Custom Firmware Mate 10 Porsche Design-BLA-L29 8.0.0.129 ( C721 ) 256gb - Huawei Mate 10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to share that I was able to flash Kangvip_Mate10 Mate10Pro_127 custom firmware to my Mate 10 Porsche Design 256gb internal memory-build BLA-L29 8.0.0.129(C721). Note: Google apps is deleted, but you may install it manually.
Requirements:
Phone must have unlock bootloader, enable developer options-USB debugging, put phone in fastboot mode, check if your pc recognize it and then just run the run.bat. On first screen hit enter, then choose 1 and hit enter. When process is finished screen will become green, hit enter again and phone reboots. It will reboot again because of supersu. Everything done(thanks to coredown).
Rom Link(thanks to mexxxico): https://mega.nz/#F!7BMEGTYT!2M60SBuhz0Th7mwNWG6hQw
Optional: you may install rootexplorer.apk to delete chinese apps.
Note: Do it at your own risk, I am not responsible what might happen in your expensive phone.

Huawei Honor 4x Che2-L11 Q&A

Please note: This thread is specific to the Che2-L11 model Honor 4xFor discussion pertaining to the Che1-L04 model click here.
Because there are some significant differences between the Honor 4x variants information can get confusing quite easily, therefore I decided to start a thread dedicated to the Che2-L11.
:good: Any information or discussion is welcome as long as it is about this particular model.
:fingers-crossed: Since the device is still relatively fresh, information is scarce. I will try to update and expand this post as we discover the possibilities of our shiny new phone.
Rooting the Che2-L11
There are currently no known tools or exploits that can be used to gain root under the stock firmware. Unlocking the bootloader will allow full access to the device, however at this time there are no known working custom recoveries or roms.
The official Huawei unlock page doesn't support it as of yet, neither by editing the product model information on that page like it works for some other models. Instead you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and provide the same information as requested on the unlock page.
Once you obtain the correct unlock code you can follow the unlocking procedure. Be careful when experimenting with recoveries or roms intended for other or similar models, they may brick or damage your device.
SD Cards >32GB
Although not officially supported, 64GB cards seem to work fine. The phone will recognise and use their full capacity automatically. It will most likely support 128GB cards as well but this is not yet confirmed.
Model numbers
The Honor 4x is being sold under several different model numbers divided into two basic groups: Che1 and Che2. Che stands for Cherry.
Che1 is based on the Snapdragon 410 chipset: Che1-CL10 (China/Telecom), Che1-CL20 (China/Netcom), Che1-L04 (India/Flipkart) and Che1-UL00.
Che2 is based on the Kirin 620 chipset: Che2-L11 (Europe), Che2-L12, Che2-L23, Che2-TL00, Che2-TL00H, Che2-TL00M and Che2-UL00.

Send email to [email protected] with the model type (Che2-L11), IMEI1, S/N and Product ID and they will send you the unlock code.
I got mine within an hour after sending the email Happy rooting!

I must have been doing something wrong then, although I did use [email protected] instead. Will try again with that address.
Have you tried any custom recoveries yet?
The reply also came from [email protected] so that must be the correct address. Just quickly tried the CWM made for Che2-TL00. It did boot once, but backup job crashed the phone and the recovery didn't boot anymore. Just flashed the stock recovery back
Have to try again this evening when I have more time.
Here's a link to the Che2-TL00 CWM recovery I used. I replaced the stock recovery in the zip-file with the Che2-L11 stock recovery. So this can be also used to bring the recovery back to stock.

I was able to flash SuperSU with it and now the device is rooted
so many different versions, support is going to be a nightmare...
tried [email protected] and [email protected] and did not receive a reply yet, it has been 2 days =( shame, really want to try new stuff on this phone, it was going to be my side project to try and port CM12 to my 4X CHE2-UL00, buy with a locked bootloader nothing I can do =(
Any other ideas where can I unlock my bootloader?
Finally replied, let the fun begin =)
Lollipop Update
I've asked Honor Europe about the lollipop update (5.x) for the Che2-L11. Here's the answer:
Thank yo for your message, It is not yet been planned for Q2, however we are working on the update to launch it soon. Stay tuned for more information. Honor Europe
So, we have to wait Q3 or Q4(!?).... maybe they update directly to 5.1?
BTW: Really need a root to install Link2SD. This would solve the (small) 8gb storage problem. Someone tried oneclick and other root tools to root the Honor 4x?
I just bought the phone not longer, I also want to root the phone.
Can you guys help me how to root the phone? Thanks!
Did you notice that you can change the preferred storage location to sdcard?
I have >3GB of apps installed and still over 1GB free internal storage. I can say I am a heavy user of different apps, and with a decent sd card (Samsung Pro U1 32GB), I have no problems to manage with the 4X, if compared to my other phones.

Final words, do this on your own risks as it voids the phone warranty.
Thanks!! Now waiting the unlock bootloader password.
Just a heads up. Like mentioned before, I never received a reply from [email protected], but from [email protected] I received a reply within an hour after sending the request.

[All-in-One] Redmi Note 7 (lavender): Unlock Bootloader, Flash TWRP, Root, Flash ROM

Dear Redmi Note 7 user,
I'm not responsible if anything happens to your device. If you execute these AiO procedures properly then you shouldn't face any problems.
Before you proceed please back up all your important data and make sure that your phone battery is charged >80%!
A. Prerequisites:
1. Disable driver signature enforcement in Windows
If your computer doesn’t recognize Xiaomi drivers then please disable driver signature enforcement. How to do this please read here: http://en.miui.com/thread-237673-1-1.html
2. Install ADB and Fastboot tools with drivers on Windows
How to do this please read here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Restart your computer.
3. Enable "OEM unlocking" and "USB debugging" in your device
a. Enable Developer Options in: Settings/About Phone/MIUI version. Click on MIUI version seven times
b. Now go to: Settings/Additional Settings/Developer Options and check "OEM unlocking" and "USB debugging"
4. Check if your bootloader is locked
a. After successful installation of "ADB and Fastboot" enter the fastboot mode by holding together "Volume Down + Power" and connect your device to your computer via USB cable (best would be the original cable).
b. Go to the folder where you have put the "ADB and Fastboot" and open a command window inside that folder. To do that hold together "Shift + Right Click" on any empty white space inside the folder and then select "Open PowerShell Window Here" or "Open Command Window Here"
c. Enter the terminal command in command line: >>fastboot devices<<
If you don't see your device it means that the drivers weren't installed properly or the device wasn't connected properly. If this happens please reinstall your drivers from Point A. 2. or try these drivers here:
http://xiaomiadvices.com/download-xiaomi-usb-drivers/
d. If you see your device then enter the terminal command in command line: >>fastboot oem device-info<<
If your bootloader is locked, you'll get the following status (or something similar):
…………………………………………………………………….
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:

(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.053s]
finished. total time: 0.055s
………………………………………………………………………
5. Request Permission from Xiaomi to Unlock the Bootloader
a. Create a Mi Account: https://global.account.xiaomi.com/pass/register
b. Sign to Xiaomi and apply for unlocking https://en.miui.com/unlock/
6. Connect your Mi Account to your Device
Go to: Settings/Additional Settings/Developer Options/Mi Unlock status and check "Add account and device"

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Question:
My computer doesn't recognize my device. What can be the problem?
Answer:
1. Check your cable if it is the original one, and if not then use the original one.
2. Check you drivers if they are installed properly and if not, then re-install them.
3. If the problem is not with point 1 and 2 then please try another computer.
Question:
Can I bypass the waiting time to unlock the bootloader?
Answer:
No you can't. You have to wait for that time to pass.
You know you can probably root without recovery using Magisk Manager and fastboot. You'll just need the original boot image which you should be able to extract from Xiaomi's firmware downloads.

Unfortunatelly the waiting time varies from person to person and also which smarphone model we are talking about. Until now the longest time I waited to unlock a bootloader was 72h. In Xiaomi forums people are reporting that they are waiting btw. 72h - 720h, sometimes even more than 1000h.

That's completely untrue. I do tutorials for these devices on my website Android Explained and have bought the latest ones from the Mi Global seller account on AliExpress.
All have been completely sealed devices, shipped a day or two after their Chinese launch, and once you can unlock the bootloader (you do have to wait a certain period of time), then you can flash the global fastboot ROM with either Mi Flash, or just using the flash_all.bat file

the person you quoted said 'without recovery'. . .not 'with a locked bootloader'
You'll still need to unlock the bootloader, but once you do then you can patch the boot.img file for the device with Magisk and then load it onto the phone (instead of installing TWRP and then flashing Magisk) to gain root access

Global rom for Redmi Note 7 is not available yet, and thus I can't test it myself yet, but judging by all other Xiaomi Smartphones I had until now (Mi 5, Mi 6, Mix 2s, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5 etc.) I was always able to flash the global rom on my Chinese version of these smartphones. Of course the bootloader will have to be unlocked. I'm quite sure that flashing the global rom on Chinese version of Redmi Note 7 will be possible too!

Yes, OTA will work! Android development on Chinese versions compared to Global version is a prerogative of developers. They decide which version of MIUI (Chinese or Global) they take as basis for their further development.

Please let me know if you find a solution. Having an identical issue with a Honor View 10. Emailed Funky, havent heard back yet.
Thanks!
Was your device on oreo or pie before you started? I've read that the tool doesn't work on pie, maybe something went wrong because of that?
Btw: Funky normally takes 2-3 days to reply
Found the problem by myself in the end. It is indeed a pie issue. I used a flash script to downgrade to Oreo 8.0.0.159) leaving bootloader unlocked still. Debranded first try. Took 3 attempts to get the erecovery download to complete (hotspot kept disconnecting so I just changed dns direct on router) then once booted..... Update Central. Now on 9.0.0.236 directly via 3 otas.
I wrote up the steps I took and info needed to not brick it in the guides forum (search the word numpties it'll come up lol)

[GUIDE] Downgrading Huawei P Smart, Unlocking bootloader and installing TWRP

Downgrading Huawei P Smart, Unlocking bootloader and installing TWRP
Hello! In this tutorial i will show how you can, downgrade you phone, installing TWRP + root!
Why you need downgrade? You need to downgrade security patch to read bootloader unlock code.
Lets start!
Note: This method will cost 4euro/dollar. You need buy 4 credits to DC unlocker. Just google for it.
Note 2: Backup your important files. You need reset your phone twice.
Note 3: Im not resposible if you success to brick your phone. I can always help, if you have Discord you can contact ScaryG#8540/B] or just ask in comments
Note 4: Twrp wont work with custom roms :/
Also if something missing from tutorial, please tell down. I will fix them as soon as possible:good:
Part 1. Downgrading
You need 16 GB SD card. First format it to extFat. Then download firmware from androidhost.ru, i used FIG-LX1 8.0.0.128A(C432) Download it. ( Links below! ) Then find dload folder from zip and extract into SD card (Remember to format SD Card into extFat)
Wait until it extracts. Now put your SD Card into your phone. Call *#*#2846579#*#*, locate for software upgrade and press SDCard Upgrade button. Now your phone is installing the update. Wait until installs. After install, you should get bootloop. In this part Press Volume UP + Power button, go to recovery and do factory reset. Now wait until boots. Go to settings -> about, and you should see version (128A). Boom! You have done downgrade...
Part 2. Unlocking Bootloader
Okay. Now get DC Unlocker ready, select auto detect Huawei Phones. Now go to again call to *#*#2846579#*#* and enable manufacturer mode. Try auto detect. It should detect your phone. Now simply, press the Unlock button. You should get your bootloader code, take it up. Enable developer options on your phone, go to USB Debugging and turn it on, also turn OEM Unlocking on. Then open cmd and type cd (same path as dc unlocker folder). Type adb devices It should start ADB daemon. Check your phone, you should get ADB trust popup, Allow it! Then check again adb devices, your device should be there. Now type adb reboot bootloader After it type: fastboot oem unlock (your key) ex. fastboot oem unlock 12345678. Check your phone, and press yes. Yeet! Your bootloader is now unlocked! Type fastboot reboot to reboot! Now goes kinda easy part!
Part 3. Installing TWRP
Download TWRP for Huawei P Smart. I put links below.
Move file to same folder as DC Unlocker and rename it to recovery.img
Anyways, your phone should be resetted again...
Go again enable developer options + enabling USB Debugging. Then again confirm...
Now do again adb reboot bootloader now type fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img Now it should be flashed. Get into TWRP by pressing Power button and Volume up. Now you can root and flash zips!
Thats it, i hope it helped :good:

Hi ! Hope you saved the unlock code somewhere
If yes, you can upgrade any way you want. Just redo 'fastboot oem unlock xxxxx' after successful upgrade. (Worked for me on EMUI 9.0.1.115)
It will unlock and wipe again..
As for me, this is the point I'm stuck at :
- latest EMUI FIG-LX1 9.0.1.120 (C432)
- bootloader unlocked
- can flash twrp, allow it to prevent being overriden, then flash Magisk 19.3 without error in the log.
After that, phone boots ok but Magisk Manager says 'not installed' and TWRP must be reflashed again.
Anyone can help further ? I've read about patched boot images to be flashed with fastboot. Are they just Magisk patched or some additional security level hacking required ?
Thanks XDA
Hi.
Just FYI, afters hours, I managed to finish the procedure and restore full root/magisk under latest EMUI 9.1.0.120 (E)
I had to use magisk uninstaller under TWRP, then reflashed Magisk 19.3
Now everything sticks :
- TWRP 3.2.0_1
- Root access
- Magisk is detected as installed and running
I mainly use "systemless hosts" with Adaway and it's OK.
Did not test any other module yet.

Just unlock bootloader with same way on emui 9.
Hey there! I've tried downgrading but i instantly get the message "Software install failed." before it even starts to install. Any ideas?
Can't downgrade from android 9.1, everytime said Software install failed
Thanks for the tutorial. I was able to install the older EMUI 8.0 version and unlock the bootloader of a FIG-LX1 (C432). Two tips:
I was able to use a uSD formatted in FAT32, I did not need to format it again using ExtFAT
When using the DC Huawei Bootloader Codes app from PlayStore to buy the credits, select Android 7 to get charged for just 4 credits, otherwise it will try to charge for a 3-day license
Make sure the phone has 8.0.0.128A or older, and DC Unlocker 2 recognizes the phone properly before buying anything (if it is not the correct version, it will tell you to use the test/probe point method)

I can only thank you hugely for this clear concise instruction. Well worth £3.41 to DC Unlocker developers! Finally an unlocked bootloader on my wifes phone. I'm a definite Xiaomi phone fan compared to the ridiculous hoops Huawei make people go thru with their locked down phones. Gave up with Samsung years back too for the same reason. Cheers

[Guide] T-Mobile OP 7 Pro, Flash Firmware - Unlock Bootloader - TWRP & ROOT

Greetings, and a brief disclaimer;
--Disclaimer--
I am not responsible if you lose data or your device grows legs and runs away from you...
by following any of the instructions in this post, you take sole responsibility whatever happens to you or your device and any one else involved.
--Throughout this process we will be continuously wiping the device.--
--This tutorial flashes the International Firmware, you will not be running T-Mobiles Firmware.--
--If you want T-Mobiles Firmware this is not for you.--
---------------
Greetings fellow T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro Users and Developers!
I am excited after much frustration and beating my head against the wall, screaming profanities at T-Mobile & OnePlus for locking down this amazing phone.
Me and my Friend have FINALLY found out how to Bootloader Unlock, TWRP and ROOT the OnePlus 7 Pro from T-Mobile!
I know this is a longer guide, but that is because there were quite a few steps for the T-Mobile variant. A few snags were hit with the T-Mobile variant so that's why this guide is so lengthy.
The extra benefit of this guide is:
* You will have the DUAL SIM feature working. - I can confirm as I have placed two SIM's in the device and switched between them, T-Mobile disabled one of the OP 7 Pro SIM Slots, but with the Firmware Flash you get it back, I find that Flashing to International Firmware an important step as your getting a major feature of the device back. --Though you will need to buy a Dual SIM tray if you want to use two SIM's, this is where I bought mine: OnePlus 7 Pro DUAL SIM Tray
* You will get working Sound, if you go straight to Android Q from the flash and install TWRP * Magisk you will have audio issues. - I didn't think to test what else went wrong, but that I know did.
* DRM is working, I can stream Netflix content.
* Audio Fixes and Camera Features appear and sound great.
* I have not had stability issues such as crashes, reboot or other unwanted.
* WiFi, Bluetooth, DUAL GSM Radio's working properly.
* You can switch between the services of both SIM's properly via the pulldown menu, as well you can set up SIM defaults for particular actions.
* T-Mobiles VoLTE is working, as is VoWiFi. - Nice if your like me and live primarily in a basement apartment and get crap signal.
* You will not need to get T-Mobile's stupid Bootloader Unlock Token (BUT), that can take upwards of two weeks to get, to unlock the bootloader with this method. -- Skip the line, Yes please! I like skipping past BUT's.
--What you need to do first!--
You MUST get your phone Permanently CARRIER UNLOCKED BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANYTHING HERE!!!
----
--GUIDE--
1. I applied T-Mobiles: (9.5.9 Security Patch) I saw and installed it on July 23rd 2019 - This was needed in order to get the Flashing tool to work as it would get stuck on Param because without that patch the EDL would not allow the tool to flash the OnePlus 7 Pro.
2. I enabled ADB Debugging and used: TOOL ALL IN ONE to install my OnePlus 7 Pro Drivers, I also enabled Advanced Reboot in Developer Options.
2a. If you don't know how to enable Developer Options or ADB Debugging & Advanced Reboot here is how...
2b. Go into Settings, About Phone, TAP Build Number until it pops up that you are a developer (if you have a password/fingerprint set up it will ask you to put it in.).
2c. Go to Settings, System, Advanced Options, Developer Options.
2d. Enable, Advanced Reboot, USB Debugging.
3. I followed the Tutorial on this link to install the International Firmware (WARNING THIS WILL WIPE YOUR Phones DATA!!!): [GUIDE]How to convert TMobile OP7 to International.
4. I then updated the phone through the phones OTA updater via Settings, System, System Updates all the way until it had no more updates. ( If we installed Android Q before this we found that the speaker had issues during a Google Duo call. So something about how this all stacks and builds up together breaks if you don't do this in order.)
5. We then downloaded and placed: Android Q Beta onto the root of the OnePlus 7 Pro storage.
5a I went to Settings, System, System Update, Options, Local Upgrade.
5b If you have the Android Q firmware in the right place you will get that as an option to flash, once it's done click the button to reboot.
6. Unlocking the Bootloader.
6a. Enable Developer Options.
6b. Now we enable OEM Unlocking, and Advanced Reboot if not already. ( If you did not previously get your device Permanently SIM Unlocked you will not be able to enable OEM Unlocking, and you will be stuck unless you flash back to T-Mobile's Firmware and use their proprietary SIM Unlock APP. ).
6c. Press power button and reboot to Bootloader.
6d. Run the command ( fastboot oem unlock ). It should ask you on the phones screen if you want to, say yes.
6e. Run the command ( fastboot oem device-info ). Check to see if the bootloader unlock is True or False, True is expected. If False unlock the bootloader via other methods.
7. Booting TWRP & Flashing TWIRP + Magisk.
This was a bit tricky as the existing tutorials did not work with my device and I had to add a step.
First get the TWRP.IMG & TWRP Installer ZIP files ready as well grab Magisk by downloading them here: Official/Unofficial TWRP recovery for OnePlus 7 Pro. & Magisk
7a. Run the command ( fastboot boot TWRP.IMG ) The phone should then boot into what looks like full TWRP, well sorta, it's not really installed yet.
7b. If 7a fails as it did with me Run the Command ( fastboot set_active b ) then try 7a command again, if that fails as well run ( fastboot set_active a ). and repeat.
7c. Once you have booted TWRP put the TWRP installer ZIP on the phone in the root directory.
7d. Now we get the Magisk installer zip on the root of the phone as well.
7e. Now we install TWRP installer ZIP first then Magisk installer ZIP.
Reboot - Enjoy and install custom ROMs & Kernels!

I get the failed message you talk about in step 7b. When I try to run the commands "fastboot set_active b" it doesn't recognize that command or the other to set to a. I'm stuck not being able to install TWRP and proceed to root. Any ideas?

Yes I was carrier unlocked.
If anybody comes here looking to root, this guide does not work. You need to follow the guide to convert to international
Help please, unlocked bootloader and tried to install twrp image. Screen stayed stuck on fastboot screen with the one + symbol.?
I was wondering if network bands change after flashing to international rom. Will it continue to be NA region or will it change?
Correct you need to first flash to international version. Then use this guide.
Tool ALL in one does not work anymore with this phone. - I recommend you do not use this method any more as its method I used will no longer work.

Yes, change it back and forth (Your goal is to get Fastboot Boot TWRP.IMg to boot.... so switch your active... A-B partition with step 7b and try 7a again on each partition.... a and b. one or the other will work depending on what partition is currently active.):
7A: fastboot boot TWRP.IMG
7B: fastboot set_active a - to - fastboot set_active b

My experience has been that all the existing bands have worked the same... I have continued to connect to T-Mobile's 600 + 700 Mhz spectrum.
I have been running the International Firmware since the initial posting of this guide.
I thought that they would be the same after flashing.Just wanted to confirm.
Thank you
Just got this phone today, and I just want to make sure I'm clear. If I go through these steps, I'll be on Q DP3, but I don't need to go through the waiting period via T-Mobile (I bought my phone outright) but after I get on DP3, can I then flash the International stock ROM and be good, or will I always have to use a custom ROM after doing these steps?? I saw somewhere that Bootloader unlocked is grayed out after you go to DP3 and then International ROMs. Thanks.
Hi, On my T-Mobile O7pro
I tried the command
Fastboot boot TWRP.img
It replaced my stock boot image and now I can't boot again, even to the supposed TWRP recovery
I also switched partitions countless times and tried same process.
I'll appreciate if I get a feedback. Thanks
Hi,
Please someone experienced a black screen in Qhd and 90Hz after doing that, in the 11.0.2.* ??
thx in advance.
