I just wanted to write about it. I cannot root the firmware, or more precisely I cannot flash TWRP. All I can get is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

sending 'recovery' (26226 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.209s]

Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem, installed this firmware via dload method, it also updated modem version, did factory reset and tried to flash TWRP and I got that problem.. Tried to relock bootloader, it didnt work.. When I run the command it says my bootloader is unlocked. I think we have some issues with this firmware. lol

Try to unlock your bootloader again.

Very strange. I had same problem with same message " FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)", but, when I re-unlocked the bootloader , I resolved the problem.

In my case it did not work so I guess that in my case the ROM cannot be rooted but I have to write some impressions about the ROM compared to v.403 (contrary to its number v.403 is around 4 months EARLIER than b.399).
I write about my case only. Your mileage can vary.
v.399 feels less swift than v.403 (but ain’t bad anyway), moreover it brought me some games that I do not need because I do not play any games with my P8 (Dragon Mania, Puzzle Pets, Spider-Man, there is an app called Vmall). Pity that the ROM is not clean but never mind.
There is one thing that makes me love this ROM, the battery life is simply second to none. I talk around 60-90 minutes every day as well as I videocall several minutes daily (Skype Lite), send messages to my friends (WhatsApp), surf pretty intensively, check my email, use my bank app, and use some other apps. With v.403 I had to charge my P8 every morning. With v.399 if I charge my smartphone in the morning I can charge it next day but in the evening, or if I use it less intensively even after 2 days. Maybe the ROM is so good, or maybe it blocked some battery hungry apps that needed root acccess (I used Battery Charge Limit, AdAway, L-Speed, System App Remover, and Magisk with some audio modules).
I will call a spade a spade, it will be very nice if I will be able to root my P8 but if not I will not grumble anyway.

File system slow in recovery. Can't flash ROMS.

Hello!
Having a pretty big problem, as I am trying to help my girlfriend get her phone all recovered and usable again for her. On our HTC Ones, we both use Android Revolution HD and were updating to the latest (4.4 version). With my phone, the installation of TWRP 2.6.3.3, then the rom went completely fine.
On her phone, it is going terribly. I made one mistake and forgot to copy the ROM over to the device before I wiped her system, so I don't have the new file to flash. I attempted to flash the old ROM, which was sitting on her device, but it is extremely slow to the point of we waited about an hour or two and it never installed. I have attempted to sideload, but the file is copying much slower than expected. Heck, everything involving the filesystem is running slow, even data wipes! I tried a full system erase, so now I am at a position where we have no flashable ROMS on the device.
I have tried both adb push and adb sideload to send the file, and both never successfully complete, even after waiting hours.
Where do I go from here? Any idea why flashing roms and file system is running so slow?

I tried this already. I know this is not the cause as installing a zip of a new rom literally takes about 2 hours to write to the system.
Even a fastboot flash recovery takes about 30 seconds on her device, tested with multiple cables on two macbook pros. My HTC One flashed normally in less than a second...
When I flashed recovery:
MacBookownloads limitin$ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (9184 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.333s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.696s]
finished. total time: 2.029s
When I flashed her phone with the same recovery file (TWRP 2.6.3.3):
MacBookownloads limitin$ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (9948 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.450s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 35.708s]
finished. total time: 37.158s
Same phone. Some hboot version. Only thing I had to do to hers first (I had done mine previously) was use revone to s-off her device, which was successful after a few attempts.

i also have same poblem d415
me too...same problem D415 tmobile version
Does anyone with this problem have an lg d-415 and android with root? Because I think these commands in a terminal emulator or in an adb shell will fix fastboot:
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
Or if that doesn't work try this >> https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg...ick-hard-bricked-l90-variants-t3173429/page24
I think this problem is caused by people not unlocking the bootloader.
Same error on LG D415

PLEASE HELP. I'm getting the same error on my LG D415. They said on the other thread that this variant comes with the bootloader already unlocked but whenever i try to enter a command (e.g fastboot flash laf laf.img) or pretty much every command I enter (except fastboot getvar all and fastboot devices), I get the same message FAILED (remote: unknown command). My android is now stuck on the T-mobile logo whenever I try to power it up and I can't flash because download mode has been replaced with fastboot.

Request OEM unlock Huawei P10

Hi all,
I have an incorrect firmware installed for my P10 and lots of things are not working (oreo 8.0). I want to re-flash or rollback to other firmwares but problem is I can't get into TWRP anymore. flashing it doesn't work and although I see in fastboot Phone Unlocked and FRP unlock i have the idea it has to do with the OEM unlock not working properly. It's also not available in the developer options. What;s exactly the link to huawei's page where you can request your phone unlock ID ?
Thanks

First of all, I've tried to update from Nougat to Orea via Blackballs method in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-plus/development/oreo-update-thread-l29c432-t3729907 with the firmware mentioned there
What is not working:
I've managed to do the first part (oreo install), but:
- SImcard has 'No service
- Can't flash TWRP
- Bootloader / phone locked in Fastboot
- I can't remember how I unlocked the P10 last year (I have a P10 L09-VTR, rebranded to L29-VTR and now 'working' on a VKY P10 plus rom)

Bricked P9

Hi there! So, I unlocked my bootloader yesterday and I've been trying to install a custom rom, no luck at all, it doesn't boot. It just stays in a bootloop. I think that's because I wiped the system and data instead of just wiping data then performing a factory reset, how it told me in the installation guide. Now, I have a european EVA-L09 with a unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. What can i do to get it boot up? Thanks in advance
Try with HWOTA by installing the same stock ROM you had before messing up
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Btw, Huawei portal for Bootloader codes was down for days - was it up now again or you paid for DC Unlocker
If u can boot device to fastboot, you can flash boot.img, recovery.img system.img and cust.img trough command prompt to boot up phone. Previously extract those 4 files from update.app with Huawei Update Extractor.

Hi guys , i was running AOSIP PIE rooted and bootloader unlocked. I did an update of Magisk. I followed this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...g-to-t3932203/ for last solution .
But unfortunatly i can't flash VENDOR.img in fastboot , i can flash all except VENDOR.img it says

I booted into fastboot, flashed the individual firmware files and it kept failing on the vendor.
I had a black screen with a red flashing LED on reboot. I claimed on my insurance and they replaced the board on the phone.
I checked on here and online for a resolution and it generally points to a hard brick.

You must use OTG! Probably Flashify borked a partition, but i don't think it borked vendor.
However, you should still be able to flash a FullOTA with TWRP + NoCheck combo.
If you can't manage that, hit me on Telegram,i'm @Pretoriano80 in there!
You can flash EMUI based FW using an OTA method. It should work. But it will lock your bootloader and you will have to unlock it again.
