The audio recording isn't working in this ROM. I've tried installing it with GApps as well as clean flashing it still the issue persists. Do help with a fix if possible.
Due to this problem few apps which require permission for Microphone (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) start lagging (can be fixed by disabling microphone permission in app Settings). Although, I can record audio via Whatsapp's inbuilt voice recording.
Video Recording and VoLTE are common so, we can't consider it as an issue rn. The ROM is good and is without much bugs in general. Thanks for this.
(P.S. This is also the same issue which is present in the RR 5.8.5 UNOFFICIAL build present in the common thread. I believe it is a common problem with 7.1.2 ROM for this device.)

Hotspot not working
I tested this ROM .All OK but I found 2 problems.
1. Hotspot is not working: when I turn on hotspot it turns off automatically.
2. Some times it tools time to show home screen after unlock .
I clean install this ROM 3 times still this problem exist

May be your not aware of PAC and Temasek ROM we have even received TEMASEK Cm12.1, These two ROMS say that

Flashed rom (cm-14.1-20161030-UNOFFICIAL-d802) + 7.1 gapps(open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20161030) this morning, wifi working great, lte working, camera (photo+video) working, phonecalls + sms working. Overall rom feels fluid and very smooth. Thanks for your work

INSTRUCTIONS
- Make total wipe and format data in A and B partitions
- Flash the latest build at this link https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YQqUhZA8v0UVUMKBsCPDt9-Dp0MXoPFr with Deadman Recovery in slot A
- Reboot forcedly in fastboot mode with vol - and power, and after return to TWRP
- Finally flash (without reboot the phone) Gapps Pico arm64 8.1 and Magisk in slot where is installed the system (you can easily understand this in the backup section of TWRP and see the system partition how space take)
- Make the first setup with the Wifi connected!
- Enjoy with Viper OS!

This flashing instructions are weird. Why we can't just boot from official TWRP and install like every other rom?
So is the stock cam included as the default camera app?
If yes, why don't you use snapdragon cam or gcam?

You should be able to. He just made these instructions for better compatibility. Otherwise you can just flash as usual without formatting.
This was my fav rom when it arrived for 7.1.2 for tissot . The version is now 8.1.0 gotta try it asap . Thanku developer @fosseperme

Everything else is alright so far, but the navigation gesture for back is not working, also navigation buttons cannot be disabled.
Switched to WaveOS
So far so good. Just one problem that I faced on most Android 11 custom ROMs for Mi A1 remains and that is Random Freezing issue. Faced 2-3 times in last 2 days. Long press the power button to restart is the only solution so far.
I just faced the freezing issue. Forced restarted, booted, unlocked the phone, then again boot screen came.
After following all flashing step ,on first restart I am getting password prompt.my previous ROM have pattern lock not pin. Where I am wrong.

no, like any android 11 rom atm have freezing issue! if you want daily driver stable install a rom updated with android 10

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
So i have been trying to boot Android 10 for 4 days and... no luck. Kernel crashes without a debug log so i can't debug the problem. Don't expect a new android version for 2 months. I can't continue to development while my only phone is M8s. A second person with M8s could be perfect for development right now. Also i'm aware of some bugs with latest pie rom. I'll try to fix them soon.
Good news. I managed to fix the problem and booted android 11 without a problem (but just booting, thats all). Android 12 is on the way as well. I'll probably release A12 2-3 weeks later.
