Snapchat force stopping sometimes...any fix?

this is an old one, but it happened to my kid's phone this week. so in case anyone arrives here, what i did was to move the app from the SD to the internal memory (it was installed in the external SD), than fixed my problems

[Q] Database storage is getting low?

I got a notification that my database storage is getting low. I deleted sms messages and call logs, but the notification is still there. My phone wont scan my external sd card either: it is stuck at 0%..
I got 2.2, z4root and oclf lagfix. Can anyone tell me whats wrong? Thanks in advance.
EDIT// Now I noticed that my contacts and messages are taking 121MB/127MB, and yesterday it was only 27MB/127MB... This is seriously a bit weird...

Hi Posters,
I am in the same position, changed my ring tone yeday to a normal mp3 that played through the music app no issues.
Rebooted a few times....then noticed that my device wouldnt complete the media scanning on the External SD card.
Now the phone generally lags and goes bonkers, force closes on all apps all sorts every time I put the SD card in, seems to be something to do with the database that the media scanning writes to, corrupted or something.....what is it though and how to fix!?
Any help anyone can offer us would be great.
I unidid the One Click Lag fix to try and resovle this but no help....

[Solved] Media scanner stuck forever at 0%, Database memory error

Recently and suddenly, my media scanner seems to be very messed up. Whether triggered from a file manager, or simply booting, it never gets past 0% of the internal storage. After about 10 minutes, my user memory is completely full, and I start getting errors about the database being full, telling me to delete apps. I also can no longer receive any text messages when this happens due to the memory being full. If I go to the list of installed apps through the Settings menu and choose Media Storage, I see that it is using up almost 100MB of my ~130MB of user data. I can choose force close and then clear data, and the phone is back to normal (until the media scanner is triggered again).
I don't want to disable the media scanner, because I use stock apps that rely on it (such as Gallery). I've already scanned and checked my phone's memory for errors, as well as cleared cache/dalvik cache and factory reset. My ROM/kernel/etc. are in my signature.
I had a similar problem a little while ago and it turned out that a corupt video file that I had saved to my phone was causing the media scanner to be stuck at 0%.
Try removing any recent (or all) media files and see if that helps. Then all you have to do is figure out which one(s) was causing the problem.

You were spot on. There were 4 video files on my phone's memory that seemed to be causing the issue. Interestingly enough, I couldn't find anything wrong with the videos--they were standard DIVX 5.1 vids and they play fine on both my computer and phone (although the file needs to be opened through a file manager or player that doesn't rely on the media scanner). None of my other videos trigger this issue, so I guess I'm stuck with re-encoding these 4 and taking a quality hit, even though I wanted to avoid that.

No Apps in App Drawer?

I am on a Custom ROM and this problem has occurred on several different ROMs, from Time to Time "Some" or "All" my App Icons disappear from App Drawer. I can usually get them back by Rebooting but sometimes I have to Power Off and ON a few Times or even pull the battery to get them back. Does this happen to other people?

Are your apps ssored on the internal sd, or external? Move them to the internal one if not. Should fix your problem.
Also, in the future, please tell us which rom/kernel you are using. It will help with troubleshooting, as some problems are rom specific. Hope this helps.

All Apps are on the Internal sd and at the moment I am on Ficeto's Base JVP but it has happened on Darky's 9.5 and 10.1.
Do they disappear at random or in relation to something you've done? My app drawer goes blank once in awhile, but only when I do something that involves an app that modifies some system activity or process. Like the phone has to take a few moments to rescan what apps are on my phone. It never requires a reboot, though.

It seems to happen if I have just done something. Sometimes it occurs when I update an App or at times it has happened after I have Run TiBackup to backup newest Apps. This Morning I was connected to my Computer moving some things Off my PC to phone and when I disconnected from PC and hit App Drawer I had like 4 Apps there. So I Powered phone Off and On then checked Drawer I had NO apps. Powered Off--Pulled Battery and Rebooted still nothing. Finally after another "Re Power" they all back.
when you run TiBu to make a backup, it kills each app that it is backing up, if they are running. your launcher is running so it kills the process and when it is done, you have to give it a few minutes to rescan. if you have used apps2sd or moved apps to the SD using the built in application manager, once you are mounted to your PC, they will not show up because your phone no longer has the internal sd mounted.
there is no reason to have everything moved to SD if you already have them there

[Q] Pocket app keeps force closing?

Hey is anyone else experiencing the pre-installed Pocket app force closing after setup? I tried the usual solutions I know of (wipe app cache reboot, wipe app data reboot, wipe both and reinstall), nothing works though, it keeps displaying "unfortunately pocket has stopped". Not rooted yet, any ideas how to fix?
Same here. I'm rooted, and made my SD card read / write. Still no joy.
OTA update fixed Pocket
OTA update received last night which fixed Pocket, phone feels a tad snappier as well after update, will post in a new thread regarding the update if I notice any issues.
Nevermind
Okay just a short while after using pocket and now it's force closing. Temporary workaround for me is just adding a browser shortcut to the home screen.

Lockscreen lag?

Anyone else getting lockscreen lag? Sometimes it gets so bad, I'm swiping to unlock 10 times and it's still frozen.
I'm not using an SD card. Phone was running perfect for 2 weeks, but this only started 2 days ago. I recently moved 1GB of photos onto the phone, but still have 4GB free space. I'll get rid of them to see if it helps...
I don't have this issue. Have you installed any other mods?
I'm rooted, xposed with gravitybox and bootmanager modules. I was using greenify module with aggressive doze and doze on the go, but I uninstalled that.
Also, MOAAB ad blocking host file.
Hasn't happened again for the last 2 days after deleting the 1GB of photos. Maybe just coincidence...
The issue keeps coming back, and I'm still trying to pin it down. 1st got rid of greenify because I thought aggressive doze was causing it. 2nd, switched back from Outlook to Gmail because I thought push sync was causing it. Now I'm uninstalling MOAAB adblock host file. If that doesn't work, it will be time for a factory reset
