New 4x not showing app screen - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

Hi, a brand new Redmi note 4x (4gb Ram 64 Rom), when I turn it on it starts but then stops at the second screen, which consists of a figure 8 logo and this text underneath: MIUI8. The screen just stays like that. Any ideas? Thanks

There will be an arrow button click on that .

Thanks, got it sorted. By the way, would you know whether a screen protector is needed, or is the original Xiaomi screen scratch resistant?

N7000 From Black To White

I've just cracked my screen, and now I'm going to buy a replacement on eBay.
My N7000 is black, and I'm thinking about buying the white screen, it comes with almost everything on the front of the phone, frame, screen, touch and digitizer, is it the same only changing the color?
Will it work the same? Or does it have any incompatibilty?
Thank you!
should be the same logically
You should make sure that it has the same exact version, because Samsung generally, and GNote (N7000) specifically has some different version.
I have a black note and most of my friends have a white one... Of course all the functionalities are the same if the model number is the same but I feel that the black one is slightly better to hold and feels sleeker in the hand.. Also when the screen is off it looks like the entire phone is the screen.. Just looks good
You should stay at the black one because the white one's bezel gets very quick damaged like that one's

Actually that's not a problem my friend, I've bought it with everything on the front of the phone, including the center button.
Here's the white one I was contemplating to buy.

Do you have a screen protector or case that is covering the proximity sensor next to the earpiece? That could be it

I'm willing to bet its the default screen protector. It doesn't have a cutout and makes the proximity sensor go crazy. Your phone thinks its in your pocket which is why active notifications aren't coming on. I had a similar issue with my screen staying off during calls, and not being able to turn the screen back on because the phone thought my face was next to it. Take off the screen protector and I bet your issue goes away.

Yea, I'm willing to bet the sensor is freaking out. And two of you in this thread that have the problem also have the original screen protector on that blocks the sensor, so it seems most likely.

Yeah I still used the original screen protector that is coming out from the box so it still look like a brand new phone . well you know the reason I did that because too lazy to get a new screen protector but don't you think default screen protector that came right from the box is too thin that will make the sensor went crazy ? I mean that's only my thought from logical point of view .

The original screen protector was making my phone go nuts. As soon as i took it off, the issue went away. My issue was that when I was on a call, my face being next to the phone would trigger the screen to go black (as it should). But then when taken away, it would stay black, because the screen protector was messing with the sensor.

Well thank's pyro, even I haven't tried out yet but I will do that and thx for the heads up about the screen protector. you know funny thing, even lot's of people loves Nexus 5, Damn I'm more prefer nexus 5 since the battery is like a beast its like Toyota Prius .
I wish for the next gen of phone Motorola will make this feature as their patent and will be the only phone that will have this kind of feature and also for google nexus too.

Note 9 problem: showing annoying line just around where the curve starts

Hi guys,
Not sure if you guys are experiencing the same thing, but just noticed thin light line running from the top to the bottom of
the screen on both sides just where the curve starts and it is very visible on white backgrounds. Could it be the refractions
from the tempered glass protector? Could it be hardware issue? Not sure. Can't replicate the problem
because screen capture won't pick it up and I transferred the white background to my computer and it's not there,
The phone is 1 month old, international variant N9600 and running android 8.1. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
First thing I'd do is remove the screen protector and second thing take a picture. Choose your order.

After my screen replacment

Hi all,
hopefully this is in the correct section.
I recently had my 9t pro screen replaced, after the replacement it now works fine & even the fingerprint scanner is working good, however the actual view size looks smaller. I can see this in one of the apps is cutting off some of the icons down the left & right hand sides of the screen, not in a huge was but enough to miss off the notifiacation number on the top corner of the app.
My question is that even though i know the 9t pro & 9t have slightly different screens as in Super & standard amoled can that affect the screen size? It has been repaired by a 3rd party & not Xiaomi.
I have 2 photos but was unable to attach them .
Any advice would be appreciated.
Kind regards.

Hi, thanks for that, do you mean that there should be no minimal black border at all?

So forgive my lack of knowledge but will it be because the replacement glass is not as higher quality as the original, will that be because it's the cheaper option & I wont be able to get a similar quality to my original as I was thinking of sending it back because of this.

Actually, it is not the right section, it is for different phone, for Mi 9 (without "T Pro"):
Mi 9 / Q&A
For your 9T Pro the right section would be:
Mi 9T Pro / Q & A
or
Mi 9T Pro / Accessories

Question Screen flex in fingerprint area Oneplus 10 Pro?

Hi!
Just got my Oneplus 10 Pro and noticed by accident that when I press a little bit harder than normal in the middle of the screen around the fingerprint sensor area the screen flexes a bit, I can feel how the screen flexes in and out with my thumbs.
Is this normal?

Mine does not.. Get the phone out of it's case and try again, I can't feel any flex, I've removed my screen protector too. Screen is easily strong enough to live without one.

Thanks for the reply, the flex I am talking about is that when I press the middle of the screen in the area around the fingerprint sensor I can feel the screen going in and then pop out again, like there is no adhesive in that area or that the construction is "hollow" The screen is rigid with no flex in all other areas but this area.
Yea that definitely doesn't sound right to me.
Send it back.
You could apply pressure and heat but honestly why should you? You could break the screen doing so... Send it back I'd say buddy
Here is a video of the issue, you can hear a slight popping noise when it flexes.

Just an update. Got the phone back from service from Oneplus in Poland last week and they fixed the issue, the phone also arrived back in perfect condition. So I am superhappy! Glad I sent it because it clearly was not normal. Now the screen is perfectly sturdy and does not flex at all. Thanks for the advice!

Glad you've got it sorted, was just likely some glue being absent from the back.
