Scratches - LG Watch Sport

Hey all,
Actually really enjoy the watch, but it scratches so easily! And I actually mean the body/chassis and strap. Does anyone have a solution as to how to either repair, sand or anything else....?

Must be lucky, been a daily wearer for 5 months and not a mark yet!

Scratches on the back panel

Ok so I might be selling my galaxy s. Its in very good condition, never dropped and all, but the back has lots of slight scratches. None are deep, so my question is; does anyone know how to remove them?
I have tried brasso, it didn't really seem to help, it might have made matters worse actually. I need some sort of polish I guess, and I wouldn't like to spend much, unless I really have to. Anyone managed to sort this out before?
Thanks.
Rear case is far to thin to mess with . You might be better sourcing a replacement from Ebay .
Alternative would be to buy a case in stick phone in that when selling .

Just don't get too much attached to things. Just use the phone carefully and swap it with a Replacement Backplate when you have too many scratches.
Man how you get scratches in the back? I have mine since september and still no scratches. The only thing you can do now is buy a new back-thing. The back is plastic so polish won't help I think (tried on my last phone and just got more scratches ).

Galaxy Gear Scratches?

Today is my first whole day with my new gear that arrived yesterday, and I already have a small scratch on my screen. I'm very anal about my devices, so I might be upset over something stupid, but I wanted to see if other owners have experienced any scratches on their gears..? I take extreme care over my devices -- never drop or bang my devices against anything to cause it any physical and/or internal harm (knock on wood). How is everyone else's gear holding up? Any scratches so far?
Use a Screen protector if worried about scratch

Use a screen protector, they are available on eBay and elsewhere and they are cheap and they are barely noticeable if applied correctly. I use a wet type from Extreme Guard with no problems.

Can I ask if the wet screen guards are harmful for the device or not, I know Gear is non-water resistant, I bought a wet guard without knowing it from e-bay

The Gear is Water resistant but not water proof meaning minor splashes should not harm it but a submersion in water would not be good so applying a wet application screen protector using the same precautions that you would use on a phone should be safe. Just moisten the screen protector with sufficient water to allow for application and you should have no problem and wipe off any excess water immediately. I currently have a wet application screen protector on mine and had no problems and I've also been caught in the rain a few time with it and have had a few splashes of water on it with no problems. To understand how the gear is assembled there are a few YouTube videos on a tear down of the gear so you can see how it is protected and made, which I found reassuring to ease my mind on water exposure. Hope this answers your question.

It came and installed it with water, works like a charm and even the scratch in the middle became invisible now... I like my Gear more than anything now

Cracks

I thought I had a very fine barely noticeable scratch both on the front and back glass. There is nothing in my pocket or where I place my phone usually that would scratch it(plus isn't it gorilla glass 5?).
Anyway, now I look at the back and that very fine scratch has expanded... GREAT, it's not a scratch but a crack. The front is staying put but the back crack is spreading and now split off to form another one. It is very tiny and you have to angle the phone to see it.
This phone has never been dropped. I don't put it in my back pocket. Nothing has ever been placed or dropped on top of it. WTF?
Anyone else have this problem. I doubt this is covered under warranty. I am so pissed. My last couple phones have been disasters. I need to stop buying phones right after they come out... (all though that might not help as the nexus 6p I had didn't have problems for a year. argh! why do phones suck these days)
It sounds like a manufacturer defect. And that's difficult because you have to prove that. Perhaps you can just go into wherever you got it or to a carrier store and talk to them and explain. They might be cool with replacing it.
I've read a lot of posts around talking about how this phone scratches easily. It's actually got me considering putting on a screen protector and I've never done that before.
Could the crack possibly be due to heat causing the expansion of the glass? I'm thinking perhaps the gap everyone talks about on the note 3 note 4 etc models is for that reason. To allow the glass some space when it gets hot.
Just my thoughts.

I have the light leak along the sides, but it is not caused by a gap in the glass. It's the black along the edges of the screen not being all the way to the very bottom.

I have yet to join an XDA forum regarding all the mobiles I have owned in recent years and not found one of these threads.
Some peers actually claim to have had their screen crack overnight while on the bed side table? And so it goes on. Its a mystery?
I have seen an 18" dia ships porthole 1.5" thick get dropped and not break yet overnight while standing in a wooden jig they have broken! Glass is an inherently odd material and I have no idea what you are going to do to resolve this situation? This phenomena can happen but its generally owners who, either known or unkown, break the glass.
Where is the crack? Can you possibly post a photo? This would be invaluable to asses what may have accurd.
This could be difficult for you to resolve. Have you insured it?

I noticed I have a crack on the back as well. Been in a case since I got it and no drops, but still a crack. Don't know how it got there, but at least I can't see it

I was on the Verizon support site tonight. There are a small number of people there who are complaining about this exact thing.

Rim chrome

I have the phone for 5 days now and notice some scratches on the rim. Is it really easily scratched? Just to confirm, it is made of plastic, right?

The screen wouldn't get scratches easily but the fingerprint sensor is plastic!

I don't know what it is made from, but the pregnant camera bump is why I didn't use this phone for a few days until I got my case shipped to me. The g5 had issues with scratches, cracks, and dings on the camera so I took that as a warning since the g5/g5s are pretty much the same design as far as the camera goes.
If you have had it for only 5 days can't you return it and get a replacement? I guess that depends on where you got it from, but usually you have a week of two to exchange it. Just make something up as an excuse - software problem, etc - so they don't notice the scratches right away
...and if you can exchange it & decide to get another g5s plus - get a case too.

Matt side frame coating chips too easy?

Hi people!
I got my Pixel 4 XL two weeks ago, basically the phone lives in my pocket nothing beside it. Never dropped or hit it anywhere. This morning I noticed a very small chip on the matt side frame on the top right corner. It is not a big chip, but I can see the bare metal under it. It is really annoying because as I mentioned I was really careful with the phone, I can't imagine what would have happened if I dropped it.
Is it normal? Anyone experienced the same issue?

I think someone else has a thread of a similar situation. I swap between 3 different cases all the time (One case is pretty tight) and my sides are just fine.

Yes mine has Matt paint coming off has been in case since day 1 took case off and the two bottom corners have worn off not happy at all and never once dropped my phone and the case I used is ringke case now I'm using Incipio case
I have multiple cases and swap multiple times a week and have no issues. Ranging from the otterbox to the Google fabric case.
Thanks for the input guys,
The issue is that I don't even use any case. So it is not like the case is too tight and ripping the coating off. I don't have a case on it because I hate the bulk. I got a 2 years old Pixel 2 with only a dbrand skin on the back, never had a case on it. I just removed the skin when I got my 4XL and basically the phone is in pristine condition. It just annoys me that my P4XL shows wear in few weeks.
Basically it got damaged in my pockets somehow, which is weird because I always make sure I don't have any debris in it and I never put anything else in my pocket.
Also, I have never dropped it. Anyway, it seems like I need to get a rubber case or something if I don't want the whole thing to come off by the end of this year.

Get a thin case and I would recommend contacting support and see if they would do a RMA for you. Doesn't hurt to try before they start giving out refurbished replacements.
