some. Other then that it looks nice and feels nice, it compliments my bulkier Portenzo case well
I've found a good use for the chrome N7 strip, I bought an Appldea Maglus stylus and it has a strong magnet in it which holds it onto the metal very securely.

Confirmed: There is no magnet in this cheaper version.
Is anyone concerned about that metal strip contacting the screen and scratching it? Looks like a nice case though. Thanks for the review and pics.

No. the magnet in the base is slightly raised so the chrome strip does not come into contact with the screen when closed. Use a screen protector anyway, they are so cheap it's daft not to.

I have this case as well, though I haven't written a review on it. My recommendation: DO NOT BUY.
First off, the biggest miss in this case is no sleep/wake magnet. On top of that, its difficult using the case as a stand for the tablet. Although the cover looks and feels good (almost like leather), $20 is way too expensive for something that is lacking a smart-cover feature, a mechanism to use it as a stand, and fake leather.

I have to disagree, Asus/Google very kindly provided us with an on/off button and I don't mind using it, I don't need a 2 cent magnet to do the job for me. I've also not had any problem using the case as a stand when I've wanted to, as explained above the nap of the cloth interior holds it nicely for me.
$20 is at the top of the cheaper end of the range but it's hardly bank robbery, I've bought a number of cheaper cases and all of them do the job to a greater or lesser extent but all of them look cheap compared to this one.
Each to their own though, ymmv etc. the world would be a dull place if we all thought the same.

DETAILED REVIEW: Sony SCR28 Sony SCR28 Style Cover Stand (with photos!)

Hey Z3TC owners! I recently picked up the Official Sony case for my Z3TC on amazon so I thought I'd do a detailed review due to the lack of them on the web. This is more of a first impressions. Type review.
Originally I purchased I purchased the IVSO case (click for link) from amazon but the Black color was not eligible for Amazon prime and Its been like 2 weeks and I still have not received the case! Hopefully it will arrive over the next couple days. I will post a review for that case when it does come. Of course 3 days later that case was eligible from Prime and they had stock in US warehouses
Yesterday while updating my amazon wish list for the holidays i noticed the SCR28 was available on prime from This vendor with free overnight shipping!! I snagged it quickly as there were only 6 available. *edit* this item is no longer available on prime
Here are my initial thoughts on this case:
1. The case has a Very slim profile. It is a Leathery yet soft-to-touch material. It is a much higher quality than the universal 8" flip cases available at best buy and local stores. The tablet is held in place by a plastic frame which fits the tablet very snug and has cut outs for all ports and buttons. In fact, the Frame was so snug it was kinda hard to snap the tablet back out. I also use a tempered glass (0.3mm) screen protector and it works fine with it.
2. The Inside of the flap is made out of a Textured Rubberized material(images D1). There is a small grove in the front flap that is the size of the tablet. When you put the tablet into the Standing position into that groove the tablet stands at 120. (See image B1 & B2) This case is also compatible with Sony magnetic chargers/docks (image C1)
There are 2 reasons why this textured material is nice
-It makes it so that you can position your tablet at other angles and it still maintains a good enough grip for your tablet not to slide around.
-When you fold the flap back it offers extra grip on your tablet so that your not holding on to the smooth leather part or slippery metal part of your tablet.]
This is one of my favorite features.
Unfortunately when folded all the way back it does cover the camera cutout. However the case folds all the way around where you don't necessarily have to leave the flap hanging down. (See image A1 & A2)
3. Theres no strap or magnet to keep the cover down but when i set it on a table it pretty much stays closed all the way and doesn't open on its on. Also the smart open/close feature is a welcomed addition to the case.
Summary
Overall The build quality is very nice and compliments the design language of this device very well. (some people may argue that at $40 USD it should be much nicer, but from whats available I think its very well built) We will see how this holds up to the generic one I Will be recieving. It is a very functional case that adds little bulk to it. However, if you are looking for something more "protective" this is probably not the case for you.

When its propped up @ 120 degree angle, where the cutout for it is. Its sturdy enough to not have to much movement when used on a flat surface. Much better than the cases where the front flap folds into 3 to prop it up.
I really like the case as well. I am a little worried about the white case... Seems like it will get dirty real quickly but that's the case for all white cases.
You can also charge on the dock with this case on.

Its a leathery material (not 100% sure if its genuine leathee or pleather) it feels *kinda* similar to the back of the z2 tab but this blackone doesnt seem to attract finger prints. Ive never been a fan of white cases cuz they age faster and turn gray! If u end up going with it please share pics!
Got mine today great case super quality and don't add no bulk to tablet thanks.

Where did you find the white case for sale? Since I have the white Z3TC i was looking for the white one as well. Sony US doesn't have any accessories for the Z3TC yet.

Sony Scr-28 Cover and Stand for XperiaTM Z3 Tablet Compact Scr-28 White
Edit: Now it is fulfilled by Amazon...bonus!
Looks like it's prime eligible too!
As far as I see from your photos, SCR28 doesn't have cut outs for magnetic charger.
So magnetic chargher can be used only with the cover open ?
I wonder if anybody had the chance to compare Sony SCR28 with MoKo Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Case - Ultra Slim Lightweight Smart (also find on Amazon)
I think these two cases are the best option for our tablet but I'm not sure if the build quality of the MoKo cover is the same as the Sony SCR28.

Correct, I dont have the dock myself but the back cover needs to be folder back or put over the dock. However I've seen the MoKo case for an iPad and the build quality to me is not as "premium" feeling. But in terms of durability I'd say on par with eachother.

VSTN
IVSO
One is for back up. Im currently using the VSTN one. Its very thin and comparable to the Nillkin tempered glass I have on my z2 Phone. Basically edge to edge. However there is one review that says its not made out of glass and its plastic. The one i received wasn't as bendy as this persons review shows & it feels like glass to me!

Are you using the controller mount with the case?
I got this case for free when I bought my XZ3TC and I'm very happy with it. Soft touch, nice grip. Premium feeling.
The only disavantage I found it's that you have to open it in order to use the magnetic charger as I never open the flaps.
I got the 32 GB black model and decided to try the white case. After three weeks the case is as clean as the first day.
