Yes, it is for complete A3500XX series, however I give you a tip: delete assert lines from updater-script, because my recovery is setted to "Lenovo A3500" device name that can cause zip flash errors (7)

Ah, alright... Thanks flashing viperOS didn't gave errors, also backup restore worked, only backup files needed to be pushed to the new twrp folder from your twrp as it creates a different folder (called "0000000000" previous was "Lenovo A3500 HV), so first time looking for my older backups gives empty folder, also twrp reboot works only in specific situations and isn't reliable but other than that it's all fine...

I know that there is a problem with reboot button and rebooting via it, and I don't know how to fix it so... You can use workaround and type "reboot" in TWRP terminal

Here's a TWRP for Lenovo a3500 from liquidporting©
TWRP 3.1.1-4
unfortunately not working because the overall size of the file is to big, I already tried to decompile the image and deleted all languages except English and I deleted SuperSU but when recompiled the size still is to big...
Maybe you want to have look at it to find a solution?
--------------
Edit: if you don't want me to post it @Khaos shoot me a PM and I'll delete it

You did flash the TWRP file, right?
You should be able to get there by pressing power & vol up + down simultaneously...
If not you didn't flash it right!

Hm, no idea... Maybe SPFT fails after all...
You could still use kingroot to get temporarily root privileges on stock ROM, then use flashify or rashr (app from Playstore) to flash the img to recovery partition - it may be that you'll need instantly boot to recovery without failure to make TWRP stick, otherwise stock kernel could overwrite TWRP with stock recovery...
But I honestly recommend you TWRP 3.0.2 as it is more functional (sorry OP, no offense)...

1) Does this version of TWRP fit the model A3500-H (59-411876)?
2) Can I make a flash if I have CWM at the moment?

Says you have to learn how to touch to use this recovery? Well I flashed and can't figure out how to make it work. I use the same recovery on my 6p and it works great. What is the trick to make 3.0 work on the tab? Really appreciate your work in this tab as I haven't even picked it up in over a year until I saw the good work you've accomplished.

Touch is not working correctly.if u touch wipe the reboot option is pressed and so on. I have mastered where to touch.
But twrp 3.0 is not really important at the moment. I just posted it so that tab 3 217s will have everything updated.now cm13 roms are getting ready to upload.

@Dark Frenzy and lilferraro . Thank you guys for the awesome collection of ROMs, kernels built from source to choose from , and for leaving nothing out. And even going as far as the updated 3.0 twrp recovery with f2fs support. And thanks to you gentlemen I'm no longer on kit kat 4.4.2 and now I'm rockin cm 13 -6.0 marshmallow. Flashed the test kernel zip which by the way is working really well. One thing I did notice was how good the WiFi signal is compared to what it was on 4.4.2 and I'm very happy about that because that was a huge issue that this tab had while on stock firmware. Baseband is not listed in settings . battery drain is not bad (using kernel auditor apk ) although in the thread Performance Control is recommended but I always keep an extra charger with me . This thing is running smooth . just flashed alpha 4.0 xposed framework ver.80 zip. And now running xposed. Just wanted to hit the thank you button a couple of times in the threads and to say thank you for all of this .. You guys make one bad @$$ team.
A request for the SM-T211.....would be beneficial

Yes, I haven't tried the non-F2FS one, yet.
Is TWRP 3.0 required to flash the MM roms? Or will another one work? I am wondering if the trouble I am having installing ROMs right now may be coming from using the new recovery.

Use Flashify from playstore ..
You can root using KingUser apk .. if not successful use odin to flash TWRP from twrp.me but in tar file .. You can flash custom roms from there ..

Install Custom Recovery
TWRP 3.0.2 by jemmini and megthebest
TWRP by Sujejsjejej
1. Extract the MediaTek USB VCOM drivers.zip file and install the Preloader VCOM drivers by running the InstallDriver.exe file.
2. Extract the SP flash tool file and run flash tool.exe.
3. Extract the content of the ROM archive.
*Just only a compatible scatter file is enough for this process but for safety reasons I recommend to use the one contained by the folder of a factory ROM package, that you downloaded from this official site.
4. Open the scatter file, that you can find in the ROM folder.
5. Leave only the recovery line checked, then double click on its Location field and brows for your device specific custom recovery image file, that you can find in the list above.
6. Click on the Download button and connect your phone to a USB port of your computer. The flashing process will start automatically and it needs just a few seconds.*
*At some models you have to press one of the volume buttons while connecting to USB but most of them don't need it and you mustn't press any of the buttons.
7. Now the custom recovery has been flashed. You may remove the USB cable. You can boot your phone into recovery by powering it on while pressing the volume up button. At some models this action starts the bootloader mode and you can boot into recovery from its menu. In such menus you can navigate with the vol-up button and select an item with the vol-down button.
Rooting
Installation
1. Download the SuperSu from the link below.
2. Transfer the zip files to your Internal Storage/SD card.
3. Reboot to recovery mode.
4. Optional: Do nandroid backup.
5. Locate the SuperSu and install.
6. Wipe cache/dalvik.
7. Reboot to system.

6. What is Secure boot img.?
Answer:
The factory boot images of UMi Super ROMs are insecured (unlocked), that make some security sensitive apps (banking apps typically) useless since they refuse to run with a root access alert.
To solve a such issue, you may replace the factory boot image by the following secured (locked) one. Just download this image file, then in the flasher window double click on the path field of the boot partition and brows for this file.

Better to say: no thread without the Jemmini TWRP's.
Because Umi Super is one of the "bad boy" and need a kernel fix for touch screen (jemmini is the Master for this..)
So many thanks to Jemmini, and is correct to wait for his link about TWRP (please also donate to jemmini for his great work).

What means "scatter file invalid" in the SP Flash Tool? I get this with the latest ROM version after extraction and trying to use the .txt Scatter file in the Tool!?
Does it matter if I have running the latest ROM version on my phone and use the Scatter file from a previous ROM file in order to install TWRP only?

DEVICE SPECIFIC TWRP
Device specific TWRP are discontinued!
Please note: our kernel detects your Tab2 variant at boot and chooses the right driver and config for your device! In some cases (e.g. if the mainboard or the screen got replaced) your device variant isn't detected right and it will use wrong driver!
I am not sure how many user are affected, but in such case we can skip the intelligent board detection and hardcode the variant.
Attached device specific TWRP should work to flash latest Android 7 builds.
Feel free to buy me a coconut water if it helped you to keep your Tab still, after many years, almost up to date.
Old recovery threads have been closed because device specific recoveries are discontinued and cwm & philz touch are not maintained anymore.
Let's keep this thread on topic here please:
- No rom questions
- no questions about other recoveries
- make sure posting a recovery.log, maybe dmesg if you have issues on this common twrp

Yeah, it is ok. I'll upload it tomorrow to androidfilehost. It was a quick test to check if eMMC 4.5 work fine (some tab2 seem to have newer emmc, because of that current twrp wasn't able to use the emmc and flashing wasn't possible. Its also the reason why latest builds don't boot on some tab2 and getting only a black screen).

hey man, thank you for the recovery and ROM. I am currently running the official kitkat cyanogenmod on the old recovery. So to install and use this recovery, do I just flash it using the current recovery, or is there some other steps i need to follow?

Take zip twrp , sent zip to SD & install via recovery...Or take .tar-md5 file and flash it with Odin... From here by Andi : https://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html (you must read first)
Windows Defender detected a Trojan in the latest TWRP zip (3.0.2-8).
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...d44fd3d141077f60723133fd33b53c552b55892a840a0
Not sure if it's a false positive, or if maybe the Android File Host mirror was infected.
Update: I searched the md5 in VirusTotal and it came up clean
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/...86575991df34d1ebd93aaf4a6fea9bf9f4c/analysis/
I also redownloaded the zip file a 2nd time, with no virus warning. So looks like it was a false alarm.
I use 3.0.3-0 .... Excellent ! Thanks Andi
I have tried the common 3.0.3-0 on my tab 2 7.0 (p3110) but it installs larger than the screen and the touch wont work, connected mouse to OTG but nothing would work. ended up forcing a shutdown and reflash old version.

It's vanilla TWRP from official sources. If the official ones do, so will this.
I haven't used Aroma from quite some time now.
Test it and let me know if it works.

The Chinese TWRP 3.0.2.0 is quite big so I think they maybe use Lolilop prebuild kernel with build-in .dt file.
I don't know how your TWRP Build but the Chinese TWRP and Sevenmaxs's can not install Aroma.
But my TWRP 2.8 can install well.
