[Module][UPDATED] AirAudio System-Audio Mode - Magisk

What's good everyone!
I use the AirAudio app and pretty much enjoy streaming my music from services (such as Spotify) to any capable device at home, work or at my friend's house.
Now the module itself hasn't been updated and isn't compatible with the latest version of Magisk (v16), so I went ahead and made it compatible with it.
It'll be attached to this thread, simply download and install it manually.
I'll also try and upload it to the repository.
Note:
I am NOT affiliated with AirAudio.
I'm simply a user like you. I just noticed it's outdated and updated it.
Note for Moderators:
In case the actual AirAudio dev reaches out to you, let me know and feel free to close this thread.
In the meantime, I'd like users to use my updated module to use their app to the full extent.

Me? - Update

I have installed it in LOS 15.1. How to use it? Can't see an UI?

I loved!

How do this compare to the air audio app on play store? I cannot find any app or setting to use this module after installing with magisk

you have to use both together. This module allows the app to use the "system mode" from the app and get the sound directly internally to send it over the wlan. The other mode from air audio is much worse as it is has to play the sound over the speaker and record it over the microphone.
For me this Magisk package is working wonderful: just installing this module. Afterwards the app from the Playstore and voila: I am able to play music from my phone to most every wifi-based receivers. The app is worth every cent!

works on s9/s9+?

It should work with any phone regardless because it depends onAirAudio itself.

There's no UI to it, it just enables the system-mode in AirAudio, yoiu'll have to check the app to see the option.
This module basically re-enables it.

Not working for me
Hello
I have a oneplus 6 running magisk 17.1
The module does not work for me. Airaudio never requests root privileges, is that the problem

Nope, that's why you use this module!
In the AirAudio app > Settings > System Audio button must be green.
Sent with much love & Android. OnePlus 5T

v3 breaks the app. Only microphone mode available. Had to revert v2 to get back system mode. Running Magisk v16 and MM 5.8.3.

How do you downgrade I can't seem to find V2? Thanks

I have today the same experience with my oneplus 6 under Oreo. Uninstall v3 and install v2: everything works as expected again in system mode.

The module should already be up to date now but I can't check it right now because my current device isn't rooted.
One user is reporting it's still not working but this might be related to another issue with Magisk.
Please check if v4+ is available inside Magisk Manager and contact me at [email protected] if you face any issues

I have same issuewith v4: reverting to v2 works.

Viper4Android + Magisk on Nougat

Hi,
Have been using Viper4Android on MM a lot. Now that I have upgraded to Nougat (Open Beta 2), all I get is a valid installation but for some reason it does not process my audio. Please see screenshot.

Uninstall the viper apk..And flash viper4arise zip on twrp..
Thanks, but I am looking for a systemless install.
This has been working and others report it's working (on other devices though).
I wonder if anyone has tried it on a 3T with Nougat.
So is it possible to get it working systemless? Thanks!
You can use viper4rarise with magisk. Safetynet not triggered. But the problem is selinux status. Its always enforcing for some reason. But yi can change it from terminals using setenforce 0 command. Then it works. You need to do it every time after reboot. I tried to make selinux permissive. Bug it triggers safetynet. So im swt with running everytime post reboot

Systemless user here. If you're interested, I've created a Magisk module of ViPER4Android 2.3.4.0, which in my opinion is the best version as it had drivers of different quality you could choose. My Magisk module runs on Super High Quality.
And yes, I'm running it on Nougat/OOS 4.0.2. If you want it on Open Beta, send me the following files:
/system/etc/audio_effects.conf
/system/etc/audio_policy.conf
/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf

Not a problem. Let me know how it goes.
I installed your module. How do I know if it's working properly? I tried changing settings while using google play music but didn't hear any changes. Driver status is enabled but processing shows "no".
Edit: tried listening a podcast and viperfx seems to be working. I can hear changes in sound. How can I get google play music also working?

I forgot about that. At the moment I cannot get streaming via Play Music working with ViPER's FX Compatible Mode set as normal. Only locally stored music played in Play Music will make ViPER work with it.
However, setting ViPER's FX Compatible Mode to Compatible will make it work with both local and streaming music in Google Play Music, along with other audio apps.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Viper works here for everything but Google play music. The files you're modifying don't include the XML files, from experience in Nougat just modifying the conf files didn't make any difference, but I may be wrong (Certainly sounds so). What changes did you make may I ask? Removing deep buffer and raw only makes any difference for me if I modify the XML files in Nougat.

[Module] [Discontinued] iYTBP for Magisk - Ad-Free YouTube with Background Play

Update - 11/28/2017
After recent events I've decided to discontinue this module.
You must now use the official stuff instead.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible!
Note: To avoid any issues within Magisk you must fully uninstall this module prior getting the official one.
Disclaimer:
Code:
So yeah, I'm not responsible for any hardware damages,
device not booting up, data loss or whatever.
You must know what are you doing.
Backup everything important before flashing stuff!!
Background:
- Magisk allows us to get systemless root access, also to add modules to enhance our Android experience overall.
- YouTube Background Playback is (was?) a beloved Xposed module that nowadays is not possible to have in Nougat or above.
- There are already a couple of these modules here in XDA, but I decided to build my own and share it with you guys.
Requirements:
- Android 5.0+
- Rooted device.
- Magisk 14.0
- Magisk Manager 5.3.0
- To know your device's architecture.
Installation:
- Disable your current YouTube app in Settings (if any).
- Choose your architecture (ARM, ARM64, x86 or x64).
- Install within Magisk Manager (Magisk -> Modules -> "+" -> Choose downloaded zip from storage -> Reboot when prompted).
- Disable automatic Play Store updates. Or you can use @hinxnz's Detach mod to stop PS notifications once and for all.
- Profit!
Updating:
- Just flash again the module in Magisk/recovery and reboot.
Note:
All YouTube apks are no-dpi, so they are compatible with any screen size.
Bugs:
- Some users are reporting that after installing module and rebooting, YouTube is not there and module shows as "pending" in Magisk. Flashing in recovery fixes this in most cases.
- This module does not break SafetyNet, so don't try to hide it from any app or you may get errors.
- After flashing the module YouTube app does not show in drawer. Re-enabling app in Settings -> Apps might work.
- YouTube FC. Make sure your ROM does not theme the app itself, i.e. using Substratum. Disable theming and try again.

@ZaneZam, @Razerman and @laura almeida for their new "vanced" YouTube base APKs. Great work there!

Current YouTube version is 12.45.56 for ARM and ARM64; 12.44.53 for x86 devices; 12.32.60 for x64 devices, all stock and black-themed.

Bugs:
Not a bug per-se, but YouTube's base apk may be a couple of versions behind Play Store's one.
Play Store will ask for an update. If you update by this method, you will loose your current perks.
There are "fixes" for this, i.e. using Titanium Backup to detach the app from P.S., it may stop working after a while.

Viper4Android 2.5.0.5 Magisk module does not work

I'm trying to install the Viper4Android 2.5.0.5 module in Magisk. I installed the module and the app and then rebooted, but the driver status in Viper4Android under enabled indicates a "no".
I've tried some of the settings, but it does not seem to work. The sound is all the same. Any idea how to get this to work? There were no additional instructions for getting V4A to work.

I can confirm that the above link works great..
I was hoping I didn't have to use that workaround, but I guess I have no choice. I don't know if anyone will agree with me, but I find it annoying to have to decipher and read through all these guides and forum posts to figure out how to get something to work. I wish things just "worked".

Only issue I had was it not working initially, but I set the mode to "compatible" instead of "normal" it instantly started working. In case you have issues with it not starting like I did.
Hello, I have a OnePlus 3T (Oreo - 8.0.0 - OxygenOS Open 20 ) I was in the big sh*t installing this app but now it's working so what I do ?
I simply install 4/5 things :
- Viper4Android APK here ( http://www.mediafire.com/file/xonl4jha2e4vez1/ViPER4Android_FX_v2505.zip )
- BusyBox you can get it on the Play Store
- This Magisk module for OP3T but if you have an other phone search an other compatible module ( https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298977808 )
- The SELinux Switch [IMPORTANT] ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=22073#downloads )
UNINSTALL ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF V4A ON YOUR DEVICE.
Now I'm gona show you how to get this sh*t working
Simply install unzip the Viper4Android folder and install this apk :
ViPER4Android_FX_v2505_A7.x_Nougat_IO_test_fix.apk
(Maybe a newer version can be delivered in the future I think you can install it).
Then install BusyBox.
Open V4A and install the Drivers.
When it's done go to Magisk -> Modules -> + and install the zip module for your device.
/!\REBOOT /!\
Finally you just have to install The SELinux Switch.apk and switch your SELinux to Permissive (maybe you have to reboot but for me when I reboot my SELinux go back to Enforcing SELinux so I switch it back when I reboot).
[Note : I don't know if it's important but I was flashing a zip of V4A that's install me V4A as a system app and it wasn't working (error I/O) this is not important but it maybe install me other files so maybe you have to do this if it's not working at the end].
V4A is working now (don't forget to switch off your stock equalizer in Settings -> Sound -> Balance)
If you have any problem or questions contact me.

top magisk modules

Just rooted my Pixel 3a last night running Android Q Beta 6. What are some good magisk modules that I should install to make the Pixel 3a even better? Thanks
Active Edge Mod for Pixel Devices - allows you to customize the side sensor buttons. I have it set up to the default Google assistant except when the camera is open - then it takes a picture.
Viper4 AndroidFX - there are several versions available. They all use the same driver and have the same options. The difference is is only in the GUI.
Vanced Youtube - provides ad free Youtube experience.
Advanced Charging Controller (by VR25) - allows a user to customize how and when the phone is charged. It helps prolong the battery life.
Systemless Hosts - more of a Magisk setting, but it does install this module. Allows ad blocking through Adaway or similar ad blocking app.

the active edge guy is SUPER on the ball and posts updated versions in his telegram group if you're that way inclined. but yeah youtube vanced is my only functioning module right now. i'm sure most of them will be updated for Q in the coming months.
I'm a fan of energized pro for ad blocking, but you'll need the systemless hosts and BusyBox modules for it to work. These days I root my phone mainly for ad blocking.
for Vanced Youtube, is there a different module needed for it to work? I installed it in my Pixel 3a Rooted/Bootloader unlock, and the app was not even showing up

I figured it out, seems like I had to uninstall the Normal Youtube app, after I did that, I rebooted my phone and it worked

I don't think you need to uninstall the actual Youtube app, but you do need to uninstall any "updates" for the Youtube app. I've found that after installing the Magisk module, I can go into the Playstore and pull up the Youtube app. There will be a "uninstall updates" button where the normal uninstall button would be. However you need to install the module first. Otherwise the button will uninstall the app instead of uninstalling the updates.
That's been my experience at least.....
Viper4 Android
Has anyone gotten Viper4 Android working on Android 10?
Yes. You have to install V4A FX v2.7.0.0 because v2.7.1.0 driver installation is broken on Q for now.

Here you have the APK. Install it and then the driver installation should install the magisk module.
I have the 2.7.1.0 version of Viper4Android installed and working just fine on Android 10. It was installed and working on Android 9 and it continued to work when I upgraded to Android 10. I sideloaded the .020 version of the Android 10 OTA image.
The Magisk module was last updated on May 31, 2019, so it obviously hasn't specifically been updated for Android 10. Perhaps it won't install on Android 10, but will work if upgraded from Android 9. I also have the Audio Modification Library module and the Audio Compatibility Patch module installed as well. Perhaps that makes a difference?????

I'm using V4A 2.7.1.0 on Q and it's working fine. I had to flash Ainur, Audio Modification Library and Audio Compatibility Patch to get it work though!

Just rooted my Pixel 3a last night running Android Q Beta 6. What are some good magisk modules that I should install to make the Pixel 3a even better? Thanks

Open Magisk, go into settings, scroll down and click on Systemless Hosts, reboot, then install Adaway. Boom! system wide adblocking.

Comdirect photoTAN app detecting root

Since version 8.3.0 additional measures to detect root have been added, do not update as MagiskHide won't be able to prevent detection. Until a solution is found I would recommend staying on the previous version for as long as possible.
Finding out what exactly is causing the root detection is beyond my technical abilities but I would provide as much information needed to those willing to help.

Update: December 14th 2021 - Method no longer sufficient
---
The solution found by @pxrave appears to be working:

Hey fellas I got it working and others apps detect magisk before.
Update to latest v23
Install modules riru and riru unshare
Remove data from tan app
Go to magisk hide and tick all process to hide included the isolated
Start the tan app and do the activation again.
Problem you need wait 2 days to activate because comdirect use new activation process for photo tan app.
Working fine all version 8.3

also stcpay yesterday is updated to 1.6 and started to detect my magisk canary (22105)
I can confirm what swour says.
on Android 9 and 11, my magisk root is recognized, magiskhide is active and the phototan app is added.
Yes this is a serious problem. I used xposed magisk and x privacy... Latest comdirect tan app detect all...
+1
+1 big issue for me
Only solution I found (for now): Go back to version 8.2.1 using a backup or any mirror, e.g. https://downloadapk.net/comdirect-photoTAN-App.html
Unfortunately you need to register again then
I have already applied the update. The easiest method is to wait few days for a magisk fix, right? I would can wait few days, no problem. I have an absolutly clean Android 8.1 build on the phone for banking. It's crazy that the bank is make it so difficult for us to use a save own build.

Perhaps that is too optimistic. I doubt that one app is of great interest

Until the new root detection is also available for other apps, it will be fixed quickly.

Yes, of course, if other app developers find a similar way. So, congrats to the developers of the phototan app to find it.

I don't think so, there is at least one other app that shows the same behavior.
new root dedction
i updated stc pay yesterday to 1.6 and it found my magisk canary (22105) the think i notes is the (isolated) is added to the app !!!
forum.xda-developers.com
I also noticed the (isolated) thing with me.
I tried with v23 this morning, w/o success :-(
Same here, got v23 and working safetynet-fix, no success. Downgraded photoTAN to v8.2.1 .
+1
I'm not surprised, there is nothing in the changelog that this has been fixed.
Downgrading to 8.2.0 or 8.2.1 doesn't work for me. Did you do something else than uninstalling 8.3.0 and installing 8.2.1?

I have a ZTE Blade L130 with the old photo tan app, that is my rescue. But you can't activate the old one. But it's keep working.

I had to unhide the app in magisk hide and hide it again, after that it worked.
