recovery files after reset - Nokia 8 Questions & Answers

Last week my Nokia 8 device was unexpected factory reset during the night. I have some important files without sync. How I can recover these files?

There are tools you can try to recover the data with. It's not guaranteed though that it will work if the internal storage was wiped too. Here's one tool (have no experience of it) and you can easily Google for more.

restore data from unrooted xperia Z C6603

Hello,
is there any possibility to restore back contents from phone after factory reset?
i checked couple of softwares online such as fonepaw and jihosoft, both on trial and not willing to pay 50$ for a failure.
plus, they both require the phone to be rooted to be able to scan more but i've been trying since 2 days with no luck.
Thanks in advanced.
Edit: it's a 5.1.1 , build 10.7.A.0.222

OK so you have to root your phone and then install an app from play store called GT Recovery
Ok great.... Will give it a try.
Will it be able to restore back applications and its contents?
Such as whatsapp and the relevant chat?

Imei Problem

Hey guys, I need some help here... I've flashed my R1HD and selected the format all + download option , obviously I bricked my phone,:silly: finally I could bring it back to live (with the preloader of the 6.6 version and the files of the 6.4 version) but in the process the IMEIS were erased and I haven't been able to restore them. I've tried 8 different methods and still they're null so if anyone knows a method that actually works in this especific model (tasted) or send me a twrp back up of your system to check I'm not missing some file... I would be Thankfull. :fingers-crossed:

You have already made pretty big mistake, imo. You used preloader from 6.6. So now you will no longer be able to use sp flashtool. But your choice. Here is what I have for imei
There is program that works to set imei.
Maui meta. I'll update with the website

Oh so you didn't use preloader from 6.6 maybe the 6.6 safe rom preloader then. Either way that's good that it works with spft.
I tested with it and did two walk through with people who did format all. They both said now there eimi problem was solved. I was able to make my imei show as different numbers but my db file wasn't formated like there's. That's why I included the device db file.
Also as side note the 7.4. update changes database files again but not the imei. to add band 12

Oops. That shouldn't be needed with Maui. I was first thing to get a different imei program to work and that one needed the file. I just included it by default. You don't need it.

So how did you restore the IMEI. My phone has a 15 digit IMEI but the tool only accepts 14 digit.
Edit: NEVERMIND. Didn't read the first link. I suggest everyone do so. It explains the 15th digit!

Data recovery question

I unlocked my bootloader and realized i forgot to save some files. Is there any way of attempting a recovery? I am trying recuva but it is not reading my nexus 6. Weird because prior, my computer read my nexus as a drive now it a portal device. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

No, unlocking bootloader wipes all data.

Probably Windows PC, a wiped/empty device is a portable drive; a different driver is used.

Corrupted /data

So apperently because of a restore of an incomplete backup using twrp my phone got bricked. I unbricked it using huawei mt but my /data partition is not mounting because of which the phone won't boot(this is based on my observations and I could be wrong but I am unable to mount /data). I know there is a way to format/repair the /data using adb but idk how to. A lil help would be appreciated.

No I didn't. I tried rooting it to get LineageOS onto it. I just need a way to get the original storage onto it again.
