Using Firmware Finder. I saw that B192 firmware that I got today was released on 19.11.2017 and I got it today via OTA 26.11.2017. So the B196 has been released on 19.12.2017 on the update servers. It's coming in Janurary 2018 via OTA or you can flash it now if you have unlocked bootloader.

Tnx

Yes, B196 is for dual sim and for the 3 GB variant only. You have the 4 GB RAM variant

Any changelog for 196?

You can check this via Firmware Finder for Huawei app from the Play Store.

guys, for lx1 devices there are a new patch b198 via website, i dont know if with app too

Hey guys,
I'm quite confused atm. I have a P10 Lite (WAS-LX1A) withthe buildnumber WAS-LX1AC432, so the dual sim variant with 4 gigs of ram an a Kirin 658. Right now I'm on B182 and I want to do a complete clean flash with the .img files from the update.app. The newest firmware I am able to find is the B197 here.
The Firmware Finder App on my devices says that this update is not approved to my phone?! :silly:
The only one that is approved is the update B191. Do I have to flash this one first and then update to B197?
Thanks in advanced. :good:
Peace,
thiodos

Hello I noticed my Huawei p10 lite have excessive consume of battery too. I disabled all the background apps anything. the problem I read that this depends from firmware. My latest version is B193 {WAS-LX1A}... there's any possibility that the next firmware update they will solve this battery excessive consume? the battery is really a weak point... My old Samsung j5 was much more better.. this huawei p10 lite drain battery in few minutes from 90% to 85%.. in a couple of hours is already at 50% or even less... I really wish they will do something for this but at the same time I think the battery will never be so strong point of this mobile.. it's a pity.. I really like Huawei p10 lite.. But battery is really disappointing... =(

Mine did the same thing but got it working today with the b193 by using "check with imei". Maybe b197 can be installed when on b193 otherwise i guess it's just a matter of waiting until Huawei "approves" our devices

I've installed this UPDATE over the ALE-L21C432B525 build with the "dload" method.
Everything worked out well, the system was installed in about 10 minutes.
The update has deleted every app and settings that were set on the previous build, so make sure, you'll do a backup before.
After installing, I've successfully rooted the phone, with THIS method.

Some people used the other version to flash over b181 from vodafone and it succeeded ( local update ) . The only problem was the balong bug so all you need to do is to try and see how it's going on.
One thing i have 550 double sim, can i install this?, and how? Tanks, sorry bad english
no tan lejos
Yes but not directly,
Because you have double sim variant firmware install.
You have to downgrade to a single sim firmware before then update B171, or others, and B551
Strange, i was on B171 Single SIM (Hungary - Eastern Europe Version) and got the B199 Update OTA 3 days ago. Now i cannot update to Marshmallow with the official Updater, because it does not Support B199 xD Install failed @ 0%.

Does not work! I was on B525 (updatet from B171 3 months ago), but reverted back to B171 to get B199. Now even B525 cannot install. Error at 4%
installed B551 (the original B171), everything went without a hitch and works very well

It's strongly recommend before all system firmware update.
1. Make full unroot
2. All system files like build.prop must be untouched(original)!

C185 - c636 - c432 - c900 - c???

Hi,
I am new to Huawei phones and I am trying to understand these region code. A description of each code will help a lot of us here.
I am now on C636 ROM and would like to know is it safe to flash a C185 ROM?
Thanks.
Hi my friend,
The versión code is
636 - Asia
432 - Europe
Generally the most updated version are those two. If you flash a 432 on a 636 you will get a C900, which will not allow you to receive OTA updates

P8 Lite Middle East & Africa Update

Hey there.
I have a Question.
I came from Germany and buy my P8 Lite on Amazon.
The Phone itself is absolut Powerfull and i like it.
But it is a Model for the Middle East & Africa.
Build Number isALE -L21C185B180 and has German Language in it´s Setup.
Updating to Marshmallow is not possible via OTA while it is not for the European Market.
Now i found the Middle East Update to ALE-21C185B525.
Is there anybody who can tell me that German Language is avaible in this Update?
Can someone tell me how to Upgrade this and warn me from Problems with the Manual Update?
Thanks a lot.

As far as I know, all versions have most languages, especially, let's say, strong languages like German.
But on XDA you can find many threads about how to change locale of device and update to any version you like, stock or custom, with or without root and with or without custom recovery. This is fine device and we have a few options.

P20 Pro CLT-AL00 v 8.1.0.131 (C675)

Hi all...
I just got the p20 pro. While searching the forum I saw discussions on firmware upto 8.1.0.120 (germany)...
I saw no discussions regarding the firmware 8.1.0.131 which i got out of the box.
There's no thread for CLT-AL00 Model as well.
Please help me with a method to root this model. I'm from India
On FirmwareFinder, the last firmware version for the CLT-AL00 is 8.1.0.1.109 (05/16), so you're very lucky to have this one.
Where are you from ?
From India... Haven't Nobody else received 8.1.0.131? How do i root it?
It seems that the 131 firmware is an older version coz i cannot find the improvements that's present in 120... Any way to flash 120 in my clt-al00 model?

Hi all, FYI
I've just get my CLT-AL00 chinese version, installed an update : 8.1.0.176 (C00)
I've also installed Google Play Store from an APK which works perfectly. I installed a keyboard normal which kicked out the chinese one. I've uninstalled any chinese apps.
The only (false) problem i have is that i don't know how or where to unlock the bootloader for rooting and kind.. I saw that it can be done with FunkyHuawei after paying 55$ i don't want to.
I really don't understand why to rebrand as google service and apps works perfectly

You got it through OTA ?
Yes OTA. My phone is not rooted.
Huawei hast a miserable update politic.
No one knows how it works and why some devices are getting updated immediately and others not.
EMUI8 should be rolled out for everyone. Maybe your IMEI is not in their system or your phone is rebranded and Huawei won't update because IMEI and region are not fitting together.
You can try Firmware Finder app by TeamMT to update. It works until newer Oreo versions. You can also check Firmware Access in this app, maybe you can update through it.
Or you try to ask Huaweis support, but it's not very good and professional in most countries.

Which of these should i install in order not to lose my data ?
Thank you
Try OTA first, if this doesn't work FullOTA.
There's always a risk losing your data while updating, even with official methods.
If you want to lower this risk try the latest version called "(Full)OTA-PV". This is the public version.
I never had any issues with updating using Firmware Finders files.

Not global, C636 is an Asian version. There are beta tests in some European countries and sometimes Huawei ceased releasing updates completely (I'm stuck on B376 and it's the newest version for my country, even though P10 Lite got 4 more updates and continues getting them regularly).

you're not stuck. change to another region firmware. what's stopping you
@fatjoez You cannot change the region in EMUI anymore, it's determined by your SIM. It's enough to swap it with the one from abroad and updates will show up immediately. It worked for many people, unfortunately I don't have an access to such SIM.
And it's not a bug, Huawei's consultants admitted that by Huawei's decision B376 is the newest software in my country (which is one of the largest for Huawei in EU).
no I mean what's stopping you to rebrand your phone? or force flash another regions firmware?

Yes, look for 'rebranding' in the guides section. You do need an unlocked bootloader for this.

Hi
I got the same model VTR-L29(C636) on eBay from China. Trying to use it in Delhi, but the phone appears to have extremely poor radios. It connects well in areas where the signal is strong, but in weak areas it just doesn't connect at all.
India primarily uses 4 LTE bands - 3, 40, 41 and 5. Band 5 (850 mhz) comes into play indoors, where the signal is the weakest. It looks as if the P10 is unable to use this band, although the specifications say so.
I am interested in knowing what is the connectivity of the phone like in B'desh, whether you are facing the same issues or not.
Thanks.
Hi
Here in Dhaka we have 3G & 4G connection available based on locations in City area. Most of the time my phone connected with 3G and very rare it is on 4G though it is set on 4G.
I have no problem on connection and the speed.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers.
Finally Android Pie official is rolling out, already in China and soon Europe and rest of the world
