It's Official. Busted Earpiece Speaker - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

For those doing the Dual Speaker Mod, just be aware that the mod might, again might, bust your earpiece on higher volumes. Busted mine yesterday on my black Note 8. I said might because I also modded my Blossom Pink one and it's still working.

I never saw these dual speaker mods worth it. Ever. If it's so important to you just buy a device that feature true dual speakers. Just my view on it.

Yep, I guess he didn't use yours. I've used your beta v3 and stable v2 without any issues, but his post scared me into going back to stable v2.

I have used the booster for 2 weeks with the 35 percent amplifier and no problems here at the moment. You just scared me, I dont want to broke that lovely phone ?

Mine got fooked because of the whitestone dome adhesive.

Speaker issue

Hi guys,
The Boomsound speakers on my One are a HUGE disappointment. My Galaxy Y ($99) can produce louder sound than my HTC One. I was really looking forward to the speakers, so im quite disappointed. Is this normal?? Or are the speakers really that bad ??

The speakers volume got nerfed with an ota update long time ago because of to many blown speakers to repair under warranty. That is probably why you are disappointed. I remember when my phone was on the old sf version, they were amazing.
There are some mods you could try to boost the speakers sound, never tried them personally.

Thanks for the help. But im on InsertCoin Sixth Sense. So, this OTA patch is part of the custom ROMs as well? Or is it only the stock rom which is patched ?

On the AROMA installer for IC there is an option for 'speaker boost'. Not sure of the exact wording. Have you tried that option?

Pretty much. Still cant figure how Samsungs's lowest end 2011 model can even compete with the One, let alone beat it in one of the One's most touted features. Sad
My speakers are pretty darn loud. Of course I've only had this M7 for about a month so I really can't compare 'before and after'.

I had the same issue with my speakers, turned out that the grills were full of dirt that wasn't visible. I just got a fine paint brush and sort of stabbed the grills so the brush could poke through the tiny holes. 2 minutes of doing that and my One was 3 times louder lol... Hope this helps

Np man
I'm sure it's a problem with many HTC One's. I didn't even notice a decrease in volume until I noticed that one was louder than the other. Then once I cleaned both of them I was like "Holy Shizz"

Front ear Peace pop

Anyone else having issues with the front ear peace Ive noticed mine seems to pop slightly and its enough to bother me when im in a call that I switch from ear to ear. Is this software bug or Do i need to warranty this phone?
Not a single piece popped in all the dozen Note 4's I've gone through. Dial *#0*# on your dial pad, and select Receiver. Do you hear a pop then on the front ear piece?

What ROM are you running? Does it have surround sound mod?
BAD ASS NOTE 4 + BAD ASS GEAR S
Has the OP even rooted his phone? :silly: XDA needs to implement a requirement for the OP's to post this kind of info when starting a new troubleshooting thread, haha.

Yes he has. I seen him in dynamic. It the sound mod. He has it all cranked up all the way. Needs to lower it or flash the med mod.

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. At least now I know what to do if I ever proceed with this mod.

[Q] Z2 vs Z3 vs Z3+ vs S6 Edge Sound thru headphones

Hey guys. My first review here but I think this really need to be addressed.
On my Z2, music was great till I had a note 4, root it and installed viper4android. So I managed to root my Z2 and install fauxsound and sold of my note 4 just cause it made the volume louder and its easy to drive my senheisser.
Then I got the Z3 and managed to install viper4android just to make it enough gain to drive my sennheiser. Sound was nearly perfect.
However, Z3+ seems has louder volume output then its predecessors. Is it my ears or is it louder now?
Still waiting for root just to install viper4android. Have a spare S6 Edge and with viper4android installed, I still think S6 Edge sound output is superior.
What do you guys think?

The whole sound output on the Z3+ is refined as seen here. There are some real nice additions in the Z3+ compared to earlier models. I hear a difference on my Z2,Z3+ but no idea how it was on Z3
Biggest change is what i feel from my old Z2 is Size.... Z3+ is really... comfortable to handle with such impressive design. also there are 35 Sensors while in Z2 it was 18 Sensors...i don't know more sensor is good or bad...

Obviously basic sensors like gyroscope, magnetometer, pressure sensor, etc. Z cpu shows 35 sensor count. Lol i think this phone is having highest no. Of peripherals installed.

Dual Speaker Mod for P10

Hello.
Does anybody have a working dual speaker mod for the P10?
If not, can you point me to a guide how to start on Kirin/EMUI devices?

Not sure I follow what you mean.
The P10 physically only has one speaker (at the bottom), how would a "dual" speaker mod work in that instance???

Technically, the P10 has two speakers - one at the bottom and an earpiece.
FYI, this mod available for all the other devices I had in the in the past year: Galaxy S7, OP3T.
The one from the P9 forum seems have no effect at all

Ah, I get you. Would never have considered the earpiece as a speaker for music etc as I don't think it's loud enough on most phones (unlike for example the twin speaker design on the HTC M8 & M9), but would be interesting to try I suppose.
Looks like they are having issues with the p9 one anyway, so may not be that easy.

On the OP3T it was noticeable, but on my S7 it was a "night and day" difference.
Guides are existing, but for Snapdragon devices.
Just need the right lines (and the correct mixer_paths file) to edit, but they seem to be different on Huawei devices.

Have the s21 ultra exynos .
The volume on calls is preety low .
Even on loudspeaker mode its weak
Here, i have the exynos version too and a don't have any complaints. Earpiece speaker and loudspeaker are pretty loud comparing to my old Galaxy 8. Maybe you both have same defect with your devices

Mine didn't bring one. When I bought the device I asked to apply one
Ok, just decided to peel off the factory screen protector and tried and i dont understand why, but now its sound much louder, i dont know why because the protector was not blocking the speaker. Now i gonna buy another cheap protector to see if that caused the problem or was other issue
