The "feel" comes from the changes done to android itself, not from some string of numbers you can change effortlessly. Also, it's confusing and misleading for some people. So do right by people and put in the correct numbers.

Not everyone. It's not appropriate to assume such things. Here you replied to a user who legitimately though you released an 8.1.1 rom, which you had to explain was not the case.

The latest factory images for supported Pixel and Nexus devices are still on 8.0.0, go check them out. 8.1 is still in preview stage and is only available to OEMs(maybe) and the Beta program users.
Look, It's cool you've put in the effort of theming a rom, but changing the android version string is not theming and plays no part in "the pixel feel", it's best you keep the legit rom version.

AOSP apps remover v1.2 | Android 7.x | 11/08/16

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices or other issues.
For all of you who likes clean ROM and hate duplication between system and user apps folders this tool will help. This will remove all defaults AOSP apps except launcher and keyboard. I suggest after removing to install pico version of gapps or all of this will not make much sense. Also boot animation will be gone, trim it to the bone
For everything else you may need use Play Store. This way upgrading existing apps will not make any duplicates.
Please don't hesitate to post if you like to see some more apps to be included in this remover.
V1.2 11/08/16
Added Development app
Thanks! It would be great to see this in an AROMA format where the user could select which apps to remove.

I've noticed this too on my Nexus 6 regardless of ROM- Google Camera does not show up in the PlayStore. Like others have mentioned if you sideload the apk from somewhere like apkmirror it will work. Alternatively you can try clicking on this direct link from your Nexus 6 and it should hopefully take you to the play store with google camera displayed- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera

I ran this while doing a clean install of Pure Nexus. Zips flashed in TWRP in this order: 1) Pure Nexus, 2) Full GAPPS (linked from Pure Nexus), 3) B14CKB1RD kernel, 4) phh's superuser, 4) 320 dpi, 5) AOSP apps remover. Google camera was available on first boot. ?
Two possible AOSP app oversights: AOSP keyboard (risky, I get it), and AOSP spell check (part of keyboard app?).
No problems experienced after booting into ROM and getting everything setup to taste. This is now a go-to/must have flash for me. Thanks!

Yeah, on 7.1.1 right now. The Pure Nexus FAQ clued me into these flashables. Adjusting the display size may confuse the DPI change, but a reflash of the DPI zip fixed it for me in 7.0 (and I haven't messed with it in 7.1.1).

why can't I see who is calling me? It's only shows missed calls; awesome zip file (my device is a Moto Maxx, similar to N6) but only this problem that bothers me
Go into settings/apps then click on the cog in upper right corner. Now set your current diaper app as default for phone. This should fix your problem.
any chances to do a flashable zip that could work in all devices?

Pixel 2 Launcher for LG M250

Hi, I think this will be an awesome substitute to the old LG launcher.
I got it from Here
How to install? Simple. Just download the apk and open it. And don't forget to uninstall you old Pixel Launcher first (if you already have one).
This is only tested on 7.1.1. If this is working on other Android versions please report back.

I like more 8.1.0 version, because it is designed more like for Pixel2 with Oreo, and since now from Open Gapps it's available with wallpapers and icon pack, and it can be themed with Substratum, on supporting rom's…
So I prefer 8.1.0

Android Q emoji systemless Magisk module

Hey guys, I don't think this needs a huge explanation, I made a module that replaces your emojis, with the new Android Q emojis.
Just flash it in Magisk and your good.
The module was broken, I removed it and will reupload a working version in a sec
Edit: new version uploaded, should install fine now!
Thanks dude
Will try it. Thank you so much!

How we can fix it to make it work on Gboard?, please any idea would be appreciated (at the moment I went to an emoji website and copied each one of them and add each one to my personal dictionary ? ? if you can watch them at least your phone can support Unicode 12) you can pick between add them manually, or ask a merciful developer that give us a hand( pretty pretty please ?I am on Android N 7.1.2 thanks in advance), I add them manually with the NotoColorEmoji.ttf of Android Q but even the older emojis still didn't showed up in the right ratio in the keyboard, maybe it's a thing about adding a bypass that allows us to see the new emojis on the gboard, please any idea, support, help is more than welcome, thanks in advance

New Google assistant 2.0

Good morning, i'm on the pixel experience rom on my mi 9, and i have enabled the Google assistant 2.0 by making Google thinking that i have a pixel 4 XL (by modifying the build.prop file). But it doesn't have any ui. Someone know how to get the transparent ui please? Thank you in advance

Hi, if your phone is rooted and you have an aosp rom (like pixel experience), you can install a root file explorer, like root explorer. Then go to /system/build.prop and change cepheus by flame in device, name and product, Mi 9 by Pixel 4 XL in model, and Xiaomi by Google in brand and manufacturer. Then save and reboot. After that, clean the data of the Google app, then try to trigger the google assistant. You should see a download screen, then the google assistant 2.0 will be enabled.
Ithink i already do it. Thank u sir. How about the continue conversation do u make it work?

To enable continue conversation, you only need to go to the google app > settings > Google assistant, and in the assistant tab, you will find the continue conversation category, where you can enable it for your phone. I hope that this will help you. Have a great day sir.

Yeah, i think that the ui is somewhere in the pixel 4 rom, but i can't see anything in an android dump of this phone.
Yesteday i have spoke with argraur, a developer that has enabled the next gen google assistant in his rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/development/rom-google-pixelrom-v3-0sep-mi-8-t3843356.
He told me how he did, but sadly it didn't worked on the mi 9. I have tested his method on the derpfest rom and on the phhusson's gsi. So for the moment, i don't know what to do, except waiting that google release it for more phones.

Yeah, you must follow the steps described here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixe..._enable_new_google_assistant_for_older_pixel/.
Then, from a google flame dump: https://github.com/AndroidDumps/goo...-user-10-QQ1D.200205.002-6084393-release-keys,
take in the product directory priv-app/systemuiGoogle, usr/srec/, etc/sysconfig and push it in the same directories on the mi 9. Then reboot your phone and clear the google app data if needed. Then you should have the next gen assistant. If it's not the case, make sure you have only supported languages checked in the google assistant languages settings. So good luck, and i hope that someone will succeed to enable it with the new ui.
