Hi,
I have adb/fastboot/twrp ready and flashed both twrp (some unoffical 3.1.1-r1 :/) to recovery and the boot_NMA26.42-75.img to boot. I downloaded the lineage-14.1-20171017-UNOFFICAL-perry (twrp said so after I tried the nikolaus) and tried to install it via twrp. Not working: the Error I get:
could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system, assuming ext4
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: No such file or directory
unmount of system failed: no such volume
Patching bla bla bla
E1001: Failed to update system image.
and the rest, error installing etc., if needed I will write it down.
I wiped the partitions and tried to repair system, no change
I guess that I did something wrong somewhere on the trail behind me, but I don't know where. Help? :|

Ok, I flashed another twrp from here, because I guessed that I had the wrong recovery installed, maybe :/

And it kinda worked and looked better, but still: cannot install lineage-14.1-20171017-UNOFFICAL-nicklaus.zip
Error changed to:
E3004: This package is for device: nicklaus, nicklaus, nicklaus [and a few times more]; this device is droi6735m_35u_m1.
I am going to look what that means, but help would be appreciated

Try install ressurection remix 5.8.5. Works fine.

Well, can't find the resurrection remix, and why should I flash another recovery?
The last one actually works very well. I don't know if the error I get has something to do with the recovery, that's just a guess.

Ok, I tried to install the resurrection remix without another twrp flash (because mine seems fine, but maybe I am missing something here) but the file I got throws the error invalid zip file format.
Well I am stuck :/, don't understand any of these errors..

on XT1771 not working at all, work only with one mod of twrp 3.1.1 but unfortunatelly this one want flash none of customs roms like lineage or RR oryginal rom showing niklaus, after flashing twrp showing device is perry, I guess there is a mismatch with twrp-flash roms-xt1771 not xt1770/72/73 isn it?

I have installed RR 5.8.5 unofficial on Moto E4 Plus XT1770. It works smooths. Except there is video recording not working, Screen cast not working, Dolby Atmos removed.
If any one have Lineage 15 for Moto E4 Plus XT1770 Mediatek then pls share link here ....
On the lineage os 14.1, i had to remove the lines to verify the device on the updater-script to flash on a xt1772 mediatek, on the updater script of lineage 15, the zip comes without these lines, maybe the autor got the same problem(? But the rom doesn't boot, at least for me

I have RR on my device, and works fine, and the video recording works too and take video at 1080p; about dolby atmos, it will be removed from every custom rom, at least the roms based on stock will have it

I was doing some research about custom roms for the mediatek variant (nicklaus), and found lineage 14.1 and 15 from some user on android filehost, anyone has tried the roms or know what is happening with the development of the mediatek variant??

None of them are working.

Hey Guys, i want to share the manual update to Oreo Beta and Treble rom installation with you.
Perform everything to the letter.
EMUI 8 USERS
-Download @HassanMirza01 TWRP Image. www.hassanmirza01.blogspot.it/p/elite-twrp.html
-Download update.zip.
-Download update_data_full_public.zip (rename to ''update_data_public'').
-Download update_full_PRA-L11_hw_eu.zip (rename to ''update_all_hw'').
-Download HuRUpdater from forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279.
Put them (all 4 zip files) on a new folder called Oreo in external_sd.
1 : Flash Twrp from bootloader.
2 : Boot into twrp, click install, select HuRUpdater.zip.
3 : Reboot.
4 : Done.
Want install Treble rom on it?
1 : Download a Trebre GSI desired and put it on sdcard.
2 : Install twrp oreo version: www.drive.google.com/open?id=1rlQPRP234PoXY_yqup3oK_joOZGSIker, to flash use ''fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk Oreotwrp.img''.
3 : In twrp oreo, click on install, install image and select the GSI image and install to a ''system image'' partition.
4 : Wipe and Format Data to f2fs, wipe cache/dalvik/internal storage and reboot.
5 : Reboot and pray.

No bugs for now , all working fine.

Are you in nougat or in oreo? If you are in nougat you have to digit fastboot flash recovery NAMEOFRECOVERYYYYYY.img and not fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk NAMEOFRECOVERYYYY.img

I successfully installed oreo on my device but now i have a problem. I can't install working gapps. I used amr64 8.0 opengapps but they crash when i try to put my google account so i can't use google play store or any other google service. I also tried GSM install but it's not working. how to fix?

I flasheded to the latest version of RR-O-v6.0.0-20180502-mido-Official using clean flash. After flashing I realised that I was not able to flash any zip. "Cannot mount/vendor" error was being shown.now I am not able to root (magisk). Could you please help me in this??????????????

I am not sure . I flashed the latest version till now there are no new update . I think candy Os is a treble ROM try non treble rom
Using the treble supported TWRP fixed the vendor mount problem but I get into a bootloop when I try to install Magisk (latest version). I'm using the Havoc ROM (Android 8.1.0 - Treble Supported).
Edit: Got Magisk running by using a modified version for Treble.

Hello I also installed the same ROM plus the Recovery of Red Wolf, remember that since its a treble you cannot mount vendor, but actually its easier than anything, why? cause the RR its based on Lineage OS and this last one is based on Cyanogen Mod, at the end what im trying to say its that the root services are already included in the ROM you only need to "unlock it" so i have the link for that, you only need to install this addon in .zip format (all the links and products are not mine, so please give thanks to the amazing developers). This is the official link and it also comes with an instructive step by step, I did the install trough sideload and now is working!
Example of command with adb sideload: C:\Users\kaks\Downloads\adb\adb sideload "C:\Users\kaks\Downloads\adb\addonsu-15.1-arm64-signed.zip"

The question speaks for itself,I cannot find really any accurate ways to get started because I once tried to install Oreo beta (before official was out) and flashed a Oreo recovery onto Nougat and bricked my phone,and the only way was to use DC Phoenix so for now I have kept my phone on EMUI 8 stock.
So if anyone can tell me the steps to install let's say an Android 8.1 Treble ROM or Android 9 when it gets good as a daily driver,I know that you need to do the following things:
-unlock the bootloader
-install a recovery
-flash a ROM through fastboot or through recovery and after that flash Gapps and a modded version of Magisk
That is pretty self explanatory,but I have seen like that you cannot use TWRP since there is a problem when wiping data and that you need to have Huawei stock recovery and some important things to consider since I see it is pretty easy to brick these phones if you don't follow instructions but since there isn't really clear instructions to do some of these things,I am asking here if anyone can explain to me.
And yes,I do have my bootloader unlock code since as I stated,I tried to do this before.

what rom are you trying to install?
All treble roms come in a .img file not a .zip.

Oh,I thought Pixel Experience ROM was meant to be installed through recovery,bloody hell pardon me.
Never mind then.
I am gonna wait for Android 9 to get a bit more stable and that official OpenGapps gets released and then I am going to install it.

Thats ok, we all make mistakes lol.
Yeah, a pixel experience 9.0 gsi is coming soon, and these GSI's are pretty stable. If you need any more help you can ask me:good:

I did those steps trying to flash RROS6 build BENVENUTI (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/p8-lite-2017-development/rom-rros-pra-t3774444) and I failed. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help me to install Resurrection Remix! :crying:

What is the exact problem you aee having? Bootloop? Error when trying to flash?

Ok, it clearly says that that Rom is discontinued, read the last post.
Use a gsi from the treble enabled device development forum and flash it with fastboot (yesyou can use android pie 9.0 gsi's as well as long as they don't say sGSI on it.

Wow, if that ROM is discontinued I'll desist to install it then. So I'll try to install Lineage OS 15.1. You recommend it ? This is the post that I'm seeing https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...nt/rom-lineageos-15-1-hi6250-devices-t3811583

Is there a guide to install this I paid DC unlock to get bootloader unlocked but on noughat and cannot find a twrp for noughat:good:
Pie gsi
Hi all,
I have installed Pixel Experience (Oreo) gsi ROM no problem. But if I try to flash any Pie gsi ROM it just goes into a boot loop. I flash system via fastboot and seems OK. Reboot and it just boot loops a few times and goes to the recovery screen that prompts to download and install the standard system.
Has anybody come across this or have any suggestions. I have tried a few different Pie gsi ROMs and same thing happens.

I have an X 522. I've flashed numerous ROMs before and am coming from Bootloaders 8.1. I've attempted to flash Pixle Experience, ASOP Extended, Lineage, and Arrow and I get an error in TWRP when I attempt to install any of them. The error is:
E3004: This package is for device z2, Z2, z2plus, z2_plus; this device is .
Updater process ened with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/Arrow-v8.1-z2_plus-OFFICIAL-10180827.zip'
The file is obviously different for different ROMs.

Use any other recovery to flash it. this is the most common error. I can't give you links as this is forum for s2 not z2

I have a s2, but I resolved the issue by updating TWRP

So why you download Arrow for z2_plus ?
