@the Doctor ok
Ran into an issue, Samsung Account, "session expired". Logs me out instantly. Also can you remove the tamper lock that appears on boot?
Also I can confirm that Dolby Atmos works after unroot. Very nice sound.

@jrkruse
Can I flash this without wiping data coming from stang5litre 5.0 Edition v2 Aroma s7e?

Awesome this fixes all the issues I had: Wi-Fi calling, Video Calling, 911, e-mail app and adding languages to Samsung Keyboard
@jkruse I did crash in upload trying to re-root:
I tried to flash the ENG kernel using the AP button in Odin, is that correct? With Stang's ROM it was the CSC....
I am suspecting it may have been Secure Startup that caused the boot-loop.
Jkruse, can you confirm to use the AP button in Odin to flash the ENG? I turned off secure boot.
Thanks for great work!!

[ROM]EG01 - Factory STOCK ODIN Image - VZW LTE Tab 10.1

I have installed and tested this on my own Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. Installed successfully with Odin3 1.85. Can also verify the standing root method for LTE devices with kernel.zip and recovery.zip works.
Onto the ROM

This is the STOCK VZW Galaxy Tab 10.1" 4G LTE Factory Firmware.
This includes everything,
boot.img
cache.img
recovery.img
system.img
fusetrigger.bin
lte_modem.bin
modem.bin
You will need ODIN, and the drivers for your tab to flash this.
Instructions:
•Power down your tablet
•Then power up tablet by holding the power button and volume down (landscape view it will be the closest to the power button)
•Wait till you see the Samsung Galaxy logo and release power button
•You should be seeing a screen matching the one below (2 options recovery and ODIN)
•Click the volume up button (farthest from power in landscape) this will set you tablet in ODIN mode...
•Once your TAB is in ODIN (Downloading) Mode, connect it to your PC, you should see the COM port with a number in Yellow.
•Put the tar you downloaded (see link below) in the PDA slot. MAKE SURE THE ONLY THINGS THAT ARE CHECKED IS AUTO REBOOT and F.RESET TIME
•Hit Start
•It'll auto reboot once it's done.
Congrats, you are now back to stock.

I can verify that krylon360's files/method works. After breaking my recovery I found his posts and used his method to return to stock. I would actually suggest to ALL LTE owners to download those files and store somewhere safe if you intend to continue trying new ROMs/Kernels. After restoring the factory ROM I went on to Liquid Speed with an OC of 1.4.
Wouldn't have been possible without krylon360.
Just used this to set my Gtab back to stock. Worked like a charm.
Warning, don't be a dummy like me and forget to backup your titanium backup file, and factory cwr nand to your computer.
Gaurantee I won't forget to do that again. lol
This method worked for me as well. Got some kinds of rings on my screen after only having the tab for 2 weeks so had to revert to stock before shipping it back to sammysong.
Thanks! Files saved on laptop if ever needed again.

Is this the i905.02 v.eh04?
Kernel Version 2.6.36.3
Build Number HMJ37.EH04.SCH-I905.EH04
or is this a precursor to the EHO4 build?

This is the prior version to EH04 (EG01). You'll be prompted after installation, that there is an update available which will bring you to EH04.

You might want to check out this thread regarding ODIN for mac. If you try it remember to have KIES for MAC installed first. That should give you the proper drivers... at least it does on Windows:
http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/403407-odin-mac-download.html
Good Luck.
I had bricked my Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE. I used the above method and revived it back to life.
Many thanks to ifiweresolucky for this fine fix. It saved me $700 for a new tablet!!
Thank you for this.. love you guys.
Would a kind person please, please dump a PIT file for the SCH-i905? If you can figure out which partition contains the PIT file, you should be able to dump it with something like this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 of=/sdcard/sch_i905.pit bs=4096
You might be able to view partitions by type with something like the following command:
Code:
ls -l /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/
My APP partition is 256MB and the EG01 system.bin is 312MB so I can not flash back to stock with Odin, fastboot or nvflash. No adb, no recovery, Heimdall does not work.
stuck
well i have used the file to go back to stock lots of times, but this time i cant get on vzw network also get cannot open sales code on boot up any idea whats up thanks in advance
This method saved me, THANK YOU OP!
Has anyone seen a stock ICS image for the VZW 10.1. This HC image is great for going back to original but it might be nice to ODIN a clean ICS.
Granted it only takes about 20 for HC to update to ICS but once or twice it took a few days to begin the update process.

I had to put it down for a few days. I am at an impasse. Everything looks good, but it never reboots. I let it stay overnight, but woke up with a blank scree. When I manually reboot, it is stuck on the Samsung logo, which is the same symptom that initially brought me here.
Thank you. Your files and instructions worked perfectly.
To add to your instructions... not that there is anyone left... after restoring to factory default, to activate without an active SIM card:
1. Press top left corner of screen
2. Press top right corner of screen
3. Press bottom left corner of screen
4. Press bottom right corner of screen
5. Press volume button closest to the power button in landscape

Try flashing baseband lp6
Will do any leads where i can find the lp6 baseband searching is not helping me out.
Thanks in advance
Here's the latest LP6 modem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24787908&postcount=309 Just flash with CWM Recovery.
But why not flash a LP6 based rom? Like AlBa or TheMIDTeam's B&G?
The ICS update id did is the hacked 4.03 one via odin I had root on the phone before doing it. The guide i followed is www . androidaddicted . com / samsung-3/how-to-upgrade-samsung-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-to-ice-cream-sandwich-ics-4-0-3-n7000xxlp1-411.html so i dont have CWM on it only download mode, should i reflash to a stock 2.3.6 rom ? If so I have no idea where this phone is from (region wise) is there a way to tell so i flash the correct stock rom?
Thanks.
I just tried to flash the LP6 modem in odin and get

Dontflsh via Odin flash via cwm recovery
I dont have CWM only odin on the phone, when i turn it on with vol down i get download mode, if i turn it on with vol up and the center button i get android system recovery, can i rename the modem file something where it will work with the apply update from external storage option ?
I put the modem zip on a microsd and tried to use android recovery to flash and it says signature verification failed
So i just downgraded to 2.3.6 and will properly root and install CWM on it and then do the ics install thanks, 2.3.6 works like a champ with the phone calls.
Yeah, then it's definately the modem file that messes things up.
With CMWR installed you can flash any rom you like in the developers section. The ICS roms I've tried are imilka's CM9v2 and ICS Stunner 5.0 Beta. CM9 was absolutely great but I like the added functionality that Stunner brings to the phone. Both roms are based on open source Android so no Samsung apps, if you want the s-pen apps like taking a screenshot, s-memo, s-note etc. then you're better off flashing a rom based on the LP6 leak.
Cool ill look into those roms thanks for all the help.
Hi all,
sorry if this is stupid because im kind of new to this.
I am having a similar problem with my galaxy note gt-n7000. its upgraded to ICS (no root, no custom flashed roms etc) from my carrier (Vodafone AU) and it was fine but after a week it also gets no call audio..
When i attempt a call, it connects successfully, (Although it doesn't make any calling sound) and I cannot hear the other party, but they can hear me
Im pretty sure its not a hardware issue, as other applications such as viber and tango both work fine.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

Yes. The modem tarball is flashed with Odin, and the ROMs are flashable zips, flashed in a custom recovery (philz, twrp, cwm, etc).

Mobile odin does not support flashing baseband (modems) on our device.
Is the Modem TARball just the modem or does it change the firmware as well? I don't want to Knox my device.

It will not affect your bootloader.
NG2 Modem
Anyone else having trouble getting the NG2 Modem to install?
Downloaded it, Using latest Samsung drivers on a Win7 x64 Laptop, Odin 3.07, Acted like it installed just fine, then auto-reset. Checked Baseband and still showed NAE. Rebooted to Download and tried again without Auto-reset. Again acted as if it installed just fine. Unplugged, held down power for 10 seconds to reboot, and again baseband still only shows NAE instead of NG2.
Pointers?
Power off and boot to download. Always worked for me.

1. Power off your phone completely (do not reboot to download mode).
2. Using pc Odin (v1.85 or higher), place the modem only in the phone slot (or PDA - whatever works. I usually use the phone slot but others swear that PDA is the way to go)
3. Manually boot into download mode on your phone. Continue past the warning prompt.
4. Plug your phone into your pc
5. Verify that your phone is recognized by Odin, and that force reset and auto reboot are UNCHECKED.
6. Flash the modem.
7. Once it finishes, unplug your phone and manually reboot.
8. If it doesn't stick, try it in the opposite slot (phone vs PDA)
Basically just follow unknownforce's instructions in the OP of the firmwares thread.

Installed fine for me. Hung on first boot at yellow Sprint screen. Rebooted and all went well... I'm going to test drive for the weekend and see how it goes.
Has anyone tried a dirty flash without wiping data?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Worked like a charm. I was already rooted on NAE. Flashed the update, and didn't even lose my data. Then proceeded to flash the modem. All is well. Thanks!!!
Dirty flashed from NAE/mf9 after wiping dalvik and cache in philz, powered off, uploaded modem. powered off but it rebooted and started upgrading. went though upgrade, version says 4.4.2, modem says ng2, flashed deodexed hotspot, all is good.
Does it matter if the modem is flashed before the ROM?
Seems like it didn't in the past, but this time I tried to flash the modem with Odin 3.07 before flashing the rom and Odin fails saying there is no PIT partition. (I'm currently on NAE) Here's the full dialog FWIW...

UPDATE: The ODIN "no PIT partition" error was fixed simply by moving (unbelievably) the USB cable from a front port to a port on the back. I've used that port on the front with ODIN numerous times in the past. This sure doesn't make sense to me. Was then able to flash the modem and then flash the ROM. Everything seems to be working so far.

A GIANT thank you to @MJHawaii for helping me learn this process!!!
Thank you for this. This has been a very much needed update IMO. Your work is always appreciated here. Whether or not the odin image is rooted, it is an easy fix for sure. Once again thank you. And enjoy the fresh Lolli.
I specifically decided not to use a rooted image this time due to the fact that being rooted blew up the ota for me. I wanted a place to start from that was clean. I figure our first 5.x update was a good place to kick out a new, fresh baseline build.

You read the big red warning at the top of the post!
I9505 and I9505G isnt the same device?
Same way as I9505 ROM works in a I9505G, should happen otherwhise (or no?)
I just installed this and so far everything is working great. One small thing is confusing me though. I can't seem to find the settings for the Home button. When I push it nothing happens, unless I hold it down and then I get the app switcher. I feel really dumb right now. Lol

This is NOT A ROM. Doesn't it SAY that in the OP? Does it not also say that it will brick any device OTHER than an i9505G? They are NOT the same device. They use completely different partition tables. Rom devs take that into account. Since this is not a rom, it will not take that into account.

Now I am soft bricked. I can successfully flash a stock recovery and get into recovery but that's it. Odin flashing any full image fails at the same spot.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I can flash a stock recovery but attempting to flash a modem fails at the same spot. Confused.
Best regards,
Derek
What rom are you coming from?
Latest Stock 4.4.4 Rooted (I think NF3 but can't tell since I can't start up )
Just installed this last night on my stock S4 GPE. Working flawlessly and the phone feels a lot snappier than with 4.4.4. Lollipop is such a nice update.
Not exactly a problem, but I notice that the stock Android Messenger (SMS/Text) app is gone and that it's now Hangouts that by default handles texts/SMS. I find no separate stock texting app installed, unlike on my Nexus 6 with Lollipop.

Try a different USB cable and./or USB port. See if that makes any difference.
People have been asking about root quite a bit. I put together a new tool for those that aren't sure how to install it on a phone like this.
DOWNLOADS:
GPE Root
https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager (Use the i9505 NON touch version for rooting)
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
INSTALL:
o) Create a C:\GPE-Root folder
o) Unzip GPE-Root.zip to the C:\GPE-Root folder. NOTE: If you do not follow directions, then do NOT have spaces in the path you choose to use or it WILL fail.
o) Copy the CWM recovery img file to the C:\GPE-Root\recovery folder
o) Copy the SuperSU zip file to the C:\GPE-Root\supersu folder
USAGE:
o) Run the run.bat in the C:\GPE-Root folder
o) Follow instructions
NOTE: If your phone is not detected in ADB sideload mode, install the universal ADB diver in the C:\GPE-Root\ADB_USB folder

Did you by chance turned on the Samsung Activation Lock?.This happened to me the first time i tried to install custom rom, i thought the phone had bricked but I was able to get into recovery mode and restart the OS. Try booting into recovery mode and choose restart system If not you will need to flash a stock rom but it needs to be the same version you had.

Fixed it! I flashed about a dozen different files on Odin, finally got a 5.1.1 tar.md5, that's working

Which one worked?? Please tell me! Stuck in the same situation
This error is due to the Samsung Activation Lock being on before flashing a custom rom, be sure to turn this off in the future before installing another rom. If by chance you forget and get the error just try flashing back the stock version of the rom you currently have and it should come up.
